When other prisoners witnessed this they came to his aid and prised his attacker away from him. They then radioed for guards who rushed to help. The Sheriff’s office is to send letters to the prisoners lawyers commending them for their actions, these letters will later be able to be read in court. Thanks for reading.

You may have heard about the plight of a small delta town called Jericho and its assistant fire chie

You may have heard about the plight of a small delta town called Jericho and its assistant fire chief Don Payne. It’s had a few mentions on the news networks and a couple appearances on the AP feed … and I dedicated a post to the story a couple weeks back (Holy Jericho).

For a quick re-cap of events: while in a court hearing over a traffic ticket issued to his son, Don Payne and at least one member of the Jericho Police Department got in an argument stemming from illegal traffic tickets issued to Payne and other residents of Jericho. A scuffle ensued and Payne was shot in the hip by Officer Eric Pharr of the Jericho Police Department. He was hospitalized in Memphis and underwent a five-hour surgery to remove the .40 caliber bullet which had lodged in his hip bone. He was recently released in good health but still requires the use crutches. Following the shooting, Jericho Police Chief Willie Frazier temporarily disbanded the police force and the entire department remains under investigation.

But no charges have been filed against Officer Eric Pharr, who fired on an unarmed Don Payne in front of six other police officers and presiding judge Tonya Alexander (who quickly resigned her post). The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, which began investigating other questionable Jericho police acts, has reported no progress in the investigation and has shared little of the information collected about the courtroom incident.

Unfortunately, a gunshot wound was only the beginning for Mr. Payne. Days after being released from the hospital, Jericho Mayor Helen Adams officially dismissed him as assistant fire chief. “As it comes to my attention of the improper behavior that you displayed,” she wrote in his letter of termination. “You have disgrace my name as Mayor.” And to top it off, arrest warrants were issued for his arrest. Let me repeat that: the police issued warrants for the arrest of Don Payne after he was shot by a police officer during court proceedings about the legality of the police department’s actions.

And Officer Pharr, who wounded another officer in the shooting, has not received so much as a reprimand. In fact, he’s back on the beat, writing tickets and patrolling the city as usual. Despite Police Chief Frazier’s promise to disband the police force until the investigation was completed, the department re-assembled after little more than a week apart and resumed their “duties.”

The decision not to prosecute Officer Pharr apparently fell to West Memphis City Prosecutor Lindsey Fairley, who supported the officers’ right to detain the former assistant fire chief. Apparently by whatever means necessary. It was also Fairley who decided to levy the charges on Don Payne. The charges – two counts of felony battery – allege that Payne assaulted Police Chief Willie Frazier by shoving him backward, and then reached for Officer Eric Pharr’s weapon. Which Payne vehemently denies. Thomas Martin, the chief investigator for the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department heading up the on-going investigation of Jericho’s police force, confirmed not only that the warrants had been issued but that the police claimed Don Payne was reaching for Eric Pharr’s weapon when he was shot. Early reports noted that the bullet struck Don Payne from behind, which was corroborated in the wound as seen in this video (at the :30 mark). But that angle of approach would make reaching for the pistol improbable if not impossible, a particular of the case that no one in authority has yet commented on.

And although the arrest warrants have been issued, they have not been served. Jericho police are back on the streets and are clearly aware of Don Payne’s residence but have made no attempt to take him into custody. “I’m sitting right here just waiting,” Mr. Payne shared from his front porch during a short interview with one Memphis reporter. “I’m not a fugitive.”

Randy Fishman, of the Memphis law firm Ballin Ballin and Fishman, was secured as Don Payne’s legal counsel shortly after the shooting and maintains that the police were not acting in the public’s best interest. “I think an officer should be trained in not only how a weapon should be used but when a weapon should be used,” Mr. Fishman said. He reiterated that pulling a pistol on an unarmed civilian surrounded by police showed poor judgement, and that firing it was negligent at best. “If anyone should be charged with a felony here, it should start with the officer who pulled the gun.” He has also stated that they are prepared to fight any charges arising from this unfortunate circumstance.

And though he is no longer Jericho’s assistant fire chief, the rest of the Volunteer Fire Department fully support him. All 19 members quit the department en masse on hearing of Payne’s dismissal.

On September 9th, the mayor and city council had a “secret meeting” but none will speak to the press about that meeting, the incident, or even the original allegations of police corruption in Jericho. Various reporters have attempted to speak with city officials but met stiff opposition, including a police response.

With a bit of digging, I unearthed the phone number of Jericho City Hall and repeatedly rang it myself … to no avail. The same was true of the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office. (I hate to think if I lived in the county and tried to ring their offices with an actual problem.) But I take this as a good sign. Because if they aren’t talking, it means they are concerned, and if they are concerned then – just maybe – they have something be concerned about.

I intend to follow this case and update on it when news becomes available. And in the meantime, godspeed to Mr. Payne and Mr. Fishman.

*Sept. 21, 2009

BY VANESSA C. DEGGINS
The number of DWI arrests in Southwest Louisiana for 2009 appears likely to surpass 2008’s.

State Police Troop D reported 1,026 impaired-driving arrests as of Sept. 15, 2009, compared to 1,102 for all of 2008. The Troop D area consists of Allen, Calcasieu, Cameron, Beauregard and Jefferson Davis parishes.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office had 356 DWI arrests in 2008 and has 312 arrests so far this year.

Both agencies take proactive approaches when targeting impaired drivers.

