La espectacular serie (de sonido y también de interpretación) que el sello Signum está editando con conciertos grabados en directo de la Philharmonia Orchestra de Londres, nos propone esta vez un doble CD con los monumentales “Gurrelieder” de Arnold Schoenberg, en la versión que el finlandés Esa-Pekka Salonen dirigió en el Royal Festival Hall, en febrero de este mismo año.

Entre los solistas destacan los nombres de Stig Andersen, Soile Isokoski, Monica Groop o Ralf Lukas, entre otros. Los coros fueron las Philharmonia Voices y el City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus.

Yesterday, I atteneded the second Pandatr0nics party. As most of you know, my camera’s battery charger is dead and I sent it to the NY Nikon branch for replacement. Therefore, I took no pictures during the event.

On a second note, Rin just came back from Japan recently, and he was also at the event. This means, I managed to pick up the stuff he bought for me during his trip!

Yeah…I succumbed to the poison that Mr Optic was spewing a while back and asked Rin to purchase this artbook for me. I’m struggling to stay up in order to recieve information on the event my friends are holding, so I didn’t open the wrappings yet.

Signum is my favourite character in Nanoha, and seeing as Alter’s Signum is too expensive at a time of tight budget, I decided to get the figma instead. I took her out and played her a bit. Figmas seems delicate so I placed her back in her box after a short bit because I was afraid of breaking things.

With all the stuff coming out later in the year and next year I’m glad he didn’t get me the WonFes Miku figure. Well, this is the first loot I’ve recieved in a while, and I’ve finally succumbed to figmas orz.

Yup Folks! It’s summer in the land of the rising sun and again they are celebrating Wonder Hobby for the Summer of 2009. Wonder Hobby is an exhibit of figure maker companies that showcase all their incoming figure releases for the coming month and year.

First stop we take a look at the new accessories for the FIGMA line, some plushie releases that we last saw at Mika-tan’s blog and Nendoroid Puchi K-ON!

Next are the Nanoha Figma Releases which includes Nanoha A’s Nanoha Takamachi, Fate Testarossa & Vita plus School Uniform Version of Nanoha together with Fate and figure related releases for the said title.

And now, for some Vocaloid releases and in particular in the Nendoroid category. We have Megurine Luka, Puchi Vocaloids which includes Rin, Len, Miku, Meiko and Kaito. VNO2 Version of Miku and nother Black Rock Shooter Figurine.

Also lined up for release is Figma Canaan and a 1/8 scale Canaan from GoodSmile plus KOS-MOS of XenoSaga.

Finally, the last batch of photos which includes Nendoroid Chiaki from Minami-Ke, Nendoroid Marisa Kirisame of Touhou, a 1/8 scale of Ogata Rina & MOrikawa Yuki of the series White Album and some Idol Master releases.

Figma Blog just updated with the incoming Signum figma which will be available around August of this year.

Signum is one of the Wolkenritters that appeared in the Magical Lyrical Nanoha Series. She wields the weapon named Laevatein and is a loyal person to their benefactor, Hayate.

The figma showcased Signum’s arsenal. It even has the final mode of Laevatein which was seen near the last episode of the series in Nanoha A’s. One thing that i noticed in this particular Figma line (Nanoha Series) is that the box is bigger compared to the other ones.

Again as stated, Signum is now available for pre-order and order at your local online shops and local shops worldwide.

First off, I’d like to say that the harbinger of the news is Yuuichi-kun. So actual credit should go to him. Please do drop by his blog and check it out, it’d at least make me feel better. So anyway, he posted the link to figma blog, which has just been uploaded with the latest pictures of the figma Signum, intended to be released at the end of this month (July 29th, almost literally the end).

Well, I have just finished Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s two days ago, and I haven’t had the satisfaction of watching a great anime since I’ve finished Fate/Stay Night early last year. It’s amazing, but the article on the series that  I’ve been intended to write have suffered numerous writer blocks and won’t be finished today (that and I have another article currently in production).

As for the series, my favourite character boils down between Fate and Signum. At the end, I had to give the edge to Signum, simply because Laevatein bow form is so bad ass. (Gosh I’ve been watching too much Deadliest Warrior)

I can’t say how much accessories a regular figma comes with because I don’t own any. But from what I see, that’s quite a lot. For me, Laevatein, it’s scabbard, the bow form and the arrow is enough to make it sell.

This is actually the sell point for me – Laevatein’s bow form. When I saw it I was like “Holy #&$^!”

From what I know, figma parts are interchangable, so you can put Signum’s other accessories in good use, such as this:

I got into Nanoha quite late, and almost all of the figures are discontinued, which really sucks for me. On top of that, I won’t be getting True Sonic Fate and Nanoha Excelion because I won’t have enough to spare for them with Saber Lilies coming in. Whether this figure is a get for me depends on what Rin brings back for me from Japan. If he doesn’t manage to get me what I requested, then Signum will be my August loot. If I don’t get Signum this summer, I’ll be sure to order her when I recieve my first 90 when school starts.

