I usually like my boots with either a flat or WEDGE heel, instead of the dressier pointy toed pencil heeled look, and am QUITE excited to cop a pair of the TRENDY over the knee styles.

Borano, Italy

In March, Todd and I will be on our honeymoon in Italy for two weeks! I’ve been looking all over for a fashionable yet practical cross-body bag to hold my camera, wallet, etc., while we’re exploring some of the world’s most romantic cities. I finally found a bag that I love, except it’s totally out of my price range (why does it always work out that way?). At $595, this lovely See by Chloé Rise and Shine cross-body bag is very unaffordable, but I’m on a mission to find it for less! I’ll keep you updated!

‘Tis the season… to buy BAGs! I don’t know why, but fall always seems to put me in bag-buying mood. First of all, summer bags go on sale and who doesn’t love SALES? And secondly, winter bags are in full force and I have such a thing for hefty leather goods. But fall/winter bags must meet certain criteria before they meet my wallet: A. Zipper! (so snow doesn’t clog up the inside of my purse!) B. Only real leather need apply (pleather is not durable enough) C. Must rest comfortably on my shoulder and/or sling over body, messenger style (I wear really LARGE THICK coats in the winter, and I don’t want to worry about my bag slipping from my mitten’d hands so the bag must go on my shoulder)

So with that in mind, let’s take a look at what A/W bags are up to the challenge!

Wowzas, this bag is cute AND pricey! $495 is a bit outta my budget right now, but this Rebecca Minkoff bag from Shopbob is perfect for my cold season needs. And it’s called Love Satchel! EEK! Totally heart&want it. (Psst wouldn’t it have been cute if the inside print were hearts with little arrows through them to keep with the “Love” theme?)

I know I know, this bag is still over $400. But whenever I see that something is on sale, I get tricked into purchasing the exorbitant thing! This See by Chloe Backstage Hobo is such a beautiful red color. But it’d probably clash with my red coat and my red scarf and my red hat huh… Or is it the more red the merrier at this point? Oh, and I just realized that this bag is not a zipper-top. See what the SALE sign does to me?!?

This Tory Burch Flapper Satchel (again, cute name!) is going straight to the top of my Christmas Wish List!

I put this bag on this post so it would alleviate any guilt when buying a mere $500 bag. This AWESOME Be & D Garbo Tote with Hardware is a pretty penny, but what a pretty purse it is! And the makers are from BROOKLYN! HOLLA!

And don’t forget to care for your leather bags! They are an investment after all. If you think about having a bag for forever, then $1500 spread out over a lifetime doesn’t seem so bad…

Now that Halloween has come and gone, it means it’s only going to start getting colder.  Bundling up in a warm coat is not the only way to stay warm on a chilly autumn day – gloves or mittens are essential. Well, if you want to feel your hands upon arriving at your destination. Have you ever tried to grip a pen to take notes with numb hands? It ain’t pretty.

But gloves are. Designers have really pulled out all the stops on gloves/mittens this year. They’ve incorporated all the latest trends (studs, ruffles, animal print, color) and made them fully functional for women of the 21st century. I’m in love with Haute Hippie’s beige jersey tank dress with blush tutu skirt. I love how NET-A-PORTER’s stylist put textured ankle boots and a biker jacket to complete the look.

5. T by Alexander Wang: Jersey one-shoulder dress $95

T by Alexander Wang’s black jersey one-shoulder dress is a major trend this season add a chunky choker and funky embellished booties and your good to go! And at $95 you can’t go wrong with this.

6. McQ: Draped jersey dress $235

This dramatically draped navy jersey dress from McQ is probably be my favorite dress in the cart! Jersey is so easy to wear either pair it with boots and leggings and oversized belt, or bare legs booties and a leather jacket.

• Drop boxy sneakers, shop Vans eller boots: Store, boxy, worn-out sneakers kan ødelegge et helt antrekk (jepp, det gjelder både for jenter og gutter). Kjøp heller freshe Vans, som kommer i alle regnbuens farger – fett til både jeans og chinos, eller grove boots – høstens slager. Det er ikke noe galt i en casual, laid-back stil – men husk at skoene skal se box-freshe ut, uten å være boxy (get the picture?)
• Drop joggebukser, shop haremsbukser eller tights: Ja – joggebukser er comfy. Det er imidlertid ingen unnskyldning til å gå med de i all offentlighet, for hvor mange ganger skal det gjentas: jobbebukser er IKKE et antrekk (i alle fall ikke etter at du er ferdig med videregående)  Værsåsnill – velg haremsbukser eller tights i stedet – like comfy, men mye mye kulere – i alle fall for en stakket stund.
• Drop perler, shop nagler: Tenk rocka, og dropp de sukkersøte perlene når du velger accesoarer. Eventuelt kan du kombinere perler og nagler for et kult, men feminint uttrykk.
• Drop designer statement-bags, shop subtile high-fashion-bags: Louis Vuitton, Loius Vuitton, Loius Vuitton… Ikke et ondt ord om Louis Vuitton, men en smekk på lanken til alle de som utelukkende kjøper designer-bags fordi produsentens logo står trykket flest mulig ganger på veskens overflate. Det eksiterer imidlertid også andre veskeprodusenter enn Loius Vuitton – sjekk for eksempel ut den ultrahotte Day Tripper Bag fra See by Chloé.
