Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday that Angie adopted him, and now Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt is 6 years old! In the two and a half years he’s been a member of the Jolie-Pitt family, Pax has experienced quite a bit. For one thing, the lucky little guy has already been to several countries! France, the Czech Republic, Kenya, Germany, and, of course, the United States are just a few of the countries he has visited! In March 2007,  it was announced that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were adopting their fourth child, a little boy from Vietnam. Unlike their previous two adoptions, this time they were adopting an older child. A few weeks after the announcement that the Jolie-Pitts were adopting, Jolie-Pitt child number 4 offically joined the family. The 3-year-old boy, orginally named Pham Quang Sang, was named Pax Thien Jolie (Vietnamese law makes it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt, so Angie adopted as single parent. Hence the reason his last name was initally Jolie and not Jolie-Pitt). Pax means “peace” or “peaceful” in Latin, and Thien means “sky” or “heaven” in Vietnamese, so Pax’s full name literally means “peacful sky” or ”peaceful heaven”. Maddox and Zahara were in Vietnam with Angie to meet their new brother (Shiloh, who was 10 months old at the time, was in LA with Brad, who couldn’t go to Vietnam due to the fact that he was filming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the time. Shi even ended up with a cameo in the movie!). Shortly after Angie, Maddox, Pax, and Zahara arrived back in LA, Pax’s last name was legally changed to Jolie-Pitt.

A few months after Pax’s adoption, Angie made the press rounds for A Mighty Heart, and in her interviews, told us a little bit more about Pax. She revealed that he was, at the time “the wildest one in the house”. She also shared that Pax has his little sister Shiloh to at least partially thank for his adoption. She explained that “something changed with Shiloh. Suddenly there was someone in the house who looked like mommy and daddy.” She went on to say that they decided the other kids might benefit from having someone else of their race in the house to relate to. Perhaps most touching of all, Angelina revealed where Pax’s name came from. While she did not say how she and Brad picked “Thien”, she shared that, when she was pregnant with Shiloh, her mother Marcheline gave her and Brad a list of name suggestions….one of which was Pax. So, even though Marcheline died a few months prior to Pax’s adoption, Pax will always have a very special connection to his grandmother.

In July of 2008, Pax experienced welcoming new siblings for the first time. Angelina gave birth to twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline on July 12th at the Foundation Lenval Hospital in Nice, France. A few months after the twins’ birth, Angelina revealed that Pax and his other siblings had taken well to the new additions, even changing diapers on occasion! They also, she said, referred to the twins as “their babies”.

Now Pax is a very grown-up six-year old boy. He has certainly changed a lot since he first joined the family. Up next for the little guy? Most likely more siblings, for one. Angie and Brad have both said that they want more children, and that they want to adopt again! Happy birthday, Pax!

It’s funny when actors dress up for Halloween because don’t they dress up for their jobs?  But I guess they want to be like regular people, wear tacky nylon costumes and ask for candy.  Like they couldn’t buy the candy factory.

Brad is apparently a character from a kids’s show called Yo Gabba Gabba.  Ok.  Angie is a beaten up ghost.  Z makes an adorable Batgirl and Mad and Shi belong to a ghost army.  More treat than trick to see this family out.  Bet people thought it was a family dressed up as costumed Jolie-Pitts and not the real deal.  Boo!

Micropigs! and a kitteh

Yes, the latest rich people trend is to own micropigs. Omfg they are cute, so I can’t blame Rupert Grint for having one.

Apparently these cute little piggies live for 18 years, and grow to a maximum height of 14 inches tall.  Also they cost $1,400 so wait until (C)Hanukka(h) to ask for one.  The residents of #SSR want to invest in one (perhaps instead of our communal child, but maybe we can have both and Baby Jane will have a baby piggie to play with. In her crewcuts and sword outfit, of course.) But look how cute!

Angelina Jolie was spotted yesterday in France outside of a French supermarket with daughters Shiloh and Zahara.

A bubbly Zahara looks adorable in her lavender dress, while Shiloh looks funny in her Charlie Chaplin getup.

Australia Magazine OK! says that Angelina Jolie is a good mom.  Are they referring to  her mothering skills of Maddox, Pax,  Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, or her mothering skills of Iraqi and Afghani refugees?!

This woman can do no wrong in the land of Oz. Meanwhile, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt continues to rock the tom boy look, this time with a cap.

More Jolie kids?  My God, do they ever just nap?  Shi’s continuing to butch it up – last week’s sword now replaced by (hopefully not Daddy’s) tie.  Zahara’s continuing to hold down the fort, fashion-wise, with long skirts and jewelry.  It seems like instead of just getting dressed, the kids play dress up every day.

We all love seeing the family do normal, every-day family things, and what’s more normal than going to the grocery store?! Brad, Angelina, Shiloh and Zahara were spotted getting some fruits and vegetables at a little fruit and vegetable stand in France just recently.

I love how cute the girls look! Princess Zee looks as though she’s a bit upset at the Paparazzi, but Shiloh’s taking it all in stride. Looks like they’ve got their silkies with them and I love how Shiloh is wearing Angelina’s hat! Seeing this family always makes me smile, even if Brad is visibly a bit upset at the paparazzi taking photos of the family (I can’t blame him – I’d be upset too if they got that close! Bad paparazzi! Use your telephoto lenses!)

Still, I tend to wonder what the family bought – can you tell?

1. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Loses A Tooth:

At first, I thought I had lied to you when I mentioned in September 17’s Entertation Index that Kate Gosselin’s hairdo revision was the most important news ever.  I realized, though, that as of 9/17, pictures of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s missing tooth hadn’t yet hit the mainstream media.  They were released probably in response to an ACLU Freedom of Information Act request only after being declassified by the Defense Department.  Look at the picture, but be prepared to be shocked.

Even though human history includes people with two heads and parasitic twins, the article and comments state that at three years old, Shiloh is too young to have lost the tooth naturally.  What we’re looking at here is obviously a case of tooth rot, child abuse, genetic abnormality, or divine retribution.  Less sinister explanations would leave nothing to write about, and celebrity photographers would not be able to charge what I make in a year for such candids.  May the Almighty protect young Shiloh from her notoriously brutal and sadistic parents.

2. Actresses’ Bodies:

Many serious articles, books, and dissertations have been written about Hollywood’s obsession with physical appearance and how it creates body image issues.  This blurb isn’t one of those, because there is only so much you can fit in a few paragraphs.  Think: who was the last young woman whose acting ability made the news?  Dakota Fanning, only because the press can’t legally sexualize her yet because of her age.  (They’ll do it as soon as they can—see Miley Cyrus.)  Everything else you’ll read or see concerns Audrina Partridge’s and everyone else’s boobs, which over-40 actress has the best beach bod, and Jennifer Love Hewitt’s “new” body after she was slammed for *gasp* showing cellulite at the beach.  I ain’t sayin’ I don’t like looking at pretty people, but if you’re going to criticize an actress please do it for her work, like this: the two episodes of Ghost Whisperer I’ve seen were overly dramatic, poorly written, sappy pieces of crap.  But JLH is hawt!

3. Lindsay Lohan Doesn’t Really Lose It in Manhattan Hotels:

This one has to go under “Basic Tenets of Journalism: Research and Confirm.”  Several “sources” reported that Lohan threw dinner trays in a hotel room and got tossed out of a club after throwing herself at Josh Hartnett.  Yes, Lohan has long stoked tabloid fires for stormy relationships and diva behavior, but how about doing some fact-checking first, rather than just assuming this stuff is true?  It turns out Lohan wasn’t even in NYC when the events in question took place.  See folks, this is how rumors and libel suits get started.  All it takes is a call to a rep before going to press to make sure you don’t get sued.  Wait, insinuation and innuendo are the real goal, and truth and facts take a back seat to sales?  Perhaps I don’t understand this industry as well as I should.

We’ve all been hoping for photos of the family – wish granted! Angelina Jolie, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt were just spotted getting some new toys at Toys-R-Us in Toulon, France.

Would you believe that I was actually somewhat surprised that there is a Toys-R-Us in France? I wonder what it’s called – is it called Toys-R-Us like in the US, or is it a different french name? Hmm…good question.

Anyway, I love how the kiddos are dressed! Pax has got the army pants going on, Princess Zee has a loose skirt much like her mom wears, and Shiloh…she’s fabulous! Looks like Shiloh is pretending again, although I don’t think she’s Peter Pan this time. Looks more like she’s a pirate with the vest and sword, doesn’t it? And I think she’s wearing one of daddy’s hats!

So do you guys love the new photos or what?

It’s only 3 out of 6 but c’mon, that’s half of the clan right there.  Shi looks like she’s a total daddy’s girl, down to wearing Brad’s chapeau.  Z’s inherited mom’s fashion sense, along with her love of long skirts.  Pax is keeping up the testosterone, amidst the barrage of Jolie-Pitt ladies.

Sometimes, they’re in L.A., sometimes they’re in France.  But there are two things that are constant: paparazzi and Mommy & me time. 

Ang is in her usual black getup, looking thinny thin and Shi is still unfamiliar with a barette, comb or ponytail holder.  You’d think that with a long mane like Mom’s, one of the many people charged with keeping the family fed, looking good and safe could comb one little girl’s hair.

I absolutely love Shiloh Jolie-Pitt photos! Wait, I love any photos of the family! And I always feel like we get lucky whenever we get to see some new pictures.

Angelina and Shiloh were spotted shopping in Ajaccio, France today (those time zones mess me up!) and it looks like the two of them were having a great time! Shiloh has a cute little toy (I’m wondering if it’s for her or for her little siblings?) and Angelina, who is always so gracious with fans, looks to have spent a few moments talking with a few people.

Shiloh is getting so big, isn’t she?! I can’t believe how much older she’s looking recently!

I love that Angelina and Brad make special time with all of the children – it’s a very important thing to do no matter how many kids you have!
