Here is this week’s effort, Sif comes now as she is, of course, Thor’s wife, but with information about here being a little thin on the ground, my description was, of necessity, based on modern presumptions of her role.

Again, the beauty of the pictures shines through, there’s nothing like a beautiful goddess to inspire devotion!

Over the next few weeks, I’ll do Freyr, Freyja, and if I can find any suitable pictures, Tyr. I fear that pictures will start getting thin on the ground quite quickly now.

• We men work in hazardous environment for them
• We men Work in odd hours.
• We men Work for more than our half of life for them

• We men who never get parental leaves like female use to get maternity leaves
• We men who suffer from all devils of society like false charges of rape, dowry, molestation etc. even though we became victim many times.
• We men always get biased judgements from judiciary even though we have maximum number of lawyers and judges as male.
• We men get comparatively higher punishment for the same kind of crime commuted by women.

So when it time for welfare why always fund / support / advertisement goes in favour of female??

If they can start one campaign we men can start thousand campaigns against them. Don’t taste our patience..

The Story: Bill’s final fate is determined while Sif and the Warriors Three battle the doombots.

What’s Good: If you approach this book as just another 22-page issue of JMS’ run on Thor, it really is pretty solid and is consistent with the series’ quality as of late, at least as far as the writing is concerned.  It’s also got a couple of moments that’ll have you saying “hell yeah.”

Chief among these scenes is one involving a very angry and very naked Volstagg that is a perfect combination of comedy and pure awesome.  It is, of course, that same combination that defines the character himself.  The sequence is outrageously badass, but maintains Volstagg’s characteristic charm.  Oh, and Hogun and Fandral are absolutely on fire this month with the fat jokes.

Most readers are probably coming to this issue most concerned about the fate of Bill.  At first, it’s hard not to be a little disappointed.  That said, if you expected him to scream “I HAVE THE POWER,” turn into a god, and battle Doom, you’ll be sorely disappointed, but really, such an ending would be just a little stupid.

Instead, Bill’s ending is the best he can manage by just being Bill, and so Straczynski maintains the integrity of the character and his sub-plot.  Make no mistake, he is a hero and, ultimately, he is accepted as an Asgardian, but he does so without abandoning his humble roots or acquiring superhuman powers.  Bill’s tale has always been about being a mortal, a little guy in a world suddenly populated by the very large.  Bill’s fate is only so poignant because JMS retains this theme; Bill remains that little guy, but even so, he manages become a hero among the biggest of the bigs.

Meanwhile, JMS leaves us hanging regarding Kelda.  I think we all suspected she was more powerful than she let on, and now we’re going to see that in action.

What’s Not So Good: It’s hard not to be a little underwhelmed by this issue.  JMS’ run has had such an epic quality, that it’s hard not to expect his final issue to be grander.  What we get isn’t really any sort of massive flourish or cataclysmic ending.  Rather, we just get another solid JMS issue that simply lives up to the quality of his previous issues, no more and no less.   This final issue really has no feeling of closure and though the cover may say “finale,” that’s not what we’ve gotten.  That said, the issue also didn’t contain the sort of “hot potato” landmark shift in status quo that writers often leave off their runs with.  Ultimately, this feels like the last issue of a story arc, but certainly not the last issue of a run.

Finally, this may be the worst looking issue of Thor that Djurdjevic has drawn.  While the art is by no means unbearable, it’s weak by the standards Djurdjevic and Coipel have set for the series.  It reeks of an artist desperately trying to make a deadline.  The level of detail continually falters, with many of the more zoomed out shots and smaller panels suffering a great deal.  There are also a few panels where Donald Blake looks like a substantially younger version of himself.  Having three different inkers on the book also certainly didn’t help, making the book feel even messier with its details even more in question.  It makes the book feel sloppy, chaotic even.

Conclusion: It’s a strong issue of Thor, but it’s not the “finale” it claims itself to be.

A visit to the DGP’s Office, with a letter regarding the delay in the case, set the ball rolling, and the CI Dr. M. Chandra Shekhar gave  his testimony in court on the seventh date after summons were first issued to him. His testimony took place around Deepavali time, and that really brought new light into our lives. Things have moved quickly since, and the arguments of the PP and the Defence Counsel have been completed.

