Nick Clegg to take on the BNP if they put up a candidate for the BBC question time programme, that should be a laugh.

The Lib Dems are way out of touch when it comes to knowing what people really think about the BNP, I am sure that loads of people think they are just nasty skin heads who have nothing better to do but I believe that most members of the BNP are ordinary people who are fed up with England being taken for a ride by politicians, people want security, people want jobs, people want schooling for their children, people want to be able to see a doctor that can speak their language and not need a bloody interpreter, people don’t wish their children to be in the minority in their local schools, people don’t want illegal immigrants being given preferential treatment when it comes to social housing ( As it does now if they have children ), Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems have little hope of hurting the BNP because the general public know that successive governments have failed to take heed of their concerns, maybe the BNP will look after the English people of this country where the other political parties have failed them.

Over crowded Prisons.

American prisons went from semi reasonable numbers to being the overcrowded, violent, dangerous places they are today. This in large part due to the war on drugs.

The aspect of American jails that gets joked about, brushed aside, but not discussed in a serious enough manner is that of male rape.

Racism in Prison.

Apparently prisons are divided along gang line, racial lines, and so forth, so it turns out it’s a wonderful breeding ground for racism. Apparently many enter the prisons ignorant of racism or without any gang affiliations and in order to survive that is one of the things that happens you join a gang, crew or stick to your own kind along race and color lines. Thus why any attempts to desegregate prisons have to take this into consideration. They also have to take into consideration that this set up in some ways is ued for protection of some prisoners to stop other groups from brutally raping some group members.
The Rapes themselves happen in a variety of ways. Some of them are physically forced rapes, some are threats, some are extortion, many are psychological or praying on vulnerabilities. I was surprised that many of the same techniques that are used on women in society are also used in these jails. Meaning that rape is not always about force, it’s often about getting power over your target. Men in jail do use force, but they also use psychological techniques to break down their targets and to get them to submit, or become indebted to the aggressor.

Part of what happens with rapes along race lines is likely what is playing a part in changing attitutes and creating racism in these jails. Eg. White males, young males, gay males, and effiminate looking males are prime targets for sexual assults and rapes. However there are no hard and fast rules, in jail anyone can be a target.

Dividing along race lines can provide some protection, but only so much, because men are then often hit upon by members of their own groups for sex as a means of protection.

HIV/AIDS
HIV is a very real concern for the US prison authorities. An estimated 2% of the US prison population is HIV-positive – a prevalence four times greater than that of the general American population. The exact prevalence of HIV in prisons varies from state to state: in New York 7% of inmates are infected with HIV, compared to less than 1% in California.
This is a real problem in prison, the prison population has a 4-7 times higher HIV rate than the general population.
HIV rise in the Black Community

I found what I thought might be a correlation between the higher rates of HIV in the black African/American population and the incarceration rates. I was happy to find a couple of articles on this and one study.

What I also found surprising is the number of men estimated to be having male on male sex willingly or unwillingly behind bars. Some research has it at 50%

Remember there are 2.1 million men behind bars. if the studies are correct that would be about 1.5 million at any given time engaging in male on male sex at some point, in many cases unwillingly and unprotected. When I say unwillingly, I mean that outside of forceful rapes, and psychological cohesion, some men do engage in male on male sex, but if they were not forced to for protection, many men would not choose to engage in male on male sex.

The men are being released back into the communities and then they are infecting new partners. This most likely why there is a rise in HIV amongst the black population

On a muggy Florida evening in 2008, I meet Iraq War veteran Forrest Fogarty in the Winghouse, a little bar-restaurant on the outskirts of Tampa, his favorite hangout. He told me on the phone I would recognize him by his skinhead. Sure enough, when I spot a white guy at a table by the door with a shaved head, white tank top and bulging muscles, I know it can only be him.

Over a plate of chicken wings, he tells me about his path into the white-power movement. “I was 14 when I decided I wanted to be a Nazi,” he says. At his first high school, near Los Angeles, he was bullied by black and Latino kids. That’s when he first heard Skrewdriver, a band he calls “the godfather of the white power movement.” “I became obsessed,” he says. He had an image from one of Skrewdriver’s album covers — a Viking carrying a staff, an icon among white nationalists — tattooed on his left forearm. Soon after he had another white power symbol, a Celtic cross, emblazoned on his stomach.

At 15, Fogarty moved with his dad to Tampa, where he started picking fights with groups of black kids at his new high school. “On the first day, this bunch of niggers, they thought I was a racist, so they asked, ‘Are you in the KKK?’” he tells me. “I said, ‘Yeah,’ and it was on.” Soon enough, he was expelled.

