The new MW2 patch has been released, I got it on XBL last night.

Pretty much the Akimbo 87’s have been fixed, (as greatly needed). I know a way around it though but won’t say because I hate it =P

Private match glitching no longer gives you XP.

10th prestige mod will no longer work! =( I was to late to give it a try and it was only out for 2 days.

I’m not 100 percent of what else come in there, but these are the big ones i’m sure everyone wants to know about.

Hopefully soon enough there will be a bypass to the patch so we can still 10th prestige mod. Like them dirty akimbo 87 users have a way around it.

Just as with the m16 it deals 40 in close range and 30 damage over
longer distances. The firing rate is quite slow so double tap
can be handy, with an attachment however it deals
20 damage over longer ranges so watch out when using a attachment.
It seems to have high recoil but the sights return to the
original place after each shot, but when you fire more
than 6-7 shot in one burst it also shakes to the right and the left.
Over longer ranges it is wise to fire in single shots.It is the only
gun to feature a different
grenade launcher, it has a slower reload time than the other
grenade launchers and also a slightly
shorter range. Sleight of hand can compansate for the slower reload.

The M4 is a very popular gun why? Because it’s good with almost
everything. It has almost no recoil but it has sway, so
you have to re-adjust your gun every few seconds, because it can
go off-target easily. It is not a strong weapon,
but it has a high rate of fire. Because of it enemies can be
still taken out quickly. Can be used as a mid-range sniper with acog
as stealth gun with silencer or good all-round with Red-dot. Because
of the low recoil, double tap works perfect on the m4.

Gun intended for medium-long range fights. Not really suited for close
range Deals 30 at long distance and 40 at close-medium range. It seems
to have high recoil but it returns to it’s original place
after every shot, even when fired at the maximum of 1200 RPM.
It has the highest accuracy of all assault rifles,so steady aim
is not really needed. When equipped with a acog, it seems to have
less recoil. The silenced G3 has a long delay when knifing in the PC version.

The G36C has the same power as the m4, but has more recoil and
a lower rate of fire, but also slower and less sway, an acog can be
used successfully because of this.

The M14 is basically a high-power high-recoil version of the G3.
It deals 40 over longer ranges and 50 at close range.
It has more recoil and thus when you fire when the sights are not yet
reset, it will fire in the middle of the resetting process causing
it to rise and probably hitting no-one. The Iron sights sometimes
obstruct your field of vision so Red-dot can be handy.

The good old gun which was often the favorite of COD 1-2 players.
In COD 4 however it’s still a good weapon to use, but the AK
got the same damage, higher rate of fire, and shorter reload time,
so only use it when you are up for a challenge, it also has no
attachments.

The MP5 deals 40 damage at close range and 20 at longer ranges,
it is the slowest firing SMG, but has the quickest reload and
is one of the more powerful SMG’s, works well silenced. It seems
to have low recoil,but after a few shots it will move the sights
to all directions, so burst fire at medium and single shot at long
range.

The scorpion can kill in 2 shots at close range, and 20 damage
everywhere else. The scorpion has the lowest ammo of all primary weapons, so
bandolier and sleight of hand can come in handy. It has even shorter
range than the pistols. The scorpion has no recoil, with Red-Dot
however, it gains some recoil but it still fires in the original position

This recent photo from TMZ captured Lil Wayne on his tour bus carrying a shotgun. This photo was shot in July 2009, three months prior to Weezy pleading guilty to his weapon charges. With Wayne facing jail time already, this could possibly hurt his senetincng time already set in February.

Once there was an old family friend who liked to hunt.  He trained hunting dogs as a side job, more like a hobby that paid occasionally.  As his primary job, he worked as a fireman, until he was laid off.  His lay-off was suspected for personal reasons; he was forced to take time to resolve heavy issues that affected his job and co-workers.

Hikers found the better trained of the two dogs, emaciated and skinny.  The dog stayed with its master day and night, right by his side, while the other dog did whatever untrained dogs do. The hikers also found the body of our old family friend.

It was suspected that he had stopped to tie his boot, and rested the gun in the crook of his elbow when the puppy, (the missing dog) leaped to lick his face.  Puppy paw came down in the trigger guard and BANG!  Accidents happen; life insurance paid the estranged family.  And I though privately, “Why was he hunting birds with buckshot?”

Today’s story is about birdshot.  I’d wanted to write this piece for several months, and now that it is Christmas time, now is the time.  It takes a really determined person to put a shotgun in their mouth and pull the trigger.  They have a will to die that is far greater that I will ever understand.  But if you are really serious about making such an ugly mess, use the ‘00’ and not the dove #8.

