Astăzi am îcercat noul Skype 4.0 sa vorbesc cu cineva la microfon ca am văzut in reclamele cu Skype 4 ca are un sunet de cristal şi imagine mai mare la webcam.

Întradevăr, se aude bine în comparaţie cu Google Talk şi Yahoo Messenger, dar unde scrii e cam naşpa.

Şi încerc eu să adaug pe cineva în listă si am vazut ca îmi arata o gârlă de ID-uri.

Şi ce credeţi ca îmi trece prin cap? să caut ID-uri de cocalari, zis şi făcut, primul “sărci” pe care l-am dat a fost la numele “Jupânu’”, sunt destui proşti cu “numele” acesta, în poza nu am putut sa îi prind pe toţi, dar nu erau mai mulţi de 20.

Următorul cuvânt a fost coptură, de la nenea ala de pe you tube.

Voice over IP company Skype is known for a couple things. One of them is annoying the #@&! out of telephone companies by offering cheap or free voice and video calls over the internet. But another thing that Skype does well is offer users the ability to communicate across long distances with excellent sound quality (assuming you’ve got an excellent microphone plugged into your computer).

That’s because typically telephones only transfers audio signals in a limited frequency range (from around 400Hz to 3.4kHz.. Skype, on the other hand, uses technology that can transmit audio up to 12kHz, which is higher than most of the frequencies in the human voice. In other words, if you’re using decent audio equipment you’ll sound like you’re in the same room.

The problem is it takes internet bandwidth to deliver that kind of voice quality. Skype uses a codec in Skype 4 for Windows called SILK to deliver high quality audio even over low bandwidth internet connections. And now Skype is making that codec available for other companies to use, with no royalties.

According to the company, SILK users 50% less bandwidth than other codecs. It can be scaled in real-time to adjust to network conditions. So what’s in it for Skype? The company wants its codec to be adopted as a standard that could be used in applications, electronic devices, and even phones.

Die finale Version von Skype 4.0  ist raus. Neugierig und experimentierfreudig, wie ich bei neuer Software gerne mal bin, habe ich direkt meiner 3.8 ein Update verpasst.

Das hätte ich mal besser nicht getan !

Direkt nach der Installation wird man vom neuen “Design” regelrecht erschlagen. Oder ich habe die Version für Leute mit extremer Kurzsichtigkeit runtergeladen – das könnte auch sein

Die Optik ist ganz anders, als bei Version 3.8. Konnte man jene noch ansatzweise als schlank bezeichnen und ihr ein brauchbares Design attestieren, so ist dies bei der 4.0 nicht mehr der Fall.

Überall riesengroße Buttons. Man öffnet ein Chatfenster und hat als erstes einen riesigen Info-Bereich über den Kontakt. Im Gruppenchat werden sämtliche Mitglieder per großem Bild dargestellt.

Links und rechts sind große, leere und unnütze Bereiche im Chatfenster.

Als allererstes habe ich in den Kompaktmodus gewechselt. Dieser erinnert noch am ehesten an die alte Version. Warum dieser Modus jedoch “Kompaktmodus” heißt, bleibt mir ein Rätsel. Jener ist immer noch viel zu überladen und klobig.

Insgesamt ist die gesamte Oberfläche überladen und wirkt grob und ineffizient.

Das ganze müsste deutlich filigraner und übersichtlicher ausfallen, um mir zu gefallen.

Ich brauche nicht für jede unbedeutende Option einen dicken Button in jedem Fenster. Und wozu brauche ich einen großen Anruf-Button, wenn ich mit jemandem chatten will ?

Dummerweise lässt sich am Design nichts wirklich ändern. Man kann lediglich den Fensterstyle wieder an Windows anpassen. Das war es !

Kein anpassbares Design, keine Skins, nichts.

Das ist definitiv Murks ! Jedes einfache 08/15 Programm hat meistens die Möglichkeit, das Design und/oder den Skin zu ändern.

Bleibt mir also nur, mich an das klobige Design zu gewöhnen, wieder zur alten Version 3.8 zurückzukehren – oder Skype den Rücken zu kehren.

Unter der Haube hat sich auch nicht wirklich viel geändert. Zur angeblich verbesserten Sprachqualität kann ich nix sagen, da ich Skype nur zum chatten nutze.

Unterm Strich: ein Update lohnt sich nicht ! Schade !

Somente Windows: Skype 4.0 acaba de ser lançado e tem todos os recursos que suas versões beta já tinham no ano passado como grandes janelas para video chat, suporte para Outlook e ferramentas de reportar problemas. Esta versão também melhora a qualidade de suas ligações.

A melhor melhora em comparação com a versão 3.8 e o tamanho da janela para bate papo em vídeo e em texto, alem de ter ficado com um melhor visual. O antigo sistema de duas telas para bate papos em vídeo foi trocado por um layout de imagem em imagem, mas isso pode ser voltado ao normal arrastando para fora da janela o seu próprio vídeo.

Skype também tem um novo gerenciador de som e rede, Silk, que usa a metade da bandwidth para enviar áudio, e ele tenta manter o som estável quando nota que sua conexão esta ficando ruim. O sistema de vídeo faz a mesma coisa para voçe não perder a sua ligação.

Está disponível desde ontem a versão nova do Skype – aquele programa de mensagens instanâneas, que permite ligações para números fixos, através da compra de créditos. Eu acho ele bem, útil pois tem um diferencial em relação aos outros programas: tem conversas em vídeo com tela cheia, e a qualidade do áudio é bem melhor.

Nunca usei muito porque infelizmente pouca gente que eu conheço tem. Mas deixo ele sempre online. Se todas as pessoas que eu precisasse estivessem lá eu até desinstalava o MSN. (Mentira, é óbvio que eu não faria isso).

O legal dessa versão nova é que melhoraram ainda mais a qualidade do vídeo. Tenho uma tela de 22 polegadas em tela cheia o vídeo continua bom! Claro, tem que ter uma internet banda larga decente.

Eu no meu tédio de férias, fiquei procurando pelos meus contatos do Orkut e do Facebook pra adicionar também ali. (Sim, é falta do que fazer).

un altro discorso è invece per la versione beta di skype,che è molto migliorata nella grafica e nelle funzionalità avanzate, ma, a differenza di msn 9, sembra urlare ad alta voce “sono una beta!!!!”.

Tra i difetti principali sono da segnalere, almeno da parte mia, una maggiore lentezza sia a chiudersi al momento di spegnere il computer sia ad avviarsi rispetto alla versione precedente; inoltre, tutte le volte che un mio contatto passa da “libero” ad “occupato” o “non al computer” o viceversa, si chiude.

Vi consiglio quindi di non installarlo, almeno fino alla versione definitiva
