I’ve brought my very old Elna Lotus sewing machine back into service. It’s portable, reliable and stitches like a dream. It was my Mum’s machine and I even took my O-level exams on it – yes, I got an A in Dressmaking! How long ago is that? Don’t ask!!!

I’m really enjoying piecing this quilt – soft colours, beautiful fabrics a great view of the garden with Flora quacking and splashing in the pond, and a collie or two at my feet.

This is what all Friday afternoons should be about – rest and relaxation to get into the mood for the weekend!

Have a great weekend whatever you’re up to.

Flora is 11 weeks old … and she loves a bit of sunshine! She’s cleared all the duckweed

Flora is 11 weeks old …

and she loves a bit of sunshine! She’s cleared all the duckweed out of the ponds and spends longer each day grubbing around under the trees and shrubs. She’s frequently to be found in a sunny spot alongside the pond, having a nap with her beak tucked under one of her wings. She’s totally unfazed by our younger collie, Bluebell …

Either she thinks that she’s a collie, or that the collies are ducks! They’re all black and white so I can sort of understand her confusion. Yesterday she spent the entire evening with us on the patio, paddling in the puddle from a split in the hose. The pond needed topping up – as you can see from our bare patches of grass, we’re not into sprinklers – it all grows back once the rain returns.

We can’t trust Mistletoe with her, so she watches through the kitchen doors but Flora is fascinated and stands a couple of inches the other side of the glass, just teasing her.

I’ve been thinking about making another quilt for a while and today I did some cutting out and piecing. Here’s a taste of what’s to come …

There’s Colefax & Fowler floral fabric. Susie Watson cotton, beautiful Toile de Jouy and what looks red in this picture is in fact cerise pink mohair! I haven’t made a quilt for years and years and this evening, I rediscovered my little old Elna Lotus machine – just perfect for stitching in the evening sunshine on the patio!

I love sunny days and summer evenings …

I posted my Projects in the Pipeline, earlier last week and finally got ‘stuck in’!

From yards of fabric, bundles of yarn and a charity shop candlestick …

To a patchwork, country-style table centre piece!

That was fun!

Lots of glue – I’d forgotten how satisfying it is to pick off your fingers when you finish! A favourite piece of patchwork printed cotton and there you have it – a transformation – hope you’ll agree?

Remember this from last week? Well now look, see what’s happened to it …

Perfect to pretty-up a favourite chair or bedroom. The pom poms add texture and height and the back is crisp pink and white heavyweight gingham all reef knotted up!

And then some purses and a glasses case …

With pretty insides …

They look like little birds in the nest with their beaks wide open – just waiting for the pennies to drop in!

This ivory fabric is fabulous – a heavily textured, quilted cotton. I’ll be using it again soon and have so many ideas about how to put it to the best use. I wanted to try it on a smaller project first and teamed it with this scarlet poppy cotton print to make a jolly case for specs!

And, although not completed yet, I wanted to show you my progress with a different crochet hexagon – with a flower in the centre …

These are very simple to crochet but covering a whole cushion still takes a while. I’ve kept to a palette of 5 colours and it never ceases to amaze me how the pattern appears to be so different with the changes in colour combinations.

And finally …

I spotted this on a wall in Monmouth last weekend and reckon that this is what we could all do with …

a bit of support for our home industries! Isn’t that lovely?

Check out the others on Wendy’s 1st Unique Gifts blog. Have a good week everyone …

The boys have left home again, temporarily I suspect, but nevertheless there’s no sleeping in the studio at the moment. Where shall I start?

All those wonderful wools from Barnstable, Hereford and Monmouth! Wools from Wales and cottons from Susie Watson! I’ve added bobbles to the hexagonal crochet panel, all ready to put onto a cushion – but what shall I use for the base fabric? Just trying it here with a natural linen, but I think that a pink or deep lilac wool may be best – decisions, decisions!

And then there’s the notelets that I bought from Hanmade in Presteigne – I really must write a few notes to people. There’s the dogs to walk and the duck to talk to (Flora and I spend a while each day together – she quacks at me and listens intently when I talk to her).

I dare not go into town because every shop has a fabric sale (I only notice fabric shops) – it’s dangerous out there.

So much to do, I’d better have a sit down with a cuppa to decide what comes first …

and I do miss you when you’re not here, boys – really I do!

