Topics.. Protection.. New home.. The Exiles

     I woke this morning suddenly, 6a.m….I knew why, the emotions of yesterday still flowed through my subconscious.. It was as though I had not slept at all. My mood was sad, and I got dressed and went for a long morning walk thinking deeply about Izzy and her betrayal, and wondered why someone who professed love for me would be so cruel… no answers.

     Mid day found me going in world to sit and try to enjoy my new surroundings.. The little Japanese skybox had it all, and I relaxed immediately.

    Before very long, Fitch arrived.. She is now my guardian, and mentor. She offered protection after the world crashed in on me the night before, and I immediately accepted.. She is a Domme, and has her own sub’s, but what she offered me is different, not requiring service. There are rules I need to obey just the same as if I were a sub in her house..

     I have blocked all paths to me from Izzy, and I was required to send her one last email before I blocked that pathway too.. It spelled out the conditions she could communicate to me, and it now has to go through Fitch or Othius.. So, after that was done Fitch and I sat and talked for well over three hours..

She talked calmly and streamed music to help keep the mood quiet and that helped to enhance my focus.. She layed out the conditions I am now required to follow.. Alot of our conversation I won’t reveal publicly, it was very personal to both her and me. Suffice to say I am feeling like a small bird that joins a new flock and large gentle wings cover me from the wind and rain.. Fitch then took me on a visit to her home and I got to see pictures of her family, and in each room I was reminded of her unique quality and depth as a person.. The difference I felt most was that I knew I could trust her with anything, and right now I needed that..

     We retired for the remainder of the night to the couches at Exile. Fitch continued to stream music and the family that I find myself in relaxed and chatted lightly around me. Candy and Othius both checking on me and they, like Fitch, are integral to my healing..

     The evening drifted along happily and then came time for Fitch to depart.. I remained and took the stream, I am trying to learn what music the staff at Exile prefer. When you spin and entertain you have to give the people who are working with you a chance to indulge into songs they love to hear..

Othius jumped up on a dance pole and made us all giggle with his charming and light hearted antics.. This lifted my mood greatly and I was able to go to bed in a much better place than when I awoke… ~ smiles ~… love to all… Frenzy

We all join Second Life for different reasons. Personally mine was to try something new, being an IMVU user that is. As my previous virtual world was turning into a hot mess I needed something new, something fresh. I came to Second Life in hopes of being a creator and possible model agency owner, the same businesses that I was well known for on my previous game. With all these intents and purposes, I dragged one of my IMVU models with me, someone who now is my best friend and twin sister, Pink Martian. Of course I had to drag her by the ear screaming and kicking, but she came around.

Now when I first joined this world, I started out as a child avatar. Yes, a child avatar. Why? I enjoy being a free spirit, having fun, and well, driving my parents crazy. In search for this family on Second Life, I would spend a lot of time at adoption agencys, meeting people and other children. In the middle of checking out parent panels at one of my favorite agencies, a woman had sent me a message. Asking if I was looking for parents, and getting to know me. Ms. Lexy Addens Martian stood before me, with her big ole pregnant belly and her long blonde hair. I remember thinking how pretty her avatar was, after seeing all the messy looking parents on the panels before me.

After we conversated for an hour or so we had eventually gone back to her home and spent some time together. I then met a few of my future siblings, a cousin, and later on my father. I remember looking up at him in aw, wondering what kind of relationship I was going to have with this man I had just met. How long would I be staying with this family? Where will this take my Second Life?

Now, my Second Life family is everything. So much so, that even when we’re on the phone in real life, they are still being called Mom, Dad, and sissy. This family has been a rock, a mentor, a listening ear, a great venting session, and a bunch of clowns. We stick together through the down falls, the weddings, the children, and the pain. How do we do all of that and not choke each other? Well lets face it, I know you saw the picture above, my Dad is one scary looking man! Not in a bad way, in an amazing protective superman kind of way. And that’s what he truly is. If one of his daughters need him he is there in the drop of a hat, even if he can’t log in, he’ll be right on the next phone call to us.

When it comes to Second Life Dad’s they are very few and far in between. I’ve notice with people I meet, they either just have one parent, or when they do have both, they typically don’t have a relationship with their father. I’m very thankful my father and my entire Second Life family. Give people a chance on this game, and you’ll never know who will step around the corner next.

As soon as I saw this dress, I knew I had to have it. It’s just so cute! Who doesn’t love dinosaurs!? Plus, it’s yellow, which I used to hate but has actually been creeping more into my RL and SL wardrobes as of late. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this round of C88 thanks to the 90s retro-esque theme – it appeals to every bit of nostalgia in my body.

I’m also super happy to announce that I’m now a blogger for 7 Deadly Skins! They have a huge range of really gorgeous skins, both unique ones and their pretty unique main range. They sell most of their skins with multiple ‘body types’. You can buy, say, a skin with cleavage and freckles, or one without freckles and cleavage, and everything in between. I really adore their skins, especially this one which I picked up a while ago when their group hit 1000 members. At Vignette, also known as In Her Shoes, there are 3 free nice shapes to try on for BOTH genders! Don’t forget to say TY to the creator by leaving a few $L if you can in the tip jar or by saying thank you if you see her around and you cannot give anything monetarily.

I am very partial to Dr Life creations. Join the group and camp the lucky board for skins, shapes hairs and clothing and packets up to 1K in value. While it never specifically shows a shape on the lucky board, all of the skin prizes include one. For an Asian or petite style avi of any race this is probably one of the best places to start.

At LAQ, in the outlet section far back on the left, upstairs is a wall of free gifts including the Liv Portrait Skin and Shape.

Once you have a shape you are happy with it may help to move that into the Body Parts folder for easy locating later. If you would like to change something about your shape make sure you first check permissions, if it says no mod you will not be able to make adjustments.  Before you begin alterations make a copy of the shape and rename the one you wish to work on before wearing it. From here you will be able to mod (or modify) this shape to fit your vision for how your avi should look.  I do suggest slow moderate adjustments at first, until you have some practice. If you are dissatisfied with your progress simply delete the old version, make a fresh copy and start again.
