Sprzątaj, uszczęśliwiaj, uprawiaj seks

Jest nadzieja dla mężczyzn, którzy narzekają na oziębłość partnerek. Może zabrzmi to kontrowersyjnie, ale mogą sobie oni zapracować na lepsze życie seksualne. Ale jak? W prosty sposób. Im więcej pomagają swoim kobietom w pracach domowych, tym większe osiągają zadowolenie w łóżku. Faceci, oczywiście!

Amerykańscy naukowcy dowiedli, że pomagający w domu mężczyźni mają lepszy seks. A jeden z ekspertów, dr Scott Coltrane zbadał zależność między udziałem w pracach domowych a częstotliwością, z jaką faceci uprawiają seks. Jak się okazało, im częściej mężczyźni biorą się za sprzątanie, tym szczęśliwsze są kobiety. I w konsekwencji chętniej kochają się ze swoimi facetami.

A jak sytuacja wygląda, gdy mąż dużo czasu poświęca dzieciom? Nieciekawie. Taką nadgorliwość kobiety oceniają jako brak zainteresowania jej osobą. Panowie – nianie rezygnują bowiem z romantycznych momentów i przytulania swojej partnerki. O pieszczotach nie ma nawet co wspominać…

I was thrilled to have gotten an email from my mentor, Scott Coltrane, at the University of California, Riverside informing me that he has just accepted a position as Dean of the University of Oregon College of Arts and Sciences.  The University of Oregon is getting an amazing scholar, administrator and human-being.  Any success I have enjoyed as a educator and a researcher so far in my career, is due in no small part to his influence.  He taught me the value of combining humanitarian and feminist social justice principles with an strong ethic that values diversity of both learning and doing.  He never backed down from a fight or an issue that he felt passionately about or that he felt was important for those he mentored.  Several times he trusted me to make decisions that were perhaps not “textbook” in terms of my progress in the programme (or my career).  When it came time to account for these, he was supportive and encouraged me to always keep my focus on what most important.  To be able to say that no matter what happened, you made sure to conduct yourself with honour, integrity, critical self-reflection, and an open heart and mind.  That way, you can rest assured that you made the best decision possible and you leave yourself open to new opportunities rather than second guessing the past. Three cheers for a man that I am proud to call both a colleague and a friend.  MULTI-MEDIA!!!  Great panel discussion which aired on Chicago Public Radio where Scott discusses his award-winning book Family Man.  Programme description:Parenthood: Contemporary Conceptions of Parenthood in America Scott Coltrane — Chair of the Sociology Department at the University of California, Riverside in Riverside California, and author of Family Man, which examines comtemporary fatherhoodLesley Ginsberg — Ginsberg’s most recent research examines constructions of 19th century American childhood and is working onThe ABC’s of the American Renaissance: Children’s Literature and American Culture, 1820-1870. She is an english professsor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Jill Hasday — Authored the recent article, “Parenthood Divided: A Legal History of the Bifurcated Law of Parental Relations,” researches the history of family law, the legal status of women, and anti-discrimination law, and teaches in the Law School at theUniversity of Chicago
