<title><![CDATA[Retrorecensione: Mortal Kombat]]></title>

<p>Erano gli anni del dominio incontrastato di Street Fighter, re dei picchiaduro 2D. Tanti &#8220;cloni&#8221; erano stati prodotti per rubargli il trono, ma nessuno riuscì nell&#8217;intento. Poi, un giorno i programmatori della <strong>Midway</strong>, ebbero la brillante idea di lavorare su un progetto, che doveva alleviare un po&#8217; l&#8217;attenzione sul capolavoro Capcom. Così crearono Mortal Kombat, una produzione che <strong>creò &#8220;un genere nel genere&#8221;</strong>. Fece il suo esordio nelle sale giochi di tutto il mondo nel <strong>1992</strong> ed ebbe un impatto incredibile sugli amanti del genere picchiaduro. Fece poi la sua comparsa su Amiga 500, PC, Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Sega CD, Game Gear, Game Boy e Super Nintendo.</p>
<p>Le novità introdotte erano veramente tante e di ottima fattura. Innanzitutto l&#8217;aspetto grafico, infatti crearono <strong>i personaggi giocabili tramite la digitalizzazione di attori reali</strong>; precedentemente l&#8217;Atari tentò questa strada con il picchiaduro dell&#8217;Amiga Pit Fighter, ma non riuscirono a ricreare la pulizia e la fluidità di movimento, che invece caratterizzano il titolo Midway.</p>
<p>Dal punto di vista dei comandi <strong>la novità fu il tasto di parata</strong>, usato per la prima volta in un picchiaduro. Inoltre le mosse erano complicate e necessitavano di un minimo di allenamento; una volta presa la mano era possibile fare delle combo di calci e pugni devastanti.</p>