For the next six years, Fogarty flitted from landscaping job to construction job, neither of which he’d ever wanted to do. “I was just drinking and fighting,” he says. He started his own Nazi rock group, Attack, and made friends in the National Alliance, at the time the biggest neo-Nazi group in the country. It has called for a “a long-term eugenics program involving at least the entire populations of Europe and America.”

But the military ran in Fogarty’s family. His grandfather had served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam, and his dad had been a Marine in Vietnam. At 22, Fogarty resolved to follow in their footsteps. “I wanted to serve my country,” he says.

Is the military so hard up for bodies, they will break their own rules?  These are people whose only design is race hatred. Blogs stand for something, and I think it’s high time we band together on this one and hound our elected representatives that this is totally unacceptable.

Immediately after the election of President Barak Obama, many felt the country was going in the right direction in terms of racial relations, but attacks of terror and hatred have only intensified. Within 24 hours of his election, Nov. 5, 2008, Benjamin Haskell, Michael F. Jacques Jr. and Thomas Gleason Jr., all whom are White, set fire to the Macedonia Church of God In Christ, which is located in Springfield, Mass. According to the Boston Globe, Haskell was asked by an associate why they set fire to the church. Haskell replied, “Because it was a Black church.” A CNN report stated that on the day of the election of President Obama, a 55-year-old man by the name of Don Black, former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard, stated that more than 2000 people joined his website. Statistics suggest KKK and other hate groups are gaining strength because of the election of President Barak Obama.

In the state of Texas, there have been many reported hate crimes that have occurred within the last 12 months and many more that may go unreported out of fear of the Klan or other hate groups retaliating. An alarming amount of Black churches have been targeted in Texas by the Klan and other hate groups. In May 2008, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in the Marshall area had White KKK Power painted on its walls. Also in June of 2008, Center Hill Free Will Baptist Church of Nesbitt, Texas had KKK propaganda painted on its walls. The church is 107 years old. There have been at least four churches targeted in Texas within the last year by racial violence and intimidation.

Bob Lydia, the 1st vice-president of the Texas NAACP and a national NAACP Board Member, stated, “There is a rise in the Klan. There is a movement of folks who never had interest in the KKK until Barak Obama became President Barak Obama.” The Anti Defamation League listed over 18 known hate group activities in the state of Texas for 2008. These groups include the Klu Klux Klan; America’s Promise Ministries; Crew 38, a skin head group; Neo Nazi’s and more. On Nov. 15, 2008 and Dec. 20, 2008 paramilitary training was even conducted by the Texas Militia.”

However, Texas is not alone in racial hate group activities, because there were racially motivated acts within the last year that sprung up nationwide. On Oct. 1, 2008, in Oak Harbor, Washington, an Oak Harbor thrift store, owned by Unity Fellowship Church, was vandalized and the statue of a Black mother was decapitated. According to the Whidbey News Times, Pastor Fannie Dean has also been getting threatening letters from the KKK.

In April, the Bible Way Church in Sumter County, S.C., a predominately Black congregation of 110 people, had an upside down cross, swastikas and racial slurs painted on the church. The sheriff’s department stated it had no plans to charge anyone with a hate crime.

On May 8, in the Rapides, La. Area, a man named Jeff Duncan was arrested by the local sheriff’s department on weapons and narcotics charges after a raid on his home. At the time of his arrest, he had a Confederate flag with KKK on it, a homemade bomb, several fire arms and various types of drugs.

There is a trend across the United States of open aggression and displays of racially motivated violence toward African Americans and other minorities. According to Lydia, “This is fueled by the Skinheads and the Ku Klux Klan as well as copy cats, and the hatred is just now coming out.”

Yet these acts of racial intimidation are not only in the form of burning crosses, nooses, or swastikas. Now people had never been thought of as being racist are striking out across the nation, in places never suspected. Lydia says he is getting many reports of such activities.

“People are saying mean spirited things,” Lydia said. One such case was in Marshall. On March 20, Artabus Driver filed a lawsuit against Felderhoff Brothers Drilling Company. The complaint stated that the crew leader had distributed leaflets for the KKK and confederate flag stickers that other workers put on their hats. Driver further complained that he was not allowed to use the White workers restroom or sleep in the same quarters with them. Driver said he was concerned about his safety.

