Bolsos XXL; Se siguen llevando los maxibolsos, y a cualquier hora del día. Los más llevados…los de asa corta!

No te pierdas este bolso de Loewe, es la versión rockera del clásico Amazona, lo veremos mucho esta temporada!

Botas; Esta temporada suben hasta por encima de la rodilla. Más casual estilo mosquetero o con taconazo tipo matrix. Mi consejo…no explotar demasiado este accesorio, ya que no siempre es lo que mejor sienta…Pero como siempre adaptarlo a nuestro gusto!

Botines, Para un look rockero u otro más sofisticado. Esta temporada hemos visto los botines con vestidos, pitillos, pantalones rectos…el caso es que sean todo menos sencillos, con hebillas, pelo, cordones e incluso tacones joya!

Pulseras, anillos y collares; pero esta vez a lo grande . Collares gargantilla y largos,mezcla de pulseras y anillos…pero eso sí, este inviernos apuesta por lo grande, que no pase desapercibido!

A categoria de perfumes é uma das que sempre achei complicadas para avaliação de propaganda. Diferenciação de produto e beneficio funcional são praticamente inexistentes.

A estratégia de comunicação/posicionamento é sempre focada em segmentação de público alvo baseado em atitude. O problema é que as execuções ganharam contornos Hollywoodianos e as interpretações das modelos são uma lastima. Ou seja, como entregar uma estratégia de segmentação bem sucedida se a execução é tão ruim (não a produção, claro. Mas atitude vem de interpretação)?

Uma das poucas execuções que me recordo de romperem esta barreira execução-estratégia é a propaganda da Hugo Boss com a Siena Miller. Ela está tão bem que é fácil entender o público alvo. Olhe a propaganda de TV aí embaixo:

Desde o seu surgimento os G.I. Joe/ Comandos em Ação sempre tiveram a intenção de agradar os meninos, com os bonecos, suas armas, naves, histórias de guerras e muita ação, seja no clássico desenho ou nos quadrinhos. E ação não falta em G.I Joe: A Origem do Cobra, a esperada adaptação aos cinemas, dirigida por Sthephen Sommers (Múmia 1 e 2 ) que soube pegar história original e fazendo algumas mudanças conseguiu fazer até agora o melhor blockbuster do ano, apesar que seus concorrentes (Transformers 2, Wolverine) não eram dos mais difíces de superar.

Na trama conhecemos os G.I Joe um grupo de soldados de elite que reúne os melhores militares do mundo e que usam e abusam das mais modernas tecnologias para lutar contra a organização terrorista Cobra.

A história é recheada de referências às diversas fases dos Comandos, com direito algumas falas clássicas do desenho e utiliza os famosos flashbacks para contar o passado de cada personagem, diferentemente do que foi escrito em outros lugares, os flashbacks são curtos e só servem para fazer as ligações entre as histórias e não atrapalham em nada o filme.

Meu maior medo em relação ao filme foi a falta de cuidado com o elenco, já que pelo jeito a maior parte da grana investida foi gasta nos milhares de efeitos especiais do longa, mas até que as escolhas foram boas. O general Hawk era meu maior medo já que ele foi intepretado pelo canastrão Dennis Quaid, felizmente ele não atrapalha, principalmente porque aparece pouco. A versão de Duke (Channing Tatum) do filme é bem parecida com a do original e as atuações do ator não atrapalham, já Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) que no filme diferentemente do desenho é negro e não branco, parece ter sido colocado no elenco só para dizer as falas engraçadas.

Heavy Dutty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), o especialista em comunicação Breaker (Saïd Taghmaoui) estão bem fiéis ao seus originais, sobre a linda Covergirl prefiro não comentar, assista ao filme e você irá entender o motivo. Como já esperava os ninjas Snake Eyes (Ray Park), que ficou igual a versão original, e Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) roubam a cena, com as melhores lutas, os melhores flashbacks, só não ficaram perfeitos por uma escolha na história que vai desagradar muito os fãs.

Mas os grandes destaques e surpresas do longa estão do lado do mal, com os Cobra, a Baronesa (Siena Miller) com sua beleza e muita sensualidade, se por um lado a atriz exagera no drama em algumas cenas, por outro lado demonstra uma boa química com os outros integrantes do elenco. O ótimo vilão Destro (Christopher Eccleston) com sua arrogância, e os dois importantes personagens na trama, o rei dos disfarces e grande assobiador Zartan (Marlon Wayans) e o Doutor (Joseph Gordon0 Levit), que foi uma grande surpresa tanto na trama quanto na sua atuação.

Stephen Sommers usa e abusa da computação gráfica nos efeitos especiais, em algumas batalhas chega a ficar exagerado, mas é inegável que as cenas de ação foram muito bem montadas, sim elas não são nada realistas, mas afinal estamos falando de uma adaptação de um desenho, ninguém vai ver um filme desse esperando mortes e explosões como acontecem na vida real.

