Two days has gone in this December. I spent my time with watched the movie and went to bed at late in the morning. That would be no surprise if I woke up late and went to the lab late -sorry for many ‘late’ words-. Today was the worst I think since I came here on February. The time goes so fast and it still running in its velocity. Now, I’ve been here for 10 months and I’ve been experienced many things as the first time in my life.

December, the last month of the year, the very most exciting month every year, the moment that maybe I will not forget, the month which I will spend my Christmas in 4 season country, abroad, everything should be exciting. However, I’m so unexcited right now. As you can see I spent my time with nothing, everyday seems to be regret what I’ve been done a day before, but no resolution and I can say I’m lost right now.

I’ve seen other people enthusiasm to welcome this December. They are seemed so excited. I wish I have that too since I really want to have good memories in this month. The memories with a moment that I won’t forget, a moment that will live last long, a moment that change me to the new me with everything in me.

It is cold outside with the wind and the cloudy sky. I wish my heart still in its way, warm me up and push me up to the level that I should be. Give an insight to every reason that coming and passing by.

I’ve welcoming the December with the way that I don’t like but I did. I wish I can recharge myself as soon as possible. Many things will come on my way, many things I’ve chosen to involve, and many things will go and take its way. One thing I want to do is pray, to say thank you God.

Welcome December. I welcome you and waiting how it will be like.

Konkuk in December

What can I say this month? I’m blessed! Yes, I’m blessed!

After facing many troubles and difficulties – even it still remain because that’s would be my life – I’ve been blessed in many things. All of these experiences make me feel better and mold me to be a better man.

So, I would like to tell you about what I’ve been done during this month. It was started from the first week, I had to present in one local conference that I registered before about my research. First of all, I was so depressed about it, even I’ve been prepared for that but still my Prof didn’t like it and told me to make everything seriously. sad..sad..

Then, I couldn’t enjoy that conference even it has some good view to capture by my camera. I tried to smile – it’s fake – because I kept thinking about my research. Also, I became so afraid about what I would face for the next International Conference, one week after. But anyway, I still have to find good things in a worst condition. That’s what I want to say that I’m blessed in every ways and in every case.

Took some pictures and have some quit moment for myself as I always do when facing some bad feeling and similar cases. So, this is it. I’ll display it to you. Some scenes of Yeongpyong resort, where our conference was held, which is also known as a shooting place for a Korean Drama.

One conference done, another is coming. This conference should be the bigger giant because this is an International Conference. I had face two conferences in sequence as my first time for all type of conference. First time for Domestic Conference and first time for International Conference also.

The good thing of this conference is the place when it’s was held. This place is the very famous place in Korea, every people wanna go there and every people talk about it when you talking about travel and sightseeing. This place is Jeju Island (제주). Small island in south part of Korea, has own authority for everything. It’s like one state in United States.

The bad thing before this conference is I don’t have enough result and material to present. On the other hand, our devices for the experiment have some problem and I could not use it for experiment.
So, I collected all the video result from my previous experiment and do some another experiment in different set up and fortunately it’s quite enough for my presentation when I presented it.

The best thing is my Professor glad about it and I am so happy until now. Even when I presented it, I could not answer all the questions so my Professor had to help me to answer it. First International Conference attacked by many questions and realized that I need to study more and more in this field.

Since I was presented in the first day, I could enjoyed and have a big smile in the rest of the conference. I have more information about this field – printed electronic – and became so eagerly want to know more. Happy to have this experiences and I want to share it to you my friend as I always do in this blog.

Since I was so depressed about the preparation for the conference, I didn’t expect to have a good travel and journey in this island. From what I’ve heard, this island is so beautiful and a very good place for travel. Usually, Indonesian guy would compare this island to Bali. But, since I’ve never been in Bali, I could not compare it. So I think from what I’ve heard and from what I’ve seen is this island beautiful. They managed everything good, even a small waterfall – that Indonesia has many kinds of waterfall – can be a good place to relax and to have some fun.

Finally, this is a part what I’ve got in this journey and struggle.

So, I would like to start with the very new thing I have. Last week I got my new camera that I purchased from the internet through my Korean friends help . Finally I bought it without more deep thinking and consideration, because when I do that I becoming very stingy. hahaha… — still a student mind inside–
After saw this and that, compared here and there, analyzed what and how, decided to bought Samsung VLUU WB500 camera. Not a very good one, but acceptable for a student fund like me. hihihi…:D
Just fyi, I was out of money until my salary come. hahahaha… –poor student–

Since I was becoming very lazy and lose heart and passion last week, I was runaway from my lab and went outside to walk around the campus and then went again to Orini. Well, I don’t wanna be alone so I was invited my friend, an East Timor student that study in undergraduate Konkuk University. Therefore I could have some pictures that he took for me.
Oh ya, he has a good camera that he bought last month, better camera quality and style. hiks..hiks..

We got some good picture with his camera and my camera. Since I just got it, I have to practice for setting it and still learning to do that. I will share it, because I want you to know my skill and my talent in this field. hahahaha… –narcissism is coming!!–

I’m so happy that day because I didn’t lose autumn moment with some pictures by my own camera – another reason for buying camera -.

It’s been a long time I think, more than a month I didn’t update my story to you my friend. I am so sorry for that, because I’ve been in tough condition during last month. Even right now, I’m still on that situation or even tougher than last month. But still, I have to survive so I can still do many things that comes. Therefore, when I’m sad I will go to other place, out from office, and refresh my mind and back again to my normal activity. I’d like to tell you about where I will be when I’m sad or my mind full of cases that I have to solve but I can’t.

Last week, I went to this place again. This place is near from our campus and of course it’s also near to our house. I decided to went there because I didn’t knew what should I do that time. Oh ya, that day was the last day for submitted the abstract paper for one international conference. So until that day, I must done my experiment and had to got the result and then I can submit my abstract paper. What a blessed, I finished it and submitted it to the conference. I hope it will be accept by the committee.

So I went to Children Grand Park or orini daegongwon (어린이 대공원). I’ve been there before twice several months ago. I went there again because I wanna take the fountain pictures in the evening with the colors light and take the video. I really wanna do that because previously I took the video, it was disappointed, the video not good and blur. I finally took it. Unfortunately I can not upload it for you because some regulation for this blog or even in Youtube I faced the similar trouble for upload my video. So sad for that. hiks..hiks… So I will upload my picture that I took.

I record one song they played. Even I didn’t understand what was it about, but I felt good because she has a good voice. I think, she is beautiful also. hehehehe…

Another place to go when have some problem and sad situation besides Han River.

Last weekend, I went to Han River again with two other friends. We went there almost 11 pm and hang out around the river until morning around 2 am. We enjoyed our time and we had some good pictures at Han River.
At the beginning, we just wanna take a time after we played soccer that afternoon but when we tried to ride the bicycle, we begun to eagerly wanna go far and far than ever.

Unfortunately, our camera wasn’t work well at the time so some pictures blur and we ran out of idea until we wanna came back to our house. But still we have some good pictures that I can share it to you. Look at the picture and present at that moment became good time for me and thanks God for every chance.
Since I have a bicycle, I am enjoy my time to go around my campus and enjoy my time to go and go again around Han River, my favorite place until now.

Since I was in N-Seoul Tower before and I had some good picture at night, I can say that I like this city at night. I like the lights and the view through the way or water or what else that can make it beautiful to see.
Moreover, I like this city at night especially at summer because the temperature not as hot as day or noon.
As what I said before to every people, I don’t like live in hot place because I have some problem with sweat, my hand and my foot also. So I prefer to live at mountain or live in near the mountain if mountain not exist.

So, you may understand right why I like this city at night.

This time will be the story that you might be really interesting to know and I hope that you can also remember that I ever been there. Even I really want to go there once again to enjoy one spot that I really like and hope that it will happen in the future.

Last week became the first time I went out of Seoul and became the first trip with all our member lab. We went to 강른 (Gangneun) and stay at Konkuk University condo in three days. It’s about 2.5 hours from Seoul through car, and maybe around 3 hours through bus. I was in my lab mate car, we’ve discussed it before few weeks before we depart.

However, I don’t think it’s really workshop because in my opinion workshop has to be more difficult and stressful. This one? not at all. But anyway, I really enjoy it and want to have it again. hihihi…

Three weeks ago, our Professor said that we will have a small workshop there and we will present our recent work and our future work in our lab. So after arrived, we tidy up ourselves and prepared the workshop.
Because we arrived late, we run the workshop in a hurry. Everyone presented their idea for the research, even our Professor also presented what’s he wanna do and imagine about our lab in the future. He presented all the project that we have and explained everything even for the money we have for all project. You wanna know how much is it? It’s quite much and I was so surprised that time.

After finished the workshop, we went out the condo and have dinner together in the restaurant near the beach. We ordered raw fish and soju + beer. You might be guess what happened after that and what situation I’d faced. Its quite similar to my previous experienced.

Second day
I wake up early even I went to bed very lately, around 4 am. I wanna took some sunrise picture with sea background. I got it, but its not really sunrise because we were late several minutes. At least I got some good pictures with ‘my camera’ due to my capability. hihihi…

We spent our time in the beach. We played soccer, ran and escaped to and from the waves, ’sinking’ our lab mate to the sea, and so much more. We really have a good time there. Oh ya, when we played soccer, our Professor also joined the game and we really surprised that he played more than we expected. Good Professor! :-bd.

Third day
The last day we had, I was not on my mood in the morning because maybe I was too tired a day before. Played along day and had a short time to rest. Its become worst because we went to the restaurant that I didn’t wan to for breakfast. I used to have a breakfast with bread and coffee not rice and noddle but I had to order something. So I ordered Nangmyeon (낭몐), noddle with ice. The result was I didn’t like it and I ate that in the morning. I had some stomach problem at that day.

The good moment come when we went to the Odae mountain, I was completely recharged after that. I took some good picture with water stream and I really enjoyed every moment. Unfortunately, we have only one hour there because we had to gathered again for going back to Seoul with another team in Gyeongpo Beach.
I hope I can go again to that place if I have enough money. hehehe…

What kind of thing that you thought might be tell in this story when you read the title? Maybe you know it because I wrote about it before in my older post. Of course, that thing make me excited and I planned it before I did it.
If you remember my previous post about what thing that I wanna buy and what kind activity I wanna do with that. Yeah that’s right.

“BICYCLE and RIDE IT ALONG HAN RIVER”

I just did it tonight. YOSH!!!!!!

I’m so excited even this time was not the first time I went there. Actually this is the third time, but there are two conditions why this one is different from others. The first time I went there with my friend and borrowed bicycle, and she just shown me the place and we did it within 45 minute. So it’s too short and didn’t really enjoyed that. The second time I went there with 3 others friends (4 crazy guys sang Indonesian songs at Han River … hahahaha).
We did it, after long journey searched the bicycles we bought during 4 hours, continued with playing soccer and had dinner together with Ramyeon and bakso. Nyummy~~

So what’s so exciting about this time? Hmmm….

This time, I did it alone with my own bicycle, longer route, and took the pictures. The bicycle I bought is out of my budget range, it’s too expensive but my friends keep telling me to buy it because it’s really good like the new one even it was a second hand. Longer route than we had before and passed more bridge that commonly in Han River. So I really enjoyed every route, even I almost hit other riders . I stopped my bicycle and took the picture with the camera I borrowed from my friend.

Actually, I planned it to do this thing yesterday because I’ve been stuck on something during one week and I just finished it yesterday and repaired it today. So, I put in my mind that I have to go to Han River again so I can really enjoy my time. Beside that, I still have my friend camera that I borrowed before for doing experiments. I have a chance to memorize in pictures and this story.

Oh ya, this afternoon also has a contribution for doing this. My lab mate ‘blamed’ me for braking the experiment equipment which I did not. This situation made me have strong motivation to do my plan and enjoy it.

Finally did it and finally pictured it and tell the story.

This Purpose --- Wedding and Restaurant Ship at Han River

Every time I wanna write the story here, every time I don’t know ho to start it. Because too many stories that I wanna share with you my friends, even maybe that’s not a good story but I wanna make it systematic and structural. So I have to choose which story that I have to tell in one post. I think that will make you comfortable to read it and understand the story and perhaps you also enjoy to read it.

I would like to tell you about the event the I joined 3 weeks ago. It called Soccer Camp for kids. Not an ordinary kids but an orphan kids. Three days camp with joy and happiness.

I joined that camp as volunteer and they assigned me as a coach for one team even I just wanna be assistant coach. Besides I never did that before, I knew that my football skill not really good and I don’t even know how to explain the strategy. However, I did it and I passed also. My team was lost and we just had one draw and one goal. But I had very good experiences with all of the kids in my team. I miss them a lot when I write this story.

They were really nice kids, even sometimes they rebel when the instructor gave the instruction. I think that happened because they wanna accept more attention from others. I hope, even they had lack attention and had lack of opportunities like an ordinary kids, they didn’t lack of love and affections from the peoples who take care of them. I admire them for every happiness and the laugh that they had even on the situation they had. May God bless their way so they will know that they have God who control everything in their lives.

I’m also admire every people in Jerusalem Ministry and every volunteers that held all things for them. You has shown what God’s love is. I thank God for every opportunities I had, knew you all and saw how you show your love in Christ to every kids.

I hope that I will meet them again and perhaps I can do better than before. Because I had a lack when we held that camp, I couldn’t speak Korean. So every time they wanna have conversation with me I always said: “Mollayo” (it means I don’t know). I always tried to understand but still I could not. So I have to improve my Korean so I can talk and have a good conversation with them.

Kalau berbicara masalah meramaikan masjid dan keterlibatan personilnya, aku jadi teringat dengan ceramah ustadz yang kemarin ceramah di Masjid Al Ishlah Sambu saat isra mi’raj, “Acara ini demikian lancar mungkin berkat Remas nya ya?”.
Remas…?? Sontak mendengar kata itu aku dan seorang laki-laki didepanku jadi tercenung dan bertanya-tanya “Benarkah karena Remas? Ada atau tidak ya disini Remas?”.
Remas, Remaja Masjid, bukan yang lain lho ya … hehehe … stop.
Aku alihkan mataku melihat sekeliling jamaah yang hadir, ” Hmm lumayan banyak, ada bapak-bapak, om-om, ibu-ibu, tante-tante dan adik-adik”. Kulihat panitia laki-laki dan perempuan sibuk mengurusi kelancaran acara. Ada yang sibuk menerima tamu, sibuk dengan sound system, sibuk dengan projector dan pengambilan gambar, sibuk membagikan makanan dan permen diiringi nasyid panitia sebelum acara. Tapi ada yang janggal, sesuatu yang belum kutemukan, seperti ada missing link di masjid ini. “Apa ya?”aku jadi bingung.
Waktu menunjukkan pukul 10 pm, waktu paling telat untuk jam tidur anak kecil, “Biarlah aku teruskan mendengar dari rumah”.
Dalam perjalanan pulang kutemukan jawaban atas missing link yang sempat mengganjal tadi.
“Kok duduk-duduk disini Bang, gak masuk aja ke Mesjid? Tuh masih banyak tempat, makanannya juga masih banyak kok”, tanyaku pada mereka remaja-remaja kecil Sambu. “Ah disini aja Mbak. Malu kami kesana”, mereka menjawab serempak.
Degh…!! Jawaban mereka menyentuh hatiku. Adakah panitia atau pengurus masjid atau siapapun itu yang sudah mencoba merangkul mereka, mengisi missing link tadi, link yang hilang, yang menghubungkan anak-anak, remaja, muda dan yang tua, menjawab pertanyaan Ustadz tadi tentang Remas?
Kutatap lagi wajah mereka yang tersenyum malu, duduk diemperan rumah tetangga atau dipinggir kanal sambil mendengarkan ceramah atau entah sambil apa…
“Ahh andai saja…”.

beberapa bulan lalu ada seseorang yang menjadi penyemangat hari2ku,wlpN kenyataannya emg ga kan mungkin untuk menjadi seseorang yang bener2 wajib dan kudu diati. Luar biasa sosoknya bikin pipi merona aja…jgan kan pake PONDs pake Garnier aja lewat.

hahhah bisa aja ya..tp Bener dia menjadi inspirasiku dalam membuat sebuah lagu(jdulnya masih rahasia). Pe sekarang perasaan simpatikku ga berubah melihat dia.

Dan sebuah lagu ini menjadi tembang manis untuknya ^^

How I begin this story? hmmm..
Let me put in when I woke up and began my activities. That day I started my day with woke up late and I was late for one appointment, an experiment with my friend. At the time I woke up, I sent her message in order to delay our experiment one hour.

Preparation done and directly went to the lab. I was text her again, but she didn’t reply my message. Unfortunately, she didn’t show up and she didn’t come to the lab that day. A moment I arrived at lab, she called me and said she has some problem so could not come to the office. So we postponed our experiment until next day morning. I just do the same activities as before. Sit in the chair, working with the computer, searching paper, chatting, and other things.

While I was working at my table, my lab mate told me that that night we would have dinner with Professor due to the new secretary he hired. The dinner would be held in the place that we’ve been there before when we finished our hiking at Acha-san.

I wanna make it simple because the main topic of this story are drink a lot and have strange moment. Shortly, we have dinner at that place. Professor order the foods, it called 삼겹살 – samgyeopsal, food with meat “pork” and onion mixed together. (Actually I can’t explain more because maybe that’s wrong explanation ).
Of course, they order the beer (맥주) and 소주 (soju), the traditional way for Korean to have party or celebration or welcoming party.

So, they gave me the beer and soju. In Korea you can not refuse that, because that’s the way you appreciate your friend. After they gave you soju and beer, you have to do the same things, gave them the beer or soju as well. Except, if the person who gave you is a girl you don’t have to do the same thing. (Why? Dunno.. )

In my experience, I drink just a half cup or maybe a cup but for that night was really out of range. Not because I want it but because they insist me to do that. First cup, I drank a bit, but when I did that my Professor saw it and He ordered me to drink it ‘bottom up’. Fiuh… Please don’t do that Prof, I can’t help it. Order is an order, so I have to drank it ‘bottom up’.

I tried to hide my cup so they would not gave me again. However, it didn’t work at all. They still insist me to drink and drink again.

There are several reason why I don’t wanna drink it a lot. Firstly, I don’t like the taste. Secondly, I don’t wanna get drunk. Thirdly, I don’t wanna become familiar with the taste and I know it will be have many influence in the future. Maybe for that time I was really conscious to did that, but it will become different if I have some troubles in my life and I can’t hold it so I will become very addicted on that.

Based on that reason I tried to tell them and hope they will not give me again, besides I hided my cup, I was begging them with hope they can understand me. However, I can’t and they still gave me the beer and soju. So let me count it for you. I drank 1 glass beer mixed with soju, and more than 7 cups soju even at the fifth cup I tried again to refuse it and said ‘I’m enough’.

At that rate, I realized I can drink more and more. Because my friend told me that nothing happen in my face. Not like them, when they drink the soju their face became red and their eyes became red too. But for me that’s not happened at all, so I think that maybe I have a prospect to be a drinker. I have to stop it and refuse again with miserable face. hehehehe….

So I have one glass and 7 cups.

That was a record too, previously just a half cup or a cup but that day 7 cups, that’s out of range.

After dinner, we knew exactly who had drunk and who had not. So how about me? Had I? No, I’d not, even out of my range.

The party continued with 노래방 and that time I know that my Prof is a good singer for Korean songs but not really good at English songs.
Again, I sang just English songs. I was not lucky when I could not found the song that I wanted to sing.
Party was over after 노래방, everyone went home at 12pm.

You know what is incredible about this story? All this story happened in Monday not Friday night. This story is rarely happened even in the summer vacation. Summer vacation that officially we have but not reality we have.

Dear friend,
Here I come again with my adventure in my new life. As I told yo before in my last post I will come back with another adventure.
Live in a place far far away from our parents, our friends, our beloved one, or our former community, had made think about when we will gonna meet again. So in this part I just gonna describe the words that I always said to the people who celebrate their birthday.

“…Stay healthy and enthusiastic….”

What situation that will make us meet again? Yeah that words!! “health and enthusiasm”. Just think about if we are sick or maybe after our life finished, we will not gonna meet again in this world right?; talk about heaven I hope we will meet there in time:).
Or if we are not enthusiastic in our life it will a little chance to meet. And maybe we don’t wanna meet each other because we are not enthusiastic about meeting friend.

You know, live here in Korea with nobody knows about you, or nobody even ‘care’ about you, sometimes it’s made me feel lonely; Oh, that song running in my head, “lonely…i am lonely, i have nobody..”. (of course we need time to have a friend and ‘family’ here) hehe..
However, stay healthy and enthusiastic also make us want to meet new friends and do our works. I’m working on it right now.

Back to ‘moment we will meet again’, stay healthy and enthusiastic become the priority so we can meet again. Of course we can meet again even we get sick but we don’t want it happened, do we?

So, I decided to say ‘that words’ to everybody who celebrate their birthday with hope that we will meet one day in one place with healthy life and enthusiastic life.

By the way, I almost forgot to tell you where I got that words.
If you really like food and really like ‘kuliner’, you must be know about the guy who always say “stay healthy and enthusiastic so we can taste more food and …… “.
Reasonable right? We can have more if we stay healthy and enthusiastic about what we want to.

Then my friend, in the end of my story I would like to say to you even you are not celebrate your birthday.

“Stay healthy and enthusiastic”
So we can meet again in a great moment and in a happy place with all our hope still remain and will fulfill in time.

It’s me

“Apakah kamu Impala juga?”
“Kamu Impala ya? Kok?”
“Kamu Impala ya? Nim nya berapa? Diklat berapa?”
“Masa sih kamu Impala?”
“Ini Impala-wati juga?”
Semua pertanyaan bernada sama banyak bermunculan di inbox message ataupun chat facebookku. Yaah nada yang sama…meragukanku. Semua kujawab dengan nada yang sama juga, ” Iya mbak, iya mas saya Impala juga junior mas dan mbak dari Diklatsar 18, Nim saya 96410/IMP. Salam kenal ya mbak, mas”. Rata-rata mereka memang seniorku yang dulu mungkin belum sempat mengenalku ketika aku masih aktif. Tapi ada juga sih yang sudah mengenalku tapi masih bertanya seperti itu. Hwiiihhhh….rasanya pengen nangis bombay hehehe…

Semua pertanyaan itu membuatku tercenung memikirkan kenapa mereka terutama para seniorku begitu meragukanku? Sedih juga seh padahal begini-begini aku kan juga AB, Anggota Biasa, suatu jenjang keanggotaan yang tidak semua anggota satu diklat bisa mencapainya. Yaaikss….akukan dah lulus kuliah ya, berarti aku sekarang bukan AB lagi tapi AK, Anggota Kehormatan, kereen… Duwh hampir lupa neh…

IMPALA UNIBRAW, Ikatan Mahasiswa Pencinta Alam Universitas Brawijaya, yang kadang diplesetkan oleh beberapa mahasiswa lain menjadi Ikatan Mahasiswa Paling Lama hehehehe….., kalau untuk ini aku tidak bisa berkata apa-apa deh hehehe…..(pengecualian untuk drku yaaa…).Unit aktifitas mahasiswa ini dulu merupakan yang paling maju, dibanding UKM yang lain dalam ingatan aku ketika aku masih aktif didalamnya, cieee…..ngaku-ngaku neh hehehe.

Dalam sistem keanggotaannya ada 4 jenis anggota, yang pertama AM (Anggota Muda), semua anggota yang lulus diklatsar akan menjadi AM. Yang kedua AB (Anggota Biasa), jenjang keanggotaan hanya untuk AM yang mempunyai kompetensi dan loyalitas yg tinggi yang akan diangkat menjadi AB. Siapa yang akan diangkat menjadi AB ini melalui hasil meeting evaluasi dan seleksi pengurus. Aku inget ketika masih jadi pengurus Impala, untuk menentukan 1 orang AB saja yang akan diangkat, meeting bisa berhari-hari dan bermalam-malam sampai pagi dan tertidur berjejer di ruangan tingkat 3 Impala (ruangan ini sebenarnya atap plafon yg luas dn sudah dimodifikasi bisa untuk sholat, bisa untuk meeting rahasia, bisa untuk istirahat dan bisa untuk tidur, hmmmm nyaman hehehe…ini neh ruangan dalam sekretriat Impala yang ngangenin). Yang ketiga, ALB (anggota Luar Biasa) untuk AB yang drop out dari kuliah. Sampai sekarang akupun gak tahu neh sejarahnya kok sampai dinamakan ALB???. Yang terakhir, keempat (hampir terlupa hehe), AK (anggota kehormatan) diberikan untuk para AB yang telah lulus dari studynya.
Tidak seperti organisasi ataupun unit aktifitas lain, semua anggota Impala ini akan tetap menjadi anggota Impala seumur hidupnya, selama hayat dikandung badan, bahkan sampai mati.

Masih teringat jelas didalam memoriku saat pertama kali mengikuti diklatsar Impala 14 thn yang lalu, thn 1995. Hwaah…ternyata dah lama sekali yak…, gile seperti baru kemarin hehe. Waktu itu aku semester 3. Diawal keikutanku ini ada kenangan meyedihkan yang gak akan terlupakan, Mas Herman (Herman Choirul Rasyid) dan Mas Bona (Bona Ventura Harley), meninggal saat melakukan Ekspedisi Brawijaya Irianjaya menaklukkan Puncak Cartenz di Pegunungan Jayawijaya.
Emmm…yahh aku memang telah mengenal mereka jauh sebelum ikut diklat, mereka suka main ke kostan dan aku suka melihat mereka kalau sedang latihan fisik berlari didepan kost mengitari Brawijaya sambil bercanda. “Persiapan untuk ekspedisi”, kata mereka. Bahkan aku masih ingat bagaimana Mas Herman malam-malam datang ke kost cuma untuk minta maaf barangkali ada dosa sebelum berangkat ke Irianjaya, gak tahu, dia udah feeling atau gimana…..
Mereka awalnya juga gak tahu aku ikutan diklat, tapi akhirnya mereka tahu juga, saat di Irianjaya ada yang contact “Woii….Rizda ikutan diklaaaattt…!!”.

Sedih sekali rasanya waktu itu, apalagi waktu menjemput jenazah mereka di Bandara.
“Doaku selalu untuk kalian temanku… walaupun kita belum sempat bertemu dalam satu organisasi, belum sempat bertemu sebagai sesama anggota Impala tapi kalian ada dihatiku…”.

Yeah, satu semester berlalu meski hanya dilalui dengan 4 bulan berjalan. Hari itu merupakan hari tepat dimana aku menjejakkan kakiku 4 bulan di negeri Ginseng ini. Hari yang cukup kunantikan dengan segala janji yang sudah kubuat setelah tanggal 25.

Okay, let me tell you something about 25th. Two weeks ago my friend asked me to cut my hair and then I said, ” Let’s wait after 25th”. So every time they ask me about my hair I always said after 25th. Another things with 25th is bicycle. About a month ago I really want to buy a bicycle, because I need to be hurry sometime when I wanna go to subway station but I could not because I don’t have a ride; and as my friend said, we can save the energy.
Oh, another purpose for the bicycle is ride the bike along the Han River on Saturday noon; that’s must be amazing. B-)

So what something special with 25th?
I would like to tell you two reasons. Firstly, that day will be the day I get the ’salary’ from my Professor; as a student with scholarship program we always said that as a salary for a month. It’s regularly, but I really wait this time because I have spent more money this month than before. Have more money in the credit card make me more comfortable with my balance account. Secondly, that day will be the fourth month day I left Indonesia; so 26th will be my fourth month live in Seoul. So I really wanna make it special and do something different.
So after 25th I wanna cut my hair, buy a bicycle, etc….etc…..

However, it didn’t work all.
The first thing and the worst, my I didn’t got my salary because my Professor went to Jeju island for the Ink-Jet Printing Conference so he couldn’t transfer it. So I can’t buy a bicycle to have some exercise and go outside ride the bicycle along the Han River.
And that’s it, it’s me only just with new hair cut, not with the money, not with the bicycle nor with ride it along the Han River either.

Yeah, but 26th and the day after become the best ever days in Korea I think – of course after 4 months -. Because in those days I have new experiences I never did before while I was in Indonesia. It’s kind of picky but that’s me a guy from the village.
On 26th my Indonesian friend came to Seoul from Gwangju – 3 hours from Seoul – to present the project that she doing with her Professor. Actually, first time we met was in the internet, but that’s another story.
Shortly, we met with one friend from another university in Korea but she is Indonesian too; With this girl also has another story. hehehe…. You know, live here 4 months have many things to tell but not enough time to tell.

So we met and have dinner together in a restaurant near my campus with Korean food I didn’t like – but I didn’t told them -.
After that we decided to have some interesting activity before midnight, because midnight they have to go home.

This is the Korean word for karaoke. The first time in my life and I did it in Korean. That’s a record!!
First time, accompanied by two girls and got caught as a good singer. So really enjoyed it. =)) =))

Happy time.

In the end of this writing I realized that I have many things after 25th.
