Finally, I had the time to update this blog. I am currently on a holiday, waiting for my exam results. So, I would like to use this ‘opportunity’ to make a Sims 2 movie. There will be many changes around here, so I hope that everything goes well. After many months of disappearance, I think I’m guilty for abandoning my Sims 2 movie that is so in need of continuation, but then again, I’ve decided to discontinue it and start over with a new fresh one (which is officially going to be my very first Sims 2 movie), dedicated to someone special and my friends. Of course, the plot, sets, characters, plan, theme, genre, ideas, everything will be different than the previous.

As of tomorrow, I will be updating about the movie’s progress.

[I just started the apocalypse challenge. I'm gonna post the whole thing here. So let's start...]

Hi! My name’s Cole Parker, I’m 18, and my sign’s aquarius.

My childhood wasn’t a happy fairytale. More of a cinderella, before the ball, minus the step mother and sisters, and also my name would be cinderello. Ok, that was lame. My mother died of childbirth, my birth. Even so, my father never blamed me, instead he showered me with love and attention. Until one day, on my 10th birthday, dad died of a heart attack.

My parents were wealthy which left me a vast of fortune. I was still a minor then, so my aunt took me in. My aunt was never married, but she dates a lot. So most of her attention wasn’t with me, but I didn’t mind. I actually like taking care of myself. So I was glad when I turned 18, I was excited with the idea of living by himself in college. So right after high school graduation, my aunt drove me to my new home, she said that it was the last thing she’d be able to do as my guardian. Then with one last hug to my aunt, I was finally alone, ready to live out my young adult life.

I don’t like studying that much, but I know and understand my responsibility as a student. So I try to maintain my grade at A.

I’m a workout nut, I always strive to stay fit.

One of my passion is painting. I loves the brush, the color and the excitement I get when I find great subject.

When I’m stressed out, I like taking a walk around the campus, there I try to socialize a lot. Particularly with those students with brown jackets with a llama stitch on the side. I find them interesting, I often asked about their jackets, but they won’t give me a straight answer. This intrigued me even more. I love a good mystery. So I made friends with them. And then one night close to midnight…

I was sort of arrested by one of them.

I was more excited than scared, I wondered where they would take me. I thought finally, my questions would be answered.

When we got there, I thought wow, it’s a secret society, how lucky am I. They inducted me as their new brother, and I was happy join.

The first thing I see when I went inside, was this lie detector thingy. I tried it and yup, I am a bad liar.

I then went upstairs and saw this counterfeit machine, I don’t really have a problem with money, but I was eager to try it.

That was fun. I headed back downstairs, when I spotted Phoebe Pratt staring at this makeover thingy, I was curious so I watched as she tried it.

and then BAM!, just like that, it was done..

So I wasted not another minute and I approached her. We talked a bit, and there was an instant connection.

After that, I asked her for a bunch of dates. Until she finally agreed to be my girlfriend.

Throughout college, I divided my attention to myself, my studies and to Phoebe.

Then Graduation came..

I was still with phoebe..

and I graduated cum laude.

So here ends my young adult life. Tomorrow, I will officially be an adult..

Who knows what the future has in store for me….

I forgot to update yesterday because I was distracted by Sims 2 projects and my visiting teenhood chihuahua. My dad rescued her from the center median on a busy street when I was 15. She was pretty delightful, young, and spry. I named her Gertrude over Simple Simons pizza. I believe Legend was showing on the television as I scrawled potential names across a napkin.  Gertrude just fit, and offered so many variations. Trudations, Trudicles, Dude, Trudy Trudetta Trublood (nickname predating the Sookie Stackhouse novels and subsequent television program, I’ll have you know), Trudekei,  Gershananoff & so many more.  She is the dearest pet in my life ever, equaled only by my poor beloved departed Darwin, the Russian Blue kitty who was murdered by a racoon on Halloween 2003.

So I got my writing done yesterday with no real issue. Back to 1000+ word half hour sessions and on track to finish on the 30th. I need to step it up soon, though, and write more than two sessions if I can make myself, because I would seriously like to finish before Thanksgiving break.

On day 10 I wrote 2,136 words…

16854 / 50000 words. 34% done!

To whoever reads this pitiful blog anyway, I’m sorry about the massive amount of time you had to wait for the next post. I’ve been really busy, as most people know. Getting better, doing homework and catching up with Kumon. Not to mention my neopets addiction. Yes, I’m coming out to tell you guys- I am addicted to neopets. Sad enough as it is. Well I guess I started playing neopets in year 5, when it wasn’t blocked by the school computers for a fair enough amount of time for me to develop an addiction.

Umm…as embarrassing as it is to say this- but I really do enjoy playing neopets. And I think that it might be fun to put up stuff on this site- Neopets related. So I can get whoever reads this addicted too. (Mwhahahaha….evil scheme coming together…) Yea…So I’ve been busy on neopets.

Because I’m a nice person, I decided to create an account for ‘Walrus and Friend’  so, I can start again, and you guys know what I’m doing and any new and upcoming specially rare trades/auctions can be settled. Because I’m starting all over again, you might have to wait for a little while, so I can build up enough resources to buy items. But right now, I’m selling food and currently accepting neofriend requests…So anybody? Yea, you get the picture.

With all due respect to Lady Gaga, modern technology continues on the quick-step it treads, and apparently I’m still in the stone age, because Youtube recommended this to me when I logged in today and I was astounded. I’ve never been a big advocate of the Sims, seeing friends play bored me to tears, but apparently they have greatly upgraded what they are capable of – when nerd/club-folk can manipulate characters and the in-game camera in such a way as to produce such a high caliber animation/video. I remember a time when Virtua Fighter was cutting edge in the arcade, and like the idiot I was in ‘93 I thought it’d never get any better.

The polygons in Virtua Fighter are the Andy Rooneys of the polygon world.

People’s capabilities and their drive and determination to idolize the celebrities they choose to follow gets demonstrated in astounding ways. If this level of attention were given to scientific research, we would have cured 90% of cancers by now, said the man who writes about Elves and dragons for a living. Apologies to Andy Rooney.

Yeesh.  First post in a while.  There hasn’t been any hairs I liked enough to recolor lately.  I also tried my hands at doing clothes, but that was a mess.  Anyway, here’s some new hair retexture/recolor.

i am so behind the times.. everyone else is starting to make sims 3 stuff and i just now am learning the basics to recolouring sims 2 stuff >_> anyway here’s a little recolour i did for the 4esf living room 3 couch, chair, plant and coffee table and i figured i’d share. there are 2 versions of the plant so you can have a red one and a black one to go with the black and red recolour of the couch. meshes are NOT included so please do make sure to download them if you don’t already have them.

this was a pretty quick recolour mostly because i was sick of wanting to use that couch but it not fitting the rest of my planned decor. anyway, go easy on me! i’m still a noob. but do feel free to let me know if you find any problems or if you have any advice! next time i might try and actually do something more complex

Okay so i have 2 real ambitions which i really want to fulfil in my life. The first being that i want to live in a house that i have designed myself and the second being to make The Sims 2 Twilight Edition. Okay so the first is plausible although properly never gonna happen. The second lets face it is never gonna happen. For a variety of reasons one of them being atm there isnt going to be any more Sims 2 expansion packs cause of the sims 3 and by the time i’m old enough and everything there is going to be more than just the sims 3. Plus when i’m older i’m proberly not gonna play the sims anymore and even if i did manage to make it and i still wanted it people would never buy it would they?? But i can make everyone from twilight in the normal sims yes i know but its nothing like twilight. I mean the werewolves on the sims are crap! and the vampires although i have hacks are nothing like the cullens cause YOU CANT EAT ANIMALS!! So anyway that’s my ambition which will never happen which will never happen if it does i will eat my hoodie x

So I suddenly came down with a sore throat and sniffles Wednesday night. I whined about it to Perfect Husband for a little while, then took a bunch of Advil and went to bed, planning to sleep it off. The sniffles got worse over night and I woke at two in the morning with the realization that I was actually sick, and one night’s sleep wasn’t going to shoo it away.

Crap.

See, Saturday I was supposed to take a drive with my favourite client and speak at the MS Society. Apparently, one of their members had run into my client and her dog and was like “they make service dogs for people in wheelchairs too??” and he was so excited that he immediately applied for a dog and then asked us to make a presentation to help spread the word.

When I went to bed Wednesday night, I was thinking “gee, I hope my throat isn’t still sore for Saturday, or speaking will really suck.” Then I woke up with the cold realization that if I was sick, I simply couldn’t go. People with MS are usually on immunosuppressants. Getting into a car with this client and breathing on her for several hours, not to mention all the people at the meeting, would be like saying “here – have a hospital visit.”

So I went into work the next morning and passed the buck to a coworker. Then I went home sick.

This stinks.

But the good news is I can spend all day playing Sims 2. Sims 2 loves me. Sims 2 doesn’t care that I’m sniffling and gooey and scratchy and moany.

Oh, in other news, I have a family doctor again kind of sort of. She’s not really a doctor. She’s a nurse practitioner. The hospital referred me to her (she works in the bowels of their basement and I was terrified I was going to walk past the morgue while trying to find this place) and she says she can keep me as a patient. I’m not entirely clear on how this is really different from a doctor. Apparently she can diagnose, order tests, and she prescribed me three months of Wellbutrin. Obviously the education angle is different, but isn’t that basically a doctor? Is she, like, a sub-doctor? Should I be willing to put my health in her hands, rather than finding a GP? I’m not sure. She seemed nice and competent enough. In fact, she spent an hour talking to me. An HOUR! I can’t think of any GP who had that kind of time for me.

Then I got sick. Stupid hospitals.

I now have a Dreamwidth account (aren’t I cool?). I won’t be fiddling with it until after the HSC, and I haven’t decided whether to upload everything there or not yet.  I like having everything in one place, & it’ll be a hassle to keep one & not the other. PLUS I have comments here & it makes me feel loved xD  However I love being able to hide things behind a cut, like on LJ. If I do change, I’ll probably take a lot better pictures from my older objects/hairs etc.

Anyway, that means I have invite codes now (?) so I can send them out if people need them. I’m assuming I have them anyway.

Study is going alright! I’ve done a little bit of simming during my breaks to relax, atm I’m retexturing a male hair & a few Simply Styling objects (two plants, a walltowel thing & some money). I’ll upload them next time I have a quick peak into my game.

I recently upgraded my NVIDIA video card drivers to the latest version (191.07) and The Sims 3 no longer works properly. Why is this and what can I do to resolve the issue?

Answer:

The latest driver update for NVIDIA video cards (191.07) has an apparent conflict with The Sims 3. Your game may not run properly (or at all) if you’re using these drivers.

Until a more permanent solution becomes available, we recommend reverting to an older release of the NVIDIA drivers to ensure that The Sims 3 runs smoothly.

Note: before reverting to the older drivers, be sure to uninstall your current ones first. You can do this by using the Add/Remove Programs menu located in the Windows Control Panel.