Everyone’s having busy weeks at this time of year. There’s so much to fit in – tr

Everyone’s having busy weeks at this time of year. There’s so much to fit in – trips to the seaside, weddings, visits to friends and family. There’s been no exception here. Two of our great hulking lads are home from university and they’ve taken over the house & emptied the fridge! And one is sleeping (there’s a lot of that going on), surrounded by fabrics and cushions, in MY sewing studio ! It looks like a very comfy bed indeed!

We escaped for the weekend and I discovered some lovely wool shops in the Welsh borders! Went away with one bag of clothes and returned with four bags of wool!

This is wonderful wool – Debbie Bliss super merino 4-ply! Don’t think I’ve made crochet hexagons before so will have fun putting this onto a cushion cover.

Just before we were invaded at the end of last week, I finally decided that I’d had enough of my extremely pretty, and totally impracticable Cath Kidston pin cushion. It topples over, the felt doesn’t like pins on the top etc etc (sorry CK, but it’s designed for someone with a beautiful sewing room who doesn’t do much sewing)! I’d seen a square pin cushion on somebody’s blog, and can’t now find it to give them a mention – sorry – but have added a twist that will make my life easier. Does anybody else lose their needles into the pin cushion?

So now I have no excuses for losing my needles and I needed a bit of fun before the family returned, so for old times sake … have a listen to this to put you in the mood for making – think we should have a theme tune for Wendy’s Handmade Monday each week and I just love Tom Petty!

Thanks Wendy – here’s the link to her blog, so you can catch up with what everyone else has been making!

Love, Love, Love
Love is all you need

Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep

Stained Glass window – in wool!

Thought you may like to see some cushions that I worked on a while ago. To tell the truth, I’d put them somewhere so safe in a sealed tub under the bed, that I’d forgotten all about them! I gave another Love Love Love to some newly weds for Christmas last year and have made countless Chirpy Chickens – all hand-felted and fun!

So it’s a return to my first love this week – WOOLs. The Stained Glass panel cushion combines knitting on very slim needles with hand spun and hand dyed Shetland wool mounted onto a Welsh lambswool panel of finest weave. The base for all 3 cushions is vintage wool. I may just get back into Folksy and put them up for sale – watch this space.

Hope you all enjoy your Monday. I’ve returned from Wales (see blog post below) and am, as ever, both sorry to leave and pleased to be home. What a welcome home – all that quacking and tail-wagging – and that was just the duck!

Thank you to Wendy at 1st Unique Gifts for another trip through my sewing room on Monday …

Hope to meet up again next week.

Another week, another venture into my studio at home – which used to be The Boys’ Room

Another week, another venture into my studio at home – which used to be The Boys’ Room – with their bunk beds, lego, action men, remote control cars and a hideous number of odd socks!

Now there are silks and wools, linens, vintage cloths and cottons, threads, yarns and skeins of wool all awaiting the magic snip of scissors, whirr of machine and sometimes just the waves of classical music as take up my needles for some knitting or hand-sewing. But there are other pieces – some inherited, some rescued – that make my room special …

The little wooden chap playing a tune while he keeps my sketch and pattern books tidy … and below a stack of fabrics …

I keep bits and bobs nearby – Aunt B’s tea caddy, a flight of china swans for bobbins (2 more have flown in from Tavistock to keep the pink Helston swan company, an egg basket of reels – insignificant on their own, but as I sit and sew fleeting memories of people and places are commonplace as I use these treasured possessions.

For Handmade Monday, I’ve chosen a bag as my special piece – Nellie (all bags have names, you know) …

and Nellie is the bag I’ve chosen for me, to see me through the summer. Vintage linen, vintage buttons, apple blossom on the inside and a reminder every time I use it, of the room where it was made! One of my favourite places in the world – a special room in my home.

They nestle beneath the rolling hills and look so cosy together – a pair of country cottages. Maybe a farmhouse with a quirky niche retreat attached? Who lives here, surrounded by all those rolling meadows? A family, a loving couple, an artist or author? I’d need a couple of dogs if I lived here, our border collies would do just fine.

The pink-roofed holiday cottage would be ideal for the children or friends who may be visiting. That way we could enjoy our own space as well as time together – long walks up to the top of the hill, to stand beneath the little copse of trees and enjoy the view for miles – our own little home far below in the sunshine!

