Hoje eu estou passando por aqui para deixar disponível para download um trabalho de faculdade que eu fiz. Neste trabalho eu precisei construir quatro casos de uso utilizando uma linguagem orientada a objetos. Decidi por utilizar PHP5 juntamente do framework CakePHP . É um trabalho simples com poucos comentários então, para quem quiser dar uma olhada, seria bom conhecer pelo menos o básico da biblioteca, ok?

Ps.: Existem algumas clases que estão no “plural” inglês. Isso aconteceu pois eu nã tive tempo de modficar os inlections(Daí vc já viu “neh”?).

Here’s a screencast for pc-rs.com’s KunKun4 Editor. I found a few things that don’t seem to be working yet (e.g. emailing kunkunshi, playback, formatting) but overall, this is an awesome tool available on the Web. Enjoy!

280 Slides is a free presentation web app that’s a bit like having a a version of PowerPoint right inside your browser. It makes it super-easy to create and share presentations online. You can also import and export PowerPoint (s msft) files from within the app. It’s powerful and simple to use, and as it’s based on the Cappuccino web framework, it doesn’t require any browser plug-ins to work.

I am very impressed with it, and have made a quick screencast showing how it works:

Twitter was clever and made it trivial for anyone’s web page to grab data from any Twitter profile and use it in a form. This link shows what they make available (returns an XML document) http://twitter.com/users/show.xml?screen_name=gl33p

So – we use Twitter’s open approach to profile data to make listing yourself on imby quick. This video shows how it works, and what the tweets we send out look like.

You don’t have to be the organizer of an event to add it, but link to the authoritative site about the event if it is not something you are hosting. Events that require membership in an organization, have a fee, or require registration are just fine – we just ask that you check the Registration Required box when you add the event and provide a link to get properly signed up.

Tip: When creating event someone told you about, or that you find on another listing – credit the listing or source in the description and link to the main web page for the event as the Website.

With the new beta of Firefox 3.6, new tab previewing functionality has been made available in Firefox — you can preview tabs using the “List all tabs” button, and you can see a preview when using Ctrl-Tab to switch between tabs.

These two new features are not enabled by default, so you’ll need to go to the about:config page and toggle “browser.allTabs.previews” and “browser.ctrlTab.previews” to “true” (either right-click on the entry and hit “Toggle”, or just double-click the entry).

Following up my earlier post about recording a VNC session to a screencast, I’m pleased to have a first attempt to show you:

This is a basic ‘tour’ of my 701’s desktop, which is now running the Fluxbox window manager. The movie is mostly a test to see if the ’setup’ would work—in future, I’ll ’script’ the thing before I make it!—but I reckon I can use this method for other ‘proper’ screencasts.

To capture the Eee desktop, I ran the “krfb” desktop-sharing app on the 701, which uses the VNC protocol to allow remote access to the Eee’s display. The actual capturing was done using ScreenToaster, a fine example of how advanced Web-based applications have become at the end of the 2000s.

ScreenToaster allows you to record a commentary using any microphone on your computer, and apparently it can even use your webcam if you have one, though I have yet to test that. As long as you have a computer with Java and a reasonable amount of CPU power, I think ScreenToaster does the job as well as (and possibly better than) your typical lower-range shareware screen-capture program, and is worth a look if you need to capture a screencast.

Ironically, one advertised ScreenToaster feature which I was hoping to use—the ability to record the output of a VNC session—didn’t work for me at all (it tried to overlay the 800×480 VNC display over our iMac’s 1600×1250 (?) screen, and capture that). Therefore, to make this screencast, I had to bring up the Eee’s VNC display on the Mac, and tell ScreenToaster to capture the part of the Mac’s desktop which was showing the VNC display. A bit of a “hack” (and this may have been why there are two mouse pointers sometimes!), but at least it worked!

Finally, I exported the movie from ScreenToaster as a QuickTime (MOV) file, and did some editing in iMovie 08, as well as adding captions, the “Digital Ramyun” opening and closing titles, credits, etc.

So, perhaps this isn’t the most thrilling viewing (OK, it isn’t ), but as a “proof of concept” I think it does the job…

¿Aplicaciones de un screencast?

Muchas los Screencasts son útiles para (algunas ideas):

• Demostrar características de un determinado software
• Crear videotutoriales de lo que sea.
• Correcciones de proyectos, trabajos o simplemente
• Mostrar lo cool que puede ser el “entorno de escritorio” de mi PC.
• Ayudar a los desarrolladores a mostrar su trabajo a terceras personas, para mostrar como se realiza una tarea en un entorno de software específico.

Pero principalmente:

Sustituir las explicaciones escritas potencialmente ambiguas

Screenr es un servicio que funciona junto con Twitter el cual permite realizar “screencasts”, o transmisiones de tu pantalla en formato de video que puedes publicar fácilmente en tu cuenta de twitter. El servicio es completamente gratuito y multiplataforma, ya que corre en sistemas operativos Mac  y Windows, además de  iPhones.

Adicionalmente permite grabar voz y lo mejor de todo es que no requiere instalación adicional de software para que funcione ya que  todo es vía navegador web. Eventualmente lo unico que requiere es tener habilitada  la maquina virtual de java, que seguramente esta corriendo en tu pc.

Toobla is a new social bookmarking service that lets you collect groups of sites together into neat visual folders that you can then easily share with others via a shortened URL or embeddable widget. While it seems to be largely aimed at the consumer market, for web workers, I think it could be useful for sharing collections of inspirational sites during a design project, for example, or resources during a research project. I recorded a screencast showing how it works:
