Có vị trí cao trên kết quả tìm kiếm của Google là ước mơ, là động lực của hầu hết những ai muốn quảng bá sản phẩm, dịch vụ, thương hiệu của mình trên internet – bởi Google luôn chiếm thị phần trên 80% tại Việt Nam và trên 50% toàn cầu. Nhưng làm gì để đạt được điều đó? Trong các bài trước, OnBoom Group đã tập trung phân tích các khía cạnh kỹ thuật khá chi tiết nhằm giúp bạn tự mình có thể làm cho website đạt kết quả tốt hơn trong tìm kiếm với Google, Yahoo, MSN và các hệ thống tìm kiếm khác. Trong bài này, chúng tôi sẽ hướng dẫn các bạn sử dụng một công cụ đơn giản nhưng cực kỳ hữu ích: Sitemap.

Sitemap, nói nôm na là cái sơ đồ của website. Đối với các website động thì URL dẫn đến các trang web thường có dạng: http://www.vidu.com/index.php?option=catid…. hay http://www.vidu.com/default.asp?aid=318&l=VN ,… tức là trên URL thường có sự hiện diện của các ký tự đặc biệt như “=”, “?”, “&”,… Đây là những ký tự thuộc loại “khó nuốt” đối với các “robots” – lực lượng có nhiệm vụ index các website cho các cỗ máy tìm kiếm. Chính vì vậy, với các website nhỏ, nếu sử dụng các URL thuộc dạng “động” như trên thì cơ hội website được index vào sâu các nội dung bên trong là rất khó. Vì lý do này, Google đã cho ra đời một kỹ thuật gọi là sitemap – tức tạo sơ đồ site cho các robots biết đường index các trang web một cách nhanh chóng và dễ dàng. Kỹ thuật này thực chất rất đơn giản: Dùng một phần mềm chuyên dụng, cho index toàn bộ nội dung của website, sau đó gi lại thông tin đường đi rồi lưu lại thành một file với định dạng xml. Sau đó, đưa file này lên thư mục gốc của website. Mỗi khi các robots của Google (gọi là Googlebots) đến index website, chúng chỉ việc index sitemap này là đủ mà không cần phải “mò mẫm” tìm kiếm nội dung của cả website.

Để tạo ra sitemap, có rất nhiều phần mềm cho bạn lựa chọn. Hãy vào chính Google đánh từ khóa: “sitemap builder”, bạn sẽ có vô vàn sự lựa chọn. Tuy nhiên, qua khảo sát và thực nghiệm, chúng tôi nhận thấy, phần mềm Gsitemap của hãng Vigos là dễ sử dụng mà hiệu quả cao nhất.

Để cài đặt phần mềm này, trước hết, bạn cần phải cài đặt chương trình .Net Frame work của Microsoft (Bản 1.1 hoặc 2.0 đều được – tải chương trình tại đây). Khi cài đặt hoàn tất Frame Work, bạn bắt đầu cài Gsitemap rất dễ dàng bằng cách chọn các thao tác mặc nhiên theo yêu cầu.

Tại màn hình chính của chương trình, bạn hãy thiết lập cấu hình từng phần như sau:

Vào menu options/default change frequency/ Bạn hãy chọn một tùy chọn theo thực tế: Ví dụ, website bạn được cập nhật hàng ngày, bạn chọn “daily”; Nếu cập nhật hàng tuần, bạn chọn “weekly”,… Đối với các mục khác, bạn làm nhưng minh họa trong hình.

Như vậy là xong khâu thiết lập, giờ bạn hãy nhập địa chỉ website cần tại sitemap vào ô: Base URL (ví dụ: www.abc.com), lập tức, ô bên cạnh là Sitemap URL sẽ xuất hiện địa chỉ tương ứng của sitemap: http://www.abc.com/sitemap.xml.

Xong xuôi, bạn nhấn vào nút Web Spider (hình quả cầu và kính lúp), một hộp thoại hiện lên. bạn nhấn nút Start. Phần mềm bắt đầu thao tác index website của bạn. Khi việc index hoàn tất (dấu hiệu là các Threat đều hiện lên chữ stopped), bạn hãy nhấn vào nút Stop/Close.

