This is a tribute to my favourite youtuber, the one and only(or two) Smosh. You have probably heard of the name, since they are currently the number 3rd most suscribed comedians on youtube. Nigahiga ranks at the very top, while Fred stands at number 2. I have no idea how Fred can get 1 million plus suscribers when his videos are all practically rubbish, and did I mention not funny at all?

Anyways back to Smosh, they have always been my favourite comedians on youtube, and are recipients of 2006 Youtube’s Best Comedy Award. Smosh consists two best friends Ian and Anthony, where they put up videos of themselves in random silly plots. Well, they used to be funny, back when they didn’t have to worry about maintaining view counts, or hitting a certain amount of new suscribers everyday. Their sense of humour reminds me of Andy Milonakis, of which I enjoy alot. 

Like other popular acts on youtube, Smosh has cashed in on its popularity by setting up a website to sell their own  merchandises. http://www.smosh.com. Being the third most suscribed channel has its benefits. From the revenue-sharing system youtube adopts where the uploader gets a cut of the profit made from the video,  to the sales generated from selling merchandises. They even had a deal to produce two music videos for the band “I Set My Friends on Fire”. Youtube has certainly turned them into celebrities.

What is this I see? Sad to say, I miss their old videos back before they sold out. I guess this is the way howthings always end up. When you get popular, you tend to esell out to please the masses, and create sub-par quality videos void of any passion.

Till this day, I remain as a hopeful suscriber, praying that one day, Smosh can produce funny videos like they used to, where it is not about money-making or to please anyone.

I was able to finally log into the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) 2009 site and enter their contest!

I uploaded The Calamity Girl – The Promotion, rough draft of my manuscript which is 52, 248 words.

The goal was to write a novel in 30 days.

I managed to write mine in about 15 days and have it typed and ready to go.

I couldn’t log in for a few days, so I worked on my Synopsis and posted that on the site with an excerpt from the book for readers to view.

I’m not sure how everything works in this contest, but hopefully I’ll win and get a certificate saying that I participated in it!

I did NaNoWriMo in 2008 and wrote The Mansion on the Hill (which has now been divided into 15 book ideas for The Munroe Series and is posted in my Squidoo Lenses.)

I didn’t upload the manuscript and I completely forgot about registering for the contest last year.

It’s all because of a book I read from Chris Baty called No Plot! No Problem! that I started writing my very first novel.

He is the backbone of my inspiration I guess, and after reading JK Rowling’s Harry Potter books, I wanted to use my imagination in a constructive way and start a whole new career for myself.

So I’ve been working hard for over a year now, developing various websites on Squidoo, to coming to Word Press in the spring of 2009 to start a thing called Blogging.

Honestly I’ve never heard of the term “Blogging” before in my life.

I was looking up books on publishing novels and noticed the term and started to investigate it.

I can now say I am addicted to “Blogging” on a daily basis.

It’s become a part of my life.

On The Idea Girl Says, I share what it’s like to write a novel and give tips on writing.

I also have another site called Witty Woman on Today, where I post funny videos about stuff.

Today was Smosh’s new Pizza Zombie’s video.

Afros are cool, right? Keyboards are cool, right? Screaming is cool, right? And most of all sex education is cool, right? If you agree with one or all of the above then you should most definitely investigate an American duo called I Set My Friends On Fire. But please, don’t put their band name to practice, or you’ll end up having no friends to set aflame.

Debut-album ‘You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter’ saw a blended flurry of electronica, post-hardcore, humour, and intensity whipped to exceptional standards – and just by two people! In a scene where an endless stream of bands take themselves a little bit too seriously, ISMFOF are a nice breath of fresh air.

Song titles like ‘Brief Interviews With Hideous Men’ and ‘Reese’s Pieces, I Don’t Know Who John Cleese Is?’ are a tad long and obscure, but within this strangely titled packages you find a gift of insane and exciting musical endeavours. There are definitely more complicated and strangely composed projects, but unlike most of these cases this duo create music that, though may be a struggle to digest, rewards those who have the patience to do so.

Not taking themselves too seriously is a plus too, and this isn’t showcased any better than the songs they created together with YouTube celebrity duo Smosh. ‘Four Years Foreplay’ and the more popular ‘Sex Ed Rocks’ helped them get more spotlight, and this shows just why:

It’s a catchy tune with hip hop and rap music.

A real urban type of tune that I could see playing on the streets of New York City and around the world.

I think it would be fun for Smosh to take this video and have Mr. Box dancing to this song.

It’s an idea, and I’d have several people in a line all doing a synchronized dance.

Maybe DJ should contact Smosh and suggest it for their next video contest?

Don’t be deceived she only wants you to father her child! And he’s probably not even cute!