The statistics are, in fact, alarming. It appears that, as President Obama continues to reach across political, socio-economic and racial divides in the U.S., as well as around the world, the KKK and other hate groups are mobilizing across the United States.

Imagine if Ku Klux Klan members had stood menacingly in military uniforms, with nightsticks, in front of a polling place. Add to it that they had hurled racial threats and insults at voters who tried to enter.

Now suppose that the government, backed by a nationally televised video of the event, had won a court case against the Klansmen except for the perfunctory filing of a single, simple document – but that an incoming Republican administration had moved to voluntarily dismiss the already-won case.

Surely that would have been front-page news, with a number of firings at the Justice Department.

They wonder why I dislike them.
I was in my apartment as usual minding my own business, when I heard my door press in, but it’s locked so it just makes that sound, like someone is trying the door. Anyways I went to investigate. So I stand there. The door does it again. I check the peep hole, but don’t see anything, but the door does it again. Like someone is pushing in my door. I also press on the door from the inside, and the door presses again, like someone is pushing it in. So I open it, cause I want to see who is there.

I know not a sane thing to do at that time of the night, but really. Guess what a shock it’s the creepy neighbour guy. So I am like WTH are doing at my door at this time of night? He has nothing to say, because he has just been caught. It’s like the last time I caught this loser peeking through the slot at the same time of night. Maybe he has an early morning disease that makes him have to peek into other people’s homes, or attempt to push in or open the door. My personal theory is that he is probably an ex jail job, one of those ones they let out, and one that I would keep little kids away from. Then again I don’t like him. 

These people wonder why I want bad things to happen to them, just like the last time I caught this guy at the door, he had nothing to say and just goes back into his apartment. I don’t know if he was trying to break in, or just rip down my signs again, but the f*cker is creepy as hell. He is exactly what I think those former Stasi types would look like.

Let’s see as a Targeted Individual, I know better than to waste time with the police. I no longer trust them after my experiences with trying to get the Gang Stalking stopped. The last time I tried to file a report with them, if you recall they were kind enough to twist the details. At the same time, the snitch needs to be put on a very short lease. I really find it offensive that these people get away with this stuff. I would not doubt if the loser came up with a story of how he was out for an innocent stroll, when I just magically decided to open the door at the same time and start yelling at him. I am sure that these people, are are as creepy as they were in East Germany, or worst.

I don’t want to make too light a deal of this, because I am pretty sure they use mentally disturbed people, and he may well in time prove to be one of these types of people, but at the same time, I don’t want to blow it out of proportion either. Who knows if he will wonder to any other doors in future, maybe actually break into an apartment in future. Then again they all cover for each other so I wonder if it would even matter, if a snitch commits a crime against another snitch is it really a crime? Finding the right balance, protecting myself, society and punishing creepy Stasi losers.

Jacqui Smith’s latest disaster: Banned U.S. shock jock never even tried to visit Britain – now he’s suing

A U.S. ’shock jock’ DJ named among 16 extremists and fanatics banned from the UK has said he will sue Jacqui Smith for defamation.

Michael Savage, who has up to 10 million listeners, branded Home Secretary Jacqui Smith a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘witch’ after being named alongside hate preachers and a member of Hamas.

Last night lawyers suggested he had a strong case as he had not advocated violence, unlike others on the list. It was thought he could claim up to £200,000 in damages.

The presenter is furious at being put on the list of 22 hardliners banned from entering the UK because the Home Office claims they have fostered extremism or hatred.

He says he had not been planning to travel to Britain anyway and has now called on his millions of listeners to boycott the country.

Mr Savage added: ‘It’s interesting to me that here I am a talk show host, who does not advocate violence, who advocates patriotic traditional values – borders, language, culture – who is now on a list banned in England.

‘What does that say about the government of England? It says more about them than it says about me.’

The list has turned into another humiliating gaffe for the Home Secretary after officials were forced to admit not all the fanatics, like Mr Savage, wanted to come to the UK.

It has emerged their names were placed on it simply on the off-chance they may decide to visit.

At least two – teenage skinheads Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky – have no chance of boarding a plane to Britain since they are currently serving ten years in a Russian jail for leading a gang which committed 20 racially-motivated murders.

Challenged to say how many on the banned list had been planning to visit Britain, a Home Office spokesman said today: ‘I do not have that information.’

Mr Savage declared: ‘I have been banned from Great Britain. I had not planned on going there, I had not been there in over 25 years.

‘When I woke up this morning I just thought I could not be true. The point is that today it is me, tomorrow it will be somebody else.’

