A EA anunciou Skate 3, terceiro game da excelente série, e o novo jogo está com grandes novidades. O foco desta versão é o modo online.

Você poderá construir skates, videos e parques, com um editor próprio, e ainda montar equipe de competição, assim como no modo offiline. Segundo Jason DeLong, produtor sênio do jogo a empresa espera mesmo é atingir fortemente os jogadores, através de uma abordagem forte.

“A parte social e da comunidade da franquia Skate é algo que nós sempre nos comprometemos, mas nunca fizemos algo na escala de Skate 3” disse Jason DeLong.

“Nós vamos dar aos jogadores uma experiência única por lhes dar as ferramentas que precisam para criar seus próprios times, ou juntar os amigos online. A partir daí, você deverá sse provar.” completou.

Fiquei muito animado com o jogo, gostei pra caramba do 1 e o 2, e o 3 com estas novidades parece que será muito bom também.

O jogo sai para Xbox 360 e PS3 em Maio de 2010.

I woke up at 7:30 to my music playing.  I reached over and turned off my alarm, that was set to go off at 8, because I couldn’t get back to sleep.

There was a discussion group for the book we were supposed to have read over the summer, MAUS I by Art Spiegelman.  Since I read the book in tenth grade, did assignments on it in tenth grade, and I’m not taking the class it was required for this year, I decided it wasn’t worth my time or effort.

I hung out for a little while before I was supposed to go to the Love and Liquor comedy routine.  Played a little bit of Madden and skate.2 before I picked up my keys and phone and left.

I walked all the way out of the complex, got to the corner of Laurel and Main and stopped.

I forgot my wallet.

In my wallet was both my VCU ID and my drivers licence, so I headed back to the building and I had to get my first of two allowed resident passes.  I got back to the room right as the show was about to start.  So I looked up when the next showing was, 9 pm.

Around 2:20, I left to go meet up with Paul and Greg to head to the Ram Spirit walk.  This was basically just an introduction to some major people for VCU to all of the incoming freshmen.  We then walked through the black and gold balloon arches and were welcomed to VCU by the resident assistants (RAs) and orientation assistants (OAs) as well as some alumni and other upperclassmen.  We were marched through Monroe Park by the Clover Hill High School marching band (because we don’t have one) and were led into the Landmark theater for our college convocation.

This was possibly one of the biggest wastes of time in my last four years.  We sat in the Landmark theater for more than 30 minutes doing nothing but talking.

The speeches weren’t anything special.  Same thing you always hear:  “College is a more than full time job” “Get involved in your school, because it is now your community”

After listening to VCU’s new president Dr. Michael Rao talk about school and community for 10 minutes, repeating and rephrasing everything, I met up with Zack and we headed over to Subway.  They seemed to be getting ready to close, but we were there before closing so we were able to get our subs and head to a table to eat.

Afterwards, we returned to GRC where I checked Zack in, and we stayed there for a bit until around 8:30 when I had to get ready to go to the second showing of Love and Liquor.

He headed home and I went to the Commons Theater to see what the buzz was about.

The show consisted of the wellness center nurse talking about different STD’s and alcohol in a light comedy routine.  There was a portion where she called a few people down to see if they could eyeball an ounce of liquor into a red dixie cup.  Most of them failed miserably, including one kid who poured more than 2 ounces into his cup.

There were survey questions and perception tests to see what we thought about college and what was actually true.

After that, Zack called me and we met back up at GRC, where he decided that he was going to spend the night.

We headed back to the room, and we played skate.2 on the Xbox until around 1:30 am.  Breathing easy and comfortably, without any worry of having to please my family or worring about breaking household rules, I went to sleep, a free man.

Rumor has it that EA games will be coming out with Skate 3, and I’m geeked. Skate 3 Soundtrack!!

I don’t play video games very often at all, and I definitely don’t skateboard. I realize I’m stating the obvious to many readers by saying that some video games have great soundtracks. But without hearing them in my own house as my son plays games, I probably never would have discovered the cool little playlists within. The soundtracks to Skate and Skate 2, in my opinion, are really excellent. Different than what I’d typically listen to, but still excellent. They’re fun, energetic, extremely diverse…though I have a complaint: it’d be great to hear a few more female vocalists. Hey, girls rock and skateboard too!

