Pe bulevardul Ferdinand, în fața clubului de jazz, oprește limuzină după limuzină. Majordomi îmbrăcați în tunici cu fireturi, înmănușați elegant, deschid portierele la capătul covorului roșu. În toalete de gală, coboară din mașini vipurile lumii noastre și se înșiruie la intrarea în club, făcând semne drăgăstoase către camerele de filmat aflate după cordonul de jandarmi.

- Aia cine-i? întreabă un jurnalist grizonat, cu ochelari cu rame invizibile.

- Care bă, blonda? Aia-i Nuți, ce naiba, nu mai vezi? îi răspunse un altul, deșirat și acneic.

- Nu, mă. Aia ca un cârnat strangulat. Ia uite-o ce duluri are! Și-a mai pus și rochia aia strâmtă, pațachina!

- Alma? Aia-i Președinta Camerei.

- Președinta Cămării, poate vrei să zici! Întuflecă din pricina stressului funcției. Ia uite-o cât e de dolofană! Și ce prezenvativ de piersică sintetică și-a tras pe ea!

- Termină, nu fi … Uite-l și pe Dinu! Ooo! Excelență!.. Ce faceți? Ați venit la expoziție?! strigă el către personajul ce pășea larg spre intrare.

- Mă întâlnesc cu niște amici, să bem o cafea. Pe Felix nu l-ai văzut? se îndreptă, colocvial, impozanta făptură către ziaristul deșirat, dând în laturi blana de la Prada și vădind un smoking violet. În buzunarul de la piept, nelipsita batistă fistichie, așezată cu o neglijență studiată. Cu un gest teatral, ivi încheietura mâinii de sub haină și lăsă pentru câteva secunde vederii tuturor un ceas superb, Constantin Vacheron.

Blitz-urile nu încetau să scânteie în înserarea răcoroasă. Aerul devenise vibrant și concret, ai fi putut să-l tai în felii, dacă te-ai fi gândit. Totul mirosea a parfum, veselie, lipsă de griji, strălucire și nonșalanță.

Pe trotuar își fac apariția patru creaturi jerpelite, în contrast pregnant cu atmosfera generală. Dau să pășească pe covorul roșu, însă doi dintre majordomi îi oprescu gest ferm.

- Dumneavoastră? Unde mergeți? Aici e o manifestare culturală de marcă! Nu puteți intra în halul ăsta!

- Este invitații! răspunse Jim, scotocindu-se în buzunarele jachetei murdare și sfâșiate. Unde am pus la el?… căută nedumerit și în buzunarele adânci până la genunchi ale patalonilor. Poftește! îi băgă el sub nas majordomului celui obraznic o hârtie mototolită de 5 dolari.

- Cred că glumiți, domnu’…

- Hayssam este la mine! Eu pretin cu Dottore! Facut la el donație la campanie mult euro, metru cubic de euro!

- Hayssam! se întoarse Dinu cu jumătate de trup. Ce faci, dom’le? Ce-i cu tine în halul ăsta? îi privi el circumspect.

- Văzut, bre valah puțit! Eu estem bretin la conașul! îl dădu la o parte cu dosul mâinii pe majordom și înaintă. Conu Dinucu… stai sa spuneam. Eu blecat cu balon zburator la egzpediția. Subt acoperit, Negrul Jim, de la roman american. Asta, neghiob mic si cocoșat, care facut figura si bagat la mine la bușcaria, vrut facem adentat. Venit cu șoarece atacat balon și venit fluture de la Gardaresgu și salvat  la ele.

- Băi, ești incoerent rău! Cum să faci un atentat cu șoareci? Șoarecii nu-s zburători! Termină cu prostiile! Delirezi, mon cher!

- Asta nu înțelege, zise dolofanul bărbos, întorcându-se către publicul care se distra răstălmăcind, trunchiind și transmițând informații distorsionate către cei care nu aveau acces direct la discuție. Eu drimit scrisoare. Voi nu pricepe la mine ce vrut să spunem. Îl luă pe Dinu de încheietura cotului și făcu gestul de a-l însoți înăuntru.

- Și cu noi cum rămâne? țipă înalt tânărul cu ochelari, rămas cu companionii lui pe trotuar.

- Voi vine cu vluture. El duce la voi în egzboziția, le aruncă Hayssam, vădit ironic, peste umăr.

- De fapt, noi nici nu vrem să mergem la expoziție… se replie tânărul. Noi vrem să navigăm pe canalele Deltei, acum că pică expediția în balon… Sau mergem pe mare… Tu ce zici, Huck?

- Mi-e frică de mare. Hai mai bine să studiem underground-ul orașului… Să coborâm în tenebrele lui! interveni Tom Sawyer, cu entuziasm.

Șirul de mașini uluitoare continua să oprească și să verse pe mocheta roșie, bridată pe margini cu auriu, toalete și accesorii pe care le poți vedea doar la Cannes. Murmurul general anunța o seară plină de magie. Nevăzut de nimeni, un șoricel cât o brichetă se strecură printre tocurile Christian Louboutin, Valleverde, Betsey Johnson, Gucci, Dino Ventura, Sergio Rossi, Ungaro și, cățărându-se prin blana ale cărei poale ajungeau la covor, se strecură în batista lui Dinu.

If you didn’t know New Moon was released last week you must have been on another planet! Twi-mania is everywhere and it’s a seriously hot topic in my office. Well the Edward Vs Jacob issue is certainly discussed at every opportunity! And with the stars of the film appearing in every magazine under the sun it’s hard to not get talking about the fashion too. (Check out how gorgeous Ashley Green, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz look in December Glamour).

On the Kristen Stewart front its been a little hit and miss. I’m not gonna start on the hair – surely there was something a hairdresser could have done with her Joan Jett mullet but anyway! She’s a gorgeous girl; a bit alternative, likes the rock chick look but finds the whole celeb thing a bit awkward – but that’s cool. This outfit however was not.

What the hell was she thinking? What was her stylist thinking? I know, I know it’s Proenza Schouler but it just isn’t a good look on her! She looks so much edgier in these more body-con numbers and the more feminine shapes are so much more flattering! Get its sorted Kristen.

La prima di New Moon che si è tenuta a New York poteva quasi fare invidia ad una notte degli Oscar per la quantità di attori, modelle, stilisti, cantanti e altre celebrities che vi hanno partecipato. Chiaramente sotto i riflettori vi erano gli attori di New Moon, che si sono presentati super eleganti. Non mancavano di certo Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz e Taylor Lautner, ma come al solito un occhio agli outfit lo dedichiamo alle protagoniste “donne”.

La più attesa era senz’altro Kristen Stewart, che ha sfoggiato un abito Valentino e un paio di decoltè open toe Sergio Rossi con plateau. Capelli raccolti ed occhi in primo piano: finalmente non scivola sul look. Altra star amata dai twilighters è Ashley Greene, che indossa un mini dress D&G. Un outfit costruito tutto sui toni del bianco e nero, con un tocco di rosso sulle labbra: decisamente perfetta.

Attrice non altrettanto amata dai fans della saga è Nikki Reed, che ha scelto invece un abito in raso beige D&G e dei sandali Jimmy Choo. Passiamo ora agli ospiti, perchè a New York non poteva mancare di certo Taylor Momsen. Se gli attori di Twilight hanno preferito togliersi di dosso l’immagine vampiresca, gli ospiti sembravano usciti da un party di Halloween dal tema gotico. Infatti, Taylor indossava un abito Dolce & Gabbana e dei tronchetti neri. Il trucco è nero e pesante intorno agli occhi, con la bocca rosso sangue (non vi ricorda Leighton Meester?).

E tra le modelle ecco Agyness Deyn, con un look gotico, creato grazie a giochi di pizzo e di toni scuri, come il nero ed il blu. Jessica Szohr punta su una camicia bianca ricca di merletti e rouches, abbinata ad una giacca nera e jeans in tinta. Anche gli accessori sono rigorosamente black: borse in vernice e scarpe nere, impreziosite da particolari bianchi.

Red Carpet ricco di star di Gossip Girl, dato che vi era anche Ed Westwick. Mentre tra i cantanti troviamo Fergie e Joan Jett, ormai “madrina” di Kristen.

I really don’t know what’s makes this brand so special?

They are not sophisticated  as  Manolos,

delicated as  Laboutins,

edge as Rossi’s (I have 4 of then already),

or has  Gucci pedigree…

What could be better than a shop filled with designer shoes, chocolate, and Bailey’s Irish Cream? I’m stumped. Bailey’s is sponsoring a pop-up shop in Soho with heels and boots by designers like Sergio Rossi, Farylrobin, and Barbara Bui for only $75. The proceeds benefit the nonprofit Clothes Off Your Back, which hosts charity auctions showcasing celebrity attire.

The store is filled with smooth suede couches and red-ribboned bottles of Bailey’s as decor. Open 11am-7pm through tomorrow, the pop-up is located at 421 West Broadway, and is an excellent way to get discount designer shoes while helping out a good cause.

Normally pop-up shop openings are omitted from Editorial Pursuits, but being that a liquor brand is jumping onto the pop-up shop bandwagon, I was stunned and suddenly the memories and animosity toward the kid in high school who dressed, acted and talked like me clouded my mind. But I realized that I had jumped the gun upon noticing “charity” proceeding “Pop-up Shop” and the ill feelings were melted away.

In the name of charity, Baileys Irish Cream will be retailing cream colored Casadei, L.A.M.B and Sergio Rossi for $75 from Nov. 11 until Nov. 13 at Robertson Boulevard, L.A. The bargain is a steal and should subdue that guilty conscience. Proceeds go to Clothes off Our Backs.

Baileys Irish Cream has declared that they’re two sure things that make a holiday get-together irresistible — amazing party shoes and a delicious drink. (They’re probably right!)

And to celebrate the season,  the Baileys Holiday Shoe Collection of Baileys-inspired designs will be auctioned online to benefit Clothes Off Our Back.

Christopher Columbus Statue in Central Park

Over a million spectators are expected to attend the 65th Annual Culumbus Day Parade on Fifth Avenue (from 44th to 79th streets) today from 11:30am-3pm. This year, Home Depot Co-founder Kenneth G. Langone will be leading the crowd as grand marshall. If you don’t feel like fighting the crowds, or parades simply aren’t your thing, I have a few other ideas for ways to celebrate the  Italian founder of our country.

Besides celebrating the man Christopher Columbus, today is also a celebration of the Italian culture and all that it has to offer. What better way to celebrate than splurging on some Italian shoes? For the best stiletto selection, head down to Soho to Sergio Rossi. Much of their Fall collection includes styles with beading, metallic details, and also classic suede. The shop also has men’s styles, with high-quality leather loafers and moccasins.

After shoe shopping, you are bound to need some sustenance. This ad is for a pair of Sergio Rossi beige suede pointed court shoes with stud strap detail, in size 38.

As you’d expect from Sergio Rossi, these shoes are superb quality and will look fantastic with both formal and casual wardrobes.

The shoes have only been worn on a couple of occasions and are in great condition, but they do have some markings to the suede on the side (which will come out with a suede brush/ shampoo) and on the sole from wear, but nothing major. Please take the time to look at all the photographs, as these form part of the description and I have tried to show the shoes from every angle, along with their defects, so you can see exactly what you are buying.

I bought these new for over £200, but am letting them go for just £40 (plus postage), which is a real steal!

Annoyingly, the original Sergio Rossi box went missing in our recent house move, but they will come to you wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in their dust bag, carefully packed in protective packaging to keep them safe in the post.