Using his show The Savage Nation, which is broadcast on more than 350 U.S. radio stations, to attack the ban, he called Miss Smith a ‘witch’.

‘For her to link me up with skinheads who are killing people in Russia, to put me in league with mass murderers who kill Jews on buses, is defamation,’ he claimed.

‘I thought this was a joke or a mistake. How could they put Michael Savage in the same league with mass murderers when I have never avowed violence? As a result of this, I am going to sue.’

He added: ‘When has this witch heard my show, since it’s not syndicated in England?

‘Thank God we broke away from that cowardly country.’

‘That is exactly the kind of speech the founders of our country meant to protect with the First Amendment.

‘And it should send a cold chill through the heart of any man who loves freedom when he asks himself, “whose ideas and speech will be banned by government next”.’

Jameel Jaffer, an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, told the San Francisco Chronicle that the move showed countries were prepared to ‘use their borders as a weapon of censorship’.

‘While some of these people may express views that others find disagreeable, often the cure is worse than the disease,’ said Mr Jaffer. ‘It also deprives the citizens of that country of their ability to hear dissenting views.’

MIKE SAVAGE: ‘You know, when I see a woman walking around with a burqa, I see a Nazi.’
He has called the Koran ‘a book of hate’ and added that some Muslims, at least, ‘need deportation’.

ON ISLAM

I have been laying low.  I, like many veterans, are feeling the heat.  The Department of Homeland Security has compiled a report on Right-Wing extremists. After listening to news pundit and several radio hosts rant and rave about the contents, I read the report. SHOCK! YOURS TRULY MUST BE ON SOME DHS WATCH LIST!

Paranoid?  I think not.  The DHS are monitoring my e-mails, they are checking this blog, they know what radio stations I listen to.  Yep, as a recently retired, combat veteran, I am disgruntled, disillusioned, disheartened, and definitely suffering. This makes me a candidate for radicalization!  If you have bookmarked my blog on your favorites, delete me immediately. You never know what government computer geek has scanned your hard-drive and seen that you and I are some how associated (fortunately, so few people actually read this blog…and fewer still know how to bookmark, I am not feeling all that guilty).

To think that a couple weeks ago, I was a candidate to be SECNAV.

One of my highlights from the report was the comparison of the economic and political climate of the 1990’s to today. That would be the recession grown in a wartime Bush administration and the replacement of a Bush with a liberal Democratic administration. Funny, President Obama makes Mr. Clinton look like he should be on a right-wing watch list.

I do take some solace in the fact that I don’t wear a sheet and that my hair is naturally falling out.  Apparently, the whacko nut-job-sheet-wearing crowd and the shaved-head self tat’ing swastika wearing bunch are unhappy with the election of the first African-American President.   So says the DHS report.  That is possible, although the whacko nut-job-sheet-wearing crowd from Dixie may not care since President Obama is not the descendant of a slave. The neo-nazi-shaved-head crowd might be angry with that, but they are hard to miss in even a big crowd.  Thankfully, I am just a combat veteran, and not neo-nazi wearer of bedroom linens.  Further, I would not have applied to be Mr. Obama’s SECNAV, if I did not respect his accomplishment…

Things go down hill after that for this veteran.  I am not thrilled with the new administration’s views on illegal immigration and citizenship, expansion of social programs, and restrictions on the 2nd Amendment.  I read the Federalists Papers and some writings by the revolutionary Thomas Jefferson.  Some of the “Change We Can Believe In” seems to fly in the face of the Founders’ intent, but that does not seem to phase our current regime.  I am not alone in the radical idea that illegal immigration is..well..ILLEGAL; that citizenship is a privilege that is earned; and that the framers really believed that we should have the right to bear arms…just in case we needed them.  And of course, Mr. Obama’s stand on abortion and stem cell research…I digress, the report doesn’t address the radical Right-to-Life extremists.

For twenty years, I served my country.  I believed that we were the Greatest Nation on Earth.  Now, our Commander in Chief is apologizing for that arrogance.  The U.S. is about to take its place in the community of Nations rather than as the Leader of the Free World.  That is the message that I read in the Foreign Press, so the Communicator in Chief is getting his point across (Yes, I read Foreign Media).  The DHS feels that some of us may feel  threatened by the rise of prominence of China, India, Russia, and Western Europe.  I guess China, India,Russia and the Euro crowd did not get the memo on this “One World” community thing.