While EA hasn’t made an official statement about an upcoming Skate 3, “Schmitty” from the Skate website Epicly Trife tweeted in July about a skater being contacted to appear in Skate 3. If it was written on Twitter, it must be true, right? So there you have it.

In the meantime, check out the songs on Skate and Skate 2 and see what’s doin’. I provided links for many of the songs my son and I like best… though I got tired of making links. There’s a little something for everyone, so I hope you’ll find something appealing that your ipod’s been missing.

Så här såg det ut när min vän Marcus vaknade upp idag.

Ligger i sängen. Tänker. Vad hände egentligen? Det var ett sabla drag igår. Så mycket kommer han ihåg. Men inte så mycket mer. Vrider på sig i sängen och upptäcker att han inte är ensam. Piss. Stirrar upp i taket och förbannar sin klumpighet. Inte igen. Vem ligger där?  Fy, vad pinsamt! Vad gör jag?

Ligger ytterligare någon minut och drar ut på eländet. Bestämmer sig för att ta tjuren vid hornen och kolla vem det är som ligger där.

Det är Skate 2. Från Tradera. F*ck. Det skulle bli en av dom dagarna.

Le 1er opus était déjà puissant, mais ses défauts ayant été corrigés, Skate 2 est de loin le meilleur jeu de skate du moment, et peut être même de tous les temps. C’est une question de goûts, car Skate 2 n’a rien a voir avec Tony Hawk. Ce dernier donnait l’impression d’être dans un dessin animé jouable dans lequel les trucs les plus fous étaient envisageables.

Dans Skate 2 on a l’impression de plonger dans une des ces vidéos qu’on matait chez les potes (genre chez Vounch, au pif); les possibilités d’amusement avec un simple banc sont déjà impressionnantes, les contrôles viscéraux, la ville superbe, la lumière qui joue avec les grattes ciel… magnifique. Conséquence annexe: Le jeu est difficile. Putain qu’il est difficile. Mais les cris de jouissance qu’il t’arrache quand t’arrive enfin à relever un défi lancé par un connard de skateur sont sans égal.

Se promener dans les ruines de Washington DC dévasté par la guerre nucléaire accompagné d’un petit jazz des 60s et d’un mutant de 2 mètres 50, c’est possible. Et c’est drôle.
Fallout 3 c’est un peu Morrowing/Oblivion dans un monde post apo. Pour ceux qui ne comprennent rien à la phrase précédente: C’est un jeu dans lequel ton personnage évolue dans un monde ouvert (et dévasté par une guerre nucléaire).

Ton personnage évolue aussi tout court (ses compétences se développent au fur et à mesure de l’expérience) et tu peux être gentil ou méchant.
Le jeu est un bac à sable et les possibilités d’exploration sont énormes. La quête principale est un peu courte, mais c’est un des rares défauts de ce jeu qui va te faire aimer réparer ton fusil de chasse à l’ombre des restes du Washington Monument en buvant du whisky vaguement irradié.

I’ve been mulling out a review of the new Malouf Money cup Skate 2 DLC since it came out. I did not want to post a review with words and the odd screen shot I actually want to post a video showing you what you can skate. Rather than just “borrow” one off of youtube I wanted to make my own. I know you can download clips off of the Skate 2 website but without a decent editing software there is no point in uploading them.

So while I have been chasing down some editing software I have been practicing my filming. I thought I was getting good until I saw this tutorial on youtube.

This is what I have been trying to achieve for ages but have been going about it the wrong way. I’m going to have to recapture a lot of my favorite lines with this method as it looks so much smoother. I reckon I could have the video up by the weekend if I can avoid the distractions of Halo and L4D.

The DLC is very good by the way, hows that for a quick review?

