J. Grant Swank, Jr. The false religion is all around us. Those churches that have turned against the

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

The false religion is all around us.

Those churches that have turned against the Word of God, Christ as God, and the proclamation of personal salvation through His forgiving mercy, aid in damning America.

Those churches clustered into denominations add to the demonic force

Those clergy who preach other than Holy Scripture are digging the Republic’s pit deeper and deeper.

The Episcopal Church is a prime example of this apostasy. Of course, the biblical believers are moving out of that conclave to form their own Word witness.

The United Church of Christ (Congregational), to which Barack Hussein Obama and wife belong, is like unto the Episcopal antichrist spirit. Obama tries to fool the public with this Protestant tie but he is in fact a Marxist Muslim given to Islam World Rule.

Other denominations that have turned their backs on the God of Scripture include the Evangelical (a misnomer) Lutheran Church of America. Of course, the Unitarian/Universalist Society has always sided with the anti-God systems. These open doors to outright blasphemy will answer at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Pockets of wickedness worm their ways into other mainstream denominations in particular.

“They had a split. The pastor went for being ‘all-inclusive,’” the woman explained to me when speaking of an American Baptist Church nearby. When the biblical pastor followed the apostate advocate, there were not enough God loyalists to keep church doors open.

High Street Baptist Church in Portland Maine has gone apostate with “all-inclusive” etched into its church sign. That caused much pain for the biblically aligned; other Baptist churches within that association tried to get that one congregation to change its position, but to no avail.

A pastor in the Church of the Nazarene surveyed the present debate concerning the emerging church as well as some homosexual students at the denomination’s ministerial training institution. “What are they going to do with these men when they graduate and want to be ordained, then placed in a church?” he asked.

He predicted that in short time frame the Church of the Nazarene will condone homosexual practice. That holiness church would never have entertained such a notion a few years ago. Now the young turks are taking over, particularly through liberal NazNet website overseen by left-leaning Founder/Moderator Dave McClung. He is joined by Moderator Hans Deventer and Manager Scott Cundiff.

The spirit of antichrist rests upon liar Obama. He is surrounded by like spirits in his czars and shadow government. Congresspersons are a part of the dark spirit scheme as well.

Instead of there being a biblically strong American church to combat this devilment, there is fracture to right and left.

This turning backs on the God of Scripture is weakening the Republic’s stability. A nation without the God of the Bible cannot stand.

I went to the doctor yesterday. The diagnosis was not good. In fact, it was terminal. My Scott, the all-singing, all-dancing carbon love of my life, is, according to the very nice guy at Cycle Surgery, damaged beyond repair and needs a completely new frame. The frame, of course, is the expensive part of any bike; especially one constructed of carbon. The Scott’s injuries were sustained during my fall at the Beast. I knew at the time there would be some significant work to be done. When you turn the pedals and nothing happens it’s never a good sign, but I didn’t for a minute think it would come to this.

I’d like to say I took the news well – that I remained strong, kept control of my emotions and didn’t embarrass Mr CycleSurgery, or myself. Sadly, for both of us, this wasn’t the case and I have to admit there could have been an overactive lachrymal gland situation. In my defense, I was very attached to my bike. Having only recently acquired him, I wasn’t quite prepared for his untimely demise. Fortunately, Mr CS coped admirably with my emotional meltdown. Perhaps I’m not the first person to cry in the West Hampstead branch of CycleSurgery…

When I think of Scott. I think of light. He is a light to this world. Thats probably why I am totally not surprised for all the medical stuff he has to endure.

