One of Korea’s big entertainment agency, YG Entertainment, well-known through popular idol artists such as Big Bang, Seven, and 2NE1, falls into another crisis.
Currently, 3 people are being kept in the police station for stealing the payments of the stars under YG Entertainment, including, Big Bang and 2NE1. The amount totals up to about 2,500,000 dollars.

These people who had been working in YG Entertainment as managers and secretary starting taking the money since 2004 and including last year, they were able to continually take money from the big business for 4 years eventually totaling up to 2,500,000 dollars. Other than that, they are also known to have used the money for personal investing fees in stocks and also for their daily lifestyle.

Seoul Center Court reported that these ex-managers took the performers’ payments and put the money in bank accounts with fake identities. They used the money for their daily needs and for entertainment expenses such as clubbing and drinking.

In addition, the three club owners who are acquaintances with Yang HyunSeok were currently also were indicted on charges of tax violations. Since 2005, Mr. Lim, Mr. Ji, and Mr. Kim were violating the laws by having the admission to the club receive a cash point using a deliberate omission in cash sales according to the police.

This was after months of secret investigation by the IRS on YG.

Kesuksesan ini pun disusul single keduanya “GARA GARA GO!” yang dirilis pada tanggal 19 Agustus kemaren dan langsung melesat menuju urutan ke-3 daftar Oricon Daily Chart.
Sementara itu single terbarunya yang dirilis tanggal 4 November kemaren “Koe Wo Kikasete/Let Me Hear Your Voice” pun juga mengundang perhatian pada VIP sekalian dan langsung nangkring di urutan ke-3 Oricon juga… bedeeeuuhh…

FYI, Big Bang adalah artis Korea Selatan ketiga yang menerima penghargaan Gold Artist Award ini, setelah BoA~yang menang di tahun 2007, dan TVXQ~di tahun 2008 kemaren.

The nine members of SNSD have only been official celebrities since August 2007 and didn’t even have an official fanclub until the ending half of 2008. But that didn’t stop their wonderful fans from sticking together and showing their love in numbers.

We all know that fellow Entertainment band, DBSK, made it to the Guiness World Book of Records because they have the biggest fanbase with nearly 800, 000 and growing. Don’t think that’s much? Yup, setelah MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) selesai digelar kmrn, ternyata setelahnya msh ada kontroversi yg muncul berkaitan dgn para penampil di acara tsb.  Berikut ceritanya… {Warning: Agak panjang dan serius… :p)

Pertama2 mari kita mulai dr penampilan JaeCHunSu di ajang MAMA ini. SME bilang JaeChunSu ga pny hak terima penghargaan atas nama TVXQ. Yup itu kata mereka. I expect all of u already know by now kalo tiga anggota TVXQ yaitu JaeJoong, YooChun dan JunSu mengadukan kontrak ‘perbudakan’ dan pembagian hasil yg ga adil mereka thd agensi mereka SME ke pengadilan sejak bulan Agustus taon ini. Well setelah bbrp pengadilan berjalan akhirnya JaeChunSu diberi kebebasan beraktivitas solo terlepas dr SME. Dan ternyata kebebasan tsb digunakan antara lain dgn menghadiri acara penghargaan musik MAMA tgl 21 Nov kmrn.

Menurut SME, JaeChunSu ga pny hak menerima penghargaan di acara tsb atas nama TVXQ tanpa kedua member lainnya. Dan mereka ga terima pihak MNet ga mendiskusikan hal ini terlebih dahulu dan hanya mengundang ketiga member tsb saja.

“The three members of TVXQ had no right to receive the award on behalf of TVXQ. If Mnet was planning on giving an award to TVXQ, they should have contacted SM Entertainment for a replacement receiver but instead they invited only the three members and gave them the award. This is unacceptable.”

Tp kmd dr pihak Mnet selaku pihak penyelenggara memberikan statement sanggahan kalo sbnrnya mereka dah mencoba mengundang kelima anggota TVXQ, tp mereka hanya menerima balasan dr ketiga member tsb aja. Dan menurut mereka hal ini ga masalah krn ketiga member tsb mewakili dua member lainnya di pidato serah terima penghargaan tsb.

“We invited all five members of TVXQ to receive the award. However, two members did not respond, and the three other members came to receive the award. There were no problems with the receiving of the award as the three members even talked of the two members who could not attend in their acceptance speech.”

Wew~ Perdebatan yg panas sodara sodari!! Menurut pendapat gw, mang sebaiknya ketiga member tsb ga muncul di award show tsb. Krn kehadiran mereka disana bs disalahartikan oleh pihak SME sbg tanda mereka mang bener2 ga mao balik lg ke SME dan mereka mo pisah dgn kedua member lainnya, which is that’s exactly what happened now. Jd bs dibilang mereke mengkonfirmasi bubarnya TVXQ. And this is not good 4 the fans like us. Pdhl mungkin kan mksd mereka b3 hadir disana itu ga seperti itu. Mereka hanya berbaik hati memenuhi undangan yg telah sampai ke tangan mereka.