Hộp thoại biến mất. giờ bạn hãy nhấn vào nút: Generate (cạnh nút Web Spider) để tạo sitemap.

Xong việc, bạn chọn File/save hoặc nhấn Ctrl + S để lưu sitemap lại với tên sitemap.xml (chọn theo hình bên). Khi có sitemap, bạn dùng bất cứ một chương trình FTP nào (hoặc dùng ngay công cụ Upload của Gsitemap để đưa sitemap lên server (host) vào ngay vị trí thư mục gốc của website (ví dụ: www.abc.com/sitemap.xml).

Bước tiếp theo là bạn test thử xem sitemap đã nằm đúng vị trí chưa bằng cách đánh địa chỉ: www.websitecuaban.com/sitemap.xml . Nếu bạn thấy sitemap xuất hiện là tốt, nếu chưa, bạn phải upload lại theo đúng hướng dẫn.

Bước cuối cùng: Bạn phải báo với Google là bạn đã đưa sitemap lên thành công bằng cách: Nhấn vào nút “Notify” (hình bóng đèn vàng, trên hàng công cụ).

Như vậy là hoàn tất các thủ tục tạo sitemap và kích hoạt sitemap hoạt động. Từ nay, mỗi khi cập nhật tin bài, sản phẩm, dịch vụ mới, bạn lại phải làm lại các thao tác trên, tạo sitemap mới và chép đè lên sitemap cũ.
Tuy vất vả, nhưng bạn sẽ được đền đáp xứng đáng khi website của bạn được google index liên tục và kết quả tìm kiếm ngày càng được cải thiện và có nhiều cơ hội vươn lên Top.

Tuy nhiên, biện pháp này chỉ có tác dụng với các website kinh doanh, website công ty, trường học, giới thiệu sản phẩm, du lịch,… mà không có tác dụng với các trang tin tức, báo điện tử hoặc Thương mại điện tử do thông tin quá lớn và được cập nhật liên tục. Các website này không cần sử dụng sitemap nhưng Google vẫn index tốt và thường xuyên vì bản thân các website này có traffic (lưu lượng truy cập) lớn, Google sẽ dành nhiều ưu tiên.

This is supposed to be a short explanation where and what you can find on this blog.

There are only two main pages:  The first is Home, this is where you are at the moment. The second page is About, which features a short introduction and explains who I am and what I do. I have also added this very explanation to the About page so as to make it easier to find later. The buttons for the two pages are at the top, directly beneath the header.

On the left hand side, you can see all the posts that exist up to now (only two so far ). In the future, you hopefully will be able to find loads more.

And, last but not least, on the right hand side, you can see several so-called widgets. These are little helpers that provide useful information. For example, you can search for a certain topic, look for interesting links I have added, or see what I have twittered so far. The URL of my twitter-account is http://twitter.com/sirhannes. Siteharitası Protokolü sayesinde bir web tasarımcısı arama motorlarını, bir web sitesindeki taranacak URLler hakkında bilgilendirebilir. Bir site haritası bir sitedeki URLleri listeleyen bir XMLdosyasıdır. Bu dosya sayesinde web tasarımcıları, taranacak sayfalarının üzerinde daha fazla kontrole sahip olurlar. Arama motorlarına hangi sayfanın ne sıklıkla değiştiği, en son ne zaman güncellendiği ve sitedeki hangi sayfa diğerlerinden daha önemli, öncelikli gibi bilgileri bu dosya ile gönderebilirler. Bu yolla arama motorları web sitelerini tararken daha verimli olabilmektedirler. Site haritaları yapı itibariyle robots.txt URL hariç tutma protokolünün tamamlayıcısı olan bir URL dahil etme protokolüdür.