The realms of fantasy …

What’s a cushion for, if not to snuggle up to, and dream a little?

Lucille’s a handful of feathers, with a sharp little beak, beady eyes and lots of fluster and bustle. In other words she’s a chicken!

Here she is, inquisitive and engaging – hoping for scraps maybe, or watchful of her friends in the flock to make sure that they’re not doing anything naughty! I think she’s a bossy bird, very sure of herself and her position at the top of the pecking order!

Flora is rather different. As you may know of my own Flora, my rescued duckling who’s almost full grown, ducks have personality in pond-loads! Flora makes her feelings absolutely clear – when she doesn’t want to return to her run and playpen, after the freedom of the garden pond or when the next serving of duck food and scraps is a little later than normal!

So here are my Handmade Monday cushions. I love this project – starts the week with a lovely creative meeting and buzz. Thank you Wendy
http://www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/blog/

So folks – say Hello to Lucille and Flora!

and here’s the real Flora, enjoying the pond …

Oops – headless duck!

That’s better Flora – who’s a pretty girl then? Read how we found her ‘Flora Puddleduck‘.

And not a calorie in sight – how delicious!

I’ve been busy this evening, playing with some freehand embroidery and luscious fabrics. It’s the Alton Craft Market on Saturday so I always like to make some new items to replenish my stock. These cupcakes are posh ones though …

they sit on a vintage glass tazza!

I love this linen background fabric. I bought miles of it a while ago and it is SO versatile! Looks lovely teamed up with the pink wool and yummy cakes all topped with swirls of icing and a cherry!

Don’t forget to pop back on Friday for a sneaky preview of some other new stock and do come along and visit me and the others in Alton on Saturday. The Farmers Market will be there, so lots of plants, homemade cakes along with all the usual fresh fruit, meat and vegetable stalls. It promises to be a busy day.

If you went down to the woods today, you may have seen some secretive deer, camouflaged against the leafy shadows. They may even have been red deer, but I doubt they were red polka dot deer!

I wanted to capture the watchful patience of the doe with her pretty ears and dainty nose and the curiosity of her fawn, reaching up to sniff and maybe taste the woodland flowers.

So, here’s my Handmade Monday cushion …

Freehand embroidery, Welsh wool leaves, polka dot deer, Susie Watson fabric and vintage buttons – a perfect surprise from a woven woodland!

What fun – must surf through the other blogs to see what other people have made. I like Handmade Mondays!

I’m meant to be frantically creating bags for this weekend’s fair in Alton, but baby ducklings to take up a lot of time! Flora has to be stroked and taken for some exercise around the kitchen (she scoots around following my feet without her’s even touching the ground it appears), a quick swim in the sink and then a warm towel to dry her off! Then she’s whisked off down to her playpen under the apple trees for an hour or so before having another walk, some tasty treats and back to her box for a nap – each step interspersed with a cuddle!

I really must get down to some serious sewing, so photos tomorrow!

You’ve been loving the handbags that I’ve been making recently, so I decided to make ano

You’ve been loving the handbags that I’ve been making recently, so I decided to make another ‘bag for me’!

When I designed the handbags, as I’ve said to many of you, I designed a bag that worked for me – pockets, secure clasp, key clasp and very, very pretty! Well, I was just popping out the other day and I couldn’t find my shopping bag, besides which it’s rather large. So – you’ve guessed it – I made one!

Ok – just checking you’re concentrating – I made two!!!

As always, the design took a bit of time and the sizes are a bit variable at the moment until I’m sure the pattern is just right, but I’m really pleased with them. I’m keeping these two ‘cos I used them both yesterday! I packed our picnic into the larger one, when we explored the bluebell woods in Dorset.

We heard the cuckoo too – a magical day out!

A cuckoo’s call in May is worth a load of hay, and then in June he’ll change his tune, and then he’ll fly away!

It’s more turning out than cleaning at the moment. I’ve embarked upon a major project – the reclamation of my summerhouse sewing room. It’s been a wonderfully warm day here in Winchester, with wall-to-wall sunshine and just right for drying on the line.

I found so many pieces of fabrics that I’d long forgotten! So a quick freshen up in the machine, and then out to dry in the garden, in the sunshine.

