Today, I got what I’ve been expecting since September. Finally the LauraLive World Tour 2009 came to my hands, and like I had known since I wanted it, it didn’t dissapoint me. I have to say the beautiful woman who I am comitted with, spent an incredible evening watching this top-rated concert, and it just became an awesome day. We sang, we danced, we even cried… that’s what this amazing music of this Italian woman makes us feel. And sincerely, if I could thank her for what she has brought to my girl and me, I would.

The single I’m talking about in this entry, was released on September 25th, and it just makes me smile, makes me feel so thankful for what I’ve got in my life, that an amazing feeling arrives and fills my body everytime I hear or sing this song. It has something unique, that other Laura’s songs don’t have, I don’t know if it’s the music, the lyrics… who knows! (well, probably Laura knows). What I do know, is that I just want to dance with my barefeet with the music on the radio! That’s all I need in this life! Come you can get closer now, and allow me to be more, be your mouth inside my own, would never let you go!!!

I’ve yet to meet a guy that didn’t need help learning how to attract and maintain a perfect 10 woman. However, I’ve met several guys especially in Houston that believe they are doing just fine.  Hmmmm.  That’s funny.  I understand though.  Guys have a level of dominance they have to maintain and someone offering advice infers they aren’t good enough and need help.  Every guy I’ve talked to throughout the years has said that they don’t need help.  Until they see results they won’t accept help.  So what better way than an anonymous blog to offer guidance?

Let’s go back a step.  What’s a perfect ten? They are rare so don’t worry about the five women you talked to at the bar last night. Chances are, if they were talking to you, they weren’t a perfect 10. A perfect ten is beautiful to watch. She carries herself with true confidence, she isn’t afraid of speaking to other women, other women are in fact extra snippy around her because she threatens their chances for success. Don’t get mad ladies, this stuff is instinctual for you. You are the way you are. And usually, you’re all the same. Where was I? So, she’ll dominate the room with elegance, sophistication, humility and confidence. A real woman.

So I’m back to Why Hitch? Well, I’ve always been fascinated with relationships and dating. Maybe because I was never unsuccessful. I just was always able to attract women. Combine whatever that is with the self awareness I pride myself on reflecting over and I guess you get someone that can explain how things happen so that everyone understands. I’ve lived everywhere in the U.S. and learned a lot about dating and relationships during that time. In fact, I was even a dating coach when I lived in D.C. last year. And that’s why they call me Hitch. When I moved back to Houston, my friends started calling me Hitch.

So this is my first of many blogs about why guys in Houston are in desperate need of some professional expertise when it comes to dating and relationships. And don’t get me started on the women here in Houston. They aren’t exactly holding up their end. If the women here would just act the way they’re supposed to they might get a decent guy. Guys in Houston are the worst I’ve seen in I can’t say how many states.

Relax though, there’s hope yet. It’s time to turn Houston in to a luscious field of sexiness. Guys can change. YES THEY CAN! I’ve seen them do it and watched them transform from geek to sheik. And I’m talking GEEK! So, if you’re a guy that already dresses nicely and looks somewhat presentable but doesn’t get the HOW TO ATTRACT WOMEN part, you’re going to be fine.

Ladies, if you complain about your guy to all of your girlfriends just remember, that guy was YOUR pick. So instead of whining about the guy, you should start telling your friends how big of loser YOU are. He’s a reflection of YOU. Stop being an idiot.

I guess I’m meaner to women because they need to be spoken to with some truth occasionally. They are constantly around non-10s that compiment and give no opinion to make them feel challenged. Thus, they stop developing. And women are way smarter than guys. They are way more complex and can handle the criticism better than guys.

Here’s the task for the ladies. I want to hear what kind of dates you’ve been on lately and don’t skip the details. Where you met, how you were asked out, and everything in betwee.

Le duo Sid Roams (Joey Chavez & Bravo) vient de sortir son album instrumental “Zombie Musik”.

Cette semaine j’ai pu faire deux sorties sur Camplong.

Une sortie le mardi après midi avec Eric. Nous avons eu un très beau temps c’était génial, en short et tee shirt pour une fin novembre, que demander de mieux? Une petite boucle de 17km pour que Eric puisse bien tester son nouvel achat: un Rockrider 8.1 .

Un parcours classique, la montée par le réseau vert jusqu’à la Jasse d’Azin, puis la descente de l’Arboretum versant nord.

Le surlendemain je suis parti tout seul faire une boucle un peu plus longue (26km), avec environ 1100m de dénivelé. Je suis monté un peu plus haut par le réseau vert jusqu’au mont Agut.  La montée jusqu’à la Jasse d’Azin est assez rapide, la piste sablonneuse permet de rouler sur un gros braquet, mais au delà ça se corse. Le terrain est plus caillouteux et ça monte un peu plus. Par contre en plein nord il ne faisait pas bien chaud. Je suis descendu par le GR, puis j’ai pris le sentier de l’Arboretum coté Sud. J’ai ensuite pris la variante qui m’a fait rejoindre l’Arboretum coté Nord. C’était la première fois que je l’empruntais dans ce sens. Une descente ludique, technique, typée Cross Country, un pur régal. Dommage qu’en cette saison il y ait un peu trop de feuilles de châtaigniers au sol; par endroits l’épaisseur de feuille dépassait facilement les 50cm. Impossible de savoir s’il y avait une branche ou des cailloux sous cette couche!

Bref, c’est un coin vraiment super pour un bon entraînement.

And I thought I’d heard everything…

Just when you thought you’d heard it all I found a link between being Single and Alzheimer’s Disease on an Arizona news site from Kyle Burke.

Thanks to Kyle for reminding us that November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. Now that’s definitely something we should be helping to support – goodness knows it seems the likelihood of loads of us being afflicted with the disease is seemingly high!

 I think most of us know that Doctors say that maintaining your brain health early on could be key in preventing memory loss later in life. Jan Dougherty, Director of Family and Communication Services at Banner Alzheimer’s Institute explains: “Because Alzheimer’s often starts decades before it presents with symptoms, we should be thinking in our 30’s and 40’s about lifestyle strategies, about diet, exercise, cognitive exercise, staying engaged throughout our lives.”

The bad news as per Kyle’s report,  is a recent study found that Single people are twice as likely to develop dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as married or cohabitating people.

“We’re creatures that do better when we are in communication and living with other peoples, so there’s something about socialization that’s really important to brain health,” Dougherty said.

And just in case you’ve forgotten… some of the common symptoms of memory loss are:
- forgetting names (does this count if you couldn’t remember them in the first place?)
- forgetting recent events (not due to alcohol consumption though!)
- forgetting appointments and dates (can’t bear to meet that online date you made?)
- misplacing items / finding items in strange places – (not male are you – never put things in the same place twice do you!)
- getting lost or confused in familiar places (now I’m geographically challenged so that’s a killer for me all the time)
- having difficulty finding words or putting sentences together (again watch that alcohol consumption – definitely makes it a challenge!)
- changes in behavior or personality (of course that has nothing to do with the type of day you are having or the road rage incident that’s just happened, or the 6 Red Bulls you just consumed…)

This is not an attempt at trivialising the severe impact Alzheimer’s disease has on the sufferer as well as families and friends. It is tragic to be a part of this situation. So, if you are experiencing some of those memory loss symptoms above – and forget about my little italicized comments alongside them, do go seek some help. Same goes for if you suspect someone else may be displaying some of these symptoms, see if you can find a way to guide them to seek out help.

 But, back to the Singles of the world. We all need love, friendship, companionship, and if you can find a life partner who can offer all that and more – it could be as simple as that to ward off Alzheimers. So, all I can say is get out there, display your Single status SHI Symbol everywhere you go so you can meet loads of new and interesting men and women more easily, and if you’re inclined to look for a partner, it’ll be working for you 24/7. It’s a sure fire way to help ward off Alzheimer’s. Can’t guarantee they won’t send you demented for other reasons though!

Tsumetai Ame (冷たい雨) is Every Little Thing’s 37th single and it was released on November 18, 2009.The single reached #15 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and sold 7,304 copies.

Ewwww. Every Little Thing’s old producer / songwriter Mitsuru Igarashi is back again. He ruined the duo’s last single DREAM GOES ON but fortunately, Tsumetai Ame doesn’t suffer the same fate. Being a mid-tempo track, it’s certainly better since the music doesn’t sound messy and the synthetic elements have been toned down a notch. They aren’t completely distracting like in DREAM GOES ON either. Even though I get an old fashioned 90s J-pop vibe from this song, it’s nice to hear Kaori Mochida’s voice sounding less delicate.

The B-side is a cover of The Carpenters’ (They Long To Be) Close To You. It’s pretty faithful to the original and features the piano with some acoustics. As for Mochida’s English singing…it’s to be expected (just like when she sang Moon River lol). It’s still a nice cover version.

Pros: A big big big step up over the last single! I don’t totally hate Igarashi now.
Cons: The music in the A-side still comes off as outdated.

FINALLY. Tomorrow, on November 27th, (I’m happy to annouce) Laura Pausini releases her new live material, titled LauraLive World Tour 2009 along with its Spanish version LauraLive Gira Mundial 2009 both being a compilation of one year of concerts. Both versions have a CD and a DVD. Besides this, there are also three new singles, one of them released on September 25th while the second one was released last Monday, and the next one probably tomorrow. I’m talking, of course, of Con La Musica Alla Radio, Non Sono Lei & Casomai. 

So I can say I will be completely satisfied when I have this new material on my hands (tomorrow, of course), because it not only reminds me of the concert I attended, but also shows me this artist is simply fantastic. (Weird for me, ’cause I’m a more rock/pop guy, but… things happen). So, for those fans who read this, expect a good entry about the album on Saturday, and in the meantime, I leave you with her new singles. Always, feel free to comment.

Of all the most unsavoury things to cross the Atlantic recently, I have to say that I think speed dating was one of the worst!

It is actually ‘up there’ with Adam Lambert and of course Jay Sean and indeed anyone whose name is anything to do with ‘cents’ no matter what division of a dollar they happen to be and of course anyone who wears that dreadful stuff ‘bling.’

As far as I was concerned and frankly speed dating ‘concerned’ me; speed dating was insulting, petty and really rather pathetic.

Oh the concept sounded all rather fine as I am afraid mere ‘concepts’ always do, but finding a partner and beginning a relationship is nothing to do with several five minute chats in the early evening at a bar that is hired by the hour on slow days.

No dating and finding a partner is a slow process that takes patience, time and most of all dedication plus commitment.

Speed dating was all very well and good as a way of massaging the egos of people who think that they are busy. Sad people who spend a lot of time cutting down and neatly packaging the things they do in their, not very normal, lives so that at the end of the evening they have plenty of time to go home and think about how alone they are.

I am sorry but no one on the planet is too busy for a relationship or beginning to build one and if you can name anyone and then prove that they are; I will happily print the information here on my very precious and popular blog and give you the credit you both deserve for being very rare indeed.