XML Site Haritasının Yeri

Site haritanızı, kendiniz bir scriptle ya da internetteki ücretsiz araçlarla oluşturarak sitemap.xml adıyla ana klasörünüze koyabilirsiniz. Eğer farklı bir yer ve ad ile kaydetmiş iseniz aşağıdaki satırı robots.txt dosyanıza ekleyerek tam adını ve yerini belirtebilirsiniz:

Bu dosyanın ana klasörünüzde olması önerilir. Eğer yeri açıkça belirtilmemişse arama motorları ilkin ana klasörünüzde sitemap.xml dosyasını ararlar. Site haritanızı sitemap.xml adıyla ana klasörünüze koyarak henüz bilmediğiniz başka arama motorlarının da sitenizi keşfetmesini kolaylaştırmış olursunuz

Örnek bir sitemap.xml dosyası aşağıdaki gibidir. Didikle ve Google gibi profesyonel arama motorları web site sahibinin önceliklerine uymak amacıyla varsa bu dosyayı kullanır. Bu XML biçimindeki dosyada sitenizdeki her bir sayfa son değiştirilme tarihi, değişme sıklığı ve taranma önceliği bilgisi ile belirtilir.

Sitemap.xml’deki Alanların Açıklaması Changefreq kısmında yer alan taranma sıklığı alanına never, yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, always sözcüklerinden birini yazabilirsiniz.  Böylece, arama motorları burada belirttiğinizden daha kısa aralıklarla sitenizi ziyaret etmeyecektir. Priority kısmına ise 0.0 ile 1.0 arası sayılar girerek sitenizin hangi sırayla taranacağını belirtebilirsiniz. Bu öncelik sıralamaları sitenizin arama motorundaki yerini etkilemez. Sadece taranıp indekslerken  bazı sayfalarınızın diğer sayfalarınızdan daha önce taranmasını istiyorsanız işinize yarayacaktır. Örneğin sık güncellenen bir haber siteniz varsa  ve burada belirtilen linklerdeki sayfalarınız haber sayfanızdaki değişim ile beraber değişecekse, haber sitenizdeki link başlıkları ile taranacak  haber sayfalarınızın başlıkları tutması amacıyla haber linklerini belirttiğiniz sayfanıza daha yüksek bir öncelik vermelisiniz. Site haritalarını göndermek.. Site haritaları arama motorlarına normal URL eklemekten farklı bir yolla bildirilir. Eğer arama motorlarının site ekleme sayfalarına sitemap.xml dosyanızı  tanıtmaya çalışırsanız sadece hata mesajı alırsınız. Bu sebeple, yukarıda belirtildiği gibi robots.txt dosyanızın içine arama motorlarının bulabilmesi için Site haritası dosyanızın yerini işaret edebilirsiniz. Bunun için robots.txt dosyanıza aşağıdaki satırın eklenmesi yeterlidir: Sitemap: www.fmsporlive.com/forum/sitemap/forum_sitemap.php Site haritanızı robots.txt dışında bir yolla göndermek için ise aşağıdaki tabloda yer alan URL’leri son kısmına kendi sitemap.xml dosyanızın  URL’sini ekleyerek oluşan URL’yi wget ya da curl ile bir program içinden çağırabilirsiniz. İsterseniz bunu sadece Firefox vb. gibi web tarayıcınızla  ziyaret ederek de bildirebilirsiniz.

Make a Sitemap – Webmonkey

Ever wonder why Google and all of the other search engines are ignoring portions of your website? It could be that the big search engines just don’t like you. But the simpler (and more likely) answer is that they don’t know where all your pages are.

If search engines can’t find your site’s pages, then there’s no way for those pages to be indexed, which means you miss out on all that awesome, money-earning traffic. That’s no good.

So how can you explicitly tell a search engine where you pages are? The answer is to use a sitemap.

Google News Search is not equal as Google Search or any other Search Engine for that matter. It is special News based Search Engine which center on bringing News items instead of normal Web Pages. With so many news sites popping up and retreating demarkation between Websites and News Based sites, there is a require to draw the line.

A regular XML sitemap would not effort for Search Engine submission like Google News simply because; the requirements and the intention audience are different. Here are the main differences between a Regular XML Sitemap and Google News Sitemap

• News Sitemaps are updated every time you Post/Edit or publish a post/article but Standard XML sitemap update frequency comparatively less.
• News Sitemaps contains only latest articles while Standard XML Sitemap contains an exhaustive list of articles.
• They both cannot be used in lieu of the other.
• Additional fields such as Timestamp or the Article Publication Date are absolutely necessary for News Sitemaps. It tells the Search Engine the date at which the Article first appeared on the site.

