MnDOT planned to close eastbound I-94 between I-35W and Highway 280 as part of the I-94 Improvement Project. The department said construction will be rescheduled for a later date this spring.

The I-94 Improvement Project looks to improve safety and congestion in Minneapolis and St. Paul by the means of Smart Lane technology, MnDOT said. The project plan includes a resurfacing, drainage improvements, bridge maintenance, shoulder maintenance and lane realignment.

Last week we moved over to Terminal 3 to commence the installation of the remaining Smart Gate door packages, with a total of 2-sets to complete there (x8 individual systems).

All the first T3 packages have gone to plan with positive feedback from the engineers on site. There was no real input needed from myself at this stage as all the contractors / engineers are well organised on site now.

We hold off from the final set this week to allow our client to instruct some important testing of other Smart Lane components first, but we will be back on site next week to finish off the installations.
