Beauty Avatar has been a presence for about 2 years in SL now, with a growing skin inventory and apparently a dito client base. I’ll be very honest with you all. It’s one of the brands I couldn’t care less about. The skins were totally unappealing to me, and so is their brand image… but…, credits where credits are due, their current skin Daria is fast becoming one of my favourites (ok… for what that’s worth, because I fave skins like a teenager has crushes, another one every week… or even multiples a week).

Seriously though, I’ve tried both their latest releases, Zeta and Daria, and whereas Zeta to me still has that sad, spoiled, face ( it’s the highlight on the mouth causing that expression)  Daria is serene pixelfied sophistication. Yes, I’m in love… and if, like me, you never were a fan before… I can recommend you to go at least try a demo.

Hi!! I have soup on the hob, warming winter vegetable soup with crusty bread — so help yourselves, and pull up a seat.  As it is only 4 weeks or so to Christmas, I decided not to over do the clothing, colourwise. That I will do nearer the time

I have some winter clothes to show off today, from a little store that I found in SL located on its own sim! The store is Sprawl, and it offers a nice range of tops, sweaters, jackets, trousers, jeans and some skirts, which are all available as individual colours or as fatpacks. Each item also comes with multiple layers, which to me is a big thing.

In the picture below, I’m wearing the jacker layer of this lovely knit sweater, with prim turtleneck collar and upper & lower sleeve attachments. The bottom part of the sweater is on the pant layer, with the trousers on the underpants layer.

Unfortunately, due to problems with internet, I did not have time to take a close up of the trousers. However, the grey version of the trousers had been blogged by Nissa Nightfire on her blog. Here, I am wearing the Ink version. It must be coincidence that when I was in high school, I had a pair of grey trousers in a similar style.

It is hard to find trainers/sneakers that you like in SL. When I was browsing through the Ducknipple blog, I saw the Harry skateshoes. These are available as individual pairs (8 in all) or as a fatpack. What really caught my eye, is the simplicity of the design of the trainers. They look like they should be very comfortable, and they are! Very comfortable. A good thing given I do a fair amount of exploring round SL.

Popular teen-themed channel 4 television show Skins is due to begin broadcasting its fourth series in January 2010. The show, which began broadcasting on digital station E4 in 2007, has built up a large number of devoted fans. Every two years the cast is replaced with a new set of core characters. About A Boy star Nicholas Hoult starred in the first series as Tony Stonem. The new series will be the last featuring the current cast, which includes Kaya Scodelario as Effy Stonem. There will be eight episodes in the new series. The show is also a hit in the states where an American version, set in Baltimore, is currently in development. A big screen version may also soon be made as it was announced, in May 2009, that Film4 and Skins production company, Company Pictures, are in preliminary talks about producing one. I’m looking forward to the new series and will be disappointed if it proves to be the last one they make. Die Rakeback Situation im Entraction Netzwerk ist etwas seltsam. Entraction ist zwar nur auf Platz 11 aller Pokerseiten und -Netzwerke was den Traffic angeht, aber trotzdem für viele Spieler eine gute Heimat. Denn die vielen schwachen Spieler und die einfache und schlichte Software, die sich gut zum multitablen eignet ist für viele Grinder sehr ansprechend. Und ich gebe es auch offen zu: ich spiele gerne auf Entraction und bin dort genauso zufrieden wie auf iPoker.

Entraction Skins dürfen bis zu 30 % legal Rakeback zahlen. Das wird automatisch am 1. und 15. des Monats in den Account transferiert. Soweit so gut, aber mehr ist im Grunde kaum möglich. Denn Entraction hat ein sehr starkes Sicherheitssystem. Es kann also kein Skin einfach mehr Rakeback verteilen, ansonsten hätte der Skin Probleme!

Die 30 % Rakeback auf Entraction bekommt man dafür aber sogut wie überall auf den Rakeback Webseiten dieser Welt!
