Wer kennt das nicht: man hat eine superenge schöne Hose oder ein perfekt sitzendes Kleid an und alles sieht perfekt aus.. ausser eben man sieht genau hin bzw. dreht sich um. Schon zeichnen sich Strings, Slips, Panties und co am Po ab, bzw. der Bügel-BH an der Brust. Das ist oft nicht nur unschön, sondern einfach auch peinlich. Da hätte jede (oder auch jeder?) gerne “unsichtbare” Unterwäsche.

Manche Frau (oder eben mancher Mann) greift deshalb gar nicht erst in die Unterwäsche-Kiste, sondern trägt einfach nichts drunter. Ich war noch nie ein Fan davon, ich find das irgendwie unangenehm und auch unhygienisch.

Die Mode-Industrie hat da natürlich alle möglichen Ideen kommerzialisiert wie man diesem Problemchen Herr werden kann. Es gibt “seamless” Unterwäsche, die aber leider nie wirklich “seamless” ist.

Dann gibt es solche Sachen wie T-Shirt BHs, die immer recht schlicht aussehen, oft hautfarben sind, eben damit sich keine Spitze, keine Blümchen, keine Schleifchen und keine Farbe unter dem T-shirt abzeichnen.

Was sehr kurioses hat die englische Firma “Magic BodyFashion“, die sich speziell auf unsichtbare Unterwäsche in allen Varianten spezialisiert hat (z.B. rückenfreier BH, V-Ausschnit-BH etc.), herausgebracht. Den sog. invisible String oder auch “C-String”. Dieses Dingchen besteht aus Papier (!) und zwei Klebestreifen und hat eine Wurstform bzw. sieht aus wie ein C, ja klingt seltsam, ist es auch:

Ich frage mich wirklich, ob das halbwegs tragbar ist. Immerhin kann man einen richtigen String nicht verlieren, dieses Exemplar kann aber einfach so “runterfallen”, gar nicht auszudenken, wie endlos peinlich das ist.
Ausserdem soll das aus Papier sein….?! Also gut aussehen tut es wirklich nicht und am praktischen Nutzen zweifele ich auch scharf.
Eine gute, praktische und tragbare “unsichtbare” Unterwäsche muss erst noch erfunden werden :-/

Jag har blivit bjuden på julfest; en sådan där riktig julfest där man är finklädd och äter julbordet i två omgångar. Där börjar man med sill och det andra som jag egentligen inte tycker om, för att sedan gå vidare till skinkan och köttbullarna. Sen dricker man vin till, inte julmust. Samtidigt pratar man om saker som är så fullt kulturella och häftiga att jag annars inte skulle hänga med. Okej, nu vet jag inte riktigt hur det kommer att bli, men det blir en rad nya människor som jag inte känner fast jag träffat ett antal gånger. Det största problemet jag har för tillfället är klädseln; fluga eller slips? Kavaj eller accessoar? Vad väljer man när man ska träffa riktigt fina människor? Människor från ett mycket vackert företag? Ett företag som jag förhoppningsvis inom en mycket snar framtid arbetar på?

Jag har den senaste tiden fastnat för kombinationer av färgerna brunt, marinblått, vitt samt inslag av orange. Något som troligtvis kommer att hålla i sig ännu ett tag framöver.

Nu ska jag bara lista ut hur de ska stickas för att bli bättre. Mer stadga men ändå elegant.

I just got back from a few days in central Florida…DeLand, Deltona, Orange City, DeBerry area.  We stopped by the St. Johns Marina in DeLand on the St. Johns River to meet and visit with friends of my husband’s brother and his wife who live in Orange City.  If you ever drop by the St. Johns Marina, don’t forget to visit the Shady Oaks Bait and Tackle shop there and Let Chris or Jeff know that we sent you.  They also rent pontoon boats, have live bait, provide dockside service and have marine batteries.  Well, these young men are great!  They let us take a pontoon boat out on the river.  It was a marvelous experience!  The only time I have been to Florida was once to see Disney World and visit Sea World.  It was straight down and straight back and I never got to see the sights.

My idea of what Florida was all about turned out to be just that…my idea, not reality.  It was a very nice place.  These towns are about 20 minutes from the ocean.  They are near Orlando, South of Jacksonville.  Oh, and the St. Johns River…not like any river I’ve seen.  They are nothing like the rivers of the west.  They meander through swamps where thousands of birds live along with the manatee, gators, and turtles.  It is green and lush, and dotted with flowers everywhere.  Moss hangs from the trees.  It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Of the four days we were there, only one was cold and rainy.  The rest of the time it was warm and mostly sunny and wonderful for a mid-November day.  Chris and Jeff are looking for a boat for us to buy and remodel so that we can store it in a slip when we are not there, and enjoy boating in this tropical paradise when we vacation.  Slip storage is very inexpensive.  Of course when we are living on the boat, the expense goes up but for a vacation place, it is very reasonable.

I have volunteered to paint a mural on the wall in Chris’s bait and tackle shop.  So, the next time we head to Florida, I will be taking along my smock, paints, brushes, and vision and spend time painting.  I can hardly wait!  Jim is going to make me a portable easel to keep on the boat.

