It’s been a painting-free day, which is a rare occurrence for me in this run-up to the exhibition. Over the last week or so we’ve gone from winter to summer and back again. The random temperature fluctuations don’t seem to have distressed the city’s botanical inhabitants much though, and spring is not so much springing as flinging itself about.