Well, ternyata hal kecil ini bs berbuntut panjang. Menurut rumor yg beredar, ternyata Mnet dan SME itu pny hub yg krg baik. Dulunya sih baik, tp sejak  taon 2008 hub mereka mulai merenggang. Ini dikarenakan SME menolak tawaran Mnet buat mendistribusikan musik yg dihasilkan oleh artis2 SME.

Perlu diketahui Mnet itu berpengaruh besar di dunia entertainment Korea. Pemiliknya itu a/ salah satu dr 5 konglomerat Korea. Cakupan mereka di dunia entertainment termasuk produksi, distribusi, penjualan, manajemen artis, siaran televisi, online media, dan msh bny lainnya. Mnet jg ternyata pny hak distribusi album2/single2 yg dihasilkan oleh artis2 dr JYP Ent, DSP Ent, dan YG Ent krn mereka pny saham di perusahaan2 tsb. (Hal ini bs gw konfirmasi sendiri krn kebetulan baru2 ini gw beli album ori-nya Se7en, dan gw liat emang pihak distributornya itu Mnet). Nah jika Mnet pny hak distribusi atas album2 artis SME jg, maka bs dibilang Mnet jd pemimpin di bidang distribusi musik Korea dan mereka pny kontrol penuh di dunia Kpop.

Ini keliatannya sederhana, tp ternyata SME menolak tawaran tsb. Mereka pikir, buat apa bagi keuntungan penjualan ke Mnet kalo mereka sendiri mampu mendistribusikan barang dagangan mereka sendiri. Nah krn penolakan tsb lah Mnet skrg jd dendam ma SME. Terbukti dr lagu ‘Gee‘ nya SNSD yg ga pernah menang satu kalipun di chart Mnet, pdhl lagu tsb nongkrong di berbagai chart lainnya di posisi pertama selama bbrp waktu. Lagu ini bahkan ga masuk nominasi di MAMA! SME jelas ga terima dan memutuskan melarang semua artisnya u/ dtg ke acara tsb alias memboikot. Tp apa yg terjadi sodara sodari?! JaeChunSu memutuskan hadir disana dan menerima penghargaan!! Ya udah, makin parahlah hub mereka…

Bny yg mempertanyakan kok berani2nya ketiga member tsb hadir disana pdhl kasus mereka blom sepenuhnya tuntas. Bbrp diantara mereka bahkan mencurigai kalo dibalik keberanian mereka menentang SME ini dikarenakan mereka pny backup yg cukup kuat buat ngelawan SME. Dlm hal ini dugaan tsb jatuh ke Mnet. Sapa lg coba yg berani ngelawan SME, salah satu agensi artis plg besar di Korea selain Mnet, perusahaan terbesar di Korea. Persaingan sih boleh2 aja, asal bersaing secara sehat. Tp kalo maen backstabing gini kan yg jd korban para artis2nya jg. Iya ga?! Jd gw sangat bersimpati sekali thd artis2 SME spt SNSD, SUJU, SHINee dan lainnya…

*sigh* Pusing ngurusin soal SMxTVXQ ini… Istirahat dulu ah~ *ambil cemilan, nonton tipi, ngerjain pe er, ketiduran, bangun pagi, mandi, sarapan, pergi kerja, pulang kerja, mandi lagi, baru nongkrong di depan kompi* Hahaha… Ternyata butuh seharian buat dilanjutin… :p

Selain dpt serangan dr SME atas kehadiran JaeChunSu di MAMA, Mnet jg mndpt serangan dr publik. Mereka mempertanyakan kredibilitas dr hasil pemenang award di MAMA khususnya di penghargaan Daesang nya. Spt yg telah diketahui, yg menang itu a/ G-Dragon (album of the year), 2NE1 (song of the year) ama 2PM (artist of the year). Mari kita bahas 1 per 1.

Pertama soal GD. Ktnya kemenangan GD dgn album Heartbreaker dianggap memalukan bangsa. Why u ask?? Soalnya album tsb telah menuai bny kontroversi dgn isu plagiarismenya. Album tsb bahkan dianggap tidak pantas u/ pendengar dibawah umur oleh pemerintah. So memberi penghargaan ‘Album of the year’ thd Heartbreaker tsb dianggap pelecehan thd musik Korea. Walopun mang bener album tsb terjual bny sejak perilisannya, tp dgn bnyknya kontroversi negatif mengenai album ini seharusnya dipertimbangkan dgn masak2 oleh pihak Mnet. Kedua soal 2NE1. Mengenai hal ini gw rada shock jg. Spt yg kalian tau, 2NE1 itu baru debut taon ini, tp mereka dah dpt penghargaan DaeSang di sebuah acara musik bergengsi, apa ga salah?!  Don’t get me wrong, gw seneng mereka menang, tp hal ini spt… dipaksakan. FYI, dulu waktu Wonder Girls debut dgn lagu ‘Tell Me‘ yg booming bgt aja cuma dpt penghargaan Best new artist. Dan selama sejarah penghargaan musik Korea, cuma 2NE1 dan Seo Taiji yg pernah menerima penghargaan utama di taon mereka debut. Sedangkan bs dibilang Seo Taiji itu asal mula Kpop, so panteslah dia menang. So agak aneh kalo grup newbie bs terima penghargaan plg bergengsi. Bny yg berspekulasi kalo kemenangan mereka terjadi krn SNSD dgn lagu mereka ‘Gee’ ga tampil di MAMA.  Perhatiin deh td GD menang krn Suju ga hadir, skrg 2NE1 menang krn SNSD ga hadir. So bs dibilang pemboikotan SME thd MAMA berperan penting disini. Dan pemboikotan itu terjadi gara2 konflik yg terjadi antara SME dan Mnet. Tuh kan! Apa gw bilang?! Yg jd korbannya kan para artis2nya… Poor them…