Aren’t they pretty? They’ve been safely stashed away ‘cos I’m not sure what to make with them! The Cilla print will always remind me of a very special, very British, very elderly relation of my mothers – they were her curtains and she told me that she bought a whole bolt of the fabric many, many years ago and kept it for a long while before deciding what to use it for – these things must run in the family then!

I’m not sure I can bear to cut them up but don’t have anywhere to hang them either. What a dilemma – should I sell them for somebody else to enjoy? Decisions, decisions – knowing me, they’ll be here for many more years until I have a flash of inspiration.

I’ve been asked to make some purses to go with my bags – so am working on a design for these at the moment too! So much to do, so little time!

Lovely to meet new people and old friends on Sunday in Winchester. Thank you for the brilliant feedback, I’m so pleased you like my textile work.

Go on … I’m not the only one who charges around the house – as others wait, preten

Go on … I’m not the only one who charges around the house – as others wait, pretending to be patient – while I search under coats, behind doors and on chairs – to find that elusive necessity – my handbag!

Having made several handbags a few weeks ago, and having sold them all, bar 2 which remain safely tucked up awaiting my next show, I explored my stash of wools in the week, but felt drawn to some linen that I bought in Bath a while ago. What about linen handbags for the sunnier days of spring and summer? What could I use with the linen to give the bags a personal touch? As I looked around my fabric store, I happened upon some of my favourites at the moment, the hand-embroidered pieces. Many stained and having lived for decades, I suspect, in long-forgotten airing cupboards, I love reusing the best bits and have included pieces on teacosies and the romantic vintage brooches over the past few months. This is what I love about creating and making – what do I feel like making, which fabrics are appealing to me on a particular day, what will I do with them?

What do you think of these?

They are the same design as my wool bags, tweaked in places to fit a piece of embroidery. So many of you raved over them last Sunday in Winchester and I think that I’ve discovered the secret of successful design. I designed a bag for me.

I wanted a bag that would fit snugly over my shoulder as well as over my arm; a secure bag – with a magnetic clasp; a clip for my keys which are always getting lost; a pocket so my pens would stand up; a pocket for a notebook – an absolute necessity; a pocket for my mobile phone – another absolute necessity; a bag that would stand up on its own and finally a bag that would expand to fit the bits and bobs that I always end up with, when I’ve only popped out to buy some stamps! Now, this isn’t a shopping bag so it won’t hold cartons of milk and bags of sugar – at least it’s not been designed for those, but it will hold the odd irresistible ball of wool or a small piece of vintage china from a charity shop! And …

it has to be deliciously pretty inside!

A bag should have an identity and make you feel good whenever you pick it up and open it. That’s why I’ve given them all names!

So next time I can’t find my bag, I’ll be saying ‘Where’s Melanie … or Cherie … or Carnation?’ Which will undoubtedly lead to much confusion for those waiting outside, ever so patiently! I haven’t decided which one to keep yet, so I don’t know quite who I’ll be looking for either!

Back to the sewing room …

Do you remember the Teddy Bear pattern that I bought in a charity shop a few weeks ago? Well, it ‘s taken me a while to get around to choosing the fabric and getting to grips with the pattern – and then …

I found that I just loved making little bears!

I’ve mostly been using the good bits of old embroidered linen tray and tea cloths. It’s lovely to see these well-folded, and in some cases, well-loved, linens breath again. Hopefully the bears will live on a dressing table or pillow so the stitches and wonderful colours can be enjoyed again. The green and apple blossom bear is an exception, but I just love this fabric! Each little bear has his (or her) own individual character, despite being made from the same pattern. I’ll have to give them names now. What do you think for this one?

and this one?

He (above picture) didn’t make it into the photo of all the bears. He must have been picking his posy of flowers or hiding in the buttercups!

Now come along – don’t be shy …

That’s perfect! Sit up straight and hold tight to your posy of flowers. Straighten up your ribbon and all of you now …

“SAY CHEESE!”

I’ve been a bit quiet for the last week – a bit of a bug going around I think. But over the weekend, I began to feel a bit more energetic and I had the opportunity to spend some time in the sewing room. I’ve been making bags and brooches for the last few weeks, but I’d been thinking about how to include some of the brooch collage techniques into larger items. And here are some of the results …

I’m really pleased with these and keep lining them up and trying to decide whether I should keep one of them. The difficulty is choosing which one! I’ll just have to make a cuppa with a teabag in a cup while I decide!