The story goes that there was a well know dentist, a little old fellow, kinda fat, who bought himself a trophy wife.  It was clear she was the type of woman that only greed attracts.  Nice nails, big fake tits, young and starving for attention.  She liked to drink.  She liked to drink alone.  She liked to drink alone with other men that were young like her and then go to his house and ‘drink’ some more.

Silly Mr. Dentist thought the hot wife he’d bought should drink at his house with him rather than in the ‘homes’ of other men.  In his ‘grief’, he loaded the shotgun and waited for her to come home. He let her have it—BLAM!  Peppered her arm and face with birdshot pellets, nothing near fatal, but no longer pretty.

He then put the gun in his mouth and pressed the trigger.  He may as well put an M-80 firecracker in his mouth.  He blew his cheeks out, disintegrated his teeth, shattered his jaw, and turned his tongue into a shredded party streamer.  He came to the hospital and I got to watch over him.

And as I watched over him for months, and as I saw the unfathomable amount of pain and reconstructive surgery, I thought, ‘Poor bastard, didn’t you realize how thick the human skull is?’  She said she had forgiven him and sent flowers every week.  The police waited by his bed every day.  Not only does he now have an artificial face, but he is possibly looking at time for attempted murder, or attempted manslaughter if he is lucky.

I could end it here.  But it is Christmas time.  I’ll leave you suicide junkies with a story of hope, well, sort of.

Before I took my evil job, and I was still helping drug addicts get clean, a good friend of mine invited me to see how the VA was confronting chemical dependency. One of the members of the VA was Native American and was running a sweat lodge to help anyone get clean and find God.  A sweat lodge, for those who don’t understand, is a purification and prayer ceremony practiced by the people who good Christians had slaughtered so as to steal their homeland and dig for gold.  I know I should just let it go, it was well over a hundred years ago that regular church goers had chanted, “good injuns are dead injuns.”  Forgive and forget, eh?  Maybe later I’ll write about the real General Custer and the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864.

So I find it ironic for a Native American to serve in the US Army.  It seems to be a way for them to escape the reservation system.  Try talking about sleeping with the enemy.

But the man I had met at the VA was a veteran of our military and he was Native American.  He, at one time, had been a drug addict, and it was clear that a shotgun had changed his fate.  Birdshot had removed most of his face and left him blind.  The scar under his chin spoke volumes.  I never had the courage to ask him what had happened, although I could connect the dots pretty easily.  He invited me to sweat with them, and I felt honored.

Here was a man who had found his faith after his incident.  Here was a man committed to sow seeds of peace through prayer and purification.  His sweat lodge was very hot, and filled with strong heart-filled prayers that I am sure the eagle carried to the Great Spirit.  He had tried to take his own life to escape his personal hell.  He was denied his exit, and now he leads other addicts towards their own freedom.

In the photo — taken on July 27, 2009 in Pennsylvania — Wayne’s finger is on the trigger of the weapon while several people crowd around him in the front of his tour bus.

Three months after this photo was taken, Wayne pled guilty to a weapons charge stemming from a separate gun-related incident in New York. He’ll begin a one year jail sentence for that crime starting in February.

A California neighborhood reportedly is up in arms after a resident decorated his lawn with a depiction of Jesus shooting Santa Claus.

The controversial Christmas display shows Jesus pointing a double-barrel shotgun at Santa’s dead body as Rudolph lays sprawled across the hood of a pickup truck nearby, WNCT reported.

Neighbors in Nipomo, Calif., called for the display to be removed, but its maker Ron Lake called it a work of art — in which Santa represents the commercialization of Christmas, the station reported.

Gun find soldier walks free from court

A former soldier who faced five years in jail after finding a shotgun and handing it in to police will be spending Christmas at home. Paul Clarke, 27, was given a 12-month suspended sentence for possession of a firearm at Reading Crown Court today. Clarke took the stand and sensationally claimed he had been having a sexual relationship with a female Surrey Police detective – and another police officer had grown jealous.

The 27-year-old was given the chance to give evidence in open court before his sentencing. He said: “I didn’t call the police [to tell them I had found the gun] because I was sleeping with the detective. Another officer has got a bit jealous and I have had a lot of harassment from the police since then. I also didn’t want to call 999, I didn’t want trigger happy police on my doorstep so I tried to call superintendent Harper instead.”

Clarke told the stand he repeatedly called superintendent Andrian Harper to make an appointment with him to hand over the weapon – found at the bottom of his back garden. Clarke told the court Mr Harper was not available for four days after he had found it. Clarke said: “I just said I had something to give him, I didn’t want to say I’d found a gun because then he would have sent lots of police around. It could have been a duplicate or an antique and to be honest I was more concerned I would be done for wasting police time, it never even crossed my mind I would be arrested.”