<p>Ma veniamo alla caratteristica principale di Mortal Kombat: la <em><strong>VIOLENZA</strong></em>. Ad ogni pugno e calcio inflitto, il sangue sgorgava a fiumi. E quando il nemico terminava l&#8217;energia, appariva la scritta<em><strong> FINISH HIM!</strong></em> (la cui voce è diventata un mito) e rimaneva in balia dell&#8217;avversario per circa 5 secondi. Proprio in questi 5 secondi si poteva tirare fuori il lato più violento del gioco con le <strong>Fatality</strong>. Attraverso una combinazione si poteva fare a brandelli l&#8217;intero a corpo, estragli il cuore e via dicendo. Purtroppo ci furono delle censure, totale per la versione del Super Nintendo e sbloccabile tramite codici per Amiga e Mega Drive.</p>
<p><strong>I personaggi disponibili dall&#8217;inizio erano 7</strong> (Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Scorpion, Sonya, Johnny Cage, Raiden, Kano) <strong>più Reptile</strong>, sbloccabile durante il gioco. La struttura del gioco consisteva in combattimenti al meglio dei tre round. Dopo sei scontri con altri personaggi, ci si doveva scontrare con se stessi nel mirror match; in seguito si dovevano affrontare tre endurance match, in cui si combatteva con tro due personaggi ad incontro (ucciso uno, compariva subito l&#8217;altro). Superata questa prova difficile, ci attendevano i due scontri finali: contro il mostro a 4 braccia Goro e il boss di turno Shang Tsung, che aveva il potere di assumere le sembianze, e di conseguenza le mosse, di tutti i personaggi del gioco.</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">En effet, tout est devenu plus simple, plus (trop?) accessible et proposant <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">souvent</span> parfois moins de challenge! Beaucoup de développeurs ont diminués le niveau de difficulté de leurs jeux&#8230; Avant, on n&#8217;avait pas 90 vies et on ne passait pas un Super Mario en une traite!</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Bien pour les casuals gamers, moins bien pour les vrais gamers des salles d&#8217;arcades et de consoles hardcores&#8230; (Neo Geo, NES, Pc Engine, &#8230;)</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Heureusement, depuis quelques temps, et grâce à l&#8217;âme de vrais gamers qui se sont fait entendrent, le retrogaming revient sur le devant de la scène! Alors, on est à même à se demander &#8220;pourquoi&#8221;?</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Manque d&#8217;imagination des développeurs? Besoin de revenir à des jeux qui n&#8217;utilisent que 2 ou 4 boutons? Ou juste de la nostalgie?</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Pas facile de répondre à ça, car c&#8217;est peut-être tout à la fois en fait.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">En effet, pour le moment, et grâce, notamment, à des alternatives comme le Xbox Live Arcade, le Playstation Store ou encore le WiiWare, le retrogaming fait parler de lui!</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">Bien sûr, [mode vieux crouton "ON"] les jeunos d&#8217;aujourd&#8217;hui trouvent ces jeux moches et sans intérêts!!! On ne jure plus que par la Wii et ses cours de cuisines&#8230; (cette phrase a été citée avec la voix d&#8217;Abraham Simpson&#8230;). Et donc, c&#8217;est pour cela que certains développeurs ont pondus des versions HD de leurs anciens hits&#8230; Bonne initiative, mais le soucis c&#8217;est que cette version est, la plupart du temps, &#8220;inferior&#8221; à la version originale! Je m&#8217;explique: prennons Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (puf&#8230; puf&#8230;). Les graphs sont en HD, ok, mais pour les joueurs de l&#8217;original, ce n&#8217;est plus du tout le même&#8230; Vitesse d&#8217;exécution des persos plus lente, graphismes en HD mais moins fouillés que les beaux pixels de la Super NES, combattants moins charismatiques, &#8230; Bref, décevant pour ceux qui l&#8217;attendait&#8230; Tout ça, c&#8217;est surtout pour attiré un plus large public. Cependant, d&#8217;autres jeux remis au goûts du jour comme Marvel VS Capcom 2 par exemple, et qui respect totalement l&#8217;oeuvre d&#8217;époque en ajoutant quelques améliorations comme le mode online, ont cartonnés bien plus, à l&#8217;étonnement de Capcom&#8230; Les seuls étonnés!?</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Personnellement, ça me fait plaisir de revoir quand même certaines suites comme Punch Out, New Super Mario, Excite Bike et j&#8217;en passe&#8230; Car même si ce sont de nouveaux jeux, les développeurs s&#8217;arrangent pour garder le même esprit et taper quelques clins d&#8217;oeil à leurs ancêtres sur NES. Merci à Nintendo pour ça quand même&#8230; Car malgré certains jeux totalement pourris sur Wii et DS, soyons franc, les productions Nintendo, elles, restent fidèles à elles mêmes sauf pour leurs difficultés. Mario est devenu trop facile!!!</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Par contre, Capcom nous a sorti un vrai bon jeu d&#8217;époque: Megaman 9! Et là, c&#8217;est du gros, du trèèès gros morceaux&#8230; La difficulté est énorme, les graphismes du 8-bits et ça se joue avec 2 boutons! Un vrai jeu NES sur consoles New-Gen! Et ça fait plaisir de revoir ça! Dommage que ça ne sort pas en support physique mais bon&#8230; Ne soyons pas trop gourmants! ^^</p>
<p style="text-align:center;">Ce qui est super aussi, ce sont les compiles sur PSP ou Ps2, le plus souvent (même si il y en a sur à peu près toutes les consoles), avec les hits de jeux Capcom, SNK, SEGA ou encore Namco! Ca nous fait revivre de bons moments avec, parfois, certains jeux qui deviennent introuvables même sur le net (ex: Street Fighter premier du nom). J&#8217;encourage des initiatives de ce genre!</p>

<p style="text-align:center;">Ce qui est sympa, c&#8217;est de voir que certains n&#8217;oublient pas les origines du jeux vidéo. On commence à retrouver du retrogaming un peu partout. On retrouve pas mal d&#8217;images &#8220;photoshopées&#8217; avec des persos pixelisés dans un monde réel, on y retrouve des clips musicaux tout en 8-bits, des albums de chiptunes, des goodies, des expositions et musées comme ceux des gars de l&#8217;association <a href="http://www.mo5.com/">Mo5.com</a>, des retro-tests par beaucoup de sites ou même des membres sur Dailymotion (voir page <a href="http://otageek.wordpress.com/mon-groupe-sur-dailymotion-retro-gaming/">Dailymotion: Retro-Gaming</a> sur Otageek), des rétrospectives dans des magazines (<a href="http://www.ig-magazine.com/fr">IG mag</a>) ou émissions (merci à Marcus surtout!), des collectionneurs (comme moi! ^^), des remakes sur iPhone ou encore sur les services en lignes des consoles nouvelles générations, des boutiques spécialisées en retrogaming, et j&#8217;en passe&#8230; Le jeu vidéo d&#8217;antan réinspire, si je puis dire, les joueurs et développeurs de maintenant!</p>

