Im staring at this Christmas decor to cover up my loneliness!

I cried last night. Yes its my birthday. I am suppose to atleast cry for joy and I guess I feel shuttered for a while. I regained my self though. So many bad aura around me. I need detoxification & life decluttering but I dont know where to start. Maybe Im really shuttered last night?

Now that I escape from home (AGAIN) I feel whole. I feel smart & I feel that my powers as a superhero is back. I learned from the past 30 years of my life I am always rescuing somebody & solving everybody’s problem & mishap while leaving mine hunging & nobody would even dare to lend a hand. I always cry. Its my way of coping. I cry if Im helpless.

I wanna build the puzzled life I had. A fun one. A beautiful one. My life is like a falls, it keeps flowing, giving so much fun to others while after the last splash we dont even know where to really go?! Weird. I guess life is weird, we just have to learn accepting the facts of life. Can I?

This time I should face the shocking news with full of composure & full of strenght. Strenght is hard to define. Nobody has this. Im sure nobody but God. We all have weaknesses & I guess those weaknesses makes us strong. Strong enough to overcome our own bad will & strong enough to say NO to all evil.

Federal regulators late Thursday afternoon seized Coral Gables-based BankUnited, FSB, the largest bank based in Florida, and sold it to a newly formed savings bank with the name, BankUnited.

BankUnited’s new ownership is a consortium of investors that includes John Kanas, a veteran New York banker who will head its operations beginning Friday, May 22, and New York-based investment firm WL Ross & Co. The investors are putting $900 million in capital into the bank.
Bank United, FSB, had $12.8 billion in assets and $8.6 billion in deposits as of May 2.

The bank had been suffering heavy losses, stemming mostly from its portfolio of “monthly option” adjustable rate mortgages. South Florida condominium units were prominent among its growing volume of non-current loans and foreclosures.

BankUnited had been under regulators’ orders to find a buyer or raise capital, and regulators had been directing those efforts since late last month. A change in control was widely expected by the end of this week.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. said others in the investment consortium are: Carlyle Investment Management L.L.C.; Blackstone Capital Partners V L.P.; Centerbridge Capital Partners, L.P. LeFrak Organization, Inc; The Wellcome Trust; Greenaap Investments Ltd.; and East Rock Endowment Fund.

The WL Ross-led group was one of several groups that reportedly submitted bids for BankUnited.

BankUnited’s 86 branch offices, all in Florida, will be open Friday during normal business hours. All deposits acquired by the new owners will be insured by the FDIC.

Customers can continue to use BankUnited, FSB’s, checks, ATM cards and debit cards. Checks drawn on the bank will continue to be processed. Loan customers should continue to make their payments as usual.

On Thursday, The U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) acquired the banking operations, including all the non-brokered deposits, of BankUnited in a transaction facilitated by the FDIC.

The FDIC, as receiver, then arranged the sale to the group led by Kanas and WL Ross.

RemmiDemmi, the name of our common kitchen during erasmus. The name was taken from our theme song: Deichkind – RemmiDemmi (Yippie Yippie Yeah). It was supposed to be a party logo, a known brand among the local party people So I decided to create a logo.. How to do that. As one might say, the song is about destructive party energy, so I started from the idea of shuttered glass.

The first drafts looked like this. I rasterized a type layer and randomly cut and moved pieces of the text, to make it appear shuttered.

Did not look tooo good. So I was a bit more carful when doing ‘the cuttings and movings’. Just select a part of the rasterized text with the polygon lasso tool, move it, then select the next one, and so on. As you might see, I tried to imitate glass shards. I think I also used the liquify filter. So this is my next try:

Looks a bit better, we are approaching the final logo here. I decided that I would not get far without a real image of shattered glass. So I took this one and layed it under the text, to have a template for cutting the text. And this finally made the logo look as I wanted.

I then tried with different font types, colors and so on. Here are a few other versions of the logo.

A bold gray try. Does not look final.

This one looks quite cool, but not everone liked the green color, so for the final version we decided to take the red one. Done!

Snapped on the morning of the alan fletcher exhibition visit, in the arches underneath London Bridge, this is a fine example of a design by accident. Look at the angle of that bottom sheet of osb. Creates a dynamic composition.
