On this third day of Advent as we journey together on our Pilgrimage to Bethlehem, Elizabeth the relative of Mary joins us. We read in the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke about Elizabeth whose name means “my God is an oath.”

Elizabeth and Mary’s kinship. According to Catholic tradition,  Elizabeth’s mother was Sobe.  Anne, the mother of the virgin Mary and Sobe were sisters which would make Elizabeth and Mary cousins. Islamic tradition teaches that Elizabeth was the aunt of Mary. It seems that “aunt” would make more sense than “cousin” as Elizabeth was in mid-life when  the angel Gabriel came to Elizabeth’s priest husband Zacharias when it was his turn to serve in the Temple in Jerusalem. This angelic messenger brought the good news that their prayers for a child have been answered. Barren Elizabeth would be pregnant with the one who would prepare the way for the Messiah, the Christ and his name was to be John.

Elizabeth becomes pregnant.Luke describes Elizabeth who was of the high priestly line of Aaron as a righteous woman who walked blamelessly in the sight of God and obeyed all the commandments. She had prayed her entire married life for a child, but had remained barren. What joy it must have been for Elizabeth to realize that in her mid-life that she was pregnant with the one who would be like the great prophet Elijah. According to Jewish tradition that is recited each year in the Passover Haggadah, Elijah is the one who will greet and announce the long-awaited Messiah.

Kinswoman Mary enters Elizabeth’s home. When Elizabeth was six months pregnant, her niece or cousin Mary became pregnant with Jesus. Young, unmarried Mary who was engaged to Joseph hastily left her home, probably in need of  protection at Elizabeth and Zacharias’ home in the hill country of Judah. When Mary entered their home, twenty-four week John the Baptist leapt for joy in Elizabeth’s womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and began declaring in a loud prophetic voice about Mary, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me?”

Thoughts about Elizabeth. Did Elizabeth live long enough to know the anguish and incredible grief that her only child, this prophet John would be beheaded? Did she know that her son forsook the clothes she lovingly made for him and instead wore very rough camel’s hair clothing, ate only locusts and honey, never cut his hair because he was a Nazarene, and that he shouted at people calling them to repent and to be washed of their sins? Did Mary and Elizabeth have a lifelong bond from being pregnant at the same time, both having had angelic visits from Gabriel proclaiming the good news of their miraculous pregnancies, and both carrying the long awaited “Elijah” and Messiah? Since Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months probably until the end of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, did Mary help mid-wife the forerunner of her son’s ministry?

On our Pilgrimage to Bethlehem, righteous and godly Elizabeth reminds us to continue praying and never give up. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16 Today’s New International Version).

Advent Prayer (begin with a moment of silence): Dear God, thank you for the promise of answered prayer. I want to trust that You hear my prayer and that You will answer. Help me today to pray and not fear, to pray and not fret, to pray and have faith. Amen.

Today was a really good day. After my post last night about my concerns over eating too much to keep up with my new running program, I did a lot of thinking and research.

Breakfast this morning was of course a green monster.

As much as I love these things (and getting 3 cups of spinach in at breakfast) I am kind of glad this challenge is over. I’ve missed my oats!

I think I will try to incorporate these green smoothies into my diet from time to time but I don’t see them as a long term breakfast choice for me, especially not as the weather gets colder.

I snacked on some nuts mid-morning and then for lunch, I had leftover lentils that I made on Tuesday with some steamed green beans.

One of the things I mentioned in my post about my running diet was that I thought eating a snack before and after my workout would help keep me from overdoing it when I got home in the evenings.

Well, I think it worked!

I had a slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter for a snack about 30 minutes before I went to work out.

We ran 2 miles and then came back and did some upper body weights and abs. It was great, especially in this beautiful weather we’ve been blessed with (high 50’s and sunshine)!

Then when I got back to work, I had a SoBe Lifewater and a Nature Valley bar.

It wasn’t the best snack but one of the only options I could find at work. I intend to plan my snacks better next week.

It also held me over quite well, as I did not get hungry until 7:30 when I started making dinner.

I had a random assortment of foods for dinner tonight: potatoes, carrots + hummus, and couscous. It was random but it was everything I felt like eating and used up more stuff at home instead of going out or buying something at the store.

I cooked the potatoes in the oven at 425 for 20 minutes.

And I tried a new hummus! So much better than the “original” flavor of this brand.

I did go grocery shopping tonight (Josh is at a Megadeth concert) and I got everything we needed for $54 and I get to try a few new things this week, so that is exciting!

I’m getting ready to watch the film “Food, Inc.” which I won in a giveaway on Kath Eats a while back.