<h3><strong> Number 5</strong></h3>

<p>The net <strong>Yaroze system</strong> for the Playstation one, i foolishly sold mine for £400 not to long back, and now a mint PAL boxed complete set is going to knock me back £500, so its not something i am going to buy anytime soon. I do believe though that it is a possibility within the next few years. Its one of those consoles i want, being a ps1 collector an&#8217; all, but i can&#8217;t justify buying it yet. As id equally like to buy a few other lesser known ps1 consoles, but don&#8217;t want to announce them, as they&#8217;re pretty much unknown, and i may be wrong.</p>
<h3><strong>Number 4</strong></h3>

PC Engine LT</strong>, we all know this one, its basically the holy grail of the PC Engine, commanding prices for £600+ its one for the serious gamer/collector. Games are a big factor for me, and luckily the PC Engine has some great games for it, especially the Jap imports. I still hear rumors of these costing under£100 in japan, so people are making good profit on these&#8230; that slightly puts me of buying one. But i deffinetly want one.</p>

Red Jap PS2</strong>, i know its a modern console, but still i want one, they&#8217;re beautiful. Japan has alwas been the center of gaming for me (and the world), and i&#8217;ve always loved their gaming artwork, or variants to our releases &#8211; a good reason to spend a few hundred, right?  There are also many games i would much prefer to own in Jap, rather than pal, ie the shumps/fighters. In truth i know nothing about Jap PS2 games, but that will change, as one of these is on its way to me real soon.</p>

<p>Red <strong>Sharp Twin Famicom</strong>, Now i want this, i want this bad. I&#8217;ve got a thing for red consoles, as you can probably already tell. I&#8217;m still incredibly unsire as to whether i am going to buy one or not though. The reason being the games are slightly expensive/out of reach. I only want around 20 games, and that works out well over £600 just for 20 games, plus £200 for console; its alot. Truth is, i&#8217;ll probably only play Splatter house and bubble bobble 2, as any real gamer knows that they&#8217;re both is an incredible games, i secretly know i won&#8217;t ever really play them. For the same price as this lot i can get hold of the &#8220;Blockbuster World video game Championships II cartridge&#8221; which has an equally obismal amount of playlife, but still radical to own &#8211; and super rare.</p>
<h3><strong>Number 1</strong></h3>

A <strong>PAL SNK NEO GEO</strong> &#8211; Why? Why not just settle with a cheaper jap console? its simple, i want a PAL one. Always have, always will. I can expect a good £1000 to fly out of my bank account to get one along with a couple average games for the system, but do i care? Do i f***. The great thing about the SNK is it is region free, i can play any SNK NEO GEO game from around the world and it will play it, better still it will show the language of the game as english, so if i play a Jap game on a PAL machine, it&#8217;ll be as if im playing an English game, sweet. I&#8217;ve been after a PAL NEO GEO for sometimes, and for a long time i&#8217;d settled with a Jap one (i do love japanese gaming), but i&#8217;m a British gamer, this console is the most coverted console of all time, Pal editions do occassionaly come up for sale&#8230; I know Its time i best start saving.</p>
<h3><strong>Honourable mentions:<br />
</strong></h3>
<p>Thats right, there are plenty of other consoles out there that i want, but the 5 above just slightly beat them.</p>
<p>Luckily for my wallet im content with the standard Pal <strong>Dreamcast</strong>, but i&#8217;d love either of these rare Jap Variants.</p>

This is by no means a bad thing for the most part but when animals are thrown into the mix, I begin to worry. Sega&#8217;s latest &#8216;oh my god I want <em><strong>Bayonetta</strong></em> now&#8217; trailer shows her many transformations that aid in her quest for angelic bloodshed. The video itself looks great and has the same sultry female tones as <a href="http://backfortwoseconds.wordpress.com/2009/11/05/bayonettas-weapons-and-combos/" target="_self">previous trailers</a> &#8211; similar to M&#38;S adverts (foreign readers may want to YouTube that&#8230;). I don&#8217;t know what it is but there&#8217;s something odd about hearing a sexy accent almost moan out the advantages of turning into a panther. See for yourself above.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve been recently playing on the PS3&#8217;s <strong>Sega Mega Drive Collection, </strong>and became really immersed in revisiting some of my favourite games from the 8-16 Bit Eras. Amongst their ranks (as the title of this entry suggests) is the <strong>Streets of Rage </strong>trilogy, and so I&#8217;ve decided to do a short review on the original (my personal favourite of the series).</p>