Thursday started with a let down of there NOT being Paired Reading because the lower sixth wanted to do it SO much that 70 people applied, and there aren’t 70 illiterate kids in the lower school…. instead, I had to talk to people… GAWD! I mean, I was hoping to be struggling through a book with a small child and resisting the urge to smash their face into a table…

The free period I had was pretty suck arse… we played cards in the common room and I completely destroyed a game of Go Fish. Then JJ came in because some arses were being too loud so he then saw our secret gambling circuit and told us to stop…

Bio was next, and boring as EVER! Break… well yeah, it was only break time, don’t expect like GIANT explosions of awesome to happen… only so much can happen in 20 odd minutes… or even15… I then had a double free, which I attempted to do some work. Then Melissa sat next to me and threw insults at me whilst I was trying to work. She can be such a bully… I moved away to work by myself and silently stab myself… on the inside…. that sort of metaphor thang…

Lunch, not much happened… I walked about a bit then talked to Chloé and people on the garden. Just as a side note, James Webster (I believe that be his name) can be a bit of a cunt… and lacks this thing called a sense of humour… ah well….

So DOUBLE Bio… so it was crap… for once the experiment worked… by that I mean shit didn’t spill everywhere and all over my hands, etc…

Then it was the end of the day. My aim was to stay up ALLLLLLl night to see how much it would mess my mind up for a school day… instead I was talking on MSN to someone at around about 2am or later… then I woke up at my desk to the sound of my phone.

Around about 8am my phone went off in my pocket… not only was it a fun Fanfare… it was from Chloé, shockingly, wishing me a happy European Day of Languages. We then had a short conversation then Simon was on the bus and I’d left the house.

Upon arrival, not much happened… I got a german sticker saying something in German, not of choice, not many left… Then it fell off, with force… “Accidentally” by my hand.

Physics with Fletch involved an experiment that involved some working out that I took 3 attempts at… making mistakes with all of them. Oddly, Ben relies on me as some kind of Physics back up… well that has to be the dumbest move of the year… Weights fell, I sort of jumped/quickly withdrew my limbs and feet as I was putting the last weight on…

Break…

Chemistry was FUN! However Naomi FINALLY got something and then wouldn’t shut up as Mr Peters was trying to tell everyone stuff… plus she called a triangular based pyramid a Triangular based Prism… this was for the little model of Methane…. She OBVIOUSLY has no idea what a prism is…. because that was anything but it… ah well, I’ll have to keep that to myself because she seemed pretty set on the idea of it being a prism…

Lunch, I ate lunch with Simon, Max and… uh L… Luh… Lu something… ah well, it isn’t important… Then I was on the garden for a bunch as Simon tackled Lu… uh… I keep forgetting his name… to the floor in a rather rough way… then spoke to people…

Maths was quite easy… then Period 6 I went on the Garden with Eliza and then talked to Eliza, Adam and Chloé for that time.

Then today I basically did not much… other than FINALLY catch up to where I had gotten to on FF12 before I’d managed to corrupt my data…

Also, at some point in those days Rosie did something….

I Set My Friends on Fire is easily one of my all-time favorite bands. They’re one of a VERY select group of artists (Tenacious D, Bloodhound Gang, Electric Six…yep, that’s about it) that have the ability to produce INCREDAMAZING music and humor at the same time. Their first and only album to date, You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter came out on October 7th, of ‘08.             I’ve waited for this day to come. I expected it to happen last week. But since the Teen Choice Awards, Fred’s been getting 5% of more subscribers that he’s been getting lately. But finally, Ryan Higa beat Fred in subscribers by 3,000 when I checked this morning. He’s got 5,000 subscribers in the last 12 hours. :O May this day redeem the names and belong to Asians! Lol jk. It’s not like I hate Fred. I’m subscribed to him and Ryan Higa. It’s Smosh who I hate.

            ShaneDawsonTV is a fast growing channel which is obviously gonna have a million subscribers by the end of the year. So maybe he’s gonna YouTube’s most popular and subscribed channel before Christmas. So it’s kinda hard to tell which is which. I am also working on a new video that is coming out on a few days. Oh yeah, he has an empty brain!

That’s why it echoes when Genie thinks to himself.

That must suck only 3 wishes, one for you, one for me, and one for both of us!

Problem is, what if we don’t agree on the third one?

The boys teach us what it means to upload a video to Youtube.

I had a hard time when I first tried loading up some videos from my cell phone, but once I learned how to email it to myself, download it from hotmail to my computer then upload it back to youtube, it was a breeze!  lol

Yeah right, why do they have to make it so difficult?

Is there a way to email it directly to you tube?

How about a Youtube email account that goes into my inbox on here?

Wouldn’t that make life easier for all of us?

It took me an hour to do it the other way!

I’m not computer challenged, I can just imagine how frustrating it is for someone new to a computer, a newbie.

They must pull their hair out, curse and swear and almost throw the computer out the window! Can you relate?

I don’t think I could eat any of my friends no matter how hungry I was.

I couldn’t eat bugs, beetles or plants either.

I think I would just starve instead and pray for food from heaven.