The point I want to make here is that if I had not accepted my sister-in-laws invitation to visit, (originally we were going down to see the launch of the space shuttle that was canceled due to weather), I would never have gotten this new vision of Florida.  My husband is Ex Navy and has been trying for years to convince me to live on a boat.  It was not part of my life experience and I just ignored his suggestion.  After my experience this week, I can actually see myself living, part-time, on a boat and traveling the water ways and perhaps even up the inter-coastal waterways.  This is paradigm shift for me.  So, before you cross things off your list of possibilities, check them out.  You may be pleasantly surprised.

There was some permanent damage to his shoulder where he would experience pain when extending his arm.  The expert confirmed this injury was unlikely to improve and was therefore permanent.

Ny dag att ta itu med, Fars dag. Grattis alla pappor. Jag kommer ihåg en del av alla farsdagskort som jag tillverkat under årens lopp. Det var liksom obligatoriskt att man skulle rita ett kort till pappa och så gärna köpa rakvatten, slips var aldrig aktuellt för vår pappa, men strumpor blev det nog ibland också. Jag minns att vi brukade gå fram till “Kemi” och köpa “Vita hästen”. Undrar just hur det luktade, tror mera att jag köpte det för att det var en fin häst på förpackningen, jag har ju alltid gillat hästar. Kommer inte alls ihåg att jag någonsin bad att få provlukta och minns inte att pappa luktade något speciellt rakvatten heller. Kanske var det förskräckligt, det finns ju en del parfymer och sånt som stinker nåt hemskt. Men tanken var god i alla fall.

Nu är pappa borta sen många år, även svärfar har somnat in, det minskar på farsorna. Men det kommer ju även nya och tur är det. Livet rullar vidare vare sig vi vill det eller ej. Bara att hänga på. Det är svårt att hinna med ibland, känns som om den verkliga tiden snurrar mycket fortare än “min” tid gör. Fast jag vet ju att det är en illusion. Tiden är konsekvent rättvis mot alla, tickar på obönhörligt och fullständigt omöjlig att muta. Inte kan man spara lite och ha till sen heller. Men man kan ta små pauser i tillvaron och stanna upp lite i all stress och jäkt. Tända ett ljus och njuta lite, kanske drömma en liten stund så man kommer i takt med tiden. En sån stund ska jag ta mig nu. God frukost, tystnad, ett tänt ljus och låta tankarna fara lite. Ett bra sätt att inleda dagen.

Of course we finally did experiment, and when unexpected results followed, we felt different; in fact we knew different; and so we were sold on meditation and prayer.  And that, we have found, can happen to anybody who tries.  It has been well said that “almost the only scoffers at prayer are those who never tried it enough.”

I like the statement that of course we finally did experiment.  That holds true for me for all of the program of AA.  As I bashed my head against the active alcoholic wall, I finally experimented with prayer and meetings and steps and the rest of it.

I remember trying prayer years ago, when I was trying to get sober, only in desperation.  Two years ago (or so), I started collecting some new prayers and trying to memorize them.  I have given up trying to memorize but I do rotate them in the sidebar here so that I write them again and again.  I have a 5 subject notebook I use at work, and one of the subjects is these prayers that I write there at different times during the day, and especially when things are tough.

A friend asked a group of us what is the purpose of prayer?  I do not use it as a means of influencing God but rather as a way to put new and better thoughts in my own head.

I’ve been having a rough time of it (it being unmentionable) for the last little while.  Tonight someone admonished me for my actions in the program and in my marriage.  This person is a chronic relapser of the kind I used to be.  This person has had a failed marriage of the kind I was in that failed.  This person is unemployed, but did not yet offer me career advice.  Still the thought just won’t go away that says something like, “Please excuse me and understand if I do not take program or marriage advice from you.”

I didn’t say that, and I know I won’t ever say that, but the interaction was disturbing and I’m pretty sure I’ll never forget it nor will I entirely cease to be disturbed by it.  It’s not often that someone besides my mother cuts me like that.  Actually it’s not often that anyone cuts me like that.   Lord release me from my thoughts of WTF??

Toward this person I know what the right thoughts are and WTF doesn’t apply.

Et slips lavet af strimlerne fra kassettebånd! Til businessmanden med den indrenørd. Eller nørden med den indre businessman. Det lyder weird, men de er faktisk ret pæne. Og så kan man endda afspille dem hvis man lige har et tonehoved i nærheden. Slipsene findes i de tre klassiske båndspagettifarver. Brun, sort og grå. Farven er i omegnen af 450 kr.

Nå ligger det en Mad`n Dee seksjon i menyen, så der er det bare å sulle innom når du føler for det. Ellers har jeg redigert sånn ca ferdig enda ett bilde av meg selv, og jeg holder på med ett av Madeleine som kommer så fort det er ferdig.

REFLECTION FOR TODAY

Yesterday I had a “slip.”  I let my feelings run amok.  Feelings I had not felt for a long time surfaced.  It frightened me to realize these feelings are still with me and that I have not been “cured.”  I must remember it is human to have lapses and to concern myself with doing well today and not worrying about yesterday.  Feeling guilty does not make me noble or solve any of my problems.  Guilt only drags me down.

May I forgive myself, as I know You have forgiven me.

Human feelings are okay for me to have because I am human, thank God.