<p>The first thing I should probably say about this game is that I spent a vast portion of my time between the ages of 5 &#8211; 8 playing it to death on varying levels of difficulty, and is perhaps one of my favourite games ever.</p>
<p>The premise of the game is very, very basic, like 80&#8217;s B-Action-Movie basic. A Criminal organisation, known to the player only as the Syndicate, has managed to effectively take power, bending the police force and government to serve their needs. You play as one of three young cops Adam Hunter, Axel Stone or Blaze Fielding, who are determined to clean up the crime that is all too ripe on the streets of the nameless city.</p>
<p>The gameplay features simple three-button conrols, using &#8216;B&#8217; to attack and pick up items, &#8216;C&#8217; to jump and &#8216;A&#8217; to do a &#8216;Special Attack&#8217;, this basically calls in external help in the form of SWAT. Players 1 &#38; 2 receive seperate special attacks, player 1 will call a Napalm strike, and player 2 receives help in the form of RPGs. There is no difference in damage ratio, but it is nice to see different animations for each player. As with the majority of games released at the time, levels are 100% linear, you will walk from the left hand side of the level, to the right hand side before encountering a boss.</p>
<p>The Boss fights are some of the fondest memories I have of gaming, these guys are like 3 or 4 times the size of the generic grunts that plague the rest of the level, and much tougher, in some fights your health can just drain so quickly, due to the sheer damage these guys can deal with single blows. The best thing about the boss fights is the <a title="classic MIDI-Rave Soundtrack" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VevbWpkeEo" target="_blank">classic MIDI-Rave Soundtrack</a> that accompanies every boss fight, it is just asking to be remixed, and for all I know, it could&#8217;ve been.</p>
<p>The game is only 8 levels long, but there is a certain charm about it that will keep you coming back for more. While Streets of Rage may not be the most rewarding of game experiences, and it&#8217;s gameplay may seem somewhat shallow, it&#8217;s sure as hell one of the most fun, and has become my &#8216;Chillout Haven&#8217; during time away from the more complex and story driven games life has to offer.</p>

Quando <em>Street Fighter II: The World Warrior</em> chegou aos arcades em 1991 e aos consoles domésticos um ano depois com um sucesso estrondoso, as produtoras concentraram os esforços nos títulos de pancadaria. Entre experiências boas e ruins, foram criados jogos que não caíram nas graças dos jogadores e outros que marcaram época.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Pela qualidade ou pelo apelo à violência, <em>Mortal Kombat</em> marcou o início dos jogos sanguinários como o principal concorrente de<em> Street Fighter II</em>. Lançado pela Acclaim em 1993, o título deu início a uma série que ganha jogos até hoje, embora menos aclamados que nas gerações anteriores, e se tornou um ícone na cultura pop dos videogames &#8211; virou filme, desenho animado, inspirou músicas e até foi &#8220;clonado&#8221; por outros estúdios, assim como o jogo da Capcom.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">O estilo introduzido por <em>Mortal Kombat</em> era bem diferente do até então visto nos outros jogos do gênero. A maior diferença eram os gráficos &#8211; os personagens eram atores filmados, cuja imagem foi digitalizada e transformada em animação por quadros, o mesmo recurso usado para a programação dos movimentos de <em>Prince of Persia</em>. Os cenários e os próprios personagens fugiam do estilo &#8220;desenho animado&#8221;, fazendo com que, na época, os gráficos fossem os mais próximos do real possível, dando a sensação das três dimensões.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><a href="http://baudovideogame.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/mortal-kombat-screenshot.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-394 alignright" title="Mortal Kombat Screenshot" src="http://baudovideogame.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/mortal-kombat-screenshot.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="235" height="160" /></a>Com uma história cheia de clichês como pano de fundo &#8211; um torneio de &#8220;combates mortais&#8221; entre o mundo dos humanos e um mundo sobrenatural chamado Outworld &#8211; <em>Mortal Kombat</em> tinha sete personagens jogáveis: Rayden, Kano, Sonya (a única mulher do primeiro jogo), Johnny Cage, Liu Kang e os ninjas Subzero e Scorpion, estes que dariam início à produção em série de ninjas utilizados na série. Cada qual com seu motivo, o objetivo desses lutadores era simplesmente derrotar os outros, depois vencer Goro e Shang Tsung, os dois chefes do jogo, e se tornar o grande campeão, diferente de toda aquela história contada no filme que o SBT insiste em reprisar.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Mas o que fez de <em>Mortal Kombat</em> um sucesso não foram as atuações de Christopher Lambert como o deus do trovão e sim a violência, os ossos e o sangue. Afinal, nenhum jogo até então mostrava sangue jorrando toda vez que um gancho era desferido no adversário. Pelo menos não com o &#8220;realismo&#8221; de <em>Mortal Kombat</em>. E se a violência é o grande atrativo do jogo, o maior crédito por isso vai com louvor para os fatalities, as finalizações especiais que são praticamente o DNA da série. Cabeças e corações arrancados, corpos incendiados e eletrocutados, era disso que o povo gostava e era isso que podia fazer depois de espancar o inimigo e ver um grande &#8220;Finish him!&#8221; aparecer na tela. Após a execução do comando, então, a animação era ativada e a eliminação sádica do oponente fazia a alegria das massas.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Um ano antes de chegar ao Mega Drive, <em>Mortal Kombat</em> já ganhava espaço nos arcades, e ao mesmo tempo em que foi lançado para o console da Sega, também foi para o Super NES. A diferença é que no Mega Drive foram mantidos os gráficos de sangue, enquanto na plataforma da Nintendo o que  espirrava dos personagens era suor e alguns fatalities, como o de Subzero, foram alterados. O jogo, aliás, foi um dos principais responsáveis pela criação da ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) em 1994, um órgão de classificação etária e censura de jogos casos estes contenham cenas e elementos impróprios para certas idades.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">A série continua ainda hoje e, claro, ganhou grandes inovações, novos personagens e toda uma história mais bem elaborada. São cerca de dez títulos &#8211; alguns dos quais nem de luta são - distribuídos por mais de 20 consoles. Um título respeitável, criador de parâmetros gráficos e de jogabilidade e merecedor de um lugar entre os mais lembrados.</p>