Clarke said it only occurred to him he would be in danger of arrest once he handed the gun in at Reigate police station.

Clarke said: “Adrian said I might have to caution you, he said I’d put him in an awkward position because he might have to arrest me. And I said to him ‘what do you mean, I’m handing it in?’. He said ‘it’s illegal even to possess it’ and I can’t said ‘can’t it be an amnesty, surely I can’t be arrested for handing it in?’, he then had an officer come in, arrest me, and take me down to the cells’.”

Clarke told the court, whilst he was in police custody, three officers made him sign a statement which stated the discussion he had had with Adrian Harper prior to handing in the gun lasted 20 minutes. Clarke admitted the statement he signed did not address the fact he had found the gun in his garden. But signed it because he felt he was not in any serious trouble. Clarke said: “At the time I didn’t know anything about these strict liability laws, I didn’t realise I was committing any crime.”

During cross-examination, prosecutor Mr Stalk queried whether Clarke had truly revealed he had found the gun during the meeting with Mr Harper. Clarke replied: “I can’t remember my exact words but I did tell him, and the police officers all asked me to sign that piece of paper and I thought it would be easier to cooperate.” He added: “At the time I didn’t think they were going to stitch me up.”

Summing up, Judge Christopher Critchlow said: “It was a highly unusual case and one in which there are exceptional circumstances that means it would be unjust to impose the minimum sentence. It is an exceptional case because you took this weapon to the police station to hand it in.” He said the fact Clarke had kept the gun for four days was “odd behaviour” and it was a “very serious matter” that he did not hand it in immediately. Judge Critchlow continued: “I therefore consider a term of imprisonment must be imposed to mark the gravity of keeping such a weapon and not immediately surrendering it to the police. I understand you were once a soldier and you in particular ought to have appreciated the danger posed by such a weapon. You should have asked the police to come and collect it right away. I find this was a strange matter, it may have been something to do with your previous involvement with the police, but that does not justify not giving immediate notice that you had such a weapon, and wanted them to have it.”

Clarke was sentenced to a 12-month prison term, suspended for one year. He is also under curfew for one night from 8pm until 7am tomorrow morning (Saturday).

Surrey Police responded to the sentencing at 4pm today (Friday), standing by their decision to pursue the case to court. A Surrey Police spokesman said: “Clarke was given the opportunity to explain the full circumstances of how this lethal and prohibited weapon came to be in his possession. This explanation lacked credibility and a report was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Surrey Police stands by its decision to investigate and make its case to the CPS which decided that it was in the public interest to prosecute the case in court, and Paul Clarke was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon. This case clearly illustrates the serious view which is taken of the possession of any prohibited weapon such as a sawn-off shotgun or shortened shotgun. Such weapons are frequently prepared specifically to be used in the commission of serious violent crime.” In the statement released to the media, the spokesman wrote: “Surrey Police is pleased that, having heard all of the evidence today, Clarke has been sentenced appropriately”.

Frankly, Clarke’s version of events has far more of a ring of truth than the poppycock spouted by the police who once again failed to bag their man.

Interesting that the BBC news report failed to mention Clarke’s shagging the detective, although to be fair they did air Clarke’s solicitor’s view:

Lionel Blackman, defending, quoted Home Office guidance, which said: “No obstacle should be placed in the way of a person who wants to surrender firearms or ammunition to the police. Following the sentencing, Clarke said: “It’s pathetic how Surrey Police have ignored Home Office policy. The Crown Prosecution Service has betrayed the public interest, all over a personal grudge. I think I should get a good citizen’s award. I’m the only victim here.”

At least one MSM rag finally took interest, with the Daily Mail giving it a reasonable chunk of column inches here.

Aside: just installed Windows 7, having a few bsod’s while I straighten drivers, and got the parents over for the weekend. Will try to get back and discuss this a little more later…

Well I got a chance to check out a few of the new Beretta A400 Xplors that Steve has been following pretty closely. The first thing I noticed was the wood. The finish appears to be a low gloss oil. I was quite impressed with the grain. It’s real figure, not added  “Wood Extra” seen on some Berettas. As with all production guns, some of the stocks were better than others. The stock shape is unique. It starts thick at the toe then thins and tapers forward to the knob of the pistol grip. From the grip forward it goes back to full thickness. It’s almost a reverse of a raised cheekpiece where the stock thins rather than the cheekpiece being raised out.