I was shocked to read that I might snap.  I am apparently a candidate for that.  I had people shooting at me, and people died during attacks on our camp.  I guess I could have PTSD.  Secretary Napolitano, PLEASE SAVE ME FROM MYSELF!

Ranting and Raving and Sarcasm aside, I have two questions “How did this get out?” and “Why did this get out?”  The latter is the more important.  The press possesses both the Right-Wing and the Left-Wing analyses.  These reports were clearly marked (down to the subparagraph) as “FOUO” or “For Official Use Only.”  That makes these classified documents, which should not have been released.  The Right-Wing analysis is just over one week old.  That means that there would not have been enough time for someone in the press to discover the document’s existence and then to apply for its release and then obtain the released document with the inflammatory parts redacted.  Someone handed this document to the press.  Again, I ask, “Why?”

Secretary Napolitano instead of apologizing, which you seem to be contemplating could you please just resign.  The content is bad, the breach of security is ridiculously incompetent.

Col. Stauffenberg and Operation Valkyrie is an important and compelling story to tell, because it is important for the world to know that there was resistance within the ranks of the Third Reich. All too often when reviewing the atrocities of World War II, it is a widespread belief that Hitler had all of Germany under his thumb. Although there were many, many Germans that followed Hitler blindly like sheep, there were MANY who resisted his message of total EVIL.

I just wish if Hollywood was going to invest millions of dollars to tell an important historical story, they would do with an actor who was not a total FREAK of nature!

Racist babies are a bummer. They’re a bummer because they’re always toddling around finger painting swastikas on every surface in sight, and it’s like come on dudes, at least use paper, your racist mom is not the racist maid. On the other hand, it’s pretty practical to use your natural baldness to your advantage by becoming a skinhead, so kudos on that front. That way, if you turn out to be one of those kids that stays bald an unnaturally long time, you can be all “Whatever, I like it this way cause I’m a huge racist.” Spooky bummer: that racist baby’s dad looks like he’s about to climb into your soul.

We are saddened to hear about how many ugly incidents that have happened since President-Elect Obama’s historic election. He is our President-Elect and these incidents are embarrassing this nation to the entire world. These people need to get over it, this man won fair and square! Deal with it!         Breaking news…it appears that the ATF has arrested two “skin heads” for a plan to assassinate Presidential candidate Barack Obama.  There is no further information released at this time.  I will update as the information becomes available.

Update on this post:  The alleged plotters, Daniel Cowart and Paul Schlesselman planned to kill 88 people by shooting them and then, they planned to decapitate 14 African-Americans.  It is sickening to think that people actually would kill someone based only on the color of their skin.  This plan allegedly was going to be accomplished after they robbed a gun shop, to arm themselves for the attacks…then, their plan was to assassinate Barack Obama.  A plan that is illegal and immoral.

Race really seems like just an excuse to justify this “attempted” violence.  Thank God that this plan was discovered…violence doesn’t solve anything.  This election should be decided strickly by votes.  Attacks such as this is usually motivated by some disturbed or misguided person or organization to gain attention or fame by creating a “historical moment”. 

Whether a person is for Barack Obama for president or not…he is a real person; a man with a family who does not deserve to be targeted in such a way.

 If these two individuals are part of a neo-nazi (skin head) movement or organization they have only succeeded in guaranteeing themselves some prison time; if they are in fact, convicted of attempted murder.  Hate crimes should never be tolerated or allowed to be swept under the carpet.  No one group of people is better than another…people are individuals and should be evaluated as such…there is no justification for directing violence towards any group of people or individuals based solely on the color of their skin or which country that they come from. 

 It just doesn’t make sense to be consumed with anger and hatred…but, there is always a sliver of people in any society, that lives in that zone.  Both those for Barack Obama’s Presidency and those against it need to stand up and say that this behavior is wrong; and, that there should be major long term consequences for such actions.

Pints of larger and piss flying through the air, eye glasses stamped into the floor, sweaty old men who still rant about their divorce, guys crushing girls and pushing them to the ground and fists beating at relentlessly punchable bald heads. No this isn’t a football match or karaoke night at a workmans club, it is Oasis’ 2008 visit to Cardiff.

I think we all have to start to understand that people who like music should not go to these gigs. They are not for you or me and we certainly can’t ask to stop goofs being let in. Goofs have money you see. It did actually shock me though, at the amount of losers that come to Oasis gigs. It also shocked me that they do not really want anybody to have a good time, including the band. Me and my girlfriend were at the front for awhile. All we heard was a load of apparently self confessed extreme ‘commen intellagunt’ people snarling abuse at the entire band. Their the same lot of people who threw a jacket on to Noel’s head while he was playing. I think its more like a circus act to these people, a game of whoola hoop.