<p>Considered to be both a milestone in shooter design and one of the toughest games in the genre, Radiant Silvergun comes courtesy of Japanese developer Treasure. Released only in Japan, Radiant Silvergun offered two modes, Arcade and Saturn mode. The former is all about intense 2D shooting action, while Saturn Mode adds a storyline to the mix and features anime-style characters and voice overs. Radiant Silvergun&#8217;s most interesting feature is that it did away with the power-up system so prevalent in 2D shooters and instead offered a choice of attacks &#8212; and combos between them. <p>As mentioned before, a couple thousand lucky people were given early access to the Xbox 360  Bayonetta demo at the beginning of the month.  The good news is that all the people who didn&#8217;t feel like signing up for a Sega Pass just for a chance for the early download code won&#8217;t have to wait too long for a public demo as it was announced that the 360 <em>and</em> PS3 demo are slated to be available for download on Dec/03/2009.  The game so far has been a critical darling and looks to carry that momentum over to their Jan/05/2010 North American release and now a month before it&#8217;s release, anxious gamers will be able to get a glimpse of perfection (at least according to Famitsu and Edge UK).  Sean C.</p>

SEGA of America Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd. can today announce that a demo for the much anticipated third person action title BAYONETTA will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network in the US and across Europe on December 3rd.</p>
<p>“PlatinumGames promised us a brilliant game in Bayonetta and they have more than delivered on that promise,” said Sean Ratcliffe, VP of Marketing, SEGA of America. “The review scores we’re seeing across the globe are truly stunning and proves to us that we have one of the standout games of recent years on our hands. We&#8217;re ecstatic about the quality of the game and hope that those who download and play the demo will feel just as excited.”</p>
<p>BAYONETTA has achieved a perfect score of 10/10 in EDGE magazine in the UK, becoming only the 11th game to do so in the magazine’s history since its first issue in 1993.</p>
<p>BAYONETTA was also recently reviewed by Japan’s most respected games magazine Weekly Famitsu, achieving a perfect score of 40/40 for Xbox 360 and 38/40 for PlayStation 3, with both scores garnering a Platinum award. BAYONETTA is only the 12th game ever to receive a perfect score in the magazine’s history since its first issue in 1986.</p>
<p>BAYONETTA is set for release in the U.S. on January 5th and across Europe on January 8th 2010 on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.</p>

I&#8217;ve <a href="http://backfortwoseconds.wordpress.com/2009/10/11/bayonetta-demo-impressions/" target="_self">played the demo</a> finding it to be brilliantly quirky and fully accessible to western audiences so it&#8217;s a wonder why we had to wait so long. <p><strong>Wenn man im Bus oder im Zug sitzt, auf etwas wartet, oder gerade auf dem Heimweg ist, dann ist die beste Möglichkeit, Zeit totzuschlagen eindeutig Gaming. Wenn man dann noch seine liebsten Retro-Titel unterwegs zocken kann, dann fängt der Spaß erst so richtig an. Ich liste euch heute ein paar meiner Retro to go Games auf.</strong></p>

<p></strong>Mein erster Tip ist gleichzeitig ein Geheimtipp. Mit Dragonball Z Buu&#8217;s Fury ist nämlich eines meiner liebsten GBA Spiele erschienen. Das tolle Action Kampfsystem mit den Rollenspielelementen und der Dragonball Saga rund um Buu macht diesen Titel für mich zu einen wirklichen Hit. Ich habe viel Zeit mit diesem Titel verbracht, auch nach dem Story Ending war es spaßig, die Charaktere hochzuleveln, die Welten noch ein bisschen zu erforschen und neue Fertigkeiten zu lernen. Sehr cool: Man kann zwischen allen Dragonball Z Charakteren, die in diesem Teil der Saga tätig sind, spielen und wechseln nach Lust und Laune.</p>

<p>Ein weiteres Rollenspiel darf hier in diesem Artikel dabei sein. Dabei handelt es sich um Final Fantasy IV Advance, welches ich schon seit SNES Zeiten gut kenne. Damals hat mich das Spiel schon begeistert, heute laufe ich noch gerne mit dem Gameboy Advance herum und spiel den Teil. Busfahrten werden so nie langweilig und auch der ein oder andere Sitznachbar ist sofort still und schaut gespannt auf dem Bildschirm um die sofort ergreifende Story mitzubekommen, oder die toll gemachten Kämpfe mitzuverfolgen.</p>
<p>Klar, es gibt noch viele andere Final Fantasy&#8217;s auf dem GBA, aber die müssen nicht alle genannt werden. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance etc. sind alles wirklich gute Titel, aber das hier ist einfach das beste Handheld Game der Reihe!<!--more--></p>

<p>Um auch eine gelungene Collection zu erwähnen, bringen wir diese mit ein. Schon allein die zwei Phantasy Stars (II und IV) berechtigen den Kauf dieser Collection allemal. Die anderen Titel sind auch wirklich gut. <p>Auf sämtlichen Handhelds ist Castlevania nun schon erschienen, aber auf keinem konnte es mich mehr überzeugen. Aria of Sorrow ist eines der wenigen Titel, dass die Elemente von Videospielen so gut verbindet wie sonst. Die RPG Elemente und das gut umgesetzte Metroidvania Prinzip, sowie die Liebe zum Detail seitens Konami machen den Titel unheimlich gut. Man spielt ausnahmsweise keinen Belmont und peitscht auch nicht in der Gegend herum, stattdessen sammelt man verschiedene Waffen und Seelen und läuft im Schloss von Graf Drakula umher, besiegt gigantische Bossgegner und erkundet die Umgebung.</p>
<p>Meiner Meinung nach eignet dieser Teil sich sowohl für lange als auch für kurze Sessions, da man jederzeit in Speicherräumen sein Spiel absichern kann, jedoch auch einfach fortfahren kann.</p>

<p>Schade dass ich Minish Cap erst jetzt nachhole. Denn hätte ich dieses Zelda Abenteuer früher gekannt, wäre ich wohl öfter mit dem früheren Bus gefahren,  um dann vor der Schule sitzend Zelda zu spielen. Stattdessen darf ich jetzt daheim spielen, weil ansonsten keine Zeit für das langwierige Adventure bleibt.</p>
<p>Ich habe übrigens bewusst zu Minish Cap gegriffen, da mir dieser Teil von den Handheld Zelda&#8217;s am besten gefallen hat, neben Phantom Hourglass. Aber Phantom Hourglass ist noch kein Retro Game, von daher&#8230;</p>

<p>Diese Videospielreihe prägte mein Leben als Gamer. Dank ihr spiele ich jetzt Rollenspiele, durch sie hab&#8217; ich lesen gelernt und mit ihr gehe ich gerne auch heute noch aus dem Haus. Zwar nehme ich, um nicht mit dem klobigen Kultklumpen Gameboy aufzufallen, lieber meinen GBA mit, allerdings kann es schon oft passieren, dass genau dieses Spiel im Slot steckt. Die unheilmich gute Spielmechanik packt einen unheimlich gut, man kann allerdings auch jederzeit speichern und dann ausschalten.</p>