More fair bookings coming up too – just deciding which dates to do in Winchester and I’ve been invited to an Alresford fair in November too, so lots going on – decisions, decisions!

Definitely time for a cuppa before taking the collies out to terrorise the local canine population up at the farm.

I’ve been using my new bag for the last couple of weeks and the design is just brilliant. I made mine with a pocket for my mobile and a full-width pocket which I divided in half. I keep 2 notebooks for different purposes, for my work and they fit perfectly – 1 into each pocket in my bag! Life has never been so organised! It’s wonderful what a difference a well-designed accessory can make to one’s working life!

A couple of years ago one of my customers gave me a huge bag of her mother’s embroidered tray cloths, lace and off-cuts. In return, I made her a cushion from some of her favourite pieces, but she was quite insistent that the others were used to create some pretty things that others could enjoy. I’ve used the lace and some of the embroidery in the past, as embellishments on hanging hearts and keyrings, but in the last week I’ve been having lots of fun making some Springtime Brooches.

Aren’t they pretty? I’m making the most of my supa-dupa embroidery machine to make the little ‘tokens’ and also using up of my stash of wonderful vintage buttons. I bought a huge tin of buttons many years ago in a charity sale, and I don’t think I’ll ever use them all! They are a wonderful resource though – such excitement when rummaging through handfuls, never knowing quite what’s going to turn up and look perfect for the next project.

So – bags of energy, bags of style and bags under the eyes! What a way to have fun!

Do you ever have those conversations when talking about entirely different things? We had one today – “It’s a grey day” – or “It’s a Grade A” – I didn’t have a clue what he was on about! It has been a grey day – we decided that the sky could truly be described as grey and leaden. There was a some moisture in the air but not sufficient to warrant a good waterproof hat, just one that minimised the risk of frizzy hair!

A perfect day for doing a bit of sewing …

Now here are some possible contenders for the next project – but what will it be?

Which one will feel just right and fit my mood?

The grey herringbone, even though the least colourful of the stack, just felt as though it was today’s project-in-waiting.

I love all the special bits and bobs around my sewing desk – here are a few …

An ex-window display of beads – so tempting! Aunt B’s old tea caddy – I used to love having tea and cakes with her. My egg basket full of reels and finally pin cushions galore along with sparkly beads and old lace! I love long pins with pretty coloured pinheads. Some of mine have flowers and hearts on them and they’re LONG – perfect for layers of wool.

I had a project in mind, so sketched it out and then set about cutting a pattern. I reuse fairly firm plastic bags for patterns. At least they’re being recycled! My cushions are sealed in these when I buy them, and I find they can be reused time after time and although they’re a bit slippery, a handful of pins usually does the trick!

Well, what do you know? The grey, leaden herringbone when teamed up with a jaunty candy stripe took on a new lease of life!

T’rar rarrrrrrr (difficult to do a drum-roll in text) …

Is it a bird, is it a plane …

No ……. T’rrrrrr … It’s a bag!

So – a grey day and a Grade A bag!

It’s tricky taking photos of the inside of a bag but this one has a pocket for my mobile, two padded pockets for notebooks and a clip so I don’t lose my keys – again! The amazing mirrored flower was chopped and has been recycled from one of my daughter’s cast-off necklaces and I’m feeling really pleased! I shall take this one to work tomorrow to see what my friends think! Just time to cut another one out tonight …

A pattern, from the French ‘patron’, is a theme of recurring images, events or objects and most of us are surrounded by patterns in our everyday lives. The tiles in the bathroom are probably in a pattern, even if the tiles themselves are plain. The bricks in our houses, the designs on our plates, our clothes – I’ve just looked around me and have stopped counting at 100 patterns! Admittedly I’m in my sewing room and have loads of fabrics – paisley patterns, woven patterns, spotty patterns, tiny patterns, nordic patterns, stripes and florals – all about, and despite the plain colours I’m wearing at the moment, my knitted cardi has a pattern in the stitches!

I bought a sewing pattern the other day and can’t describe the feeling as I opened it up and withdrew the printed tissue paper … PURE NOSTALGIA …

A well-loved teddy bear pattern!

