I’ve traveled all over the states and visited plenty of Street Wear stores and Skateshops, but The Lair in Hartford, CT was a true family environment. Monday the owner was all the way real, he broke down where Zoo York originated from and how a lot of the stores we visit daily evolved. While I was the there I had no idea that there was a miny pool behind the back door that looked like an area for stock. Very dope…the best thing about the store is that he charges box price for SB’s (my hero). I honor that brother I wish you all the success.

Tri-State Skate will be hosting a premiere for one of the best videos of this year “Too Much Love 2: The Breakdown” which features skating from John Bolino, Brett Dasovic, Chris Farmer, Michael Garlinghouse and Jeph Howard. Just based on the line up the video sound sicks and the trailer looks amazing. Besides the premiere tomorrow, there will also be a $10 session at Drop-In skatepark along with a bunch of great sales at Tri-State. “We will be having a premiere at the shop this upcoming Monday, November 30th at 7pm. Copies of the video will be for sale for $20. Following the premiere will be a session downstairs at the skate park($10 Monday Nite Skate). One of New York’s newest and best skateshop’s has an online store now. Tri-State Skate is building up their online presence through bigcartel and will have an official online store in the future. Now you can order online from a NY shop making the shipment process faster and easier. You can also visit Tri-State skate at 143 Rt. 59 East Building 4E in Hillburn, NY.

Amsterdam’s Subliminal skateshop entered the ‘Rollend Holland’ contest, where skateshops battled each other with montages of their teamriders. Apparently Subliminal won best soundtrack and 7ply (Rotterdam) won the whole contest. So with out any further a do: Subliminal’s entry. Hopefully more will follow.

The newest Billy O’Neil pro skate has not been officially released yet but Revolution Skate shop seems to be the first to have them available telling all what the new skate includes. The setup includes a USD v-cut cuff with an I Fish NY logo and Billy’s signature in the back, Create Original frames, Fish’s pro Sifika liner, Fish’s pro Street Artist wheels and USD abec 5 bearings. My only confusion is in regards to the liner as Billy is sponsored (or was) by Jug liners and based on the photo the liners in the pic look like Jug’s as well. You can pre-order them now at Revolution.

Tri-State Skateshop has posted up some exclusive pictures (at least to me, I haven’t seen them on any other site yet not even on the GOST site…or maybe they are and I just can’t find them) of the new Fall/Holiday GOST line. Sunday went very nicely in the shop. Lots of people coming in for their first boards. One of which will have a custom paint job by Jordan – very cool. The first slide clinic will be this weekend on Saturday the 31st. Yes, that is Halloween, and YES you can wear your costume to the slide clinic if you so desire. We will be starting with a basic pendulum and for those that want to get freaky, we can work on 360s and stand-up slides or anything that gets you excited… All you need to bring to the clinic is your smile, a helmet, a skateboard and a desire to get slippery… Slide Gloves will be sold at a special clinic price by Doug the engineer of SOMOS skateboards and if your board isn’t perfect for sliding that’s fine because we’ll have a few to try there. The only limitation to the clinic is that you are over the age of 18. The week of the fourth annual Last Man Standing contest, Flatline Skateshop was home to a memorable pro signing. What was just supposed to be a simple in and out event, turned into a session and a huge crowd that forced the local police to take notice and wonder what our large group was doing in front of the shop. So passiert es nun in Hannover. Cleptomanicx Teamfahrer Dennis Laass der kürzlich sein 10jähriges bei uns feierte, eröffnet seinen Skateshop”High Five” in Hannover zusammen mit seinem Kompagnon Oliver AALbrecht.

Das ganze in bester Lage, in Linden im schönsten Viertel der Stadt in der Limmerstrasse, 1Minute vom Skatepark und gleich um die Ecke vom Geddospot.

Zur Zeit wird fleissig gehandwerkt und wenn aales klappt geht es am kommenden Montag den 5.10. los.

Sunday was another good day at the shop. Lots of people filing in and out getting little things here and there. Two cats came in to exclaim that the Monarch disc is absolutely delicious so we made sure to take note of it. Also, we had four more people interested in the slide clinic plus a family of three, mom, dad, and son. It will be an all ages welcome event and as the date gets closer it looks like it will be in the Presidio due to traffic concerns. The purple skunk smoke wheels have been selling well since they have a great size and duro for all around mashing…

Downhill skateboarding sliding lessons through the Purple Skunk boardshop. For group lessons it will be 10 dollars per person and individual lessons are also available. I will be determining the place and time within this week because even though I feel comfortable in the Sunset, many folks will be sketched out with the traffic so I also need a car-less area. Down the line it would be great to expand the class so there can be one on the west side of the city and one on the east. I’ve already got three sign-ups already so I will be posting another craigslist ad shortly.