La respuesta del porque uno disfruta más con juegos como Sonic Advance o <strong>Sonic Rush </strong>por encima de <strong>Sonic</strong> <strong>Unleashed </strong>o <strong>Sonic y el Caballero Negro</strong> es fácil y concisa: Al erizo no le sientan bien las 3D. No porque la mecánica en sí de los Sonic sea incompatible con esta, sino porque los desarrolladores simplemente no han sabido adaptarse a esa evolución. El resultado: juegos para el olvido, la solución: volver a las 2D. SEGA captó el mensaje, y hace unos meses anunció la salida de un nuevo juego protagonizado por la carismática mascota, esta vez en 2D y siendo fiel a las raíces.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Tras ver como Nintendo sigue teniendo en cuenta los orígenes del incombustible Mario pariendo juegazos como <strong>New Super Mario Bros Wii</strong>, queda claro que algunos personajes tienen un habitat natural. El caso de Mario es distinto, ya que sus apariciones en 3D nunca han dejado un sabor agridulce, cosa que no pasa con Sonic, y eso SEGA lo sabe. <strong>Sonic y los Anillos Secretos </strong>fue un buen intento que con una jugabilidad un poco más pulida podía haber sentado las bases para nuevas ideas, pero no, no es lo mismo amigos. Aunque los <strong>Sonic Adventure </strong>de Dreamcast mostraron el camino, este no se ha seguido.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Y es cuando uno se pone a los mandos de un Sonic en 2D cuando se da cuenta de la grandeza de estos juegos y del poder del píxel, cuando se empapa de ese universo seguero acompañado de loopings, langostas cibernéticas, pinchos traicioneros y luces de neón. Los primeros Sonic fueron grandes y hay que volver a ese punto de partida. Habrá que esperar.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Y con motivo de este post-moña nostálgico me gustaría hacer una <strong>encuesta entre los lectores del blog para determinar cual ha sido el mejor Sonic en 2D de la historia en cualquier plataforma</strong>. Desde los brillantes Sonic de Master System hasta los de la increible trilogía de Megadrive, sin dejar atrás el entrañable Sonic CD o las nuevas propuestas portátiles después de la muerte de  SEGA en el ámbito del hardware. Votad por vuestro favorito. Tenéis hasta el día uno de Diciembre para ello. El Sonic ganador será examinado con lupa en un concienzudo retro-análisis. Ale, a poner el grito en el cielo para que este entrañable animalico azul vuelva a ganarse el respeto.</p>

Da das Spiel sogar für ein Erwachsenenspiel noch relativ brutal ist, wollte ihm die USK keine Freigabe geben. Nur wenn es Publisher SEGA geschnitten hätte, wäre die Freigabe für den deutschen Markt drin gewesen. Dieser weigerte sich jedoch, warum auch immer, und jetzt kommt das Game bei uns nicht heraus.<br />
Wer sich den Spiel gewordenen Kampf der beiden Rassen aber auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen will, der muss sich das ganze wohl oder übel aus dem Ausland holen.</p>
<p>Ich sage für&#8217;s erste good bye Aliens vs. Predator und bedauere SEGAs Beschluss, da der Titel mit Sicherheit Potenzial hat.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Sparkster kehrt zur&uuml;ck]]></title>