How many different versions are there of data standards? There is a lot of talk nowadays about data standards in the education space and the need for data standards. The Gates Foundation have become standard bearers of that cause (Sorry- couldn’t help myself!). Secretary Duncan has said it is one of the key parts to education reform. There is a great cry and hue for National Data Standards. The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) both are pushing for state-lead leadership in this domain and emphasizing its importance, and CCSSO is driving the national academic content standards on bahalf of the Chiefs and in partnership with all the majopr players. I couldn’t agree more with this emphasis. I have given much of my recent life to empower and support data standards of all kinds. However, I find myself in many conversations where people use the term “data standards” and I find myself quoting Inigo Montoya from _The Princess Bride_:

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means!”

There are many kinds of standards. To begin a conversation for, ahem, standardizing on some we need to start by determining what kinds of standards we are talking about. In this post I will start listing some standards. I started thinking about this topic newly when my friend BethAnn from Virginia’s Department of Education disturbed our post-conference-session drinks with the question of “What do we mean by standards?”.

There are many ways to think about that. One way is to think about “de facto” standards versus “de jure” standards vs specifications. I think it is important to recognize which ones we are talking about.

“De jure” standards are standards set by law, by some authoritative body that has a mandate and the power to say how it goes. In the National Data Standards movement we need to be cautious that we are clear that we are not creating a mandate but an agreement by consensus. If people perceive that the United States Department of Education (USED) is telling them how they need to do their data systems, many will dig their heels in and it differently only because they can. On the other hand, if USED does not take a stand and display leadership then many will not take it seriously. It is a difficult balance we will need to strike. The “http” and IEEE standards are good examples of technical “De Jure” standards as are the various state’s academic content standards.

In fact “De facto” standards are what we need- standards that arise out of use and agreement as THE way to do something not out of an authority but rather out of consensus. That, unfortunately, will require a great deal of communication and more bandwidth between users, state education agencies (SEAs), and local education agencies (LEAs), and vendors than exists right now. The Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) specification has become in fact, in many ways, a “De Facto standards for interoperability in the k12 space, as the Postsecondary Electronics Standard Council (PESC) has become for post-secondary education. The NCES Handbooks are another example of this kind of standard.

Specifications are “a” standard way to do something rather than “the” way. SIF, PESC, and Dublin Core are all examples of specifications. These are easier to pull together but less likely to get adoption because of the lack of authority. This gets blurry when some states start to mandate SIF for example and thus essentially turn the specification into a “De Jure” standard.

So that is one lens to view standards through. I wonder what the dictionary has to say… according to Merriam-Webster Online 2009:

Interesting – so we need to stand hard.

It could be argued that this conversation is a rallying point in the battle for education reform!

Unfortunately some of the players jockeying to control the National Standards Movement have this in mind rather than the good of education in this country! No, dear reader, of course I am not talking about you!

4 : something set up and established by authority as a rule for the measure of quantity, weight, extent, value, or quality

Pretty clear.

5 a : the fineness and legally fixed weight of the metal used in coins b : the basis of value in a monetary system

Nope. Not this one.

This is my favorite- we are building the national data standards as a structure built for or serving as a base or support.

7 a : a shrub or herb grown with an erect main stem so that it forms or resembles a tree b : a fruit tree grafted on a stock that does not induce dwarfing.
8 a : the large odd upper petal of a papilionaceous flower (as of the pea) b : one of the three inner usually erect and incurved petals of an iris

Ahem. I really didn’t know what to write about this one! We certainly don’t want to induce dwarfing in our education system.

9 : a musical composition (as a song) that has become a part of the standard repertoire

Okay. That was fun. But that isn’t even the end of it. There are also different domains of standards.
SIF is an interoperability standard – it creates a blueprint describing how educational data can be moved from one system to another. PESC is the same except its scope is postsecondary, and SIF’s scope is K12.

The NCES Handbooks and the National Education Data Model (NEDM) are content standards. Although NEDM is more of an aggregation of all the standards and data sets out there than a standard itself.

The standards about what a student must know, or the assessment benchmarks that a student must hit are curriculum or academic content standards.

There is a lot of confusion about these different domains and when we are speaking in this national dialogue it is important that we are clear which domain, type and definition we are using.

It is my commitment that we will do this – and that what we build together as we start to build the National Data Standards is clear and that our approach is, well, standardized.

El Mundo Marvel de esta semana llega ahora en un rico viernes, en donde por fin podemos decir que la ajetreada semana se ha acabado, vamonos riendo por que el tiempo apremia:

 Los herederos de Kirby van por  todas las canicas, siguiendo el ejemplo de los Shuster, los Kirby pretenden conseguir los derechos  de personajes co-creados por el rey, se dice que  podrían pelear por los derechos  de Hulk y los X-men a partir del 2014, por otro lado, se ha especulado que podrían  pretender pelear por los derechos de Spider-man, que aunque los créditos originales  del personaje mencionan a  Stan Lee y Steve Ditko, se sabe de buena fuente que Kirby fue el que diseño el traje del Spidey, además de darle forma grafica a personajes como la Tia May, J. Jonah Jameson y otros cuantos personajes esenciales del universo arácnido, esperemos por el bien del futuro de los personajes y de los fans, que este asunto llegue a buen término, aunque debemos decir que esto, es un tema del que ya se sabía que en algun momento iba a suceder, por la expiración  de los derechos de autor de los personajes registrados, asi que en guerra avisada no muere soldado,  a lograr un buen acuerdo chicos…. Hablando de los X-men el actor que encarno a Cyclops en X-men Origins: Wolverine, Tim Pocock, mencionó en su espacio en Twitter  que  X4 comenzaría a filmarse pronto, lo que provocó una andanada de reacciones y comentarios de los fans y medios especializados especulando sobre esta película,  luego parece que Marvel corrigió la plana  y mencionó que  aún no hay planes concretos  para dicha película, que la que si está en proceso es la de Avengers, según escribio en Twitter Brian Michael Bendis, que ya se está planeando todo, pero sin revelar mas detalles, que a estos chicos les encanta hacerse los misteriosos…

Octubre es el mes Zombie en Marvel, según lo que el estimadísimo colega Hgarza nos informó hace unos ideas, y debo decir que comparto su opinión, una idea  que en su momento fue una idea fresca, ha terminado deformándose en un monton de quien sabe que cosas, la verdad es que ya chole con esta cosa de los zombies, aunque no podemos negar que  la idea de hacer un mes zombie  tiene sus  buenos puntos, por aquello del halloween y el dia de muertos, ya muy cercanos en el horizonte…

 Y hablando de cosas terroríficas, Marvel Mexico ha anunciado su siguiente Monster Edition: La Guarida del Horror, en donde se presentarán relatos ilustrados de  Edgar Alan Poe,  ilustrados por Richard Corben, una decisión controvertida, por que si bien hay quien agradece un Monster Edition donde no  se aparezcan ni Spider-man ni los X-Men,  si  la mentalidad de Marvel Mexico ha sido atraer a los lectores jóvenes, cosa que  si han logrado, en un notable incremento  de circulante de cómics, ahora se presenta una edición para  conocedores del medio y sobretodo de las historias de terror, veremos como funciona, y ademas ahora que se ha anunciado   el servicio de preventa, algo con lo que muchos fans no han quedado del todo contentos, este nuevo monster al que algunos llaman el sustituto de la malograda Dark Tower…

 Proyectos fílmicos que aun siguen adelante, como el de Thor ha anunciado a la proxima favorita de los Fans Jaimie  Alexander (Kyle XY) y tambien se anuncio a Colm Feore, de quien se ha mantenido el misterio y no se ha informado cual será el papel que interprete, pero  la señorita Alexander se ha  anunciado que el papel que interpretará es el papel de Sif, el interés amoroso de Thor y debo decir que para encarnar a una diosa, solo una diosa puede hacerlo,  les garantizo que causará suspiros en mas de uno, como ya lo hizo con la  modesta serie de imagenes que les pusimos aca…. siguiendo con la onda fílmica,  se anunció de repente  que Ghost Rider 2 viene a la carga y de la mano de Nicholas Cage y David Goyer, recordemos que Nicholas  tuvo un desaire muy fuerte con el asunto de Green Hornet y  recordemos que ya viene la película de Kick Ass,  que pinta bastante bien en donde también participa Nicholas,  a mi la película de Ghost Rider no me ha parecido del todo mala, tuvo sus momentos, incluso me pareció genial la idea de meter al Ghost Rider Original, si, el del oeste, que traia sus pistolas y su caballo siniestro… pero la crítica no compartio mi opinión y destrozaron la película, por algo será

Por hoy el espacio se ha terminado, pero antes de irme tengo que decirles que proximamente tendremos aqui en culturacomic una entrevista EXCLUSIVA con un excelente artista del medio de los comics, asi que estense al pendiente, será algo genial…..

A gatísima atriz Jaimie Alexander (Kyle XY) e o ator Colm Feore (24 Horas, A Batalha de Riddick) se juntaram ao elenco de Thor. Jaime será a guerreira asguardina Sif, já o papel de Feore não foi confirmado, só que ele interpretará um vilão, especula-se que ele será Mephisto.

Ele se juntam a Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) e Natalie Portman (Jane Foster). O roteiro foi escrito por Mark Protosevich (Eu sou a Lenda) e a direção será de Kenneth Branagh.

A história passará do reino de Asgard aos tempos atuais, conheceremos Thor, um poderoso e arrogante guerreiro cujas ações intempestivas despertam uma guerra antiga. Castigado pelos deuses Thor é enviado à Terra e forçado a viver entre os mortais. Aqui ele aprende o real significado de ser um verdadeiro herói, depois que o seu maior vilão envia as forças negras de Asgard para invadir a Terra.

A participação da personagem Sif era previsível, mas extremamente necessária para a história, e a atriz Jaimie Alexander tem o perfil fisíco perfeito para a personagem, Outra boa notícia se for confirmada é a participação do personagem Mephisto, um dos melhores vilões da Marvel, felizmente Colm Feore tem bastante experiência como ator para interpretar o terrível demônio

Thor estreia em 20 de maio de 2011.

Director Kenneth Branagh has added two more actors to the growing cast of his adaptation of the Marvel Comics-based Asgardian epic, THOR; already, Branagh has plucked Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston out of relative obscurity to fill the weighty roles of the titular God of Thunder and his sinister half-brother, Loki, God of mischief, alongside veteran and geek favorite Natalie Portman as romantic interest, nurse Jane Foster.  Now, Jaimie Alexander steps in as Sif, a powerful Asgardian female warrior, and the remarkably awesome Colm Feore in a role the Hollywood Reporter described as “shrouded in mystery.” 

Personally, I think this project has a lot of promise; Branagh’s previous directorial efforts demonstrate his penchant for opulent sets and art design, both of which will be absolutely requisite in capturing the realm of Asgard, where Gods and Goddess live alongside mythical creatures and magic.  The addition of Feore, however, is really exciting, as Feore hasn’t really had much mainstream exposure despite his fantastic turns in films like TITUS and THIRTY-TWO SHORT FILMS ABOUT GLENN GOULD, as well as television fare such as the Stephen King mini-series STORM OF THE CENTURY or one of the most recent seasons of the Fox series 24.  He’s chewed scenery before in the problematic but underrated CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, too, but more importantly, Feore, along with primary antagonist Tom Hiddleston, brings a caliber of acting pretty uncommon for comic book movies.  It also doesn’t hurt it looks as though he’s channeling Peter Cushing in the above picture.

THOR is growing more and more into a project into keep your eye on; there’s a lot of promise already being shown, and this really out, that’s a very, very good sign.

Diferente da maioria dos filmes em produção, Thor é um daqueles que não solta notícias o tempo todo, então a espera fica cada vez mais forte quando novidades aparecem. Se A Natalie Portman já era bom para o papel de Jane Foster, namorada de Dr. Donald Blake, a outra metade humana de Thor na Terra, o Deus mais sortudo da Marvel ainda acaba de ganhar a sua parceira em Asgard. A Guerreira Sif acaba de encontrar a sua pele, corpo, olhos verdes/dourados de matar na atriz Jaimie Alexander.

Ela pode ser vista na série Kyle XY (que só eu conhecia até o SBT começar a passar), E além dos olhos capazes de prender a sua atenção para cada detalhe do que ela fala, a atuação da garota é muito boa, pronta para rasgar inimigos com uma espada, e como você pode ver ai na foto, a semelhança vai ajudar bastante.

Em outra nota o ator Colm Feore foi escalado como um vilão que a identidade ainda não foi revelada.

As filmagens devem começar em 2010 e o filme, dirigido por Kenneth Branagh (“Frankenstein”), é parte do projeto Vingadores da Marvel, que também conta com filmes do Homem de Ferro e Capitão América.

CHIEF EXAMINATION:

Presently I am working as Asst. Audit Officer at Directorate of State Audit, Hyderabad. Previously I worked as S.I. of police at WPS Saroornagar from June 2005 to February 2007. On 28/12/2005 received a complaint from Smt. Pappu Malathi, W/o Anil Kumar R/o Saroornagar stating that she got married to Anil Kumar, S/o Suryanarayana Murthy on 18/08/2005 at Kakinada. After spending 10 days with her after the marriage, her husband went to USA. Suddenly on 13/10/2005 her husband mailed her that he does not want to continue the relationship with her. She was harassed by her husband and sister-in-law mentally. Her family members tried to contact her husband but received harsh replies from them. Later she came to know that Mr. Anil Kumar and Mrs. Uma Gayathri landed down in India as their father is ill and admitted in Care hospital, clock tower, Secunderabad. As such she requested to stop Mr. Anil and Mrs. Gayathri to escape from India. Based on the complaint, the Inspector of police Saroornagar registered a case in Cr. No. 1125/05, U/s 498-A IPC and transfered it to me for further investigation. I took up the investigation and examined the complaint and her mother Smt. Sitamahalaxmi and recorded their statements. From the evidence collected arrested the accused A1 and A2 on 28/12/2005 at 22:30 hrs and remanded them to judicial custody. After finishing the further investigation filed chargesheet.

CROSS EXAMINATION BY THE DEFENCE COUNSEL:

On 28/12/2005 at 21:15 hrs I took up investigation. I was physically present when I received the file for further investigation. I do not remember whether I made entry in the G.D. about receiving of this file. It is true that it is mandatory it is enter in the G.D. when ever we received a file for investigation. I started investigation immediately after receiving the file. I personally did not apprehended the accused but personally I don’t know who apprehended the accused. On the same day i.e. on 28/12/05 at 22:30 hrs the accused was apprehended. I have instructed the subordinates to apprehend the accused. On 28/12/05, PW1 & PW2 were present in the police station at that night. I didn’t on the day received the file I did not examine PW1 and PW2 on the next day I have examined them. It is not true to suggest that only on the basis of FIR, I apprehended the accused. It is true that it is not mentioned on Ex. P1 that the accused have demanded anything prior to marriage or after marriage are any valuable things given to accused. It is true that PW1 made a request to go to America. It is true that the only grievance of PW1 is the accused denies to continue the marital relationship with her.  It is not true to suggest that on the request of PW1 and PW2 I did not depute my subordinate with out examine the PW1 and PW2. It is true that on 29/12/05 subsequent the arrest of accused. I have recorded the statement of PW1 and PW2. It is true that in the statement of PW2 it is no way concerned about giving of any dowry of giving additional dowry. It is true that in the PW2 statement in the no way harrased the A2. It is true that in the PW2 statement it is no way mentioned that the accused behaved rudely and demanded for any customary ceremony. It is true that in the statement of PW2 it is no way mentioned elders of accused and between them re counsel the matter. I have not put any efforts to examine any relatives of either side to know actual crux of the dispute. I don’t remember except recording of these two statements on 29/12/05. whether I have done any investigation or not I don’t remember. It is not true to suggest that no offence is made over against accused without any investigation only to satisfy PW1 & PW2 and to stop the accused abroad and filed a charge sheet.

IMPORTANT NOTE: At the time when the Sub-inspector/Investigating Officer, G. These professionals work at nearly 4,000 establishments enrolled with the Department of Products of Animal Origin, which belongs to the Agricultural Defense Secretariat (Dipoa/SDA) to attest that the foods produced meet all of the sanitary requirements and best practices in manufacturing.

This is an odd place to begin play reporting, since we’re several sessions into our campaign of A Song of Ice and Fire, based in the world of George R.R. Martin’s books. It was also the last session for at least a month, as the GM has some other obligations that will keep her busy on our gaming nights for a bit. I’m tempted to write up a back story, to bring my readers up to date, but I don’t think I will. I’ll just do a quick introduction of each of the PCs, and then get into the thick of things, breaking to explain events from past sessions only when necessary. More information on this campaign can also be found at Out of the Night, We Still Come! (which is a blog set up by me for our GM).

One of the great things about SIF is that players are encouraged, even expected, to create their own minor house. We did that, and ended with a very old house that’s fallen on some very hard times. The house is named Straasa, and our motto is “Out of the night, we still come!” which suggests the tenacity that is fairly characteristic of this house. By the end of house generation, both our Population and Wealth traits were ridiculously (and dangerously low). Are lands are technically part of the North, but only barely. Our keep, Castle Swampstone, lies in the swamps just north of the Riverlands, near the Saltspear. Here’s a brief rundown of the PCs, who make up the majority of the major players of House Straasa:

• Dayne Straasa: Dayne is the second-born son (age 18) of Straasa’s Lord Benton. The elder son, Conrad, was killed some time ago, so Dayne is the heir apparent. He’s led a pretty easy life so far, but with the ailing health of his father, he’s started to involve himself more and more in house policy and politics, and, despite some early fumbles, shows the promise of real leadership (if he can stop biting off more than he can chew). He’s recently become engaged to Lady Saryah of House Wyl, in Dorne. The wedding is scheduled to occur in about 8 months.
• Ser Vaughn Straasa: Dayne’s younger brother (age 17) who has only recently returned to Swampstone. He had been fostered with House Wyl of Dorne, and the relations he built there (with help from the soon-to-be-described Alec Straasa) led, in part, to Dayne’s engagement. Vaughn returned to Swampstone as an annointed Knight, quite an accomplishment for a man as young as he is. There’s been some tension between him and Dayne, as Dayne tried to determine if Vaughn posed a threat to his position. Dayne’s engagement offer was accompanied by one for Vaughn as well, to Lady Saryah’s bastard cousin, Norie Sand. Vaughn is quite interested in Norie, but also quite unsure of himself around women (or at least her), so little progress has been made in that regard.
• Ser Alec Straasa: 38 year old brother to Lord Benton, and therefore uncle to Dayne, Vaughn, and their young sister, Amelinde, Alec is an older, experienced warrior, and master of the bow. He fought in Robert’s Rebellion, as well as Greyjoy’s Rebellion, and has built himself quite a reputation. With Benton’s ill health, Alec has taken up many of the duties of diplomat for Swampstone, travelling throughout the Seven Kingdoms on behalf of Straasa.
• Anton Snow: Anton is the 15 year old bastard son of Alec Straasa, the one stain of dishonor on Alec, as far as Dayne is concerned. Anton only came to Swampstone a few years ago, and quickly became the target of Dayne’s temper, whether or not it had anything to do with Anton. Needing some role within the house, he joined the scouts that patrol the outlying swamps, and has proved himself among them. While a bastard, he does have some recognition due to his father’s reputation, which sometimes leads to expectations that Anton is not comfortable with. Anton is the most sexually experienced of the young PCs, but lacks any sense of commitment to his “conquests.” He’s recently upset a washing girl he was sleeping with when she was cast aside in favor of a visiting girl from Greywater Watch, Moira Reed.
• Ser Samnys of Tyrosh: Samnys is a hedge knight who has sworn his service to House Straasa.  He was a fighting comrade of Alec Straasa during Robert’s Rebellion, being present during the battle wherein Alec was knighted.  Beyond this, Samnys is rather veiled in mystery.  He has taken up the position of master-of-arms in the household.  He is responsible for providing basic training in sword and shield fighting techniques (among other, more stylized ones) to the young lads of House Straasa.
• Tabin Reed: An eleven year old boy from Greywater watch, who’s been living at Swampstone for a couple years. Usually seen with his owl, Verris. He’s known to be quite infatuated with Amalinde Straasa, youngest child of Lord Benton. He seems to have inherited some of the quirks of the Reeds, though he is still learning how to use them. Three of his cousins are currently visiting him at Swampstone. Moira Reed, her brother, Boan, and their younger brother Llyr.

