Brody Jenner spent his actual 26th birthday – Aug. 21 – in the hospital, so on Tuesday the Hills star threw himself a belated celebration at brand-new L.A. club Mi-6. Jenner and his guests – including best pal Frankie Delgado and, briefly, stepsister Khloe Kardashian – took over an upstairs table, where the reality star bounced up and down to live performances by rapper Too $hort and Dirt Nasty (a.k.a. actor Simon Rex). Jenner was loving the musical attention, especially as the acts would call out his name during their songs, and also perked up when waitresses brought over vodka, champagne, sparklers and a cake while the entire club treated him to a “Happy Birthday” serenade.

I’m just sad Simon Rex and Andy Milonakis beat me to the punch.  I have always felt this way!!  Have you seen the Ed Hardy store at the Beverly Center?  It looks like a crayon box exploded.  Poor kid in the video though.  He doesn’t know any better.  His Ed Hardy-loving parents must have inflicted this outfit upon him.  Someone call child services.

If you stopped paying attention to MTV about the time it traded Simon Rex for Carson Daly (a Stihl-to-Craftsman upgrade in the world of tooldom), let the music video medium suck you back in tonight. Moxie Cinema is screening the competing videos in the Rock On Music Video Competition, where local filmmakers teamed up with local bands to produce videos for songs. It’s the last chance to catch the videos on Moxie’s big screen and it starts at 7 p.m. Also worth noting: One representative from each video team is required by rule to be at the screenings, so if you like what you see you’ll be able to tell them in person. With videos made for Bender, The Black Raven Creative, Defected, The Love Breakers, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, STRIP and Worba, there should be an enticing variety of videos to see. Tickets for this and all of Moxie’s other Monday shows are $6. Consider it the music video artform’s “hello again,” with the added incentive of featuring bands you’ve supported in your music scene… and with no VJs anywhere in sight.

Há alguns dias, meu irmão caçula me indicou este vídeo na internet (quem disse que irmãos caçulas não servem para nada?). “Rex” é o episódio-piloto de uma possível série para a TV… é bom alguma emissora comprar a ideia porque eu simplesmente adorei o argumento, a história, o roteiro e o elenco.

Criado por Guy Shalem, o piloto narra as tentativas do ator Simon Rex (de “Jack & Jill” e “Todo Mundo em Pânico 3″) em voltar aos holofotes de Hollywood. Com roteiro e diálogos espertos, o show é uma jóia a ser descoberta!!

Mas o grande trunfo deste episódio-piloto, na minha opinião, é o seu elenco: além do carismático Simon Rex (que também assume a posição de co-produtor executivo),  também conta com a patricinha Paris Hilton (simplesmente hilária e dona dos melhores momentos do episódio), Lance Bass (ex-‘N Sync), Jaime Pressly (de “My Name is Earl”), Geoffrey Arend (de “Greek”), Victor Garber (de “Alias” e “Eli Stone”) e outros…

Só espero que “Rex” seja aprovado por alguma rede e realmente vá para a televisão e não se torne apenas um novo “Nobody’s Watching”, um show engraçadíssimo, que fez bastante sucesso na internet, mas nunca teve a oportunidade de ir para a TV… uma pena!

I was up in Northern California when this event went down on Saturday but my homie John from the ID AGENCY shot over these photos for me to post up here. I’ve seen other photos and coverage and all I can say it was an event that should not have been missed! Here’s a summary from John.

The event celebrated the collaboration between Travis Barker’s brand Famous Stars and Straps and artist Mike Giant’s brand Rebel 8.  A line was formed that went down the street all day long until the event ended.  Highlights of the event included: release of limited edition gear, live art piece by Mike Giant, music by The Alchemist, classic cars and lowriders on display, and appearances by Travis Barker, photographer Estevan Oriol, Simon Rex, Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy), and Ashlee Simpson.

A pilot of Rex just hit the internet today and this show is about Simon Rex and his journey to try to get back in the limelight. Paris Hilton is in this as Simon’s fake girlfriend, the cast also includes Jamie Presley, Lance Bass and many more. I just watched this episode and it’s really funny, it really takes a stab at celebrity life.

O que você acha de um seriado com Simon Rex, Paris Hilton e Lance Bass? Bom, eu também achei que seria ruim e… é mesmo! Pelo menos o piloto não me agradou.

Rex é um star´s realitty show com atores que gostam de rir e ironizar as próprias gafes.

Na história, Simon Rex é um ator que está “encalhado” pois não consegue desvincular sua imagem ao video pornô gay que fez quando era mais novo. Ele acaba entrando em desespero e contrata uma espécie de agente que é conhecido por suas estratégeas de marketing polêmico. O que o obriga a fingir que namora “a sem melhor amiga” Paris Hilton, para ver se consegue se promover e aparecer na mídia. Só que Paris não parece muito afim de ajudá-lo, então ele surta e tenta fingir um caso com o ex N’Sync Lance Bass, que finge que a história de ser gay é tudo mídia para ele também.

Pois é, tosco assim. é um realitty show moderno que está muito em moda nos Estados Unidos, como The Hills e  The City. Aqui no Brasil, acredito que não péga muito esta idéia.

Para ver o piloto da série têm que ser fã dela no facebook. Para você ter um facebook você precisa criar um. Para criar um você precisa entender como funciona aquela coisa bizarra… tipo, eu ainda bóio por lá.

Agora, se o seriado vai vingar, isso eu duvido muito. Mas os produtores estão doidos para vendê-lo para o showtime.

Vampires like to hunt at night, for these ones the desert is the perfect venue. The hapless victims are an unlikely trio of skeptic, hunter and infected. Desperate to escape, their only option is to kill.

Lots of desert motels, gas stations, old cars and accidental bites later, the trio are still fighting to survive the night right to the bitter end.

Horror is a bit dated and predictable especially the final battle but good story none the less. Not a whole lot of gore though.

Keeps you entertained and on-your-seat, check it out.

The Interface Foundation took two of our supporters Ami Manning & actor Simon Rex to visit the village of  Tzununá during the week of May 3.  Thanks to Stop Hunger Now we delivered 800 meals into mother/child care programs. 

The women of the village even helped us carry the meals to the center where we distributed them.

Continuing to watch Felicity Season 1 makes me remember how much of a crush I once had on Simon Rex (circa 1998). I love how his hair is kinda sticking up in weird places and it looks like he has no control over it. If I were Felicity I would have slept with him too. He was super yummy!

Pink is the New Blog has this: Simon Rex was “was spotted all up on Lance’s biz in West Hollywood.”  Hold on, though, before you get any less-than-wholesome ideas: word is they’re filling a TV pilot.  Something about a bromance. Yeah, right…