<p>Und wieder kehrt ein altbekannter Videospieleheld zurück: Sparkster, der Held der Rocket Knight Spiele, welche zwar im Großen und Ganzen als Jump &#38; Runs zu bezeichnen sind, jedoch aufgrund von Schwert und Schusswaffengebrauch heutzutage am ehesten mit Ratchet &#38; Clank verglichen werden können.</p>
<p>In den ersten beiden Teilen, die übrigens 1993 bzw. 1994 für den Sega Mega Drive erschienen, bekämpfe Sparkster eine bösartige Armee bestehend aus Schweinen und Robotern, angeführt von Antagonist Axle Gear. Nun, Jahre später, will sich Sparkster nach den zermürbenden Schlachten zur Ruhe setzen. Ausgesucht für den Ruhestand hat er sich das friedliche Königreich Zephyrus. Allerdings haben sich dort schon die Schweine aus den ersten Teilen niedergelassen, weshalb er sich nach einem anderen Ort umsieht. Dabei bemerkt er jedoch, dass sich über dem Königreich ein Krieg zusammenbraut. Seltsamerweise kämpfen seine einstigen Widersacher, die Schweine, zusammen mit Axel Gear und seinen eigenen Artgenossen gegen eine seltsame Rasse von Wölfen. Irgendwas muss an der ganzen Sache Faul sein, weshalb sich Sparkster wieder ins Getümmel stürzt. </p>
<p>Bis jetzt gibt es einen knapp 2 minütigen Trailer vom neuen Rocket Knight, der jedoch bereits einen guten Eindruck hinterlässt. In dem Trailer sieht man das vermutlich erste Level des Spiels, das sich in luftigen Höhen in Baumwipfeln abspielt. Anders als bei vielen anderen Neuauflagen alter Games legen die Entwickler, Climax Studios, wert darauf, das Spielgefühl der alten Teile einzufangen. Deshalb betrachtet ihr das Geschehen trotz moderner Technik weiterhin von der Seite. Der Comiclook passt dabei meiner Meinung nach prima zum Spiel, und die Animationen sehen flüssig aus und tragen zum actionlastigen Getümmel bei.</p>
<p>Der Release des Spiels ist auf Anfang 2010 angesetzt. Erscheinen wird das Spiel für die Xbox360, PS3 und PC (Steam). Ich bin gespannt ob sich der gute Eindruck des Trailers auch ins fertige Spiel überträgt.</p>

Nah. Turns out some folk in China quietly showed off an Oriental take on the mod &#8212; not too dissimilar from the form factor of the <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/gameboy">GameBoy</a> Advance &#8212; just before the DreamTrooper&#8217;s debut. Details are thin here, but we&#8217;re hoping for a built-in optical drive and a decent battery life. If we&#8217;re lucky, some <a href="http://www.engadget.com/tag/kirf">KIRF</a> makers might pick up this idea and revive the legendary Dreamcast brand, so don&#8217;t go selling your dusty game collection on eBay just yet. Go ahead and watch some <em>The King of Fighters </em>action after the break. En ce Mardi 8 Juin 2010, et à une semaine de l&#8217;E3, le web s&#8217;affole suite à la mise en place par <em>Sega</em> d&#8217;un compte à rebours aussitôt retiré pour de mystérieuses raisons (trafique trop élevé, leak involontaire ?). Par chance, quelqu&#8217;un a pu en faire un screenshot, bloqué sur &#8220;<em>M8-168&#8243;</em>. Faire monter la sauce grâce à un compte à rebours n&#8217;est pas une méthode nouvelle, surtout chez Sega, mais cette fois ci, cela semble annoncer quelque chose d&#8217;énorme, quelque chose qu&#8217;une grande partie des gamers attendent depuis des années, le retour de Sega dans le hardware. La suite après le break !</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><!--more-->Oui vous avez bien lu, et même si ce ne sont que des rumeurs, avouez que les arguments plaidant en ce sens ont l&#8217;air plutôt solides.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">En effet quelques internautes éclairés ont remarqué l&#8217;utilisation de la même police d&#8217;écriture que le <a href="http://www.gamechoiceclub.com/image/md_mark3.gif" target="_blank"><em>Sega Mark III</em></a> (la <em>Master System</em> au Japon). De ce fait, en associant cette police d&#8217;écriture au <em>&#8220;M8&#8243;</em> qui précède <em>&#8220;168&#8243;</em> certains en on déduit que le <em>&#8220;M&#8221;</em> serait alors l&#8217;abréviation de <em>&#8220;Mark&#8221;</em>, ce qui nous donne <em>&#8220;Mark 8&#8243;</em>. La dernière console <em>Sega</em> à avoir utilisé ce système normatif était la <em>Megadrive</em>, autrement dit, la <em>&#8220;Mark V&#8221;</em>. Si l&#8217;on exclue la <em>32x</em> qui était un add-on, on peut alors en déduire que la <em>Saturn</em> et la <em>Dreamcast</em> correspondraient respectivement à <em>&#8220;Mark VI&#8221;</em> et <em>&#8220;Mark VII&#8221;</em>, et ainsi <em>&#8220;Mark 8&#8243;</em> ou plutôt <em>&#8220;Mark VIII&#8221;</em>, désignerait donc une nouvelle console <em>Sega </em>!!!</p>
<p>Bien entendu ce ne sont que rumeurs et extrapolations, mais avouez que c&#8217;est assez troublant !</p>
