Shut up.  We have no lobbyist money or taxpayer money funding our outrage.  We have no buses or pre-printed signs or t-shirts or fancy flyers.  We do not have 18 million dollars to spend on websites or organizations with millions in the account.  We do not have databases with hundreds of thousands of names or employment rosters to call upon or union memberships.  We do not have paid community organizers or people who have been “trained” to organize or rule books.   We have lots of volunteers and late nights and sheer force of will.  We have commitment and intelligence and passion.  And lots of poster boards and markers.  And we have pretty good senses of humor.  (Although, as Lady Libertas has stated before, if someone would like to pay me to do this, please call…please…like now is good!)

Shut up.  We have watched the Democratic Congress that came to power in November 2006 serve up the same things that I found offensive and upsetting that have been attributed to Bush.  Lest we forget, Presidents only sign the bills – Congress is really where it happens and by June of 2007, this Congress had reached an all time low confidence rating.  Interestingly, Obama said that he did not want to talk to the people who had made the mess, but since he was part of that Congress (briefly albeit) and since many of those members are sitting on the Hill with him, I can only wonder who he thinks made the mess?

Shut up.  Keep your lies to yourself.  How dare you stand in front of me and speak untruth and expect me to comply or believe anything else that comes out of your mouth.

Shut up.  Medicare is broken.  Medicare is a single payer system and most Medicare recipients have to pay out of pocket for additional Medicare supplemental insurance.  Medicare has 60 billion dollars per year in fraud.  Medicare has run out of money.  Medicare has lowered their reimbursement rates and passed the burden onto providers who have in turn had to pass it along to private insurance holders.  Putting an entire country on a system that cannot support what it has now is a disaster.  Keep your Medicare for All and let’s fix Medicare for Now.

Shut up.  There is nothing that can be said to reassure us that any healthcare plan brought to the board will be deficit neutral.  The CBO agrees with us.  Without analyzing the legislative language (how dizzying is that concept?!), the CBO predicts that HR3200 will add hundreds of billions to the deficit within a 10 year period.  The CBO Director was also told to shut up, but thankfully he did not.

Shut up.  Noone is going to Cuba to take advantage of their fabulous healthcare system.  Noone is making a run for the border to partake of Canada’s physician described “imploding” system.  The United States has some of the best healthcare outcomes in the world.  The World Health Organization life expectancy report is a ridiculous argument – it does not compare apples to apples.  Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic which are two of the top healthcare providers in the world have spoken against the proposed healthcare reform.  I choose to side with healthcare professionals rather than career politicians who are more interested in power brokering than listening to the people that they represent.

Shut up.  The AMA (American Medical Association) represents less than 29% of all physicians in the United States.  Their membership is split and many were shocked that the AMA came out in support of HR3200.  On 8/15/09, the AMA stated the following: “The AMA continues to oppose nationalized health insurance, and we continue to express opposition to elements of public plan proposals that we believe could lead us down the road to a single-payer system or ‘socialized medicine.’”  It appears that this is not the ringing endorsement that Obama has led everyone to believe.

Shut up.  AARP supports HR3200.  AARP does not support HR3200.  Obama says that AARP does support HR3200.  AARP says that they do not (today).  Since July 1, AARP has lost 60,000 members.  AARP should have shut up while they were ahead.

Shut up.  The main stream media may as well use the same teleprompter as the White House.  We are treated to more non-reporting and the liberal agenda promotion has become not just expected but blatant.  Youtube may just be the new network of the people along with Fox.  And those who do not believe that there is a strong Conservative base in the USA should perhaps refer to Fox’s ratings and market share versus other cable news outlets.

I was just talking to a buddy of mine about the bullshit known as marriage.  He told me about his older uncle who was married for decades, much like my grandparents and probably much like your grandparents.  I commented that you don’t see that in recent generations.  All of my friends are divorced at least once.  No one even remembers their high school sweetheart, let alone is still with the bitch.

The explanation is simple though, American women stood for something back then where now all they stand for is the all mighty dollar.  And on top of that they usually can be found pigging out on the nearest dollar menu at the local fast food joint.  Talk about fucking swine flu!!!

American women now are not even worth the effort it takes to even speak too.  They have no sense of dignity, they let themselves go to the point where they look like fat hairy men.  No wonder guys have a “mid-life crisis”, if your wife was fat and sporting a mustache, you’d have a fucking crisis too.

But I digress, back in the day women were treated like ladies because they deserved to be treated as such, but now fellas, treat them like the backstabbing overweight overbearing bitches that they are.

Hello again, I think you touch on a problem that a lot of women have when you talked about marriage magically transforming a guy. Too many women (and yes a lot of men) think that they can “change” or “save” someone. As if the other person is an old car that simply needs a new coat of paint and a tune-up.

And to what Zero said, he is right. If marriage was truly about love, then why does it require the stamp of approval from the government? Ceremonies are fine, but we are talking about a legal contract here. Look at Mel Gibson, I don’t recall his wife in any of his movies, and raising kids when you have nannies and millions in the bank isn’t exactly sacrificing for your children, but yet she’ll still get half.

Now what in the blue hell does being married and having kids have to do with growing up or settling down? Would I be more settled if I knocked the wife up a couple times and we had a mortgage payment or two? Is that settled? Is it mature to have to work until your 70 to support your kids when you could have retired at 50? That’s not mature, thats ignorant.

So in this blog, its comments, and the article that it refers to, we find the often spouted crap that men are animals until all knowing woman tames him, while she (the author of the blog) does not agree with that premise both her and most of the comments fall into the trap that if a guy isn’t married or have kids then he is somehow immature.  That taking on unnecessary debt and burdens is somehow “mature”.  The guy who worked hard and bought nice things is living a lie because nothing brings joy like having to work all your life for kids who will probably end up hating you.

Typical American woman bullshit.  They think that they have the magic vagina that can heal all wounds, well physician, heal thy self and try to do it without special programs just for women, money from guys you USED to fuck, or any other type of hand out.  Equal my ass!

“Never say never”, a phrase I hear often in connection with the prospect of remarrying. I wonder…..exactly how many times do you have get screwed by something to realize that it’s not working. Although I can see why women have this attitude, they have nothing to lose from marriage, they get to leave at the very worst, the same they came into the marriage. Now how many guys can say that?

But to be fair, not everyone was telling me to “never say never”. Of course the men understand, or at least the ones who are good with women understand, the manginas and pussy-beggars (to borrow a phrase from Thugtician), those guys view marriage as their only chance to get laid, as if marriage was ever good for that.

However my female friends and coworkers are actually split on this often touted advice on remarriage. When I looked at who said what, it broke down nicely into two distinct groups. The hotter and younger women agreed, which makes sense because they are in their prime also and for now, have no shortage of men at their disposal, so no surprise that they are not worried about things. The other group, the group that clings to marriage even though several of them are failures in marriage (divorced), they have at least one or more of the following attributes. Over 30, overweight, average or below average looks, uneducated, and/or no career (needs a provider).

So basically the only ones who believe in marriage are the men and women who have no other options. Some things you can say “never” to. Show me a person who doesn’t ever say “never” and I will show you a person who is not a leader. I’ll show you someone who cannot make their own decisions. I’ll show you a loser.

I was recently on one of my favorite websites, nomarriage.com, this site kicks ass, here’s what I found there, its worth reposting, enjoy fuckers and go visit this guys site and buy his ebooks.  Trust me, they are worth it!

American men have options. American women do not. So the American women huff and puff, and scowl at the incoming foreign brides who don’t demand the feminazi equality bullshit. You WISH American men didn’t have choices. You’re like a labor union that’s pissed off because the company is hiring non-union employees.

American women also have several options: 1. Be a free fuckdoll. (That’s not a bad option by the way. More and more women embrace it. I say produce more “Sex and the City”-like shows and accelerate the trend. It certainly beats the other options.) 2. Live alone with 10 cats. 3. Single mother in permanent poverty.

What American women think about it is not relevant. It’s just supply and demand. American women are still desperately trying to sell their shit sandwich, but the gig is up.

1. They can get sex without marriage more easily than in times past.

2. They can enjoy the benefits of having a wife by cohabiting rather than marrying.

Additionally, American guys have millions of foreign women who are dying to marry them. Lower divorce rate and no feminazi attitude.

So quite honestly, it doesn’t matter if they’re fat/skinny/ugly. It’s not about what’s fair. It’s about what you can get. American men get what they want: easy casual sex from American women. Foreign brides with low divorce rates and no feminazi attitude. And American women get cats.

Deal with it.

Women are the ones who are insecure and needy. Women are the ones who want companionship and emotional attachments. Women are the ones who are afraid of being alone and unloved forever.

Just go to the bookstore, and look at the magazines. An entire section for men: porn magazines. And entire section for women: weddings and brides magazines.

Strange thing, cause for so long I’ve been quite a horndog, chasing women at all levels. I’m still totally attracted to foreign women…Indians, Orientals, Europeans.

But show me an American chick and I basically couldn’t care less. Tell me how “beautiful” she is…doesn’t matter. I suppose from an intellectual viewpoint I can see the beauty, but it’s not any more attractive to me than…let’s say…admiring a beautiful horse or a well-groomed cat. OK, admirable, but not sexy folks.

They say that sex is 90% mental…well, my mind has rejected American women completely.

The point is, women in their 30’s, who are career oriented, are extremely UN-desirable to most men, as wives. Those women are getting more and more undesirable as the years pass…in fact by about 35 they are more or less out of the running completely.

Men, on the other hand, are at their peak of desirability, as potential husbands, at 35, and they remain at that peak for many years. A 40 year old guy who is a decent success can ALWAYS find a 30 yr old woman who would jump at the chance to grab him.

Take away the women beyond the marriageable age (over 30).
Take away the fat women.
Take away the ugly women.
Take away the psycho Zoloft / Prozac women.
Take away the raped women.
Take away the women with STDs / HIV.
Take away the women who can’t cook.
Take away the women who already have kids.

And you’ve eliminated 99.9% of the single women in this country.

60+% of college graduates are now women and it’ll be 66+% in 5 years.
Educated women only marry men who are at least as educated/successful as them.
A large percentage of educated men (25-50%) either do not want a family at all or will only marry uneducated/stay-home type women or foreign women, etc.
So out of 100 graduates we have 60 women and 40 men. 10-20 out of these 40 men will not marry any one of the 60 women. That means that there is 1 eligible man for every 2 women if you estimate very conservatively, or more realistically close to 1 man to 3 women.

Why, oh why did I ever give up the freedom of living alone?

On top of that marriage will shrink your social circle quicker than 50 degree water will shrink your nutsack. And God forbid you want to have friends of your own. Mutual friends are worthless because they amount to nothing more than eyes and ears for the wife when she’s not around.

But what do I miss the most about living alone? Sex with different women? Doing whatever I want, whenever I want?

No, what I miss most is the silence. I miss not being criticized and nit-picked to death at every turn. If women are such great multi-taskers, then why the hell can’t they just learn how to sit down and shut the fuck up.

The answer my friends, is twofold. I shall describe the two reasons here:

The boredom comes from both overall lack of a social life currently (well not really, just a lack of sex) and from the fact that I just get bored easily. Gotta problem with that?

I have been working mostly in secret on a couple of new projects, the details of which I cannot freely divulge at this time. Suffice to say that I decided I wanted to learn more about how wordpress.com worked.

After many long years holding out, I finally had to get a mobile phone. During my time without one, I was a true social aberration. Just try telling someone you don’t have a mobile phone. How do you live life? (I eat and sleep, like you.) Do you have any friends? (Not really.) How do you talk to people? (Have you heard of email? I can also talk.)

The fact is I hate the things. I hate the glazed eyes, the tongue hanging loosely from between their lips, when people play with the flashing buttons. I hate how loudly people talk on mobile phones, anytime, anywhere, regardless of how far they are from my eardrums. Do I really need to find out from two feet away at 90 decibels how hard you banged Lucy last night? And have you ever noticed that 50% of all mobile phone conversations involve detailed explanations of where the user is? “I’m sitting on the bus… I’m at Broadway and Granville… No, the other Granville… Ya, in front of GM Place… Dude, I’m looking right at you. Look up, look up…. whoooyaaaa!” Worse, unlike smoking, I don’t have the choice of walking away. Many of the most horrific instances have occurred stuck on a bus or waiting in a long line because people talk longer and more animatedly when they are bored. The sum effect of mobile phones on human behavior is akin to getting behind the wheel of a car: even the prettiest doll can be turned into a goading monster.

Including myself. I have suffered through the advanced stages of cellrage. And unlike the sources of my misery, I was not born with a pleasant disposition, continually struggling against my urge to smash phace and fone. I am well-aware that my woes can be solved with more technology: sleek new tongue-holders, more sensitive phone mics, and red man-earrings bearing tiny Warning! signs would surely clear up the many misunderstandings between me and my interlocutors. I would also probably possess fewer assault charges. Then again, loosening laws protecting mobile phone users from assaults would also help.

My point is that we need to be more inventive about how we as a society deal with violent offenders. I should tell you, however, that at night when I lay my head down on my pillow, I just wish that people would stop using mobile phones.

En favorit bland UBS var Joel Kennedy, som kom på besök i workshopen redan dagen innan festivalen startade. Där berättade han historien om mannen som kallades “Shutup” och hans två söner “Manners” och “Trouble”. Joel är från Kenya.
Ung Berättarscen följde med Joel Kennedy på gatuteater. Vi tågade iväg från ABF-huset till Hötorget och första anhalten blev Koncerthusets trappa.

Micke Öberg började presentera Joel men då var han redan igång. Ingen tvekan där!

Trumman trängde igenom allt torgbuller och Joels röst är en tordönsstämma. Ganska kvickt hade en publikskara samlats.

Långdans mellan Hötorgets häpna lördags-
flanörer. Efter Joel kommer Micke och sedan Calle Björklund.

 
Vi var imponerade över hur Joel lyckades få med gatupubliken i berättelsen. Utan att de fattade hur det gick till spelade folk plötsligt roller i berättelsen.

En andra gång berättade Joel historien om Shutup, men nu var det vi i publiken som var Shutup, Manners och Trouble. Och senare samma kväll hörde vi en tredje version i Z-salen. Det var intressant att se hur Joel lyckades variera en berättelse beroende på situation eller publik.