I can’t wait to report back my thoughts, I’m sure there will be a few.

I also enjoyed a glass of wine and a slice of cinnamon toast with peanut butter and chocolate chips for dessert

SoBe – Thrillicious – NAY

I know Superbowl commercials often break the normal practices of advertising, but what is this commercial? I remember watching it come on during the game in 2008 and looking around the room at confused faces expressing something along the lines of, “Okay…Thriller is always a good song but…what?”

Furthermore:

• SoBe’s lizard mascot isn’t recognizable enough to be the main feature of a Superbowl ad. A lot of reactions to this commercial were confusions about why lizards were dancing.
• Why do the lizards dance to a song that has dead people (in the real music video) when they’ve just consumed “life water?” That message is unclear.
• The punch line at the end: thrillicious. Is that the best they could do? This is the type of pun that comes up the first time you brainstorm a creative idea. And by “you” I really mean everyone. Avoid choosing an idea that everyone is likely to think of. That is an indication that it isn’t creative enough.

The commercial relies too much on “Thriller” to engage people. Again, I know it’s the Superbowl and emphasis is usually either on humor or celebrity cameos, but there’s no real message in this spot to give a reason to anything that happens.

Sony – Bravia – YAY

This is a fantastic commercial with a simple message, a great soundtrack, and stunning visuals. Obviously the decision to film it in San Francisco was perfect for the release of 170,000 bouncy balls.

The use of slow motion captures the elegance and detail of the colors, which echoes the main message at the end. It was also a smart idea to advertise one aspect of televisions- color.

The strategy behind the Bravia campaign was to make consumers walk into the store with Sony in mind. They did this by associating high quality of color with Sony. That way, consumers couldn’t be lead astray to other brands by floor salesmen. By Sony showing consumers Bravia’s “unique selling point,” consumers also knew why they had Sony in their minds.

In the making of the commercial, the creators say this spot is “much more about connecting with people emotionally.” This is the goal of any advertiser, as consumers base decisions off of their emotions. It is important to understand, though, that appealing to emotions doesn’t necessarily mean that commercials like this make people think, “Wow, I feel happy/confident/motivated by this commercial.” The simple “wow” itself says it all, as that is an indicator that something hit them.

In other words, it’s unnecessary for people to be able to articulate the emotions they are feeling.  A “wow” can mean a number of things such as “Wow this spot really:

• was awesome.
• made me like the brand because of its awesome advertising.
• made me think.
• will stick in my memory.

Always aim for a “wow” moment because it often encompasses multiple emotions at once, and usually generates multiple thinking and or talking points for those who are “wowed.”

Wir haben wieder super geschlafen. Nachdem wir unsere 7 (oder besser 707) Sachen in die 3 grosse Taschen und den Riesenkoffer so verstaut hatten, dass wir im letzten Hotel, welches ja direkt in SoBe liegt, nur noch mit einem Koffer rumlaufen mussten, wurden diese erst einmal gewogen. Die drei Taschen hatten jeweils über 20 kg, der Koffer lag bei 25 kg. Also musste doch später nochmal etwas optimiert werden. Nach dem Wiegen ging es zum Frühstück, wo es sehr ruhig her ging, da nur 2 weitere Pärchen im Frühstückssaal aßen. Hier gab es neben warmen Eiern, frische Pancakes und frisches Obst.

Gegen 11 Uhr machten wir uns auf den Weg Richtung Süden. Da uns unsere Elli ja den Timiami Trail am Anfang unserer Reise vermweigert hatte, wollte ich diesmal doch iins Miccosukee Village fahren und dort mit dem Airboot raiden. Der Weg ging uber den Turnpinke bis wir dann irgendwann a Timiami Trail abbiegen mussten.

Es waren wieder 32 Grad und Tauwetter für Dicke. Beim Aussteigen aus dem Auto hat mich fast wieder der Schlag getroffen. SO eine Hitze und auch Feuchtigkeit kannte ich bisher nur aus dem August, aber nicht für Anfang November. Hallo!?

Wir zahlten an der Ablegestation bei einer netten Indianerin und nach 10 Minuten ging es mit Ramos, mitdiesem Namen wahrscheinlich nicht so der echte Indianer, los. Neben uns saß ein junges deutsches Pärchen. Anzumerken wäre hierbei noch, dass wir kaum Deutsche bei der Rundreise gesehen bzw. gehört haben.

Mit dem Airboat ging es unter ohrembetäubendem Lärm 10 Minuten in den nördlichen Teil der Everglades zu einem Indianerdorf auf einer kleinen Insel.