G.I Joe: A origem do Cobra é entretenimento puro, não pretende e nem deve ser mais do que isso, deixa ganchos para eventuais continuações com seu bom e surpreendente final e irá trazer boas lembranças para os fãs desse clássico que marcou uma geração.

This morning I came across an article by CNN.com calling Korea’s Lee Byung-hun the “James Dean of Asia”.  In this article here, you will find a report on Lee’s recent visit to London to promote his movie “The Good, the Bad, the Weird.”  Lee has been a star in Korea for sometime but not certainly someone I would have thought to have captured the “James Dean” title and quite frankly, this was the last movie that I thought would have catapulted him into international star status.  Speaking for a few friends, I think “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” easily wins my “2008 Worst Movie” award – certainly the strangest thing I’ve seen in awhile and the biggest waste of my time. I couldn’t make it to the end – I left nearly 2 hours into it. 

Nonetheless, Lee Byung-hun is not just filming here in Korea anymore.  He has recently finished “G.I. Joe” with stars like Siena Miller and Dennis Quaid in Hollywood. Next year he will co-star with Josh Hartnett in crime thriller “I Come with the Rain.”  If his popularity with women and Asian audiences so far is any indication, who knows, Lee might just be the next Asian face in Hollywood.  It seems that he is, somewhat surprisingly, off to a good start.

I was lucky enough to attend a preview screening of the new Beeban Kidron film last Thursday, set to be released later this year called Hippie Hippie Shake.

The upcoming British film, from the Bridget Jones 2 director, follows the love story of Oz magazine editor Richard Neville and Louise Ferrier as Neville and his associates launch the London edition of satirical magazine Oz, the radical magazine that put them on trial for publishing sexually explicit content.

Set in 1960’s London, Hippie Hippie Shake, which has been in development since 1998, is a fascinating portrayal of the memoirs of Richard Neville.

Starring Cillian Murphy and Sienna Miller the film captures the time period effectively presenting both drama, sex and drugs against a setting of media scrutiny and restrictions. Oz sets out to do something different, to redefine the form and produce a radical magazine which will change the way people think. Appealing to the neglected youth and engaging them with the issues that matter to them. However as time progresses these intentions become blurred and the true agenda of the magazine questionable.

While the film is not going to appeal to the mass market, the story, which before seeing the film I was unaware of, is of particularly interest to those interested in journalism.

Not only does the film address issues of writing and publishing, as well as the hard graft of being a journalist, the later half of the film focuses heavily on censorship, morality and ethics. The court case scenes raise a number of issues which I have reguarly come across as a trainee journalist.

Without spoiling the plot, Neville and co find themselves in court facing charges of indecency, particularly involving one case with Rupert the Bear. The trial of obscenity raised questions over government censorship and freedom of the press. The arguments presented from both sides equally stand but the conflict lies in a misunderstanding of the magazines intentions, the smut which is at face value has hidden meaning. However I won’t enter into details. See the movie.

Colourful, funny and dramatic this is not only a good film it is educational too. A good document of history that many journalists and non journalists will enjoy. Also look out for Germaine Greer.

Have you noticed that in the past year there have been more girls with shorter hair? Well, that’s because more and more women cut their hairs according to the trend. Fashion is constantly changing from one thing to another. If something gets popular, it no longer becomes the “in” thing with designers and models trying to individualize themselves from the common public. Especially when it comes to hair, it’s easy to predict the upcoming trends either: short or long. With the pendulum affect in fashion changes, women are starting to grow out their hairs for 2009. So how do you transition from short hair to long hair? Well, here are some suggestions:

The Cropped Bob: This style became really popular in 2008. It’s a little extreme with the bangs and really stands out, but any woman who can pull off this look; screams to the world, “I am confident!” Not to mention it looks cute with a sort of tom-boyish charm on Katie Holmes.

The Pixie Crop: Shorter and more dazzling. A natural progression from a cropped bob. This style is far less subtle than the cropped bob and gives off a more younger/ funkier vibe. Expect to see a lot of the pixie crop for 2009.

Victoria Beckham:

The Bob: The popular hair trend that started earlier this year. This trend is still very popular and will definitely continue through the next year.

Hayden Panettiere:

Above were variations of short hair, but like I said before, the trend is moving towards longer hair. There are a few ways to do your hair that were very popular on the fashion runways for 2009.

Flowing Long Hair: A little wave with a split in the middle.

And to finish off…surprisingly the last hair trend is the milkmaid braid. This look was pushed by Sienna Miller back in 2007, and will be back for the next year.

So, you have two choices: Cut your hair shorter and go with the variations of the bob or grow out your hair and be the first to try out these different looks. Now that you know the new fashion hair trends, be a little daring and show the world how beautiful and how “in” style you are!
