I heard the new 30 seconds to mars song “kings and queens” for the first time today!!  It is off of their upcomming album titled “This is war”.  It was amazing!!! I can’t wait to hear the rest of this album.  I am big fan of 30 seconds to mars and have liked everything they’ve released thus far. But This song outdid all of their other music.  Its been a little while now since theses guys have put anything out, but it seems well worth the wait.  It sounds like the guys have a reached a new level in their music, and that is always exciting.  For both band and listener!  Kudos fella’s.  Cant wait to hear the rest of it

I hate time. Time seems to be cheating me. I still hate it.

I’m a busy person, or the opposite, depending on everything around me. But I like  getting things done quickly and efficiently while still enjoying myself. But I can’t!!! There’s no way to get past those things that last forever or actually living what’s going on. We, as humans, are always trying to get to what we want most and it takes forever! There’s no end to our wait! It goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on…. And when we finally get to that point, it flashes by before we can even grasp the moment. Our lives are wasted on moving forward and letting go, not embracing the moment or reflecting on everything.

Personally, the time I spend working is way too long and the time I actually enjoy is only a couple of minutes. All of my time is given away to people who take life for granted, that waste it with the dillydadling distractions, too self absorbed to be considerate that not everyone in the room is going that slow or entertained. And the last of that time is much too short. Okay, so seven hours for me…. That includes six hours sleep which doesn’t at all help calm me becuase I only wake to the stress of the flow of life.

So you whom disagree, stop and think: are you using your time wisely? Are you pleased with what you have gotten? Are you wasting someone else’s time? Think. And don’t whisk it off. Think hard. (I apologize for seeming a bit depressing.)

April 3. Nearly 7 months and I finally think I’m ready to let go of the counting. Maybe acknowledge the year anniversary of our split when it comes (August 28). When we were together, I felt the clock winding down. Apart, I’ve counted up, endlessly up, there’s-no-ceiling up. I look down and happen to notice the date and I think, is this day significant in any way? The answer is the same. I made notations of when I saw him in last year’s calendar, and I had lunch with him on this day, April 2008. It was our 11th date. We only had 42 dates left.

How Long It Takes to Read the Paper Just Handed to You

I feel that photography is becoming like T.V. Many people just want a graphic, easy image. My teacher said that a photo must communicate in less than 5 seconds, the amount of time people look at photos. However, this practice often leaves the “quiet pictures”(according to William Albert Allard) and “the second lookers” (according to Dorothea Lange) out in the cold. To me, “quiet pictures” are like crossword puzzles. But some people do not like crossword puzzles because then it forces them to think.

Today I went to the cinema and saw the documentary film MJ-TII. I had been wanting to see it for a while after reading in reviews how good it was. I have to say though that while I enjoyed it, it was not really what I thought it was going to be. For those who maybe haven’t heard of it before, the film pulls together all the rehearsal footage captured from Michael Jackson’s final 50 date concert tour, ‘This Is It’. Even for a music documentary I had been expecting more interviews, and there were none. Especially as it says that’s what’s coming up in the opening blurb. The film really just gives a taste of what fans could have expected from the concert had Jackson lived to perform it. While undoubtedly a talented singer and dancer I was hoping to see many more interviews, perhaps some retrospective ones too, but the only time there was someone talking it lasted for seconds. Because of this, for me, the film got a little tedious in the middle as footage goes from song, to song, to song. The most interesting, I thought, was the segment for ‘Thriller‘. I would say overall that it is worth a look, but probably one look only unless you’re a die hard MJ fan. Not one for the DVD collection, it’s enjoyable but not spectacular. I never thought I’d see the day when a manufacturer would make bull riding / bull fighting trading cards.  Well, here they come  In January Press Pass plans to release a product called 8 Seconds, which will feature a 100-card base set of some of the best bull riders / bull fighters in the world.  Each hobby box will contain 24 packs and six hits – 3 autos & 3 relics.  If you’ve ever seen what bull riders / bull fighters wear, I think we’re all in for some colorful relics.  I’m really interested to see how collectors will react to a product like this.  Yee-Haw!!!!!!!!!!!

A selection of pictures that were never used, left to rot on a hard drive and passed over for an alternative viewpoint, maybe they were too arty or  unusual but for one reason  or another they were passed over and another was used in its place.

So here they are, finally allowed their time to shine, some are personal favourites, each one was taken for a publication and was judged to be less worthy than another of my images.

Sea King

In my opinion the best shot of a Sea King helicopter taken at RAF Shawbury

Another image was chosen instead, presumably due to its more recognisable viewpoint and amount of helicopters present in the frame.

Barn Dance

My own favourite preview shot of a barn dance event due to be held at Fordhall Farm.

A similar upright version was chosen over this one because an upright is easier to fit on a page. Despite this the shot that was used lacked some connection when compared to this one.

Art with Alpacas

A picture of a lady who is using her Alpaca fleeces to create felt works of art.

Another shot of the lady feeding an Apple to an Alpaca was used, I assume this is because they wanted an Alpaca in the photo and only wanted one (despite being asked to get lots of different shots).

Miners lunch

One of many shots taken at the International Cheese Awards in Nantwich, and my favourite from the event. This was passed over because Colliers was not a Shropshire company.

Summer Sun

A shot taken to highlight the sunny weather in June of this year.
It was once again passed over for an upright shot one which was nowhere near as good as this one.

Woof?

A shot taken of a rescued dog who was terrified of human contact due to previous abuse, out of all the photos I have taken this one seems to have the greatest emotional impact on people.

I can only assume that an alternative was used because there was a person in that shot despite it being a bit rubbish.

Confinement

This was taken of a guy who was recovering in an oxygen tank after sustaining an injury.

This was passed over for the simple reason that it was just too darn creepy for the paper, I suppose they have a point but I still love it!

These images are really just the tip of the iceberg, ones which I have liked enough to upload to my Flickr profile. There are always unseen pictures, as for every job I take two or three different images and sometimes several more.

So remember when I said that pretty much every tuner has been trying to get their hands on a Nissan GT-R to help it reach its full potential? Well even after all this time nothing has changed. Switzer has now acquired a GTR and have decided to show us what they have created and it does not disappoint! 

Switzer has made a mean masterpiece out of the already aggressive Japanese supercar. This renowned tuner has taken the 3.8L 485hp engine and transformed it into a raging beast able to harvest 700hp. Okay, readjust your dropped jaw, I’m not done yet. Switzer has also enabled the GT-R to sprint to the 100km/h mark in an impressive 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 300km/h! 

Can I take it for a spin please? Come on around the block!

Since vampires are no longer in God’s realm I twisted the meaning of this song to how Lestat wouldn’t believe Akasha’s true nature even though Marius told him and later would stop caring about even himself. The chorus’s from him to Marius.

Excuse me the credit mistake in the end credits. My previous fan video was to Skillet’s song and they too have a song named Savior and I wasn’t thinking.

This is in the pure father-and-son vision, which is the only true; the original vision of the pair.

One of the album covers that will be used in some countries and after the Faces Of Mars campaign has also been revealed earlier this week.

EA Games has announced that the game Rock Band will be coming to the iPhone at the ending of this month.
Music from 30 Seconds To Mars, AFI, All-American Rejects, Beastie Boys, Blink-182, Blondie, Foo Fighters, Pixies, Rise Against, Silversun Pickups, The Presidents of the United States of America, and others will be featured in this version of Rock Band.
In addition to built in tracks, songs from the likes of OK Go, Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz, Social Distortion, and various other artists will be available for purchase.

Rockers 30 SECONDS TO MARS are facing a $30 million (GBP15 million) lawsuit from their bosses at Virgin Records after allegedly failing to produce an agreed number of albums.
In papers filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday (15Aug08), Virgin Records heads allege that Shannon and Jared Leto violated the terms of their recording contract by refusing to deliver three more albums as per their agreement.
They allege 30 Seconds To Mars were due to release six albums on Virgin – but quit on 4 July (08) after only completing half the required number of records.
The band’s last album, A Beautiful Lie, was released in 2005.
But a representative for Leto insists the band stopped recording because they still haven’t been paid for their efforts to date – despite selling more than 2 million records for Virgin, to which they’ve been signed for nine years.

30 SECONDS TO MARS TO GIVE AWAY NEW ALBUM?

Rockers 30 SECONDS TO MARS are considering giving away their new album for free – because they didn’t make any money from their previous recordings.
The band was formed in 1998 by actor Jared Leto and his brother, Shannon, and they went on to release two records – their self-titled debut in 2002 and 2005’s A Beautiful Lie.
They are currently working on their third LP, This Is War, which is scheduled for release later this year (09).
But Leto admits that they are toying with the idea of giving the album away to fans as an internet download, because they have never made much money from their music.
He says, “Anything can happen, you never know what the future will hold. Maybe we will just throw our new album on the internet and see if anybody wants to take it. We have never made a penny from selling a record anyway so why would it matter to us?”
30 Seconds To Mars were last year (08) handed a $30 million (£15 million) lawsuit from their bosses at Virgin Records, who have accused the rockers of quitting the label without delivering the agreed number of albums.
