This paper describes the clinical and risk characteristics of patients admitted over the first four years of operation of the Dangerous and Severe Personality Disordered (DSPD) NHS pilot at the Peaks Unit, Rampton Secure Hospital. There were 124 referrals, mainly from Category A and B prisons, resulting in 68 DSPD admissions. Clinically, 29% scored 30 or more on the Psychopathy Checklist. The most common personality disorders were antisocial, borderline, paranoid and narcissistic. There is a high risk of violent/sexual recidivism as measured by the Static-99, Violence Risk Scale, and the Historical, Clinical and Risk Management Scale.

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Would you get a commitment from him? Are you tired of waiting for your relationship to the next level? What does it take for a guy to be faithful to you and you alone? Commitment is often something that women want and are simply not safe to get it. They believe that obtaining one from a man is almost impossible to do. However, the truth is that you only need to show the man who has a commitment to you is better than to commit to you. Do this and youcircumvent resistance and secure a commitment from him.

You must first talk to him. You can not expect him to know how you feel, think, or need if you do not tell them. However, you need to make sure you do it in a way that is done, but not emotional. You should also make sure not to pressure him or give him a ultimatime. Instead, sit down to tell him how you feel and what you want. Do not cry, cry, get angry or upset. Then get up and go forward with yourlife.

Give him space. You must ensure you give him the space he needs to make the decision at hand. Remember that this is not an easy decision and it is one that is important. It is more difficult for him to do it is to you.

Be fun to be with. You need to show why he wants to be with you. Work on being a positive person who has a good time. You must also do things and go places that are fun so there is that element of excitement to your relationship.

Youalso need to have a life. Stay busy and active. Do not always be there waiting for him. Not only is it healthy, it also helps ensure that there is a reason he would commit to you. If you do not offer him a motive to commit, and if he gets everything he wants from you, without commitment there is no reason for him to make a commitment to you.

With these four things you can circumvent this resistance and achieve commitment. It will take time and youshould be patient, but if you can wait for him, he will finally there for you. This is the best way to cultivate a lasting relationship that is worth more.

What you may never find in your mainstream news sources THE CON IS ON – PART – 1

Hundreds of police officers armed to the teeth are seen guarding a prison in Mumbai; it is the famous Arthur Road Prison. Since the November 2008, it is the most heavily guarded prison in India. Most of the security is to safeguard one single prisoner. More than 30 million dollars have been spent to secure his safety. Ironically, he is the most secure person in India today.

This person happens to be Ajmal Kasab the sole surviving Pakistani terrorist who indulged in mass killings on 26/11/2008 in Mumbai, India. The people of India would love to see him hanged at the earliest. However, the ruling political class could have other designs.

On the night of 26 November, the whole world saw Ajmal Kasab live on their television sets spraying bullets on the innocent citizens. More than a billion people were witnesses to the mass massacre of innocent citizens of different countries. Yet there is a court case going on to decide if he is guilty. Strange isn’t it?

Another terrorist Afzal Guru has been awarded the death sentence by the highest Indian courts yet the Congress govt is reluctant to execute it. The Congress govt very cleverly invents ten different excuses for the delay. The sentiments of the people of this country are the least of its concerns. The crying emotions of humanity do not move them a bit.

Dossier after dossier, I do not remember how many, may be 7, 8 or even 9 which have been sent to Pakistan have not generated the results which the Congress – NCP party wanted us to believe they would. Right from day one, it was a foregone conclusion that the Islamic republic of Pakistan would never take action on terrorism. They are not fools to cut off and dismantle their only industry, which brings in the moolah.

The citizens of India may be fools but the Pakistanis are not. Terrorism is a large-scale enterprise for them and they hold the sole copy rights for it, of course they have franchisees and outlets numbering in millions spread all over the world.

Just like the Pakistanis, it could be possible that the Con – gress and NCP party politicians are also masters at lies, deceit, deception and betrayal. I will not at all be surprised, if either Afzal Guru or Ajmal Kasab contract some disease like malaria, jaundice, swinflu or even some kidney problem in their highly secured prison cells. Don’t you think it would be convenient for some ‘Sickularist’ politicians if these two terrorists whither away and die? Remember Harshad Mehta?

Or

Suddenly one fine day we may hear Ajmal Kasab has committed suicide. Now please don’t ask me stupid questions as to why will such a deed be allowed to? Every one knows why

An organization will not begin the transformation until it is aware that the quality of the product

An organization will not begin the transformation until it is aware that the quality of the product or service must be improved. Awareness comes about when an organization loses market share or realizes that quality and productivity go hand in hand. It also occurs if TQM is mandated by the customer or if management realizes that TQM is a better way to run business and compete in domestic and world markets.

