As usual, cabin fever hits me pretty hard this time of year, and what’s worse, so does insomnia. What’s a guy to do with all those waking hours? You can only surf the interwebs for pron and gank MMORPG newbs for so long. Therefore, I’ve been finding little “projects” that I’m able to do within the comfort of Fort Awesome. And thus these tactical key fobs and zipper pulls were born.

Now, they may appear to be knitted, but you would be oh-so-wrong. These babies were made with military grade 550 paracord using mad-nautical-knot-weaving-skilz . That round one? It’s got a 3/4″ steel ball as a core. Grannies toaster cozy ain’t got nuthin’ on that…

This one is one of may favorites. The main body barely measures an inch long, but I managed to cram over FOUR FEET of paracord into it. I’m going to see what I end up with using 50 feet of paracord. I’d need a minimum of 120 feet of paracord if I wanted to make myself a belt.

See, it starts with toothpicks and keyfobs….who knows what I’ll come up with next week…

Wally Wallington may have figured out how to do what “reputable scholars” like Erich von Däniken describe as “impossible” for our ancient forbears without the help of “alien technology”. This earthling technology is not advanced or even really all that brilliant, it’s just completely overlooked. To find it, and use it, though, that is the genius.
