Here are some photos of the dyshidrotic eczema on my right foot (the injured one) and atopic dermatitis on my arms and legs.
Unfortunately the night before these photos were taken was horrible–I was up all night itching and trying very hard not to scratch but ultimately failing at that…Until that night I was taking Allegra 24 hour allergy pills daily in tandem with Flonase nasal spray by prescription from my allergist. 570 more words
I have experienced eczema flares for several years now and I usually know what to expect. I have exceptionally sensitive skin and many allergies, including an allergy to adhesives, such asthose found on bandages and bandage tape. Therefore any time I get an injury that requires covering I have to resort to old fashioned bandaging with gauze padding, plenty of gauze rolls, etc and I have to make sure that NO adhesive comes in contact with my skin, even through a thin layer of gauze. 2,834 more words
