There is now a PowerPoint Ribbon Add-In from QuantumPM that will take care of the problem, it’s called PowerAid.  One of the helpful features of PowerAid is the Select Objects function which allows selection of objects by their type.  PowerAid provides two ways to identify your selection criteria – a dropdown box accessed through the ribbon and a persistent dialog box.  Say you want to change the width of all lines on the slide.  With PowerAid’s Select Objects function you can easily select all of the lines on the slide with 1 click and change them to the style you want.

Once you have the lines selected you can use the easily accessible “Quick Styles” to find the line style you want.

Any type of object can be selected with the friendly dialog. No longer is it hard to select objects inside a group or hidden by other objects.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted a picture, but school has been crazy at the moment. Anyway, I took this photo while I was babysitting Olivia. It was really an assignment for my Visual Communications class. We needed to capture action. It was probably the most difficult assignment so far – mainly because I had to incorporate my theme, which is solitude/quietude. It’s difficult to find solitude in action. But here is one picture. I have many more and will hopefully post them in a gallery during Thanksgiving break.

Bleedin’ good game with huge amounts of gore. L4D2 is packed with a great campaign that you can play with up to 4 of your friends online. Took me about three days to complete on normal with me and my friend, and two bots. After we completed it, we went back and had fun doing some steam achievements. This game can never get boring with the multiplayer Versus and the new Scavenge gamemode. Both gamemodes also include lots of steam achievements that are challenging and fun, and usually contain good tactics too.
Had great fun getting the extra achievements and playing the minigames in the Dark Carnival.

Igår sken solen och matte hade inte så fasligt ont så vi stack ut i skogen och lajjade lite. Sjukt kul asså! För vi hittade ett suuuperbra ställe att leka på, lite så där som ett gömställe. Lövli asså! Vi hade skitakul även om matte hade med sig Svarta Lådan. Sen! När vi var nästan hemma igen så släppte matte mig igen… åsså tog hon fram bollen! Wooaaoo liksom! Mera lek! Wooohooo!! Fett kul asså!

Idag har vi inte gjort så mycket. Matte har ont överallt och är helt tjock i skallen men vi har promenixat lite, myst skitalänge i soffan och kollat på Top Dog. En snubbe som heter Presley vann, han var skitatuff! Vet ni vad han gjorde? Han gick under en fneletant! Värsta tuffa! Asså, jag kollar ju för att se om jag kan få lite inspiration för att träna nya tricks med matte, matte kollar för att Presleys husse är såååå snygg! Suck asså, tvåbentingar…

Saptamana trecuta m-a intrebat cineva daca sunt workalcoolica, am raspuns negativ. Dupa ce mi-am petrecut sambata pentru realizarea prezentarii pentru CMM pot spune ca sunt pe drumul cel bun. (daca esti mereu pe drum, nu ajungi niciodata acasa).  As mai avea oare ceva de zis cand imi spune: “daca poti si am observat ca poti.” Nu stiu daca pot, dar trebuie. Asa ca am incercat sa intorc pe toate fetele ideile si sa pregatesc variante (nu-i asa Bog?). Spre fericirea mea cu mici tertipuri a iesit cum vroiam, voi vedea insa luni dimineata daca imi primesc inca o cireasa de pe tort (sunt norocoasa din punctul asta de vedere). Pentru slide-ul care mi-a mancat nervii, nu pentru altceva.

Apropo de tematica: vineri ma durea capul foarte tare (m-a deocheat Nagel, iti zic!) si chief ma intreaba ce am. Indraznesc sa raspund la intrebare. Evident primesc cel mai tare raspuns: “da, asta e o problema delicata la fete”.  I-am spus ca a fost tare faza, caci m-a nimerit fix in punctul slab. Cum sa nu-l iubesti pe omul asta?!

When was the last time you went to a playground? The last time I went seems like such a long time ago! I can hardly even remember what features there were – spiral slides, straight long slides, flying foxes… Then there’s Quest Zone, the obstacle course for children, complete with slides, tunnels and ball pits. Not having anyone to play in it with, I mostly went on it alone, exploring the different routes and trying to find the slides. Still, I really loved it though not so much falling into the ball pit cos’ it really hurt. Most of the time, they don’t have that many balls that you can bury yourself in balls. Now that I’m older and know that children ACTUALLY pee (urinate)in the ball pits, that’s an added turn-off.

Has it been so long ago since I swooshed down a slide. I remember there were quite a number of ways of doing it.

1. The DIVE: Extend hands in front, and slide on your belly. Not advisable for short slides.
2. BACKWARDS (timid): Sit and slide backwards with your hands on the side of the slide to have control over the speed you are going at.
3. BACKWARDS (fearless): Just slide backwards without stopping
4. The FULL FLAT: Lie on your back and slide either the normal way or backwards. If you slide backwards, watch your head!
5. UPHILL: Run up the slide. Makes coming down more fun because you deserve it for making it to the top
6. No.8: Like a number 8 float, this move involves 2 people sitting, one in front of another and sliding down at the same time. This is best for when you have young siblings who want to ride with you.

(Wow, I can’t believe I came up with all that at the top of my mind. Haha.)

Well, I miss going to the playground. I suppose I could go on the slides and all, albeit risking weird stares by children and their parents but the playground equipment doesn’t fit me anymore. The widths, the lengths, are not really tailored for people past puberty. That’s why, I suggest, someone build an Adult-sized playground. (Okay, don’t think MJ) but this adult sized playground can be marketed as a place to burn calories as well as have fun. I mean, going down the slides, running through tunnels and finding one’s way through a maze like structure does require a certain amount of physical activity.

Always fancied yourself in Ninja Warrior? Why not try “Ninja Warrior, the real people version” where you can go through (easier) obstacle courses and time yourself. This could so be the newest work-out craze. Hahah!

Well, I’m going to West Coast Park with my careteam tomorrow morning so tra-laa!

Cutie Pie and I ran a bunch of errands after we dropped off Wildman at preschool yesterday morning.  As a special treat I swung by a local park on the way home.  The weather was gorgeous but slightly too warm for my taste.  The incredible heat we’ve been experiencing needs to go!

Cutie Pie ran right over to the canal that borders the park.

And began throwing leaves and mulch into the water.

This is a favorite past time for him.  It makes me nervous.  Even though he can swim I’d still be terribly freaked out if he fell into the canal.  I can only imagine how traumatized Cutie Pie would be if he fell into the water unexpectedly.

We checked out this lizard sunning himself next to me on the bench.

After several minutes of leaf/mulch throwing and lizard investigation I suggested we head over to the play ground equipment.  He happily agreed.  I just love the huge grass field at this park.  It makes me want to run too!

There were a bunch of other kids playing on the playground so Cutie Pie, being the slow-to-warm child that he is, was reluctant to play.  Eventually he did manage to climb up one structure that was far away from the other children and slide down the slide.  That was about it.

He much preferred sitting next to me on the bench and using my camera.  Silly kid!

Later that evening, we headed back out for more park fun.  This time Wildman got to go and we went to a different park.  The park we went to was on the beach and we stayed until sundown.  The boys had a blast playing with all of their friends.

Afterward, we headed over to Pizza Hut with Steph and her two boys for dinner.  We sat in a corner where the four boys got their own booth and Steph and I got our own booth.  It worked out wonderfully as long as I kept the carrot sticks and ranch coming!