Sitemap is the graphical representation of a website’s architecture. It is like a book’s table of content: sitemap contains all the accessible webpages within a website; Basically, it provides a “communication channel” between the search engines and the website. Sitemap help search engine spiders to crawl and index the inner pages of a website. A sitemap can be either any kind of documents (usually, it is in XML or Text format; mainly for search engine spiders only.) or another webpage listing all the existing webpages of a website (beneficial for both human users and search engine spiders.) Asides from the benefit of helping the search engine crawl the inner pages much faster and easier, it is also beneficial for websites which are using or made up of flash; also for those websites that has dynamic contents / pages.

You can generate sitemap for your website using Sitemap Generator. With this sitemap generator, you can download the uncompressed XML sitemap, the sitemap in HTML format, and the sitemap in text format; which later need to be upload to your website. Then, your website are now ready to submit to major search engines through the following links (you need an account for each search engine webmaster tools):

Ежели молодого веб-дизанера шмальнуть поведать чего-нибудь о проектировании страниц, непрерывно станет всплывать на поверхность диаграмма интернет-сайта. Это не этак уж и нехорошо. Диаграмма интернет-сайта — классика жанра. Вообщем, некие вещи меня смущают.

Скажем, таковой вопросец: «Как станет смотреться диаграмма интернет-сайта этого блога ?» Я вижу минимум пару решений: теоретическое и детализированное. На отвлеченной карте разрешено ограничится типами страничек. Детализированное же заключение предполагает изваяние настоящих экземпляров страничек.

Аналогично, что диаграмма интернет-сайта практически постоянно довольно отвлечена. Или мы оперируем классами объектов, или — обхватываем не все странички.

Ещё вопросцы: «В какой-никакой ступени диаграмма интернет-сайта обязана защищать настоящие ссылочные связи?Мы живописуем лишь структуру либо наиболее трудные дела меж материалами ?»

Ежели диаграмма интернет-сайта учитывает ссылки, то как существовать со ссылками из текстов и из всеобщего для всех страничек меню?Владеет ли значение делить связи на односторонние и двусторонние?Необходимо ли их подписывать?Что делать, ежели одна страничка напрямую связана с иной несколькими методами ?

Охото вместить на одной карте как разрешено более инфы, однако в каком месте застопориться?Поглядите на это столпотворение.

Я намереваюсь избрать для себя нотацию, а начну со странички в iawiki про sitemap. Ссылок оттуда хватит на полжизни. Как лишь мое понятие о правильных картах будет лучше, поведаю.

Sitemaps are a way to tell Google about pages on your site we might not otherwise discover. In its simplest terms, a XML Sitemap—usually called Sitemap, with a capital S—is a list of the pages on your website. Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that Google knows about all the pages on your site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by Google’s normal crawling process.What is a site map?
A site map is the listing of all the pages held within a web site.  It is created with the intent of easily informing search engines about pages that are on a web site and available for crawling or indexing.  The listing starts at the home or base page and then branches out accordingly.  This listing can be done in several different formats – XML, text file or a syndication feed (RSS).  One or all formats can be chosen but in order to be effective, the site map(s) created must be in a format that allows search engine spiders to properly index all the listed pages.  As XML is a standard by  most search engines, XML is the best formatting choice.

How to create one
The creation of a site map is quite easy.  If your web site is only a few pages, you can create an XML site map manually.  However, if your web site is rather extended, the best option would be to use one of many different programs available on the web.

There are many programs you can download and use on your computer to create your site map.  Alternatively you can use an online site map creator.  One such online option is available at XML-Sitemaps.  This site offers a straightforward four step operation – you type in your base url, select how often your site is changed, indicate the last modification date, select the priority number and click start.  Once your site maps is created, you simply download it to your main site folder.  This site creates XML site maps that work perfectly with Google and will enable you to use the Google webmaster tools to enhance your SEO efforts further.  One thing to keep in mind with XML-Sitemaps is the online version will only index up to 500 pages.  If your site is much larger than this, you would be better off downloading a piece of software that will index larger sites.

Creating an XML site map for your site is just one step in the SEO process.  It is simple to do either manually or with some online help.  A properly created XML site map will ensure your site is thoroughly indexed by search engines and will contribute to your SEO efforts.