Along with regular checkpoints, the Sheriff’s Office uses its Crime Deterrent Unit in its focus on impaired drivers.

The five-man CDU uses computer-generated statistics to target problem areas in the parish, whether for certain types of crimes or high numbers of alcoholrelated accidents. The unit is active on each 12-hour shift and does not answer dispatch calls.

Troop D Capt. Michael Leonards said the increase in arrests could be due to either more people driving while impaired or to the troop getting more troopers.

“DWI arrests are my thing,” Leonards said, explaining that he stresses DWI arrests to his troopers and shift supervisors, who track DWI arrests.

Troop D has conducted or participated in 11 DWI checkpoints that have resulted in 24 arrests.

For a conviction of driving while intoxicated, the driver has to have an in-car breathalyzer device installed in their car for at least a year.

The driver has to pay for its installation and maintenance.

This year, there have been more than 20 fatal crashes in the Troop D area, with five of them confirmed to be drugrelated and seven alcohol-related.

Also, a new law targets drivers who refuse to take sobriety tests. A driver’s license is suspended for one year on the first refusal, and for two years on the second and subsequent refusals.

An Open House was held yesterday marking the completion of Fort Bend County’s Jail Expansion Project. Inmate capacity is now doubled.

The nearly 250,000 square foot expansion cost about $88 million. The new jail expansion adds just over a 1,000 beds and expands the overall housing capacity to more than 1,700 inmates.

“I commend the citizens of Fort Bend County for letting us put this facility up. It will continue to serve the citizens of Fort Bend County for decades to come,” said Judge Robert Hebert.

The Fort Bend Co. Sheriff’s Office will begin transferring prisoners into the new expansion later this month.

By CAROL MARBIN MILLER

Miami Herald

Wednesday, August 05, 2009

The first time Angeliah Duncan was rushed to the hospital with a head injury, her mother said she fell off a bed. Child welfare authorities in Broward County suggested the mother seek parenting classes.

The next time Angeliah was in the hospital, her mom said she accidentally banged the infant’s head on a dresser. Authorities’ response to mom: Enroll in parenting classes.

No one suggested parenting classes on June 12, when Angeliah was once again rushed to the hospital – this time with a severe head injury doctors believed resulted from a violent shaking. Angeliah died three days later – less than three weeks before her first birthday.

On Monday, Hollywood police charged Cecil O. Weekes, 39, the boyfriend of Angeliah’s mother, with murder. In a sworn statement, detectives say Weekes admitted he shook the little girl to make her quiet down. “He said, ‘just stop [expletive] crying,”” the affidavit states.

Angeliah was baptized the day before she died, a Sunday, records say. Her organs were harvested for transplantation.

In Broward County, the Broward Sheriff’s Office conducts all child-abuse investigations for the state under contract with the state Department of Children & Families. On Tuesday, DCF quickly released all its records on Angeliah in response to a public-records request by The Miami Herald.

Veda Coleman-Wright, a spokeswoman for the BSO, defended the department’s handling of the case, saying both the child’s doctors and the state Department of Health’s Child Protection Team in Broward, which examines children for signs of abuse, found no evidence that Angeliah’s previous head injuries resulted from physical abuse.

“We are not doctors. We consulted the medical experts, and they said there was no evidence of abuse,” Coleman-Wright said. “What they found was consistent with the mother’s explanation of the child’s injuries.”

“You don’t have to search for anyone to blame,” Coleman-Wright added. “The person who is responsible for Angeliah’s murder is in jail.”

In her 11 short months, Angeliah made five trips to the hospital.

She was only two months old when her mother, Rosemary Rodriguez, said she went to sleep with the newborn on her chest. “The child fell off her chest and onto the ground,” a Hollywood police report says.

In hospital again

About five months later, on Feb. 2, Rodriguez, 28, again took her daughter to the hospital. Four days earlier, she told investigators, the baby had fallen off a bed about 18 inches high and landed on a tile floor covered with a comforter. Dr. John E. Wright, who heads the Broward Child Protection Team, told BSO that the mother’s explanation for the baby’s injuries seemed plausible, and the mother “did what she was supposed to do by taking the child to the hospital.”

“There are no signs of present danger,” a BSO investigator wrote.

On May 8, Rodriguez again took her daughter to the hospital, this time with a “substantial hematoma” on her head. Records show Rodriguez said she hit the child’s head accidentally on a dresser. BSO notes quote a protection team coordinator as saying Angeliah “suffered three skull fractures” from the incident.

“The injury is not indicative of physical or sexual abuse and physical abuse has been ruled out by CPT and the injury was found to be accidental,” an investigator wrote. “There is no known history of battery between the mother and boyfriend.”

But records show BSO investigators did not speak with anyone about Angeliah’s family after the Child Protection Team concluded the infant’s injuries did not result from abuse.

After the girl died, Hollywood police were told by a family friend, Nadja Garcia, that she had witnessed Angeliah suffer abuse after being in Weekes’ care.

Sometime before Angeliah’s second head injury, Garcia told police, she and Rodriguez had left the girl with Weekes while they went to run an errand.

“When they returned,” the police report states, “Angeliah Duncan had injuries on her arm and her mouth. The arm injury caused the baby’s arm to swell so much that the sleeve on her shirt had to be cut in order for her shirt to fit her.”

Garcia also told police that Rodriguez “told her she had been physically abused by Cecil Weekes.” Rodriguez later told police that Weekes had abused her.

Three more calls

On the day Angeliah was hospitalized for the last time, the state’s abuse hot line received three more calls about the girl.