Partiamo subito dalla tracce di cui abbiamo già parlato su questo blog: Monsun e Break the Light non meritano ulteriori presentazioni; Sunset Boulevard è stata presentata in remix completamente nuovo e rivoluzionario: interamente dub, questa nuova versione è composta da una lunghissima parte centrale di violini, capace di regalare emozioni incredibili; Faces invece è stata suonata in questo nuovo remix curato da Ben Gold, parimenti valido alla versione originale.

Passando alle novità assolute, la copertina di giornata va interamente e totalmente alle due tracce di Misja Helsloot, semplici concentrati di pura e cristallina uplifting trance: RTFM, realizzata in collaborazione con quella vecchia volpe di Signum, è una bomba melodica di assoluta prima classe, che farà totalmente impazzire gli amanti del genere. L’altra Mel-Ody, realizzata assieme ad Onova, risulta essere un po’ meno energica della prima, ma si presenta con il classico stile melodico del dj svedese, capace di regalare grandissimi viaggi mentali.

Altro grande pezzo che merita spazio è la nuova produzione del belga Vast Vision: se Everything vi aveva fatto innamorare, non potete assolutamente perdervi questa Sandwriting, puro pezzo estivo, con una melodia capace di conquistarvi totalmente dal primo ascolto, realizzata in pieno stile Aly&Fila.
Sullo stesso livello di melodia va citata ovviamente anche Fast Lane: chi segue da qualche tempo i nostri articoli, conoscerà benissimo le indubbie qualità di questo produttore emergente.

Menzione anche per il nuovo lavoro di Ummet Ozcan, realizzato assieme ai due W&W: qui cambiamo completamente stile, passando a un pezzo puramente potente ed energico, capace di devastare qualunque dancefloor

Nella parte inziale del set, dove solitamente i Bpm sono decisamente più bassi, meritano attenzione il nuovo lavoro di Josh Gabriel, finalmente ritornato capace di produrre qualcosa di sentibile; Sin city, un’altra traccia estratta dal nuovo album di Dakota (aka Markus Schulz), remixata validamente dai soliti immancabili Cosmic Gate; e il nuovo remix di M&S54: generalmente non apprezzo molto le loro reinterpretazioni, troppo grossolane banali, ma questo pezzo è tutt’un’altra cosa, molto melodico e ben fatto.

Concludo questa lunghissima carrellata con Deep Universe, il nuovo remix di Mark Sixma: solito stile e solite sonorità dell’olandese, molto cupe e introverse, che meritano un’ascolto molto particolare, ma in ogni caso perfette come conclusione di set

Continuing from yesterday’s loot post, here’s more of what I received over the past week.  Three new additions to my wall are Alter’s Signum, Teana Lanster, and Louise in her seifuku.  My Alter figure count quadrupled all of a sudden. ^^;;  Teana and Signum are acquired from the HLJ anniversary sale, and Louise was from the HobbySearch sale.

I’ve been longing for this Alter Teana Lanster for quite a while, so this HLJ sale was the extra “motivation” to acquire her. ^^  I’ve been getting a lot of “extra motivation” from HLJ of late;  I hope they’ll give me some extra motivation for MegaHouse’s Haruka and Yayoi as well.

Awesome looking figure in a mediocre photo.  Sorry.  Teana was my favourite girl in the StrikerS series, but I liked her more when she was ambitious in the beginning.  Fate was cool and all, but Teana’s character really shines…to me at least.

She’s got a really nice pose to show off her thigh-highs and nice body.  She looks really cute too.  One complaint about this figure is the size of its base…it’s way too big.  It looks like I can only display three Alter Nanoha girls per shelf at the moment.  “orz

Really nice pose to show off her guns in dagger form as well.  I won’t be doing a review of these three girls any time soon, but meronpan already have them covered in his figures section.  Really nice figure indeed.

Signum, another figure that got some extra motivation from the HLJ anniversary sale.  She was quite low on the priority list, but since she was on sale I might as well grab her with Teana. ^^  Her box definitely commanded presence, it was huge to say the least.

The figure itself is huge as well.  She is a towering 13 inches from base to the tip of her sword…I know because my shelves are set 14 inches apart…I’m glad that I set them at 14 inches now. ^^  I didn’t realize that she was so big in the anime.

Another awesome figure from Alter with amazing details and a really nice pose…one more to add to my list of “standing on one leg” figures.  Aside from the large base, one complaint is that her sword covers her face when looking at her head on, but she does have lovely legs to feast your eyes on…until she pokes them out with Laevatein.  ^^;

Last of the Alter loot is Louise from Zero no Tsukaima.  I’ve only watched a couple episodes so I don’t know much about her…but she’s really cute.  So cute that I said I wanted a figure of her right away!!  You can find a really nice review of her over at paradigmshift’s blog.

Lovely figure that’s permanently mounted onto its base.  The first thing I noticed was that the finish on the inside of the base wasn’t as good as I’d expect from an Alter release, but she looks awesome nonetheless. ^^

More yummy thigh-high figures in my collection. ^^  So, did you hit up on the HLJ sale?  I just ordered two more Myth cloths from the HLJ sale as I was writing this.  ULTRA “orz