Everyone needs compassion,

Everyone needs forgiveness,

Yesterday was a hard day. Spending 5 hours at NIH (National Institute of Health). We had to pass security, they literally look through your truck, purse and you walk through a metal detector. Go to admissions which is a pretty long process, but truly enjoyable. The people there are wonderful. Much more people oriented than Johns Hopkins. We were speaking to our admissions lady, she was super chatty with us, I think it was because her name was Sonia, and Scott said our sister in law’s name is Sonya and she asked how she spells it. We talked about children, her daughter is 31 and how she wants grandbabies but her daughter told her she keeps on asking too much. I mentioned maybe you should just pray about it and trust the Lord to move her heart. The woman realized we were believers and she opened up even more because she was a believer. We were talking about how the process has been for Scott, looking for a solution to what is causing these spasms in him, she said she would pray for us today. Talking and filling out forms with her took about an hour.

Went to the neurology section, it was great! They had a little waiting room, a mini fridge with snacks, water, coffee a computer you could log into. They did everything to make people waiting super comfortable. We waited for about a half an hour maybe more. Met with the first nurse who just took Scotts stats, took his blood pressure while he was laying down then standing up really quick, mentioned his weight lose (he has lost a lot of weight over the past 3+ years), everything looked normal, he was healthy.

Had one of the interview Dr’s come in. Scott and her talked in a nerdy medical language that I understood slightly. Thanks to Scott Im getting better. This took about an hour and a half. She had us wait about 45 mins as she talked to the council of Dr’s, there were about 12 of them. She called us in. She informed us before that these dr’s were the top neurologists in the united states besides some guy in Texas.

Scott did amazing during the interview. I believe they were surprised on how well-educated he is about his condition. Towards the end the Dr was asking basic questions. Then he was asking Scott if his condition causes anxiety (We found out later that 90+% of the cases that come in the people are depressed or super anxious about their condition). Scott said of course when it happens he feels some anxiety because of the pain and what he has experience in the past after the pain. That during the pain is the only time he thinks about it, and its because when it occurs it hurts. But other than that he is not anxious about death or about losing his job or his families or friends response to it, because he has a great support system and he knows where he is going after he dies. Then Scott said “Do you wanna hear a funny story” and the main Doctor jumped right into that one and said “Sure I would love to hear a funny story”. I am thinking oh no what is Scott going to say is he going to share some embarrassing story from when he was a high school youth leader. He then shares the story from Jan 1, 2001. Scott was praying in the morning on his knees and as he was praying asking the Lord for help that day, the thought went through his head “I will walk with you”. He kinda blew it off and kept on praying and the same thought went through his head “I will walk with you”. Scott said okay God I got it I hear you, then again the thought went through his head “I will walk with you” . At that point Scott said okay I dont understand why this keeps going through my head but okay I hear you. He then got up took a shower and in the shower he got a bulge on the right side of his chest cavity and started losing his ability to walk and got all crumpled up. He called his dad and he came over and picked up Scott and took him to the ER. Pretty much that is when Scott started going to the doctors hard-core and pursuing whats been going on with his body. Its been almost three years ago. Then Scott shared that the Lord has walked him through this and this is why he is not anxious. That his church, family, close friends and job have been super supportive of him. That the Lord has not failed him he has walked with Scott. The Dr then responds “so you are a very religious man” and Scott says “I dont know about religious, but I know where I am going to go when I die. I know that Jesus christ died for me and I know when I eventually die and go to heaven I will be with him.”

Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is Mighty to Save
He is Mighty to Save

Forever, Author of Salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus Conquered the grave
- Mighty to Save by Hillsong

I sat there shocked. Couldn’t believe that Scott just shared the gospel with a whole council of the top neurology doctors. Part of me was like “Oh no they are not going to take him seriously, he should have just stuck to the facts and shared about his medical history” but then I just felt super comforted and thought this is the man I am going to marry and he is by far the boldest and most fearless man I have ever met. That the Lord is the great physician and only He has control over the hearts of men. The council to my surprise was actually pretty open to Scott sharing his beliefs. They thanked him and said they would be right with us. We waited in the waiting room and I cried. I knew that they were not tears of discouragement, but were tears that my heart is overflowed with joy in knowing Scotts heart and love for his savior Jesus.