“A month ago it was learned that Angeliah had sustained three skull fractures,” a report on one of the calls said. “At that time, there were concerns regarding the explanations given [by] Mom and Dad for those injuries because their stories ‘didn’t make sense.””

Before the infant died, Angeliah was diagnosed as having “blood on the brain,” records say. Rodriguez said she could not remember her baby ever hitting her head. “She stated that the person who gave the child CPR placed her on the table and the child may have hit her head then,” case notes say.

An early evaluation of the June hot-line report by a BSO investigator detailed the family’s strengths: The parents’ “whereabouts” were known. Neither Rodriguez nor Weekes had any criminal history. There was adequate food, clothing and shelter. Neither parent had a history of alcohol or drug abuse.

Angeliah “does not exhibit any behaviors that would indicate abuse or neglect,” the report says. “The parents are not responsible for the death of any other child.”

It added: “No pattern [of abuse] found involving this family.”

By Gregg Hennigan

IOWA CITY - The city of Tiffin is weighing its public safety needs against its bottom line.

Tiffin, which is a few miles west of Coralville and has a population of about 1,700, has no police force, so it contracts with Johnson County to have sheriff’s deputies patrol the town.

The contract is up for renewal July 1. Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek, citing the growth of the town — its population has nearly doubled this decade — and the opening of a new high school in the fall, recommended the town increase its hours from the current 1,300 a year to 1,560 in the new contract.

The City Council, however, originally said it wanted to decrease its hours to 1,170. View a breakdown of the proposal, provided by Pulkrabek, at the end of this story.

Pulkrabek on Thursday apprised the Board of Supervisors of the situation, which said it would write a letter to the council encouraging it to follow the sheriff’s recommendation.

Tiffin Mayor Royce Phillips also was at the meeting. He said the five-member council, which he does not have a regular vote on, probably will increase the hours some but not as much as Pulkrabek suggested. The council meets Wednesday and Phillips hopes they’ll reach an agreement with the county soon.

“There’s no question that we’re going to need increased patrol,” he said.

Phillips said its more an issue of money than hours. The county is increasing the hourly fee it charges from $27 to $31. That would cost the city $5,200 a year more if it kept its contracted hours the same, and more than $13,200 a year extra if it followed Pulkrabek’s proposal.

Including salary and benefits, the average deputy is worth $35.72 an hour, Pulkrabek said. Plus there’s equipment, a patrol car and gas. And Tiffin, like the other small towns the county serves, goes over its contracted amount every year at no extra charge, he said.

“So clearly, it costs more to have a deputy than what we’re charging,” he said.

Phillips also said there could be better communication with the county. For example, deputies have started sometimes walking into schools while on patrol. Phillips said the city didn’t know that counted against its hours until after it started.

Pulkrabek and the supervisors emphasized that the county would respond to any emergency in Tiffin no matter what. But if the contracted hours aren’t increased, there will be fewer regular patrols through the town.

“It’s really up to you folks to weigh how much protection you want,” supervisors Chairman Terrence Neuzil told Phillips.

Supervisor Sally Stutsman said many governments are facing tight budgets, but Tiffin either needs to pay for more coverage by the Sheriff’s Office, accept fewer patrols or set up its own police force.

“To me, these issues are consequences of growth,” she said.

Phillips said the creation of a police force is something the town may have to consider several years from now.

I started this post assured that I had heard something so horrific that it needed to be posted about. However, in trying to find further information, in trying to substantiate what information I had, I’ve come up with one brick wall after another. Not only that, but further research led me to find some things I had not expected. So I will let this post move on with what I have found and what I’ve tried to verify and then close it with further information I’ve found. I want the truth and I cannot find it here. I realize the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Was this situation set up so that we would be afraid for our property and afraid of local law enforcement? Was it done as a cruel hoax to upset us all? Are the facts real or made up. I have no answers at this time. I gave the Sheriff 5 days to respond, nothing. Further searches for information have come up with nothing. Not even searching court dockets has any information. So is this a real situation or more disinformation perpetrated on We the People in order to control us? Was it designed to make people hate the government? Hate the bankers? Expose a plot? I cannot say. I can only bring you the information I’ve found, or not found, and let you make the decisions for yourselves.

Banks seem to be confiscating property they have NO rights to. Take for example the woman in Missouri where cops broke down her door and carted her off to jail because they say she was living on property she didn’t own. The alleged victim in this situation is a woman, Dawn Welch, who claims to have legal documents proving she owns her property free and clear and yet the mortgage company who sent her that document went ahead and sold the supposed mortgage to another lender who then promptly foreclosed on it. Ms. Welch went to court to fight the forecloser. She is standing up for her rights as a Citizen and yet the corrupt bankers of this country are confiscating property they have no interest in or right to.

Now, I have an issue with Prisonplanet.com in that I cannot always verify their sources. They cover things that most won’t, but that doesn’t mean their information is bogus, nor does it make it real. Especially when it comes to the Missouri Police department and their SWATT teams. Missouri is the one who put out that pamphlet which stated all Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin supporters were terrorists and anyone who supported them should be subject to arrest. The Missouri Mayor even stood by the report until Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and Chuck Baldwin threatened to sue. An apology was sent out. The report didn’t just come out of Missouri though, part of it is from Arizona!

So I wrote to the Sheriff to ask for some information.

sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer

Hello Sheriff Boyer,
I hope you will take time to answer my questions and attach any documents you feel are pertinent to this inquiry as it will all go out to the media.

Question 1)By what court order did you evict Dawn Welch who owned her home outright? Please include case number or photocopy of document.

Question 2)What was the Judge’s Name?

Question 3)Do you understand you serve the PEOPLE of your county, not elected officials, corporations, or special interest groups?

Question 4) Have you read Sheriff Mac’s No Sheriff Left Behind?

Question 5) Do you know of, or are you part of, The Oath Keepers?

Sincerely,

Well, it has been 5 days since I sent the above message and there has been no response from the sheriff or his office. So I decided to call them and see what is going on. I clicked on the Community Relations button on the website and found the name of Corporal Eric Stotler (636-797-5012). I decided to call him and ask him the same questions I had of the sheriff.

Corporal Eric Stotler was shocked to hear from me and refused to answer any of my questions. I even asked him if he knew about the Oath Keepers but he said he had no knowledge of this organization. I asked Corporal Stotler if he had taken an oath to join the force but he refused to answer. Corporal Eric Stotler refused to answer any of my questions at all and hung up on me after I kept pushing for answers.

I next tried to find the court case or docket number for the case from Jefferson County Municipal Court. I spoke with a very nice person there named Tasha who tried very hard to find me the information I was looking for, namely the case against Ms. Welch. She was unable to find this information either under Dawn Welsh or under Wachovia. Another dead end…

So then I went looking for Wachovia. Under their contact information I found this:

For assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, please call 800-WACHOVIA (800-922-4684), or contact us via email.

So I called. I spoke with another nice woman named Juanita, (sorry if it is misspelled), and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes while she spoke with their legal department after which the line went dead. Wow, what a surprise! NOT! They tried to get me to use the fax number or send an email but I wanted to speak with someone and said I was fine on hold. Had they had nothing to hide the legal people would have spoken with me.

Watch and listen to the horrendous video of what happened to Dawn Welsh: Start at the bottom video and work your way up.

According to a blog post on PrisonPlanet:

Dawn Welsh of Hillsboro, MO Arrested for Trespassing in Her Own Home After Supposed Mortgage Scam

Dawn Welsh thought her house was paid off. She received paperwork from her bank showing it was paid off, but through a series of her mortgage being bought and sold, Wachovia Bank was the final owner of the mortgage and claimed Welsh was still owed on her home despite papers showing otherwise.

Today [yesterday], Hillsboro, Missouri police came onto her property and broke her door down to remove her from her property near St. Louis. They used a battering ram to enter her home, despite her showing evidence in the past that she owned the property. She had gone to court previously and showed a judge the mortgage was paid in full, and it is a record of the court. However, these are desperate times for Wachovia who continued to threaten the 54-year-old woman.

These paperwork problems aren’t uncommon. In fact many people wind up in court after they are told they owe more money on their homes after a series of mortgages being pushed back and forth through the mortgage process.

Wachovia Mortgage took over the mortgage and said they weren’t going to honor the paperwork from the previous mortgage and continued to harass this woman. So we have a woman with the proper papers showing her house is paid off with the police and the courts ignoring the paperwork according to the story.

It seems so fitting that the banks have become so desperate to make up their losses that they are bullying themselves over hard-working people in scams to collect even more from the mortgages. They have received hundreds of billions from the taxpayers, and yet they pushed this lady into the corner.

Property rights are definitely in question in the United States and with the government’s interest in the banks, we might see more of this as the government looks for sources of income to fix broken programs that are running out of money. Will they go as far as confiscating property through the banks? That’s the real question that comes from today’s story.

Obama ran on the promise that he would help people like Welsh, but this may be the reality now the government is running the banks.

Another quote from a member of the Ron Paul Daily:

I studied this issue a
On May 14th, 2009 David40 says:

I studied this issue a number of years ago. I learned of this when I attended a law school for lay people called The Barrister’s Inn School of Common Law. That school might still be around. The theory was that since Federal Reserve Notes are not money, but in reality an IOU, you can never really pay anything off with them. It’s like a check. Say a check gets endorsed repeatedly from person to person to person but then the check turns out to be bad. Each person down the line can be held liable jointly or severally. Why do you think they make everyone endorse the check? Having learned this, when I paid off my mortgage I made a note on the check “Without Recourse”. So by cashing my check they surrendered their right to come after my property if the Federal Reserve Notes I paid with turned out to be fiat. If the country really has been in bankruptcy since the nineteen thirties, then in theory, any bank can seize any property that was used as collateral against the IOU’s, FRN’s.

Watch all the videos here:

Live interview recorded HERE:

I’ve contacted Joyce Riley to see if she has further updates on Dawn Welsh. We’ll see what she has to say.

While looking for information I’ve come across some disturbing information concerning Joyce Riley. It seems that she is a government operative who is supported by both the FBI and other agencies. Running under various assumed names, she has been involved in some shady things it seems. So what are we to believe? There are conspiracy theories galore out there with her name attached to them. So what is the real story behind Joyce Riley? Is she Hanoui Joyce Riley? Was she instrumental in the killing of Peter Kawaja? Who knows?

What is the real story? Did this actually happen? Was there a witness in Jefferson County? I’d sure like to hear from them. I do not have answers at this time. I’ve tried to find the answers and have been stonewalled. I don’t know what more I can do to find out information on whether or not this actually happened or was staged.

Everyone remembers the Patriot Act which was passed in 2001 after the events of 9/11. Since its inception, (it is illegal per the Constitution), I have wondered when or how it was going to be enforced. Turns out it has been used against a 16 year old boy in N. Carolina. Ashton Lundeby has been carted off by the FBI for charges of making a bomb threat over the internet. Full story can be found here:Watch the video Here: Ashton Lundeby has never been in trouble with the law, has good grades and is now embroiled in the Patriot Act. His mother has barely seen him since 12 agents of the FBI and the Sheriff’s department stormed his home and arrested him.

Ashton Lundeby is being held without the benefit of an attorney, without charges, without recourse to family or friends or any type of support that most of us take for granted. Ashton Lundeby has ceased to exist in our world of laws and daily living.

Who knows what the FBI is doing to him? Are they using their advanced interigation and torture techniques on this boy? How will we know? Is his right to a trial going to be enforced? No, he is considered a terrorist and therefore outside the laws of these united States. Ashton Lundeby is the poster child for the Patriot Act.

No bomb making parts or pieces were found at the home. Nothing to indicate that this boy had ever had intentions of doing any harm to this country or any citizen living here. Only the FBI’s word that Ashton Lundeby’s computer had been used to make the bomb threats. No consideration for the fact that hackers routinely hack computers and send out spam. No mention of anything logical just a supposed threat they don’t even have to prove. And then Ashton disappears for…? And it could happen to any of us at any time. Think about it. If they, (FBI), don’t have to prove you did something, only suspect it, you and I could disappear forever also.

Sure, kids are known to do dumb stuff. They’ve been known to toilet-paper houses, get into trouble, be a nuisance, or run with the wrong crowd. But all reports of Ashton Lundeby show that he is not this type of kid. Being home schooled, his mother would know him best. Could it be that the government is trying to stop home-schooling and is using this Patriot Act to gain control of Ashton Lundeby’s mind? It isn’t as if that is unheard of…

I’m sure there isn’t a person on the planet that hasn’t heard of the MK-Ultra.

Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA mind-control and chemical interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence. The program began in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used United States citizens as its test subjects. The published evidence indicates that Project MK-ULTRA involved the surreptitious use of many types of drugs, as well as other methods, to manipulate individual mental states and to alter brain function.

Project MK-ULTRA was first brought to wide public attention in 1975 by the U.S. Congress, through investigations by the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission. Investigative efforts were hampered by the fact that CIA Director Richard Helms ordered all MK-ULTRA files destroyed in 1973; the Church Committee and Rockefeller Commission investigations relied on the sworn testimony of direct participants and on the relatively small number of documents that survived Helms’ destruction order.

The CIA has a long history of destroying evidence when they feel the need. (1), (2), (3), (4), and the list goes on…

So just what is happening to Ashton Lundeby. He is sitting here being harassed, questioned, and who knows what else? Worst of all, he isn’t even an adult and probably has no idea of what is happening to him. Talk about torture and terror!

“We have no rights under the Patriot Act to even defend them, because the Patriot Act basically supersedes the Constitution,” she said. “It wasn’t intended to drag your barely 16-year-old, 120-pound son out in the middle of the night on a charge that we can’t even defend.”

The Patriot Act is one of those laws which is unconstitutional. It was a super knee-jerk reaction to September 11, 2001. Now that we know so much more concerning that day, this law should be repealed. But until then, what does the FBI intend to do with a 16 year old boy? One who has never been in any trouble. A boy who is, after all, just a boy?

A search of the FBI’s website for information concerning Ashton Lundeby will show NO RESULTS. Ditto for a search of the South Bend correctional facility that the boy was supposedly transfered to by the FBI. Ashton Lundeby has simply ceased to exist…

I have sent a letter to Chief of Staff Daniel G. Ronay at dgronay@idoc.in.gov

I have been searching for information concerning Ashton Lundeby and cannot find it. I would like to know how the boy is and how long you expect to hold him.

I would love to see others take the time to write to this agency and demand information about this boy. We can’t let him disappear or forget his mother and family. This type of Gestapo-like behavior must end and those responsible for it stopped. The patriot act must be gotten rid of. It was a huge knee-jerk reaction by a Congress that has failed time and time again to secure our ports and borders, stop abuse of all the Visa programs, doesn’t bother to check for those they have brought in and then forgotten about, and all the other problems we have. Fix those and we won’t need the patriot act or any other unconstitutional bill.

I realize it is not the followers of orders that are responsible, (although that doesn’t make them any less guilty of abuse), but those who issue the orders. These are the peole we must hold accountable for their actions and the actions of their subordinates. This is Still America and these are Americans we are talking about.

According to Cornell Law:

Specific provisions of the Constitution protect the rights of the individual from interference by the federal and state governments. The first ten amendments, called the Bill of Rights, were enacted in 1791 to provide a check on the new federal government. See The Bill Of Rights: U.S. Const. amendments I – X. The first eight amendments provide protection of some of the most fundamental rights of the individual. For example, the First Amendment protects the fundamental civil rights of free speech, press and assembly. See First Amendment Rights. Subsequent amendments have also broadened the protection afforded the rights of the individual. The 13th Amendment made slavery illegal. See U.S. Const. amend. XIII. The fourteenth Amendment prohibits the states from abridging “the rights and immunities” of any citizen without due process of law. See U.S. Const. amend. The “due process” clause of the 14th Amendment has been interpreted by the Supreme Court as affording citizens protection from interference by the state with almost all of the rights listed in the first eight amendments. The exceptions are the right to bear arms in the second Amendment, the 5th Amendment guarantee of a grand jury in criminal prosecutions, and the right to a jury for a civil trial under the seventh Amendment. The Fourteenth Amendment also guarantees the equal protection of the laws. See Equal Protection. The right to vote is protected by the 15th Amendment (“right to vote shall not be denied… on account of race.”), the 19th Amendment (guaranteeing the right to vote regardless of sex), and the 24th Amendment (extending the right to vote to those who are 18 years of age). See U.S. Const.
As you can see, the Patriot Act violates much of the Constitution. It is time to get rid of it and any Congress person who doesn’t do this should be replaced with one who will. We must return to the Constitution and empower all those who desire this and work to fulfill it. Congress took an Oath to defend and protect the Constitution, not to pass laws in fear or in panic. Had they done their jobs with our ports and borders, 9-11 would NEVER have happened.

And what of the North Carolina Highway Patrol who helped the FBI in this raid on an American Citizen? What do they have to say for themselves??? I wrote to them and asked them the following:

I am wondering why the North Carolina Highway Patrol would assist the FBI in violating the rights of a 16 year old boy where there is little evidence available to prove this boy deserves to be treated as a terrorist? Why wasn’t the Sheriff’s Office a defender of this boy?

Have you heard of the Oath Keepers? Maybe you should. We are Americans and the Patriot Act when used against Americans is Unconstitutional. Better it should be used against those outsiders.

Ashton Lundeby has disappeared. You helped. What do you have to say for yourselves?

State Highway Patrol 919-733-7952
Victims’ Compensation Services 919-733-7974

As Americans we must fight for eachother, help eachother, stand strong for eachother. We are Americans after all. We cannot forget or ignore injustice here within our borders. Banded together we can overcome much that is wrong with these united States at this time. We can return to what we were, TOGETHER.

Between the DHS Domestic Extremist Lexicon and the DHS Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment we are all being called terrorists by OUR own government because we don’t agree with them 100%. But our Creator given rights guarantee us the right to disagree with whomever we choose. It is not up to our government, a government that We the People created to serve US, to call us names or send fellow citizens or law enforcement agents against us.

According to the Department of Justice website the Patriot act was supposed to do the following:

The USA PATRIOT Act: Preserving Life and Liberty

Congress enacted the Patriot Act by overwhelming, bipartisan margins, arming law enforcement with new tools to detect and prevent terrorism: The USA Patriot Act was passed nearly unanimously by the Senate 98-1, and 357-66 in the House, with the support of members from across the political spectrum.

The above statement is an exaggeration. Congress had a knee jerk reaction to 9-11 and this abuse of liberty is the result. There is no Preserving of Life or Liberty here when the exact opposite is the truth of the matter. The propaganda that the government puts out and expects us to swallow is amazing. This act should be abolished now that there are clear heads and time and distance has been put between us and whatever happened on September 11, 2001. There is a bill before Congress right now which would put brakes on some of the infamous National Security Letters, but it doesn’t go far enough. Certainly one must question the FBI’s need to use it against a 16 year old boy. What type of torture of Ashton Lundeby is going on?

Allows law enforcement to use surveillance against more crimes of terror.

Allows federal agents to follow sophisticated terrorists trained to evade detection.

Allows law enforcement to conduct investigations without tipping off terrorists.

Allows federal agents to ask a court for an order to obtain business records in national security terrorism cases.

The Patriot Act facilitated information sharing and cooperation among government agencies so that they can better “connect the dots.”

The Patriot Act updated the law to reflect new technologies and new threats.

Allows law enforcement officials to obtain a search warrant anywhere a terrorist-related activity occurred. (notice the past tense here)

Allows victims of computer hacking to request law enforcement assistance in monitoring the “trespassers” on their computers. (If anything this should have protected Ashton Lundeby)

Enhanced a number of conspiracy penalties, including for arson, killings in federal facilities, attacking communications systems, material support to terrorists, sabotage of nuclear facilities, and interference with flight crew members.

Punishes terrorist attacks on mass transit systems.Punishes bioterrorists.Eliminates the statutes of limitations for certain terrorism crimes and lengthens them for other terrorist crimes.

How any of the Patriot Act can apply to a 16 year old boy who has never been in trouble before, where no evidence was found to support the alleged criminal activity, but it is always the same with the FBI and CIA and cops in general, they don’t think, don’t question, don’t have one good reason why they would summarily detain and incarcerate a Citizen of these united States. Instead, heavy handed techniques are the normal state and your rights as a Citizen mean nothing. This has got to stop. Release Ashton Lundeby immediately!

The paranoia of this government has got to stop. Stop taking the disapproval of the Citizens of this country personally. Just because we think you are doing a shitty job doesn’t mean we hate you as a person. It simply means that you need another job. Our Government has forgotten it is to serve the needs of the Citizens, not the citizens serve its needs. Our government is not entitlted anything, but We the People are entitled to much.

Brent Oleson thinks so. He argues the non-supervisor elected officials — Auditor Joel Miller,

Brent Oleson thinks so. He argues the non-supervisor elected officials — Auditor Joel Miller, Treasurer Mike Stevenson, Sheriff Brian Gardner and Recorder Joan McCalmant — aren’t nearly as interested in fiscal conservatism as they say they are.

Really? Then why did ALL of those elected officials turn in budget requests well above last year’s funding for their own departments? Why did most of them let their politically appointed staff receive double-digit raises over the last two years? Why do most of them continue to grow their own areas of government at healthy rates?

Freezing management salaries has been the talk of the county since the aforementioned elected officials called for it Friday. County Attorney Harold Denton has taken no official position on the matter.

About 135 non-elected, non-deputy and non-bargaining unit county employees would be affected by a management salary freeze. They are among the better-paid of all county employees.

Oleson, taking his argument to its logical conclusion, took off the gloves and pounded away at the sheriff’s office budget Monday afternoon, in a routine budget review which under normal circumstances would have gone off with a few shallow questions from the board followed by the adoption of staff recommendations. (By the way, the true nature of this process cuts at the heart of the popular argument that supervisors are CEOs of a $100 million corporation. Staffers Dawn Jindrich and Steve Tucker make most of the budget decisions.)

Oleson voted not to approve the sheriff’s budget, and was defeated 4-1. He didn’t think the sheriff needed to add two positions, or buy 9 new squad cars. Sheriff Brian Gardner was there, and as usual, answered questions in his placid, reasonable way.

The Story
Those of you who live in Minnesota may know that an elderly man was struck and killed during a hit and run in Big Lake.

When 76-year-old Ira Everett Shank was crossing the street to get the Sunday morning newspaper, as he had done every day for more than 13 years, when he was hit.

“Hitting a person or any object at 50 miles an hour, it would be impossible to not know you hit something,” said Captain Joel Brott from the sheriff’s office. The striking vehicle should have significant front end damage, including possible blood or clothing particles. The Minnesota State Patrol and the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.

Read the news story.

Anything Can Happen
Until this happened I didn’t realize that anything possible to happen can happen whenever, wherever and you never know what will happen each day. You could wake up, shower, eat and walk out the door. That could be the last chance you get to do that. It’s weird. That’s all.

—– Valley teen dies in one-vehicle rollover accident

The following is a press release from the —–County Sheriff’s Office:

Shortly after 10:30 P.M. last night, November 2, 2008, —– County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported vehicle rollover at —– Parkway and —– Road in —–. Deputy’s contacted personnel from the Central —– Fire District who confirmed the death of a young female driver in a vehicle which had overturned near the intersection. She was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Details as to the cause of the accident are still under investigation.

The driver has been identified as 17-year-old Kasey —– from —– Valley. Law Enforcement Officials and a member of the Trauma Intervention Program, met with the victim’s family early this morning.

(From the local newspaper – edited to remove names)

Dead teenager may have been drag-racing

Seventeen-year-old Kasey —– may have been racing with the driver of another car just before her death Sunday after her Ford Focus struck a power pole on —— Road, according to two witnesses interviewed by —— police shortly after the deadly crash.

But Kasey’s father says that when police told him about the witness statements, “it never made any sense to us, and it still doesn’t.”

Al —– said the only reason the family can think of for Kasey driving at high speed is if she was trying to get away from someone.

According to a —– Police report, two men told police they saw Kasey’s Ford and another light-colored vehicle going north on —– Road at about 100 miles an hour. (speed limit there is 40)

The men said “the two vehicles appeared to be racing,” the report stated.

—— County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman said the two vehicles passed the witnesses at high speed and then disappeared down the road.

Moments later the witnesses came upon the Ford crashed into a power pole near the northbound right-turn lane on —– Road at —– Parkway.

He added that the impact likely killed the —– Valley girl instantly. Kasey was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, which a nearby homeowner who heard the crash placed at around 10:30 p.m.

At 10:47 p.m., —– Fire Department officials confirmed that Kasey was dead, the report states.

About an hour later, police found a gray vehicle abandoned on Highway —. They have located the owner and deputies are trying to determine his involvement, if any, in the accident.

Al —– said he and his wife, Lori, are cooperating with police to try to find out why this happened to their daughter and who might have been involved.

And if anyone is involved, he added, “We would very much like to see justice done.”

He said his daughter – a senior at —– – had wanted to be a whale trainer at Sea World after she graduated next spring.

Officers Work Against Individual Rights
Palm Beach Gardens Police Arrest Twelve For No Legitimate Reason

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida – The Libertarian Party of Palm Beach County (LPPBC) is disgusted at the lack of respect our local, county, state, and federal authorities have for human rights and an American’s ability to participation in victim less, voluntary transactions.
This morning the Palm Beach Gardens police, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshall’s, and the DEA all participated in a scheme to waste tax dollars while dozens of these public servants should have spent their time protecting the public. What were they doing? Hoping to garner headlines for busting drug dealers? However, that is not the whole story. These “drug traffickers” stole nothing and didn’t create victims in their supposed “crimes”. Where are the victims?
The accused participated in filling their legitimate prescriptions for oxymoron at their local drug store (a legal transaction) and instead of injecting the prescriptions decided to sell them. And for that, we have arrested twelve people supposedly to make our streets safer, however this type of transaction happens everyday in Palm Beach County and without any victims.
The Libertarian Party of Palm Beach County feels strongly that our police forces should be focused on crimes with actual victims rather than waste their time and resources (and the public’s tax dollars) on frivolous victim less “crimes” such as these. Each U.S. Citizen should have the right to participate voluntary transactions without threat by the strong arm of the law. We feel this ideology shift would more than double the resources available for true crime prevention, and significantly reduce the number of violent criminals at work in Palm Beach County.