Last night’s session picked up where we left off: at a tournament being hosted by Walder Frey. The first day had concluded with three victories out of three events for House Straasa: Tabin had quite dramatically and impressively won the squire’s event (meant to be a farce) of capturing an angry boar; Anton won a footrace; and Alec had dominated the archery contest. The joust was scheduled for day two, and the grand melee for the third day.

Tabin had had a vision, which he interpreted as meaning that Norie Sand was in danger, and probably going to be raped. Desmond Yronwood, rival to Vaughn for Norie’s affections as well as other things, was the likely culprit. And Tabin had forseen his own death at the tournament, though he oddly looked a few years older. To try to prevent this, he went to Dayne and Anton. Tabin signed on as Desmond’s squire. Dayne requested that Anton be placed in charge of Norie’s security. Officially accepted as such, Anton was still kept out of the loop much of the time with her personal guard laughing at the thought of needing Anton watching over her (it also didn’t help that Anton was quite distracted by the spectacle of the tourney, and his interest in Moira Reed).

That night, there was much drinking and celebrating among the Straasa camp. Desmond invited young Tabin to drink in celebration of his victory, and Tabin had too much (remember, he’s 11, and this was his first time drinking at all) and passed out. Anton spent the evening celebrating his own victory, with Moira by his side.

The next day, Straasa made a mediocre showing at the joust. Vaughn defeated the undefeated Ser Jacen Mallister during an early round, but didn’t advance far beyond that.

In the evening, it was learned that Norie Sand had disappeared the prior night, and had been found in a ditch, beat up and (assumed) raped. Tabin’s older cousin, Boan, was found dead. This was a moment of perfect execution by the GM. Boan had been described over and over again, as looking like Tabin’s twin, only a couple years older. Tabin’s vision showed him his own death, at this tourney, but looking a few years older, which confused him. When Boan’s death was revealed, there came that moment of realization that Tabin didn’t see his own death, but that of Boan!

I can’t remember if the melee the third day got cancelled, or if Straasa just withdrew in order to deal with everything else. Dayne met with Lord Royce of Runestone, a distant relation. Lord Royce revealed that he was responsible for sponsoring Vaughn’s annointment, and wanted a return on his investment. The meeting did not go well, and tension rose on both sides. Boan’s body had been found in Runestone’s camp, and Dayne reacted poorly to Royce’s manipulations of Dayne for things that Dayne would have gladly given had he only been asked. All in all, Lord Royce, powerful as he is, seems to be a prime shadowy enemy for Straasa.

The house has seemingly rallied around Boan’s death and Norie’s violation, and as we ended the night, the party has split into at least three pieces to investigate all they can.

The next session will be in October sometime, and eight months or so will have passed in game.

“Had an audition for the movie Thor today. Character description was “pretty, but sturdy with muscle”.

 Damn type casting. When asked by Chud what role she was auditioning for, Baird said she was sworn to secrecy:

“I cant say. I’ll go to jail. For real. Had to sign my soul away”

 A good guess would be that Baird is up for the role of Asgardian sorceress The Enchantress, considering that Natalie Portman will play Thor’s love interest, though it’s possible Baird is auditioning for Sif, another love interest of Thor’s.

Chief Examination:

I am resident of Kakinada working as Teacher. PW1 is my daughter. A1 is my son-in-law. A2 is sister of A1. PW1 marriage was performed with A1 on 18/8/2005 in Kakinada at Kantipudi Subbamma (Chaudry’s) Kalyana mandapam as per Hindu rites and customs. In the presence of elders the marriage was performed. At the time of marriage the A1 and A2 used to say opposite to anything we say on everything in the marriage about food, about every culture they threatened and behaved very bad. At the time of marriage the elders of A1 and A2 said that the saree is not nice the saree will be worn by widows and said you are very experienced when the white saree will be worn and that elder behaved badly. After marriage they asked PW1 to come alone with them nobody should come with PW1. As per the arrangements to honeymoon all the tickers were booked to Vizag and araku. I went to the station to Samarlakota when they are returning from Vizag. But they did not come to Kakinada. On 27/8/2005 started from Kakinada on 28/8/2005 A1 went to America. After marriage the PW1 did not enjoy the customs. PW1 said that I did not eat anything and food also I did not eat in that 3 days. On Oct 14th 2005 A1 sent a letter in email to PW1 in that letter A1 mentioned that we cannot live happily and we will put a stop to the marriage life and we both cannot live. After that I went to the A1 elders and talked with them and the elders said that we will talk with A1 and settle the matter. Elders said before the marriage that A1 is very good. But after the marriage the same elders said that A1 is very bad and he will not listen to anybody and we do not know about A1 before marriage at the time of marriage we came to know about him. A1 mother said that A2 will interfere in the marriage life of A1 and PW1 and A1 will do what A2 says and you ask A2 only about this matter and I am not concerned anything about this. A1 and A2 paternal uncles (babais) Ch. Jagan Mohan Rao, Someswar Rao, Satyanarayana Rao said we will settle the matter and we went so many times but they did not settle the matter. When A1 father was ill, as a courtesy sake I went to see him to the hospital at that time A1 and A2 were present there and came from America. And I asked A1’s paternal uncles (babai) to settle the matter and they said they will settle. On 28/12/2005 we went to the Someshwara Rao’s house to settle the matter. But the matter was not settled. After that they are going to America. So, there is no other way to me so I filed a complaint. Even after case was filed A1 and A2 asking PW1 to give extra amount for the court costs. A1 has cheated us and married PW1. A1 is not giving divorce and A1 is harassing a lot and he is creating a blog in the name of Malathi. Because of this we are facing a lot of problem mentally and physically and they are making nuisance in our relatives about us. Police made counseling to the A1 and A2 and PW1 but A1 and A2 did not compromise. Police examined me and recorded the statement.

Cross examination by defense counsel:

Yes I am working as Teacher. I did M.A., B. Ed. In Telugu Medium. Yes can produce the certificates. I know how to write and read English. The marriage of A1 and PW1 took place on 18th and 19th midnight. They went to honeymoon  between 24/8/2005 to 28/8/2005 to Visakhapatnam. On 28/8/2005 A1 left to America. It is true that A1 and PW1 stayed only for 3 days in-laws house. It is true that the marriage was registered at Registrar office in Kakinanda on 28/8/05. I have 4 daughters. Names are Saroja, Sirisha, Malathi, Neelima. Saroja’s husband is a software engineer in America. Sirisha’s husband is a chartered accountant in Hyderabad. Neelima’s husband is working in Genesis company in Hitech City. I paid 4 lakhs as dowry to Saroja’s husband. Witness adds that I did not give as dowry as a gift I gave as a cash. I paid 4 lakhs to Sirisha’s husband as cash not as dowry. I paid 6 lakhs to Neelima’s husband as cash not as dowry. All the marriages of my daughters took place between 2000-2007. No I did not disclose in the income returns about these amounts. Because of exemption to women I have shown Nil returns witness adds whichever amount I gave was pertaining to my husband. My husband expired on 1999 June 13th. I don’t have agricultural lands except one house that is ancestral property. I that house my in-laws are residing. It is true that A1 has sent papers got getting a visa for my daughter. I do not know whether A1 father was in hospital or not when A1 and A2 were arrested. I do not know due to the arrest of A1 and A2 they did not attend the cremation of A1 and A2 father. It is true that PW1 did not mention about dowry in the ExP1. It is mentioned in the complaint about the mental harassment but did not mention about the physical harassment. Yes it is true police recorded my statement I mentioned only some topics but I did not mention some points. It is not true to suggest that if A1 had agreed to for grant of divorce we would never have filed complaint. Yes PW1 had filed divorce case in family court witness adds that A1 is harassing my daughter at the time of counseling A1 said to PW1 it is better to give divorce now or after 4 years. I have given evidence in the divorce OP. It is true that I stated before the family court that since A1 and A2 were fleeing the country I help my daughter to file criminal complaint. It is not true to suggest that because A1 and A2 are fleeing from country I filed a complaint. It is not true to suggest that I did not stated before the police as I stated now. It is not true to suggest that because we want divorce from A1 and therefore I filed a false complaint through PW1. It is not true to suggest that none of the incidents spoken by you are true.

Pero tendremos que esperar, el rodaje del filme comenzará en Enero del próximo año y se espera que el estreno de la película sea en Mayo del 2011.