So take me as You find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I surrender.
- Mighty to Save by Hillsong

The interview Dr met with us about 45 mins later to tell us the results from the council of doctors. The doctors said that they have never seen anything like this before. That Scott legitly has a medical condition, they are not 100% sure what it is. The thing that confounds them the most is that Scott is not like everyone else that comes in with a motion disorder, he is not depressed, he is not anxious, he has a great support system. Scott said this is because of his faith in Jesus. Also Scott has Type 1 diabetes, they are not sure if this comes into play. They said this is not cancer, not MS, not a whole bunch of other scary things, which my heart felt relieved. They said that this is a motion disorder and he is not crazy. They are going to continue looking into this as a team and would like permission to possibly plug him into some of their future approved trials.

My Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is Mighty to save
He is Mighty to save
Forever, author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Shine your light and left the whole world see
We’re singing for the glory of the risen King…Jesus
- Mighty to Save by Hillsong

So this may not look like the 100% right answer. But for both Scott and I, it’s a great answer. We see that the Lord is still walking with Scott, still has him in the palm of His hands and still has control over Scotts medical condition.

We have prayfully decided that for now, until after the wedding, we are not going to pursue anymore paths. We are taking a break from it to focus and preparing for marriage.

I am honored and blessed to be walking alongside this great man of faith. He truly walks out Matthew 5:16.

Matthew 5:16

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven

A picture of Scott while we were waiting….my last name is West so I always throw up the “West-Side” pretend gangsta sign…I gave Scott the nickname MonChiChi because on July 4th weekend in Florida he was looking for a nickname for me and couldn’t find one. He pulled up this website full of nicknames and one was MonChiChi. Since Scott was growing out his hair and beard I thought he looked just like one…and the nickname stuck. But yesterday while waiting for the Dr’s Scott was trying to make the west-side sign, we realized turning it upside down makes it the MonChiChi sign. Oh my seriously silly fiance…who can see goodness in every situation.

In memory of last week’s loss of the one and only Jackie Taylor, I thought the next few days should be reserved for revisiting other shocking deaths in the teen drama genre.

Some of these death scenes were shocking because they came out of nowhere.

Others blew us away simply because of who it was that died.

In other cases, it was the pure tragedy that chilled us to our bones.

This week, we pay tribute.

10. Scott accidentally shoots himself (Beverly Hills 90210, Episode 2.14: The Next 50 Years)

Scott Reiss" title="Black Monday by R. Scott Reiss" width="185" height="274" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-15665" />This gripping, high-concept thriller about an oil-eating microbe is written by best-selling author R. Scott Reiss. “Black Monday” is in movie development for release in 2012.

A plague that will cause the death of millions. A plague that will destroy countries. A plague that will plunge the world into a dark age. A plague that will make nobody sick…

When the first planes go down — in Europe, in California, in Asia — authorities blame terrorists. All flights are grounded as world leaders try to figure out how the global assault has been coordinated. And when cars, ships, and factories stop running too, it becomes clear that the common link is oil. Somehow a microbe, genetically engineered to destroy petroleum, has infected the world supply. The world descends into a new dark age.

Dr. Gregory Gillette, an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control, is a disease hunter specializing in microbes that attack human beings. When the Pentagon taps him to be part of the Rapid Response Team assembled to track and kill the devastating Delta-3 bacteria, he quickly discovers that his expertise is ignored, his presence meaningless. The leader of the task force is an old nemesis who sidelines Gillette.

Gillette returns home to Washington, where he watches in horror as food becomes scarce, neighbor attacks neighbor, and government collapses. With winter approaching, the capital faces anarchy and Gillette faces a choice: to stay with his family or to disobey orders and find the microbes’ antidote through clues that may not even be real.

Scott was accepted for an appointment at NIH (National Institute of Health) for tomorrow Monday, Nov

Scott was accepted for an appointment at NIH (National Institute of Health) for tomorrow Monday, November 23rd. He has been trying to get an appointment with them for about two years now.

What to expect for tomorrow.