There has been a vested interest into MechQuest’s plot development recently, and I’ve decided to give my opinion on the way MechQuest’s plot is developing and the job AE is doing on it.The plot of MechQuest really got interesting back during the Soluna City storyline, when the plot heated up on the moon: Kingadent Slugwrath turned out to be working for the ShadowScythe and the mysterious rebels were actually the missing Soluna Defense Forces. These huge plots twists, while anticipated by many, opened up a lot of people’s eyes as to the complexity and depth of MechQuest’s growing plot, and at such an early stage in the game’s development, such a fantastic storyline in only the first zone foreshadowed great things to come.

So where did the plot turn to next? Westion, of course. If you read my analysis post of the opening of Westion, you would know I thought the introduction to Westion and its plot was captivating and interesting, with the side-plot of the animosity between Alamonia and Khaeldron setting up an interesting deviation from the ShadowScythe, one that we all knew would somehow relate back to the main plotline. Unfortunately, I’d have to say the side-plot between Alamonia and Khaeldron has not developed as much as I’d have liked to see, as we only got confirmation of their disliking with the train stoppage quest and general dialogues between both sides. We still don’t know anything about why there is trouble brewing, how it’s been happening, and who are the driving forces behind it all (the missing ambassadors have been left hanging…).

Still, we have had excellent side-side plots on Westion, such as Alamonia’s Sheriff’s Office (with a fantastic plot twist when the main character is actually turned out to be evil) and the Khaeldron Research Labs, with one of the most entertaining quests currently in the game. The latest release, the Alamonia Town Hall, is too early to tell whether it will relate to the ShadowScythe, Alamonia-Khaeldron or something else, but it will definitely be interesting to watch.

While the Alamonia-Khaeldron plot may be lacking in plot development past the initial setup, the relation between Westion and the ShadowScythe sure hasn’t. We knew from the beginning Westion would somehow relate back to the ShadowScythe, but we didn’t know how and we didn’t know when. Well, we know both now. The latest war on Khaeldron has revealed a multitude of information on the relationship, and while I won’t go into detail on it here, I will say this: The information revealed was very well thought-out and logical, and I think the way it was laid out in the format of a war was the best way to go about it. Not to mention the fact that the plot has really become interesting and attractive, and the cliff hanger at the end (with Lord Valoth deciding to send in emergency reinforcements), makes you want to see the continuation so, so bad. The ending of the Westion-ShadowScythe storyline took a huge step forward with the war, and I personally can’t wait for the conclusion.

All in all, so far, Westion has done a fantastic job with the Westion-ShadowScythe plot and Westion side-side plot(s), and while the Alamonia-Khaeldron side plot could definitely have developed further, I am definitely leaving the door open for either the Mayor’s Office (and J6) or a future release to advance this laggard into its counterparts’ territories.

Stay tuned for when Westion wraps up, when I will post a conclusion to this post, only with Westion’s ending as the main content. Thanks for reading, and feel free to give your opinion on the plot of Westion (and MechQuest in general) in the Comments section below (or feedback to mine).

NEW/Related: Washington officials to send piece of footless skeleton to B.C. (Vancouver Sun, July 22)

(July 21) How do you have a high-profile investigation about five mystery feet washing-up along the coast of British Columbia and not look into the case of a footless body found washed ashore just across the border?

That’s been the question slowly-aimed at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police ever since last Friday’s exclusive CTV report concerning a body found on the shores of Orcas Island, Washington more than a year ago. In fairness, the report also said that the coroner in Washington State never felt compelled to notify the the BC Coroners Service about the Orcas Island discovery until after he was contacted by the CTV crew last week.

But according to a story published in this morning’s Globe and Mail, the RCMP was already aware of the Orcas Island body prior to last week’s CTV story. Here are the lead paragraphs in today’s Globe and Mail report:

Police investigating washed-up feet knew about an unidentified, footless body found off the shores of Orcas Island in Washington before media reports last week, RCMP Constable Annie Linteau said yesterday.

But she wouldn’t say when they found out about the body or what actions they’ve taken to work with authorities in Washington to see if it is connected to the disembodied feet discovered on B.C.’s shores.

Just last Friday, CTV reported:

But (San Juan County Coroner Randy) Gaylord says Canadian authorities never contacted him, and despite international media coverage he admits he never bothered to tell them he had a footless body.

It wasn’t until CTV News called Gaylord that he decided to inform the BC Coroners Service. It’s asked for DNA.

The long delay in making the connection between the U.S. body and the B.C. feet raises questions about communication between jurisdictions.

Now let’s return to this morning’s Globe and Mail:

San Juan County coroner Randall Gaylord said Canadian authorities didn’t contact him to ask about the body until last Thursday. According to documents from the sheriff’s office, U.S. authorities informed the Canadian Police Information Centre about the find in May, 2007. Sheriff office records don’t show any contact by the RCMP regarding the detached feet until July 17 of this year.

Although the RCMP recently announced that DNA has helped solve the mystery concerning one of the five feet found in the Strait of Georgia, more questions have surfaced concerning the handling of the information from Washington State.

Was last Friday’s CTV report correct when it suggested the RCMP was unaware of the Orcas Island case until CTV seemingly put the wheels into motion?

On its Web site Friday, CTV posed what had seemed like a fair–and quite serious–question:

The long delay in making the connection between the U.S. body and the B.C. feet raises questions about communication between jurisdictions.

Meantime, according to today’s Globe and Mail, the RCMP only requested a DNA sample of the Orcas Island body just last Thursday.

That alone seems to say a lot.

(You can read all of the Beyond90Seconds.com stories about the B.C. Mystery Feet here.)
