Modelur is a SketchUp plugin for parametric urban design. It offers basic tools for quick and effective urban design. In contrast to traditional CAD tools, where the building is described by its width, length and height, Modelur uses parametric approach, in which the building can also be designed by a combination of desired final parameters, e.g. built area, gross floor area or number of storeys. When one of the basic parameters is changed, the built area is immediately adjusted – all buildings get updated and urban control values recalculated.

Semua partisi bisa dilepas pasang. Jadi setiap modul 3 x 3 m bisa digabung menjadi 3 x 6  m, 6 x 6m,  3 x 9 m..bahkan 6 x 12 m..

Mushola dengan mengambil modul Saung yang ada. Satu bangunan 6 x 6m. Juga dengan partisi disemua balok keliling.

Sehingga memudahkan untuk membagi untuk Perempuan dan Laki- laki. Atau dibuka semua untuk dipakai Jum’atan..

Tentu saja sudah dengan arahan Qiblat..

Bila diperlukan, kre ramin bisa diturunkan..Terpasang disetiap antar kolom(tiang)..

Tempat wudhu tampak dari arah Musholla.Terpisah untuk Perempuan dan Laki- laki. Masing- masing dibuat untuk Wudhu berdiri dan duduk..

Menggunakan kran tersembunyi didinding. Guna terhindar dari terbentur kepala saat Wudhu. Juga menggunakan kran sensor.

SketchUP Model. December 19, 2009

I have been observing and pondering the gossamer pieces, and more and more forms appear to be floating, swaying as if under water. A benign medusa of sort.

I would like to try my hand at creating a video with this images, and simulate motion. The only videos I’ve done are 3D animations, so working with stills should be interesting, the variety created by different scales, colors, and degrees of transparency/layering.

I also thought about these pieces being installed at such an overwhelming scale so that the image would encompass/engulf the viewer, and the illusion of being underwater or floating -or lost in a good way -could be more complete.

I had in the back of my mind to try out at some point a digital mock-up using SketchUP (since last time I used it I am simply astounded by the variety of resources available and realistic human figures- no more carton man). Then I thought, why not just do it now, and eliminate one item from the long list of ideas for my art and this blog. So here it is. How would it look in a club? It could substitute a whole wall and perhaps be lit from behind to preserve the luminous qualities seen on a computer screen. Perhaps these lights could change color and intensity with the mood, the time, the music.

You may say I’m a dreamer. But I am not the only one.

Kali ini dispenser kita ngga lagi musti diangkat- angkat( kesannya koq ngga pinter ya)..

Tampil lebih rapih dan manis, ngga berantakan, kompak dan eh ya juga praktis.

Buat dudukan papan yang bisa/ ngga mesti, dilubangi sedikit lebih kecil dari lingkaran dispenser.

Pasang 4 roda disetiap ujung.

Ketinggian papan alas  sama- dengan papan bawah pantry kita.Begitu juga dengan ukurannya. Agar saat terpasang dan tertutup, ruang tetap terhindar dari masuknya tikus dan teman2nya.

idenya adalah, air dalam dispenser dihisap dengan pompa aquarium kecil( 25 watt) melalui pipa kecil/ tombol diatas meja. 

Keluar dari pipa lengkung..

Gegap- gempita teknik boleh tampil megah,

Seliweran kabelnya yang sayang ngga indah,

Voila!!…

Teknik buka- tutup? Me – Nyu – Sul……….

Lepas Motherboard  dll. dari casingnya. Pasang di bingkai laci meja. DVD-drive pasang seperti tampak pada gambar. Begitu juga dengan input usb. dll. yang perlu menghadap kedepan.

Kipas pendingin dipasang dialas laci dengan dudukan, dipasang menghadap kebawah.  Agar motherboard bisa lebih dingin lagi, laci meja dibuat tanpa alas.

Saat pemeliharaan motherboard, laci tinggal ditarik keluar saja.

Agar guntingan papan LCD dan Printer tampak samar, dibuat garis- garis motif.

Rapih dan praktis kan?

Another project I’ve been working on with Briggite Hurtubise (research, Spanish translation, agent scheduling), Pengfei Huang (coding, OGRE), Joe Kider (coding, OGRE), Norm Badler (faculty overseer), Emily Weihrich (people) and Diana Forest (props) is rendering an ancient Inca ploughing ritual using CAROSA (Crowds with Aleatoric, Reactive, Opportunistic, and Scheduled Actions). A few weeks ago I suited up to do motion capture for the ritual (sample movements: “sacrifice llamas,” “dance in one-two rhythm”), and now we’re in the process of creating people, props, mapping the environment, and coding the schedules of the ‘agents’ in the ritual. The final project will include narration (in English and Spanish) of the ritual itself, the mythological origins of the Inca and how they relate to this particular ritual, and the astronomical significance of this day in the Inca calendar. We’re not done yet, but here are some images from the process:

I finally figured out how to use the sandbox features in SketchUp.