The green receiver looks good. I like it better than the stainless finish on some of the Urikas. The gun is lighter than I expected it to be. It  is lighter than an AL391 Urika and close to the 686 Ultralight over/under model. This is also available with the Kick-Off recoil system. While this is not new to Beretta autos, it does look a LOT better than it does on the Urika/Xtrema. I got a chance to take it partially apart.
The gun field strips the same as every other pump or semi auto shotgun on the market. Just unscrew the magazine end cap and pull off the forend and barrel. After the barrel’s off, you push the rotating bolt head in about halfway to line up a notch allowing removal of the bolt handle. This should prevent the handle from coming out while shooting. Here’s where it changes. The gas system, action bars, and bolt assembly all come out as one unit. The spring is captive as is the piston which are both covered by a plastic sleeve. For those familiar with the Browning A5, Winchester SX line, Remington 1100/11-87,  there’s no more messing around with friction, piston, gas, or O rings. This should be a pretty easy gun to clean. I didn’t take the trigger group out but it looks like the standard 2 pin set up.
The gun is priced competitively against the other high end autos on the market and the Kick-Off is only $100 more (a great thing for 3 1/2″ loads). I think what will make this gun sink or swim is whether it will cycle lower powered 2 3/4″ shells as well as advertised. If this will cycle the mild loads, it will definitely have the edge.

To give those who aren’t familiar with autos, here’s a list of how many parts you have to deal with:

Browning A5 – Standard/Lightweight – 1 friction ring & 1 friction piece. Magnum – 3 friction rings & 2 friction pieces! Non-captive springs. They have to be in the correct arrangement for the gun to work right.

Remington 1100/11-87 – 1 O-ring and 2 piston rings. Non-captive springs.

Winchester SX2 & SX3 – 1 gas piston and 1 piston sleeve. Non-captive springs.

Beretta AL391 series – This includes the Teknys, Urika 2, Xtrema 2, and a few others. They have a captive spring held back by the piston sleeve which is attached to the bolt carrier (and that’s connected to the knee bone…). It just has a gas piston.

Benelli Vinci – Inertia driven so no gas system but it takes “takedown” to a whole new level. I’ve seen people have problems putting these together.

The rest of the Benelli line is hit or miss as far as takedown is concerned. Some are incredibly easy and come apart like a pump while others have 2 halves that have to be lined up just right.

Yo, Yo, Ho, Ho… I can’t figure what spirit I’m in. Holiday? Or what. I’m in very good spirits about the SAINTS obviously (12-0, almost barely, but some vooodoo and luck can’t hurt when you are a SAINT).

Now let’s get to the juicy stuff. I like having a blog obviously, but it is limiting. I can’t talk about everything I would like to (Hi, Dad!) because internet. The very thing that allows me to have a blog restricts my ability to blog. I’m not talking about the ability to even connect to the internet, but rather there are just of lot of people I would like to talk about, and it would be very easy for them to find where I have told an embarrassing story about them. To be far the story would humiliate me as much as the other guilty/innocent party(ies). This is just a cold hard fact about the new age, which is why since the summer I have been writing my faux-memoir (because who at 23 should have a memoir unless you were boy solider or a drug mule at six, and I was only quarter of those things).

What are you talking about, Katnawlins?? Very good point italicized random questioner. I’m just saying I have so many tales of trobs for you that you wouldn’t believe, and I’m sure you would be shocked and horrified by, but in order to mostly protect the guilty I’ll refrain from sharing such tales. So, nothing juicy to share with you kind readers as I would love to.

I can share this video/song with you. It’s by Lily Allen, and it’s called “Not Fair,” and I’ve been listening to it a lot lately. It can say more about my life than I can. Ultimately, this song is not just about her partner’s inability to satisfy her sexually as much as his reluctance to. At first he seems like “Mr. Perfect”:hence the lines:

Oh he treats me with respect

He says he loves me all the time
He calls me 15 times a day
He likes to make sure that I’m fine

He seems perfect and you find out he doesn’t “make her scream” in bed.  Many women can relate (men, too), but what I find the most relevant is the act he’s putting on, which is why in the song she sings, “It’s not fair/ And I think you’re really mean/ Oh you’re supposed to care/ But you never make me scream.” He’s only nice to her because he wants to sleep with her, and not interested enough in making sure she is enjoying herself.