Automation or other productivity enhancements might not help a corporation if it is unable to market its product or service because the quality is poor. The Japanese learned this fact from practical experience. They could sell their products only at ridiculously low prices, and even then it was difficult to secure repeat sales. Until recently, corporations have not recognized the importance of quality. However, a new attitude has emerged—quality first among the equals of cost and service—the customer wants value.

Quality and productivity are not mutually exclusive. Improvements in quality can lead directly to increased productivity and other benefits. The improved quality results in improvement in productivity, capacity, and profit. Many quality improvement projects are achieved with the same workforce, same overhead, and no investment in new equipment.

More and more corporations are recognizing the importance and necessity of quality improvement if they are to survive domestic and world-wide competition. Quality improvement is not limited to the conformance of the product or service to specifications; it also involves the inherent quality in the design of the system. The prevention of the product, service, and process problems is a more desirable objective than taking corrective action after the product is manufactured or a service rendered.

TQM does not occur overnight; there are no quick remedies. It takes a long time to build the appropriate emphasis and techniques into the culture. Over-emphasis on short term results and profits must be set aside so long-term planning and constancy of purpose will prevail.

All delighted after I saw the refreshing new Windows7 on my friend’s system, I understood why

All delighted after I saw the refreshing new Windows7 on my friend’s system, I understood why even Mac and Unix lovers did not detest it, as opposed to the pompous Vista that made no sense. Very soon I would have Windows7 on my system (upgrading from WinXP). I was not sure whats the hardware I required to have and if I would like Win7, however there is lot left to discover yet and thankfully I have my WinXP CD to reinstall if I dont like Win7.

To save myself from the regret for lack of support and software, I was looking around to see if I am going to be safe on Win7. And the first, as most Windows users would, was my search for Antivirus. The Good News is even AVG and Avast free Antivirus programs had started supporting Win7. However, the best ranked Antivirus was Microsoft’s Security Essentials. WOW! Microsoft seemed to have learnt its lesson and acted real fast and well. I will settle down with Avast and Threatfire (if they have the Win7 version) to stop “zero-day” threats. I found the lists on the best FREE Antivirus for Win7 at howtogeek, Taragana’s Blog and downloadsquad.

Even more interesting was Windows giving out the Tips and Tricks for Win7 on their website as download. And while searching for more articles for my appetite, I found we had ways to remove the unwanted softwares Windows installed by default (I mean the Trial versions and the less used shortcuts and softwares) and choose “FREE for Life” alternatives at DownloadSquad with PC Decrapifier and Ninite. I prefer to install the free bunch of: Google Chrome for a browser, 7Zip for a file compressor, Paint.Net for image editing, Revo for an uninstaller and CCleaner to keep my system clean of cache and registry leftovers.

You even have a Guide to Power Management and help on how to resize partitions. And with a few themes thrown in and the option for a Secure Login, I seem like I am good to go.

Will meet you soon on the other side of Windows7, with more on if Microsoft really kept to their promise of “Your PC, simplified”.

If you say, “I want to be successful in business” then it means that there is a lack of success in y

If you say, “I want to be successful in business” then it means that there is a lack of success in your business and this area is not receiving required energy either from body or mind. To make your business a successful one, give it Reiki – the universal energy, on a regular basis.

Giving Reiki to Your Goals and Objectives

How does Reiki work here?

I am not successful in one area of life because there is internal resistance – otherwise known as psychological reversal or internal self sabotage mechanism. Reiki heals this internal resistance.

Some of our intentions are always fulfilled – say for example eating Dosas or going to Mumbai by flight. Though, there are desires that are not fulfilled. Why? It means the energy of those desires is very low. Let us say we require X degrees of energy to get the work done. We have only X – 30. Then these desires can’t be fulfilled. How to increase their energy level? Give Reiki to those intensions. This will boost the energy level of them. For anything that’s not happening in your life, give it Reiki.

Reiki channels are successful because they work on the affirmations with lots of perseverance. When we fail, we form a belief – a self-limiting belief. We have to remove that from the mind. We can remove it through Reiki.

Forming Affirmations – there is a structure behind it

Write the goal as if it has already happened (affirmation) and give Reiki to it.

Add to all the affirmations, “Reiki heal the intention for the highest good for everybody concerned”. Why should we add this sentence to the affirmation? This is surrendering to Reiki, as only on a surrender things will happen. When we believe that Reiki can do it, it will start working.

We need to do different intentions on different paper. If one intention is healed, we don’t have to give Reiki to it. Though you can give Reiki for all the affirmations put together.

Or use a Reiki box where you can have multiple affirmations inside it and give Reiki to it. The box will be charged permanently and therefore any papers (stuff) kept inside the box will be energised quickly.

Draw all the symbols. Need not be in order, for example you can draw Zonar many times before drawing another symbol. You can use both traditional and Reiki symbols here.

Have the hands over the box or the individual affirmation (paper) for a minute or two. It (box or affirmation paper) will be energized with Reiki.