Dort hatten wir 10 Minuten Aufenthalt und sahen mehrere dicke Alligatoren. Man konnte auf Holzstegen um das Inselchen rumlaufen oder bei den Indianerinnen etwas kaufen.

Die Rückfahrt dauerte 20 Minuten und die Tiere, denen wir begegneten interessierten sich überhaupt nicht für den Krach oder die Störung durch uns.

Zurück im Auto brauchten wir ja nur den Timiami Trail Richtung Miami zu fahren, denn es ist ja die 8. Strasse, die direkt in die City führte. Nach mehreren Staus in der City erreichten wir unser Hotel, wo die Parkplatzsuche begann.

Zwei mal um den Block und wir konnten unser Auto an der Parkuhr vier Stunden parken (zu je 1,25$ / Stunde). Ein Parkhaus fanden wir auch direkt in der 7. (15$ für 12-15 Stunden).

Wir hoppelten mit unserem Koffer durch die Collins, die 7. bis wir am Ocean Drive 660 beim Majestic ankamen. Es war schon komisch, durch ein Restaurant zur Lobby zu gelangen, aber dass man unverschämt belästigt wurde von den Kellern kann ich nicht beatätigen. Ist wahrscheinlich nur wieder von dem einen oder anderem bescheurten Touri so empfunden und als Hotelbewertung geschrieben worden. Wir sind 2 mal höflich gefragt worden und wir haben 2 mal höflich abgelehnt.

Beim Check-in musste ich 10 Dollar Resort-Fee bezahlen, was mir ein Schmunzeln bereitete, denn das Resort bezog sich auf die Handtücher und den Klappstuhl, den man sich mit an den Strand nehmen konnte. Der Aufzug war antik, und so benahm er sich auch, ruckelig und laut. So einen Zimmerflur kannte ich nur aus Schwarz-Weiss Humphrey Bogart Filmen und wir hatten Angst, wie unser Zimmer aussehen würde.

Schlüssel rein, Licht an und  Überraschung. Ein kleines schönes helles sauberes Zimmer mit 2 Fenstern über Eck, einem Doppelbett. LCD-TV und Minibar. Und total sauber. Was will das Herz mehr?

Nachdem wir uns estwas ausgeruht hatten fuhren wir mit unserem Auto auf Futtersuche. Bei einem ‘5 guys’ hielten wir an, denn ich wollte dort unbedingt den Burger probieren, der sehr gut sein soll. Es ging dort lustig zu und unseren Burger und Hotdog verputzten wir draussen bei eingeschalteten Deckenventilatoren mit Befeuchter.

Wir brachten das Auto in die Garage und machten einen Walk von der 2. bis zur Lincoln. Es war sehr schön, die illuminierten Hotels anzuschauen. Bisher hatten wir diesen Rundgang nachts noch nicht gemacht.

Geschafft erreichten wir gegen 12 Uhr das Hotel und nach einer schönen kalten Dusche schlief ich wunderbar ein.

PRVI DAN

Da mi je ko pričao da će biti ovako kako je bilo, ne bih mu vjerovala.

Naivna i sportski natrojena, izdržala sam i ovo mučenje od takmičenja (ribolovna majstorica), mržnjenje, vjetar, stalnu prijetnju od padanja kiše ili snijega, materijalni trošak jer klub nema para, definitivno!

Tabko je došao u zakazano vrijeme (6 h izjutra) i krenuli smo. Gdje god je mogao pržio je po gasu. Negdje čak i preko 120km/h što je puno s obzirom na naše stanje na putevima!

07:45 h

Ovo je već nadomak Bosanskog Broda. Prije nismo uspjeli ni slikati nešto posebno jer je bio mrkli mrak.

Čuvena (Dodikova) rafinerija, vidi se u daljini!

Iako vidno umoran od neprospavane sajberske noći, Tabko se nije baš žalio.

U 07:50 h, znači za manje od dva sata, stigli smo na odredište.

Tabko, svaka čast!

Brod je u jutarnjim satima djelovao sablasno pusto! Osim ljudi na biciklima koji su žurili na posao jedino se osjećala živost na graničnom prijelazu prema R. Hrvatskoj!

Bez puno zapitkivanja lokalnih mještana (svi nekud žure) lako smo pronašli tablu sa natpisom “LOVAČKI ROG”.

Staza je odmah tu pored ovog ugostiteljskog objekta za koji sam se iskreno nadala da će nas domaćini ugostiti u njemu! Na sramotu im!

Vraga! Na kraju drugog dana spremili su nam “svadbarsku” šatru umjesto da se zgrijemo u toplom objektu.