Sooooo your boys [the saints] had a crazy, crazy game on sunday. weirdest game i’ve seen in some time. between the interception-interception play among brees, moore (redskin) and meachem (saint) to suisham missing that beyond easy field goal that brought your boys new life. Hi George, you’re the first person from Utah to write in a question so exciting for me. Yeah, it was a very, very strange game and I’ll say we got more lucky than anything. Ultimately, I think the Red Skins dropped the ball so to speak. Jim Zorn should have gone for the 4th down, and trusted his offense could have made a touchdown (our D had been suffering all day, mad injuries). Instead, he picked the more conservative choice and went for the easy points with a field goal except as everyone knows the field goal was no good, and the rest is history. I’m going to go with a little bit of both because the Saints kept fighting all game, and they easily could have just said “you win some, you lose some,” and called it day, but they kept fighting, and that’s what champions do. WHO DAT!

2. You never did blog the next day about your thanksgiving. WHHHHYYY? – Colin (Redwoods, NJ)

Hi Staci, the album is okay. I like “Cold Case Love” a lot, but I think Justin Timberlake pens good songs for Rihanna (like “Rehab”).

Donna Jackson,a Lincoln county Oklahoma woman will not face any charges after she was forced to shoot and kill an intruder who was breaking into her home, while she was there alone.

She is shielded from prosecution under the Oklahoma…”Make My Day”…law, that protects victims from murder prosecutions when they are forced to protect themselves from imminent danger and bodily harm, by using lethal force.

It is a self-defense law, and it is appropriately applied to this case.

This past Saturday night, Donna Jackson woke up to her dog barking like someone was in her backyard. She went to her backdoor and sure enough she was face to face with a man trying to break in.

“Oh he’s getting ready to break the window,” said Jackson to the dispatcher.

Jackson immediately went and got her shotgun, hoping an officer would get there so she didn’t have to use it.

The intruder kept pushing his way into her house, and Donna Jackson, who was on the phone talking to a 911 dispatcher, was forced to stop him with a blast from her shot-gun.

Jackson shot Billy Dean Riley right in the chest, killing him instantly. Bye-bye Billy…you are ought of there…

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide but the sheriff says Jackson did what she had to do.

My personal feeling is that she should be given a police commendation, and a reward, as a message to all the other would be criminals out there, that this might happen to you.

The unfortunate thing about all of this is that Donna Jackson had to be put into a position to kill, that she obviously would have preferred not to have to do.

I am glad she is alive and well, and I can only say that I am glad she had her gun and knew how to properly use it. If she did not, she would have been killed herself.

She did the public a service.

Soo… a quick update on the Katt William mess, its been revealed that Williams was never actually arrested.
he was put in handcuff and questioned, police also search his truck in witch they did not find anything incriminating him to the incident.
as the search when on, williams claims they broke thousands in camara equipment.

Been trying to figure out the mechanism for this display today, and it’s proving harder than I thought! Basically, my ideas about the simplicity of the mechanism in a pump action shotgun were perhaps a little optimistic, as it’s a fairly complex beast once you get inside. However, I’ve had a go at producing something based on it as a means of dispensing the product.

From top to bottom, the mechanism works as follows:

1. Product is stored in a tube below the point where the customer accesses the product – behind the product, there is a spring, which pushes the items down the tube as the one in front is removed.
2. When the customer pushes the pump action (not illustrated on the diagram) towards the back of the spring, a small hatch within the unit is forced downwards, allowing a product to be pushed up into the retrieval area of the display. The spring pushes the next product into position.
3. The customer pulls the pump action back, and the product is raised up, sliding to the end of the display, and allowing easy removal. If not needed, the product can be pushed into the tube underneath, where the mechanism accepts it back into the magazine.

However – this is far, FAR too complex. It’s a complete faff to have something this fiddly to simply dispense a product, and it doesn’t have much in the way of capacity. So, in a similar vein, I looked at how a semi-automatic handgun pulls bullets from a magazine into the firing chamber, such as in this animation (Apologies for the dire music).

From this, I drew up the following mechanism as an approximation of how it could be used in a dispensing capacity.

1. Magazine is stocked with product, while the block in the exit tube prevents them from being released.
2. Customer pushes the tab on the front of the display back, allowing a product to drop into the exit tube – the size of the tube prevents more than one being released.
3. The tab is then pulled forward (or possibly pushed automatically by a spring), bringing the product to the front of the display to be removed. The customer can then place the item back into the magazine if they do not want it.

It’s pretty clear that this is a much, much simpler solution, as the gravity-fed magazine idea allows simple storage of a number of each product. Obviously the way in which items are re-inserted into the display needs to be dealt with, otherwise they could simply be removed that way too, circumventing the entire point of the display! I’m also not convinced of the layout, but I think I’m getting close… might be a long night, or an early rise… or both.