Con Skate 2, puoi costruire i tuoi percorsi spostando oggetti come sbarre, cassonetti o panchine, andando così a creare gli ” Spot = Luoghi creati “, che puoi tranquillamente condividere online per farli provare agli altri giocatori, come puoi fare tu stesso scaricando le creazioni degli altri. I added a couple of 1000 Microsoft points to my account on Monday to pick up Castle Crashers. This has rekindled my love for the old XBLA.  I used to download games every week, some of my best Live memories were spent on Marble Blast and Uno as well as fighting my way up the leaderboards on Frogger and Digdug.

But recently my only purchase has been Peggle, which was a must buy, the only other title I plan to pick up is braid. Apart from these two very little has piqued my interest.  Its not even the price that scares me off its the replay value.  Thats what XBLA is all about, I want a game that I can go back to again and again, whether it be multiplayer or single player.

In the past week two games came out that I’m going to pick up in the near future. Rocket Riot and Worms 2 Armageddon. I’ve downloaded the demos and there both great fun but the real joy is got to be found in the multiplayer. I know Worms is going to be as amazing as every other incarnation. You cant really go wrong with worms especially with added weapons, levels, skins and game modes. Just look at the screenshots.

I liked the demo of Rocket Riot but what made me want it even more was the review from Hi-score. You cant beat a good multiplayer arcade game to break up the large bouts of pwning noobs (read:getting beat) on Halo.

Even though I have raved about these games I’m not even buying them this week. My points are getting saved to buy Battlefield 1943. I think 90 % of the Live community has been waiting for this game to come out. Can you blame them when you see videos like this…its an arcade game!?

Major Nelson announced that the game is going to be out on Wednesday July the 8th. I’m going to be picking this up as soon as it comes out. This is going to make for such a busy gaming week, what with Bungie day on the 7th then the new Skate 2 DLC on the 9th…oh and did i mention my birthday and local town gala is on the 11th. Its going to be a good week people, lots of gaming and lots of socializing!

The new Skate 2 DLC was announced and its going to be Malouf Money park. This is a real park and competition that takes place in the states. The DLC is a bargain at only 240 MP and 250 gamer points up for grabs. As you can see from the screenshots below the park has a nice little street section with a ridiculous half pipe at the back. The half pipe looks great fun to skate with the grind gaps and the hips and curves on the wall. I’m really really excited about this and even more excited about a little rumor that’s emerged about Skate 3. Have a read here.

I think I’ve waffled on too much today, hope its not too much to take in.

All attendees can ride the virtual course for themselves in the Skate 2 booth, located near the front of the festival, where the Maloof Money Cup Pack will be available for playing.

Skate 2 ups the ante in delivering all the grit, creativity, and culture of skateboarding with all-new tricks that allow players to skate it their way – both on and off the board. Gamers can create their own epic skate spots which can then be shared and experienced by others around the world. The game also features a revamped Thrasher Hall of Meat mode that will have players spending countless hours pulling off bone-crushing wipeouts and bails.

Ea and Blackbox are going to be gracing us with even more Skate 2 DLC. It was announced today by Hippyjump over Twitter.

Is there more than DLC being announced? I thought he would be tweeting more about tonight but alas not.

So, what could it be? A brand new addition? More from the old San Van? Who knows. Personally I hope it will be a chunk of the old city, I would love to skate the art gallery again. It would be easy for them to remake the Plan B park or the old San Van Stadium.

A brand new area would be amazing. Imagine if they have added a part of a real city to skate with a new story. I would love to skate real locations and recreate some classic skate video moments, I’m sure the community would love this.

E3 was dope and all but I had my fill of video games for a while. When the event ended I knew I needed a break from anything related to gaming. Don’t get me wrong cause E3 was fun. But being in two large show floors surrounded by bright lights, loud music, and too many people to count will grate on you. So I went a week and a half long detox to reset myself.

But now I’m back in it like I never left.

I got the gamefly up again with Skate 2  and UFC 2009 Undisputed. I’m thinking about putting Midnight Club LA on there too but I want to make sure I get those games first. I don’t watch UFC but the game looks fun so I’ll give it a shot. If I don’t like it it’s back in the mailbox like nothing happened.

In the meantime I’ll keep running this netflix streaming. I’m watching Remember the Titans right now haha. Ya killin’ me Petey! (c) Denzel