They informed Scott when he arrives at 7:30am that he will be doing an hour and a half worth of paperwork. Afterwards he will meet with a doctor who will talk to Scott about his health for about an hour and a half. After that Scott will then meet with a whole council of Dr’s who will read his case and ask him questions. Then Scott will leave and the Dr’s will discuss amongst themselves what they think the proper course of treatment is. Then the orignal Dr will meet with Scott and explain what the counsel of Dr’s have decided.

Please lift Scott up in prayer tomorrow. Pray that the doctors will have clarity to see what has to be seen and the wisdom to say what needs to be said. But regardless we know that the great physician is the one who is ultimately in control of Scotts situation.

As we both are walking along this path of Scotts health issues, we are reminded of Job and how many people think that their trials somehow compare to what Job went through. The Lord in His great mercy has greatly blessed us in comparison to what Job went through. We still have many blessings that Job did not have at his lowest point. The Lord answered Job out of the storm and rebuked him twice and said “Now gird up your loins like a man” (Job 38:3 , 40:6). The Lord our God answered Job who was facing far worse trials then we and in His answer rebuked him. Now how are we to act in walking out our faith in this trial that the Lord has allowed Scott and I to walk through. I believe that He wants us with a sincere heart to look towards Him for our guidance and know the truths of Psalm 148: 18-19 “The Lord is near to those who call upon Him, to those who call upon Him in truth, he fulfills the desire to those who fear Him, He hears their cry and saves them” . We are not discouraged in the slightest bit because we know that the Lord is intimately aware of Scotts condition and is walking along with both of us in this journey.

Amy was the daughter of Miles Leroy Hineman and Elizabeth Ann Rowan.

She was born 30 Jun 1896, in Tomah, Wisconsin. She married Earl Benjamin Scott and moved to Eau Claire Co., Wisconsin. Earl was born 16 May 1891 and lived in Augusta.

-From the Tomah Journal, 02 Oct 1914

A quiet wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Hineman of the town of Tomah on Thursday, Sept. 24th, when their youngest daughter Amy was united in marriage to Mr. Earl Scott of Augusta. The ceremony was performed at noon by Rev. Jonathan G. Smith of the Congregational church. Only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present. A wedding dinner was served and the newly wedded couple took the afternoon train for La Crosse. They intended to go from there to Milwaukee but were called back next day by the death of a nephew of the bride. They left Tuesday for Augusta where they will make their home, Mr. Scott being engaged in the moving picture business there. We join with the bride’s many friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity.

NOTE: The nephew mentioned was Virgil Frederick Hineman, son of Ralph W. Hineman, Amy’s brother. He died from TB, as did the wife (Bessie Martin, died Aug 1914) of Amy’s oldest brother, Gardie.

Robert Scott

AUGUSTA : Robert Scott, 86, of E19110 County Road N, Augusta, passed away at his home Wednesday morning, May 30, 2007.

Robert Miles Scott, son of Earl and Amy (Hineman) Scott, was born January 16, 1921, in Scott?s Valley, rural Augusta. At the age of 2, he moved into the city of Augusta, where he attended grade school and graduated from Augusta High School. He was united in marriage to Loradean “Eny” Harke on February 7, 1940, in Cresco, Iowa. The couple lived all their married life in Augusta. During WW II, Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theatre, stationed mainly in China. Bob had been employed in Eau Claire by Dolly Madison Dairies and Gillette Tire Company before taking a job with Northern States Power Company in 1950. During his 32 years of employment with NSP, he worked as a ground man, lineman and eventually as the district manager in the Augusta office. Since February of 2006, he had enjoyed making his home with his son and daughter-in-law in Ludington Township, rural Augusta.

Bob took pride in his community, and throughout his life volunteered his time for the betterment of Augusta. For many years he had been a member of the Augusta-Bridge Creek Fire Dept., where he had served as secretary-treasurer. In the 1960s, during the construction years of the elementary school, he had served on the Augusta School Board. He also served on the Augusta Nursing Home Building Committee and eventually on the Nursing Home Board. Since 1950, he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, where he served in various capacities. He served on the Augusta Cemetery Board, and was an active member and officer with the Augusta Lions Club, American Legion, and past commander of the Augusta VFW Post. He was a member of the Eau Claire County Conservation League, and during this time was instrumental in establishing the Eau Claire County Public Hunting Grounds and Coon Fork Lake. While working for NSP, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, and in 1970 was awarded the Citizen of the Year for NSP.

Bob enjoyed the time he spent coaching girls softball teams and being involved with his children and grandchildren?s activities. He was an avid deer hunter, and looked forward to the annual family hunts. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, pool and bowling.

I would love to hear from any descendants of Earl Scott and Amy Hineman, and am hoping they might be able to provide more information and/or pictures, especially of the Hineman family. Amy’s brother Gardie, was my great-grandfather, and I don’t have any pictures of him or his first wife, Olive Bessie Martin.

Amy had a sister, Pearl, who lived in Augusta as well. Pearl was married to Ralph W. Bowen, and from what I can tell, they never had any children of their own. However, according to one census record, my grandfather, Nathan Hineman was living with them shortly after his mother died from TB.

Any info would be appreciated!

Quite the methodical win for the Sharks as they defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-2. The Sharks are two-for-two against Anaheim this season, and while this game wasn’t as dominating as the first, the result was the same: a win. Also remember this is the second time San Jose beat Anaheim at Anaheim.

It was KISS night in Anaheim. I can’t think of a stupider promotion. I was forcefed two makeup artists during the Ducks broadcast. I will say the makeup was more fun to look at than listening to the commentators.

There wasn’t anything flashy about this game; it was all hard work and determination. Both teams made mistakes — of course a few Sharks giveaways in their own zone stick out to me. But I’ve come to expect that, unfortunately, from the Sharks.

Douglas Murray was bad tonight. Don’t let the +1 rating fool you. He had so many giveaways and positioning errors — one of them led directly to a goal ten seconds later. He also took a penalty late in the second period, and the Ducks converted 11 seconds later. Dan Boyle was just a step behind tonight and couldn’t cover for Murray’s mistakes.

Frazer McLaren and George Parros get busy. (From SJSHARKS.com)

Things were frisky early with a quick fight out of the gates: Frazer McLaren vs. George Parros. Frazer won the first half of the fight, and Parros won the second half. Draw. Good to see Frazer making an impact with such a minute amount of ice time.

It looked to be another boring, close game after a scoreless first period. But the red lights were tiring out from four goals in the second. Ryane Clowe got on the board with a shot from the point. It’s his second straight goal from the point. Not the place you usually see him scoring from, but hey, whatever works.

Dany Heatley scored to keep his title of goal-scoring leader (18). It came off a Joe Thornton shot and rebound. I don’t think Anaheim was expecting Joe to shoot after his passes last game. That’s probably why the play worked.

But Anaheim hung in there, leaving the second period tied at 2-2.

The third period resembled the first, and I started getting deja vu; the game looked a lot like the playoff series between these two from last year. The difference? The Sharks were the ones who willed a goal out of themselves. Heater played passer and found Thornton coming up the side. Jumbo pocketed the puck perfectly to the far side to put the Sharks up for good.

People questioned coach Todd McClellan’s move to keep Evgeni Nabokov in goal for back-to-back games. He didn’t look as sharp as he usually does, but he was competent enough to earn the W. He’ll get a long rest because the Sharks won’t play again until Wednesday.

Other Notes

Hit-O-Meter: SJ 20 ANA 19; Scott Nichol (4) and Joe Thornton (3) led the team.

Every Sharks player who was on the ice for an Anaheim goal redeemed themselves; No Shark had a negative +/-.

The Sharks battle the Blackhawks, Wednesday at HP Pavilion.

Sinopsis:
