It’s been a while since I have professed my undying affection for a particular clothing line here in Second Life and now without further ado this post will pay respect to ~silent sparrow~.

When I first rezzed in-world in July 2007, I knew I wanted to find gothic attire because I consider myself to be somewhat gothic in real life. One of the first stores I came across was ~silent sparrow~. As I walked throughout the store I was mesmerized by all the attire and the detail in the clothing but like every noob I had no money to purchase these fine items. Luckily for me there were plenty of camping areas and I somehow managed to win events at a few clubs. I had clicked the “join silent sparrow group” sign and within a couple days I had received my group invite. When I finally had enough money to buy the outfit I had been eying I was lucky enough that Hya was having a sale so I was able to get 2 outfits for the price of one. I wore those outfits so often. I don’t think you can get these outfits any longer since they were placed in the retirement room sometime last year lol.

Anyways I have always been mesmerized by Hya’s clothing line and I have been an avid follower of her store for 2 years in SL. I have had the luxury of meeting her and she is by far one of the kindest designers in SL. Her designs are so intricate and very ornate. You can always tell she puts in so much time into her creations and that her group is filled with a wide array of adoring fans of her creations. At all of her sparrow parties you can see how diverse her store customer population is and how we all come together for one reason, for the love of Hyasynth Tiramusu’s designs.

Hya’s recent release is named after one of her dear friends, Severina Dollinger. Many of us know her as the lovely designer behind the intricate and ornate footwear “First Flower”. A couple weeks ago the Severina suite was released in noir and blood. Which I totally took a ninja pic of Hya and Allegory below. I’m wearing the Blood version and Hya and Allegory are wearing the noir versions. Hya and I are wearing the doll skirts and Allegory is wearing the bustle skirt.

As of today, Hya has totally surprised many of us with the release of Severina Suite in a few more colors. And OMG yes there is a purple version. In the picture below you will see me wearing the Severina Suite in Iris. The outfit comes with a dolly skirt, bustle skirt, 2 versions of the top (with or without lace details, shorties, bloomers, stockings, and lace sleeves. Like always Hya has made multiple layers of this outfit so that you can mix and match it with other silent sparrow attire or you can wear your own tattoos underneath. In the picture below I’m wearing one of the hairs available at Schadenfreude. I recommend you go and check out the hair available at Schadenfreude and if you can afford the fatpack you should get it. In my opinion the fatpack is actually the best option. You get infinite hair dyeing possibilities. And I had so much fun dyeing my hair lol.

Conhecemos milhares de pessoas ao longo de nossas vidas. Em momentos felizes, em momentos tristes. No trabalho, na faculdade, na vizinhança, nos mais diversos lugares.

Fernanda descobriu que a copeira Nena, que trabalha no escritório onde ela é assistente de eventos, tinha uma irmã que estava na Alemanha  e que fazia 30 anos que nem ela e nem família tinham notícias.

Fernanda e eu estamos cursando jornalismo na UniSant’Anna, e Fernanda colocou em prova sua vocação. Movida pela curiosidade e a vontade de ajudar a encontrar Severina, ela pesquisou na internet e localizou um contato na Alemanha que poderia dizer o paradeiro e dar notícias a família.

Onde quero chegar com isso? Como eu já te disse Fe, a Nena teve a sorte de contar a história para uma jornalista de verdade, que soube reconhecer num relato uma grande história, que poderia não só render muitos pontos no ibope, mas que antes de tudo acalmaria um coração de mãe aflito e traria a felicidade para uma família que a tempos esperava receber notícias de Severina.

Quella che vedete sopra si chiama Rebeka Dremelj ed è stata miss Slovenia nel 2001, prima di darsi (purtroppo per le nostre orecchie) alla canzone. “Hevay weather” è la versione inglese del brano che ha portato all’Eurofestival in rappresentanza del suo paese quest’anno. Quella originale sta qui ma ne esite anche una in spagnolo, ed una in croato. In ogni caso motivetto carino ma sul fatto che lei non sappia cantare non ci sono dubbi.

Cose migliori negli anni passati. Di Alenka Gotar, protagonista nel 2007 abbiamo già parlato, nel 2006 invece si è presentato Anzej Dezan con “Mr Nobody”, tra i pochi a scegliere la lingua inglese. Gradevole anche “Stop” di Omar Naber del 2005.

Fuori dal panorama festivaliero, proprio di recente abbiamo dedicato un post a parte alla migliore del lotto, vale a dire la cantautrice e pianista Neisha, ma vale la pena di segnalare anche Nina Osenar e i suoni pop-rock della sua “Moments like this” e quelli decisamente più rock di Alya (qui c’è “Zvezda vecera“). Cose buone anche dalle band: qui potete ascoltare i Select con “U La la (que sera sera)” mentre se amate la dance ed i personaggi curiosi, allora non potete perdervi Salome, prorompente transessuale ed il suo disco d’esordio “Igra grame“.

Molto più legata al folk la Croazia, che tende a privilegiare artisti che cantano nella ligua locale. Ma quello che passano sulla scena internazionale è straordinario. Ascoltate per esempio il tango scratchato dei Kraljevi Ulice ft 75 Cent, una street band che quest’anno era sul palco dell’Eurofestival: “Romanca” mette un sacco di allegria. Nel 2006 si ballava una sorta di saltarello balcanico con Severina e la sua “Moja Stikla” (Tacchi alti). Qui c’è invece il nuovo “Gas gas“. Suoni più rock nel 2007 con Dragonfly ft Dado Topic e “Vjerujem u ljubav” e più pop nel 2005 per la ballata “Vukovi umiro sani” di Boris Novkovic ft Lado Members.

Fuori dall’Eurofestival, la Croazia sa anche essere molto rock come testimoniano Ivana Banfic con la sua “I bio je red” o Antonja Sola con “Nebu pod oblak“; oppure anche di qualità come la musica dei Prijavo Kazaliste (qui c’è “Moj bjeli labude“) o di Arsen Dedic, di cui in questi giorni è uscito il nuovo singolo, intitolato “Pedra”.

Grande protagonista sul palco dell’Eurofestival anche la Bosnia Erzegovina. Quest’anno c’era la sofisticatissima “Pokusaj” di Laka, della quale esiste anche una versione in inglese. Molto bella la ballata del 2007 di Marija Sestic “Rijeka bez imena” (in serbo e croato) che in inglese diventa “Never wake me up”. Nel 2006 gli Hari Mata Hari cantavano “Lejla” mentre nel 2005 il trio femminile Femminem, creato per l’occasione cantava “Call me”.

Se vi piace l’hip hop, sappiate che si può fare anche in lingue strane come il bosniaco. Ascoltate “Firma ilegal” degli Ekipa. E mentre non è possibile dimenticare il grandissimo Goran Bregovic, maestro di tutto il folk balcanico (abbiamo scelto un brano per tutti “Karmen with a happy end“) meritano una citazione anche gli Indexi (qui c’è “Balada”). E a estética da fome ainda dá frutos interessantes. Mesmo com o (inevitável) olhar classe média, o JC tem lançado uns especiais super bem feitos, de uma espécie de jornalismo que é rara de se ver nos jornais atuais – e normalmente não se vê nem em tantos semanários. Entre os últimos, o imperdível é o caderno Vidas Invisíveis, publicado no último domingo (há uma semana), que apresenta fotos muito boas (e que, aliás, valem a reportagem). Infelizmente não dá pra encontrá-las em tamanho grande na Internet, mas aqui vão duas estratégicas – que eu recomendo que depois sejam vistas no verdadeiro cadernão de jornal.