One of the main things I noticed however, was the way they treat girls. I have been to see extremely heavy bands and never have come across such disregard. In a mosh pit at a heavier gig (much more than Oasis) girls are avoided and helped off the floor if they fall over. At this gig my girlfriend was being elbowed, pushed and shouted at by a group of ‘intellagunt’ people. All of the girls just disappeared pretty much as soon as the band kicked off, just because it was so unsafe. It wasn’t as if it was in a mosh pit either, that was just the general make up of the crowd. My best advice if you find yourself in the front of the crowd (out of curiosity) is to just get out in this situation!

I’ve got to be honest. I didn’t think the Gallaghers would really give a crap about the crowd, but they clearly didn’t look all that impressed. Noel kept looking over at the front, shaking his head in disapproval, while his brother was literally shouting and arguing with some people. From last night’s crowd, I wouldn’t blame them if they think they can’t be arsed next time to tour.

The one big positive however was that they played so well. Liam’s voice has gotten a hell of a lot better than the slightly dodgy vocals he had a few years ago. It seems to be a little more closer to what we all know as ‘that voice off the albums’. The rest of the band played really well too.

I don’t know whether me and my girlfriend will bother going to one again. Its best to remember the good times really isn’t it!

My point is, Oasis should play at football shows. It would save their general fan base the trouble.

Yesterday, I was thinking about this little issue here.  Racism.  It’s obvious no matter what I seem to do, I can’t seem to find anyone.  I really don’t know why either.  I’ve tried all sorts of ways to get people’s attention but all without fail.  Someone might tell me “I’m trying too hard” but what the hell does that even mean nowadays?  I’m just trying to make a good impression, that’s all.  Even when I tried the more casual way, it doesn’t seem to work.

Some people don’t even have to say anything at all and they can still get anyone who they want– not that I want just anyone anyway…

I just don’t get it.  What is it that these people have that don’t?

I think it mostly corresponds with our bodies.  I’ve noticed a trend.  The masculine, white (tanned), with colored eyes seem to get all the attention.  Though I call myself “white”, I don’t think anyone else would except maybe another Arab or Persian or something.  The term is ambigious and doesn’t really correlate to anyone one specific person.  I could be wrong about it because not all white people are loved/adored in the same way.  I suppose, in life, one’s looks is all one needs to get ahead in life– at least for a while.

And though, I can say “fuck it” and move on with my life, if I get rejected, how many times must I say it before I begin to feel alienated; till I feel like something is wrong with me?

I should have quit Dlist a long time ago.  The longer I’m on it, the more miserable I become.  It’s not like I get emailed or hit on really.  *Sigh* What’s the point when people are just going to pass me by and run towards the nearest model-esqe guy?  Clearly, I am not that kind of person…

But.. I am a hypocrite in my own way, as I won’t date dark-skinned individuals either.  Could it be some sort of ugly Freudian mental sabotage that makes me run after the lighter skinned as everyone else here has?  I don’t know but I think my environment was definitely a factor.  I never took much interest in brown-skinned or dark-skinned individuals, often rejecting them at the very start.  So… I am my own monster, in a way.

Maybe… it’s just karma.

È di stamattina la notizia del ritrovamento nel computer di un quattordicenne di Viterbo arrestato per bullismo di materiale neonazista: svastiche, celtiche, filmati di risse allo stadio.

Il sindaco di Verona Tosi (leghista) tenta invano, di fare distinguo, di condannare l’episodio che riguarda la sua città. Intanto dimentica di essere rappresentante proprio di quella politica che ripudia il diverso, che sfotte l’omosessuale, che offende lo straniero. Tutta la destra cosiddetta “istituzionale” si impegna a fare di tutto per dissociarsi da movimenti definiti “certe frange di estremisti”, che in realtà non sono poi così pochi, come vogliono farci credere. Cosa distingue gli uni dagli altri? Quanto c’è di diverso? Semplicemente che gli uni parlano, gli altri agiscono.

Non possiamo stupirci, né indignarci. L’Italia intera ha il dovere di riflettere sui passi che ha compiuto in cabina elettorale, quando a Roma metteva una X sul nome di un “ex combattente neofascista, che ancora indossa la croce celtica appartenente all’amico di destra morto durante un combattimento” (The Independent, 29 aprile 2008), che in Piazza del Campidoglio veniva salutato così:
