His name is Freckles … I wonder why?

Mon chat Chewbaka a disparu ce vendredi 2 octobre 2009, en soirée, Clos Des Tilleuls 7 – 1428 Lillois Witterzée (Braine-l’Alleud)
Chewbaka est un mâle castré âgé de 2 ans et demi.
C’est un British Shorthair.
Il est tigré gris clair et lilac (lilas), ce qui lui donne des reflets roses.
Ses yeux sont jaune foncés.
Il n’a pas d’identification.
Il est farouche et très discret.
Chewbaka est parti faire son petit tour comme tous les soirs et samedi matin il n’est pas rentré.
J’ai fait une affiche que j’ai distribuée dans les boîtes aux lettres et j’ai placé une affiche dans tous les commerces de mon quartier.
J’ai téléphoné à 4 refuges et à la police de Braine en laissant mes coordonnées.

J’irai aussi déposer une affiche à la gare de Lillois et de Braine, je préviendrai également les vétérinaires.
Je suis très malheureuse sans mon chat et ma fille pleure tous les jours après lui.

Everyone reacts to the impending doom of unemployment differently. In my case I was optimistic, so much that when the time came to say goodbye to my ex-colleagues I had already mastered my unemployed plan: I was getting a cat. With this in mind I travelled the interspace looking for a breed of cat that would compliment me.

Turns out there are a lot of funny cats out there, some look funny, like the Selkirk rex – a curly haired cat with a dinosaur name:

The rest of them all look exactly the same but have ridiculous names like…

The Pixie-bob,
The snowshoe,
The Japanese bobtail,
The Turkish van,
The Californian spangled cat,
The ragamuffin,
The peterbald,
and the list goes on. Don’t believe me, google them.

Finally I found the exotic shorthair, a less fussy version of the Persian cat, affectionate, indoor and unbelievably cute. Her name is Trixy and here she is:

With my motherly senses tingling I have gone out and spent the money I dont have in collars, and beds and toys for Trixie. Mollys pet boutique in Dun laoghaire has a great collection of lovely things for your pet, chck them out.

Notre chat Berlioz, a disparu vers 16h, mercredi 8 avril 2009, rue Benne Brûlée – 5621 Morialmé (Florennes).
Berlioz est un mâle castré de 3 ans.
C’est un British Shorthair bleu.
Ses yeux sont oranges.
Il ne portait pas de collier car c’est un chat qui reste normalement à l’intérieur de la maison.
Berlioz est très amitieux et très sociable, il n’hésite pas à s’approcher d’un inconnu.
Nous avons fait des recherches dans la rue et dans les alentours mais en vain.
Nous sommes très inquiets car ce n’est pas un chat qui s’éloigne de la maison et de sa famille.
Ses petits maîtres sont bien tristes et inconsolables depuis sa disparition.
Si vous avez aperçu ou recueilli Berlioz prévenez-nous aussi vite que possible s’il vous plaît.

Tomorrow is May 8th.  It is also Erynnes 3rd birthday.

This post will be significantly shorter than this one, only because the back ground story is already out there.

Erynne is simply unique.  She has a fantastic sense of humor, her comedic timing is exceptional for a 3 year old (her favorite line is that’s what she said… I can’t take all the blame for it.  but it is hilarious to hear from a 3 year old little girl).  She never ceases to make me laugh.  Her laugh is infectious, it is a blend of mischievousness, joy, and just pure fun.  Slowly she has com around to loving the Red sox.  Before she used to taunt me and say “I hate the Red sox I love the Yankees.”  Her Favorite player is Hideki Okajima, just ask her to say it next time your together and be ready for a laugh.  She loves playing Mommy almost as much as her big sister.  She Loves her Nana and refuses to eat lunch with me at home when it’s “Nana day.”  I am amazed at how much she is capable of manipulation… It truly is an art.  She is Jedi like with her ability to manipulate people. 

She is still waiting for her hair to “grow up” since Collin cut it last summer.

Erynne is a tough kid.  One of her favorite things to do is pin Emilie down until she cries.  notice the size difference.

Erynne and Emilie have blessed me so much, and in such different ways.  They are like a romantic comedy.  Emilie is a cuddly little love bug and Erynne is a great dose of comic relief.  I love my girls more than they could ever know.

Have you ever bothered taking a look back to the late 60s, 70s, 80s, and even 90s? Have you ever tried to link the way certain things were done and how they are been done this days. Have you ever tried seeing a 60s, 70s, and even 80s movie, what difference do you see, what are the changes and connection to the ones of this days.

I saw this movie “EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS” and in this particular scene, he took me back to the 60s, to the JACKKSON 5 and he also took me back to growing up as a child. I realized that the trends are changing and everything is changing with it-movies, music, fashion, hairstyles and even me and you as individual. Though these things seem to be revolutionalizing, but to me, they are and will always be there…….

Any latinos out there with hair questions?

They always loved laying near eachother.

So far we have had two dogs. They lived with us together for a while until Cadie, our Jack Russel mix died about a year and a half ago. We actually had her put down as she was having trouble walking and wasn’t able to even go out to pee on her own. She was always a feisty and loving girl and we will miss her. Our other dog, Chubby, is about 5 years old. He s a  Chocolate Lab/ German Shorthair mix. He is everything I wanted from both breeds. He has the lean muscular body and face of a Shorthair, and the calm, loving, less high-strung personality of a lab. And he is quite the natural bird dog as well! He was called chubby by my nephews who owned his mother. He was the last one to come out and was the only chocolate one, and he was the fattest! But as you can see, he is not so chubby anymore!

So handsome!

He loves kids and is vary patient with curious infants as they crawl on him and check his eyes, teeth, lips, and ears. He also loves where we live as there are plenty of rabbits to keep him ever wanting to go outside and run around. every now and then he goes on a excursion if we don’t keep our eye on him. His trips vary from the neighbors (which causes problems) to the fields out back looking for deer or any other animal. We have kept a tighter watch on him when he is out and we are in. Other times, if I am working outside, he will just find a nice spot to lay and watch me work.

He really is the dog I have always wanted.