Ketiga soal 2PM. Bny yg berspekulasi kalo 2PM menang penghargaan ‘Artis of the year’ gara2 JaeBum. Kalo diliat kebelakang, 2PM ga gt berperan di ajang per-Kpop-an taon ini. Tp semenjak berita ttg JaeBum keluar, popularitas grup ini langsung mencuat! Dan ini bs dibuktikan sendiri dr blog ini. Bny yg berkomentar di post gw soal JaeBum kena masalah bilang kalo mereka ga tau sapa itu JaeBum, sapa itu 2PM, dan bahkan blom pernah denger lagu2 mereka sblmnya. (Hayo ngaku yg komen begitu!! XD). Jd bs dibilang menangnya 2PM sbg ‘Artist of the year’ cuma krn rasa simpati thd grup ini.

Well, mungkin itu semua hanya kerjaan org2 yg sirik dgn keberhasilan GD, 2NE1 and 2PM. Mo apapun mereka protes, semuanya dah terjadi dan ga bs diulang kembali. So let’s just move on, shall we?? ^^

Selain hal2 diatas, ada jg reaksi negatif mengenai performance2 para artis yg tampil di MAMA kmrn. Salah satunya soal joint stage nya Ivy dan Nich Khun dr 2PM. Bg yg blom pernah liat, nih gw kasih videonya skrg…

Fans Nich Khun seantero Asia yg menyaksikan perfomance tsb ga rela idolanya digoda2 imannya oleh sang sexy diva. Konsep performance nya Ivy waktu itu a/ vampir. Doi bahkan pake kostum yg lmyn sexi sbg seorg vampir. Gw liatnya tuh buah dada dah kek pengen keluar aja dr kostumnya yg sempit itu. Haizz!! Nah kostum itulah yg bikin fans nya NichKhun ga rela. Para netizen memutuskan membombardir minihompinya Ivy dgn komentar2 pedes. Komentar2 tsb antara lain: ”Why would you mess with Nichkhun?”, “Where did you come from?” “Do you want your minihompy to be terrorized?“, “You shouldn’t have done that,” dan msh bny lainnya. Walopun begitu, ada jg yg bernada positif seperti “If there is too much hating, how can our country develop in terms of concert culture?”, “You guys want another suicidal celebrity?”, “Instead of blaming Ivy, I think Mnet has more problems“.

Well, ga bs disalahin jg sih ya… Of all 2PM member, napa jg dia pilih NichKhun yg jelas2 pny fans terbanyak di grup tsb. Julukannya aja ‘Prince of Thai‘! Hahaha… Tp aneh jg, taon kmrn ada adegan kissing nya TOP dgn Lee HyoRi yg jd sensasi jg lho! Tp kok reaksinya ga senegatif Ivy-Khun ini ya?? Pdhl mereka bahkan ga ampe ciuman! Hmm… Maybe krn pertunjukkan Ivy-Khun ga se-classy pertunjukkan TOP-Hyori… Malah kalo gw boleh bilang, aksi panggungnya Ivy dah kyk adegan2 di film porno… XDD

Dan spertinya Ivy dah ga tahan dicemooh oleh para hottest, tgl 24 Nov kmrn akhirnya dia menutup minihompinya. Ktnya “Thank you Hottests! I will shut down my minihompy for a while.” Yah, sbnrnya bkn salah Ivy sendiri sih… Lagian itu kan cuma performance di panggung aja, para netizensnya aja kelewat cemburu! Hahaha… Moga2 masalah ini cepet dilupakan org biar Ivy ga stress. Ntar kalo stress malah bundir lagi! Kan gaswat kalo begitu… XDD

Ada lg yg dikomplen mslh kostumnya. Kali ini a/ G-Dragon! Napa lagi neh?! Well, kalo gw dan kebanyakan org normal lainnya cuma memperhatikan betapa tingginya rambut Mohawk GD dibanding TaeYang, para netizen yg ga ada kerjaan dan selalu teliti sampe ke detail2nya menemukan ada yg aneh dgn GD di performancenya hari itu. Tp gw ga setuju kostumnya 2NE1 dibilang paling buruk! Menurut gw gaunnya Baek Ji Young itu lbh parah dibanding mereka. I don’t like it at all! Lagian yg ga sreg cuma gaunnya CL doang, yg lain ok tuh menurut gw! Apalagi gaunnya Dara…  I love the dress and the shoes!! Tp heran jg dia pake baju seminim itu. Apa ga kedinginan ya??