I usually cut my own paper patterns for the cushions and teacosies that I make. I haven’t used a sewing pattern for years, but I couldn’t resist this little chap as I rummaged through a charity tub at the weekend. The previous owner had only cut out his waistcoat, so I painstakingly cut out the tissue for the little bear and am looking forward to a free couple of hours (I wish) to choose his cloth and get to work.

Shall I make him in plain cloth and create a traditional little bear, or shall I make a patterned bear? Who’s he for – well me of course – unless my daughter fancies him and takes him to live with her!

Take a few minutes to count how many patterns you can see from where you’re sitting.

I was just about to take a snap of my groaning shelf of fabrics, but the camera’s out of battery, so I’ll call it a day! Time to do some cutting-out maybe?

I love vintage printed fabric. There are many books and websites dedicated to fabric prints, illust

I love vintage printed fabric. There are many books and websites dedicated to fabric prints, illustrating the wide range, from detailed and exotic designs to everyday simplicity that could be found hanging up at windows and used in the kitchens and parlours of very ordinary homes.

I’ve chosen two of my favourites for you today …

Red flower, cotton print

I bought this at our local car-boot sale some years ago. They were made up as kitchen curtains and had leaded weights in the corners to keep them hanging straight! I love the simplicity of the design and the way the black dot doesn’t quite fill the centre of the flower. I don’t know whether this is intended, but I think it adds to the charming character of this very simple printed pattern.

Here’s another favourite …

Lovely pink rosebuds on soft blue

This fabric is satinised - quite shiny on the right side. I found it again, either at a car boot sale or in a charity shop. I’ve used snippets for this and that over the last couple of years but then I found it, quite by accident, on a website specialising in vintage printed fabric and was astonished at the price! Now I’m in a quandary - shall I continue to use it, or save it for … what?

Some of my favourite vintage prints are ’barkcloth’. This fabric is a cotton and usually slightly textured like tree bark. In the 1940′s and 1950′s it was very cheap and so was often used in ordinary homes to make curtains, drapery and upholstery. Because it was quite cheap and not very good quality, much of it has been lost, but it’s still possible to find good pieces if you know what you’re looking for. Here are two of my favourites – the first was hanging as curtains in an empty house where the owner left them for us; the second is a scrap that I found in an elderly relative’s remnant box.

Barkcloth curtains from No 48

Barkcloth from Aunt B

What soft colours and such pretty old-fashioned patterns, printed onto rather rough and ‘flawed’ woven cotton. I’m glad they’ve survived. I’m going to use some of the barkcloth to cover a couple of cushions for my sewing room.

More print and maybe some more about pattern tomorrow …

This piece of Russian pottery is called ‘The Gossips’. When I was quite young, Dad would always bring me back a piece of pottery from the Russian shop in Holburn, when he visited London.

I love these two women – hands on hips, putting the world to rights!

I’m sure it does us good to find the time to natter and have a gossip to our friends. Mull over who’s doing what and catch up with news of other friends and family. Inspired by some of my other other Russian matryoshka or babushka dolls, I have designed these cosy cushions.

Cushion base is pink/white candy-striped cotton.

The sun may not have broken through to greet the new week yet, but January has only a week or so to go and many friends are busy planning their summer hols.

How about a retro trip in a vintage camper van? Just think of the freedom, trundling along the open road and then brewing up by the seaside after a long day at the beach.

Bluebell is very special. She's created from vintage blue wool and mounted on a deep red wool panel.

We had a camper van for one summer, many years ago. Ah – the romance of pushing the beast around Brittany. She certainly wasn’t called Bluebell or Daisy at the time! The dream was of warm sunsets, cool wine, happy children and the long, lazy days of summer. My experience was somewhat different - sand everywhere, rain dripping through the awning, every essential item buried deep in illogical hiding places, but never say never … I’d like to live the dream again sometime.

In the meantime, why not cuddle up to a cosy cushion and carry on dreaming …

Don’t be put off – ours was a very, very old version of this design classic.

Did you see the full moon last night and the night before? Apparently an old Celtic name for the January full moon is the Storm moon. It was shining so brilliantly just as dusk fell a couple of nights ago, the owls were hooting in the woods nearby and the air felt crisp and clear. I think the owls were hoping that the dogs would disturb a vole or two as they raced around.

I’ve been promising some photos, so here’s the first – a set of cushions I made as a special Christmas present …

Welsh wool hearts on soft mohair and pink wool - scrumptious!

That’s all for now …