On the cover we will place a leather covered, carved salamander the coat-of-arms animal of the Aggtelek National Park.

The IES <Virtual Environment> integrated suite of building performance software supports energy analysis, energy load calculation, CO2 emission calculation, solar shading analysis, natural ventilation analysis, and much more – providing a very useful and effective approach to green building design and development.  IES’ services and products aid significantly in the provision of healthier and more energy efficient built environments.

The video shows how to export files from a Mac SketchUp installation into IESVE software using Parallels Desktop.

Students are encouraged to concentrate on their models of the NIS high school building.  Measurements need to be taken.  Your model needs to be fairly accurate.

ecoScorecard, the technology platform that helps building product specifiers evaluate environmental attributes of products, revealed at the Greenbuilt in Phoenix the new ecoScorecard plug-in that works with Google SketchUp and provides a critical link between popular BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and important environmental rating systems such as LEED.

The new integration will enable users to easily access environmental product attributes and rating system calculations for ecoScorecard enabled products that are in the Google 3D Warehouse, resulting in faster and more accurate rating system documentation for Google SketchUp users.

“The BIM process is built on the concept of coordinated information, and ecoScorecard takes that process a step further by providing an immediate to link to environmental product attributes and rating system calculations,” said Martin Flaherty, president of ecoScorecard. “Users can now pull data from ecoScorecard enabled products directly into the model and use that information throughout the design process.”

Introduced in 2007, ecoScorecard provides product specifiers with the ability to search and evaluate products based on environmental characteristics. The program does the calculations necessary for rating systems such as LEED, GGHC Labs 21, CHPS, and the NAHB Green Home Building Guidelines and includes and accounts for other third-party product certifications. The tool also produces the product documentation necessary for inclusion in the submission process. ecoScorecard is free to users and is supported by manufacturers interested in making the specification of green products easier for both their customers and their salespeople.

“Our original mission for ecoScorecard was to help make the specification of green products easier, and that has not changed,” explained Paul Shahriari, CEO of ecoScorecard. “Now, parallel to the growth of the green building movement, BIM is changing the entire building process. Never before has there been a single system that could provide context to all parties thinking about building. And the ecoScorecard technology platform is perfectly poised to link environmental product attributes and rating systems to BIM tools.”

Mr. Shahriari explained that ecoScorecard’s initial BIM integration was designed for Google SketchUp because of the accessibility and popularity of a Google tool. Plug-ins for other BIM tools such as Revit are slated for release next year.

Students are reminded that on each computer in the lab there is a series of video tutorials for SketchUp.  Please refer to these, particularly to find out how the tools work.

There are also a couple of ebooks with much information on how to use SketchUp and complete tasks.  Please refer to these.

Durante el fin de semana trabajé en un pequeño proyecto, un departamento dentro de un área de 95m2. Una sola recámara con baño amplio y vestidor,  medio baño para visitas, sala, comedor y cocina con isla, dentro de ese mismo espacio se localiza un clóset con centro de lavado y despensa.  Me encantaría saber lo que piensan, si podrían vivir en ese lugar o si me faltó agregar algo que para ustedes sería escencial tener en su casa.

During the weekend I worked on a small project, a department with only 95m2. A single bedroom with large bathroom and dressing room, bathroom for visitors, living, dining and kitchen with island, within the same space  is  located a laundry closet and pantry. I’d love to know what you think, if you could live in that place or if I forgot to add something that  would be essential for you to have in your home.

The following are Google SketchUp renderings of the set design for Penn’s iNtuitons Experimental Theatre Group’s production of Eurydice (by Sarah Ruhl), from the first designs to the last (before construction). I collaborated with Susannah Krewson in brainstorming and designing, and worked with an amazing set crew and dedicated master carpenter to construct the final product.

The project is well underway now. The two robots from our school have begun their exploration of Earth and so far have encountered penguins and cheetahs. (Not in the same place)

What is making this really exciting is the input I’m getting from the kids. The robot design website was found by one of them and so was the alien naming site. I also now have another boy who has used Sketchup at home creating the basecamp for the project on the Planet Qej

And what is now really exciting is that we have our first robots from another school getting ready to take part. @Pilgram at Radstock Primary has now added three more robots to the expedition.