Instead of doing nothing while hands are placed, you may chant, “I am sorry, please forgive me, love, thanks, divine”. This will provide additional healing to the affirmation.

Saved from Tsunami – a Case History

If there is a problem in the society that means there is less energy. Reiki can be useful to handle that. I have a friend, who was saved from tsunami, by doing the Violet Flame meditation and giving Reiki to her house. While houses around her house were destroyed, her building remained intact, safe and sound.

Intention and Reiki

All our desires and intentions can be fulfilled with the help of Reiki. Reiki works as per our intention. As you intend, energy flows towards that direction or goal. Though, it might take its own route. Reiki can change anybody’s life. It’s a subtle form of energy, result of which, we may not be able to see immediately.

None of your intentions will go unfulfilled if you use Reiki. I challenge you on this!!!

The recent appearance of John Darwin, the canoeist who was presumed dead after the Coast Guard found

The recent appearance of John Darwin, the canoeist who was presumed dead after the Coast Guard found no trace of him at sea five years ago has led to numerous questions about his fate at the time, and a very interesting area for insurance Life in the UK, what happens if you pay someone to ask about death?

There is no indication in this case, whether Mrs Darwin was the beneficiary of a payment of life insurance andThe question is purely rhetorical. However, before you know if any refund is necessary, we must see how a person is declared dead, that payment is made in the first place.

A spokesman for the Association of British Insurers has confirmed that a missing person could be declared dead for seven years after the disappearance. But where there are "compelling evidence" suspected death, family members can go missing in the courtperson declared dead. In addition, life insurance companies may choose to pay before the law for seven years if they wish, even in cases where a body was recovered and no further.

Although there is no uniform agreement on what constitutes "compelling evidence" Most insurers agree that one of the following apply in cases where payments of life insurance, without a body is resolvedconsidered:

– If the probable age of survival of man was taken by the insured

– If the valuations are in danger of policyholders have been high

– If the insured is terminally ill or suffering from impaired health at the time of the disappearance

– If the actions of the insured lost altogether inconsistent with their behavior

So, to return to the main question: what happens if the beneficiary has received a payment under a lifeinsurance policy to a missing person, then return to life? Well, the answer is not so simple. A spokesman for the Association of British Insurers, which fell at the discretion of individual life insurance company on whether to continue receiving the request for recovery of any payments in cases where the insured is then alive. Only in cases of crime, clear, or when fraud is suspected or confirmed, is attempting to recoversum insured, but in other cases, the money could be excluded as an insured loss.

There are 3 primary tools that every accountant or bookkeeper needs in order to work most efficientl

There are 3 primary tools that every accountant or bookkeeper needs in order to work most efficiently with clients online. Using the Internet as the network, business professionals everywhere are realizing that the issues of time and distance no longer impact their ability to get work done. In order to make the most of your virtualized working model, consider the value of the following 3 elements you should have in your online toolkit.

Portals: Where you and your clients do business.

The client portal is an extremely important resource, as it essentially represents the WAY you and your clients do business together. You provide resources your client needs, such as access to important business applications and/or information, and you now have a way to seamlessly deliver services and information to your client. A big consideration here is whether or not you currently have a Website positioned to really do business with your clients (brochure site only? or “working website”?). If you’re going to drive your clients to your site regularly, you need to make it attractive, informative and productive – what we call “sticky”.

Applications: The programs and data you need, run from a place where you and your client (or team members, or outsourcers, etc.) can work in realtime together.

Online applications are the core of the online and outsourced accounting model. If the client runs their applications and manages their data in a centralized location – then the rest of the organization, the accountant or whomever needs to, may access that application and data in realtime. If the accounting practice or outsourcer IS essentially the business office for the client, the online model allows any level of interaction by the client – from accessing the application and data to simply receiving the resulting information.

Filespace: Secure storage space for source documents, data files, and other information you need to share.

Secure file space is the workhorse around the outsourcing model, as it provides the means to get source information from the client and provide it, securely, to those who need to process it (your staff, outsourcers, etc.). For clients not running online, perhaps this is the way you manage the exchange of data files. Applications supporting this requirement include simple file sharing, such as the InsynQ eFileShare service (lots of features, but we still call it simple, because it doesn’t provide a searchable index), to more extensive document management systems.

There is a very important fourth element involved in this model – it’s the outsourcer.

You, as the accounting professional, are really the primary. Sort of like the general contractor. You are the party to whom certain functions or processes have been outsourced by the client. Tax preparation, financial statement preparation, payroll and reports, bookkeeping – whatever. Once the technology model is securely in place, you can now look at your subs – the outsourcers that could possibly support your business and improve your cost of operations. The online model is what makes it really possible for all sizes and types of businesses. It may be an option for yours.

Joanie

:)