Sam dolazak na Savu, nije obećavao mnogo. Dokle god je pogled sezao, nigdje nikoga.

Kontam poranili smo.

Mah… Vraga poranili. Stigli smo koji sat prije zvanične prijave ali od ostalih takmičara, nikoga na vidiku. Čak ni od organizatora!

Hmm… Sumnjiva dobrodošlica!

Kasnije su tek dodata obilježja sportskog saveza te Federacijska i zastava RS-a!

I to ovako. Žalosno za vidjeti!

A tek onda ovako…

Zbrka oko vremena potrebnog za prijavu takmičara (promjena termina), nepotrebno nerviranje i mrženjenje uz to, neregulisana staza i sektori, pomaganje drugim takmičarkama koje istini za volju ne znaju ni udice da svežu kako treba, glavne su odlike ove maškarade od toliko dugo očekivane “MAJSTORICE”.

Nije nevjerovatno! U nas uvijek prolaze mamine i tatine maze, sponzor-tipovi osoba. Ništa me ne čudi. Više se sama sebi čudim što sam uopšte i došla na ovako nešto jer svakako nisam imala plasman za prolazak dalje (odlazak na svjetsko). Otišla sam samo da bih zadovoljila formu korektnog člana sportsko-ribolovnog saveza BiH. Ništa drugo me ne bi moglo pokrenuti na ovakvo takmičarsko mučenje i “stostruko tumačenje” saveznih ribolovnih  pravila! 

Bolje bi bilo  da sam se  grijala uz radijatore u svom stanu vikendom. Ionako ne idem dalje na svjetsko. Čak i da sam bodovno prošla, ne bih išla dalje.

Sportsko-ribolovni savez je preslab da nam obezbijedi kakve-takve normalne uslove za boravak i takmičenje van BiH.

Uvjerila sam se u to prilikom odlaska u Livorno-Italija ili na Jarunu u Hrvatskoj! 

Makar bih bila odmornija za narednu radnu sedmicu! Hmm…

Ovo je definitivno Majino vrijeme! Jedina naša respektabilna takmičarka iz Federacije BiH!

Naprijed Majo!

Nemoj nas obrukati na sljedećem Svjetskom!

Takmičarke iz RS ne vrijedi ni spominjati!

Sva sreća da smo imali rezervirano spavanje kod gazda Jove koji “opasno operiše” s nekoliko kuća za izdavanje! Bilo sobe, bilo cijele kuće!

Sve je bilo u redu osim grijanja!

Eheee… Sva sreća, domaćin je obezbijedio dovoljnu količinu pokrivača (deka-ćebadi i nekakve ogromne, čiste jorgane)!

Skidam mu kapu! Makar sam se naspavala kako treba i koliko-toliko odmorila za naredni takmičarski dan.

Dok smo mi, ženski spol ( ) prčkale nešto oko večere, Miro i Tabko su se grijali uz vruću kafu i ljutu rakijicu i rezimirali utiske sa takmičarske staze! Pardon! Miro ne pije alkohol!

Tabko-u je očito bilo dosadno! I da je htio, nije to mogao sakriti!

DRUGI DAN

Pehari, zahvalnice za takmičare i takmičarke!

Tabko je pratio proglašenje pobjednika  iz automobila. Nepojmljiva zima za ovo doba godine…

Na kraju, dobar ručak ali pod šatrom! Tabko nije htio ni da izađe iz automobila!

Shvatila sam njegove razloge. Požurila sam da ručam, pozdravim se s rajom i da “zapalim” za Tuzlu što prije!

Ciganluk!

Čak su nam i cigani-svirači odnekud došli. Organizator im nije dozvolio sviranje za vrijeme ručka! Ne znam zašto! Imam osjećaj da oni nisu bili dio sveukupne ceremonije tj. maškarade od ovog takmičenja! Ili su brukali organizatore! A da dobro sviraju, sviraju vala!

Dosta od mene za sad. Dosta o Brodu, skoro mrtvom gradu! Nigdje mladalačke živosti, nigdje buregdžinica ni ćevapa kao u mojoj Tuzli!

Čak i u lokalnom TUŠ-ovom prodajnom objektu nije bilo neke posebne potrošačke groznice! Osjećaj kao da sam u ukletom gradu nije me napustio sve dok nisam prešla  onu nevidljivu ali osjetno različitu (duhom i srcem) granicu između RS-a i Federacije BiH!

Eto me tebi, sprečanska dolino, zavičaju moj!

Kendim ile  ilgili 7 ilginç şey yazmaya geldi sıra;

1. Acayip bir enerjim var, ne düşünsem yaşıyorum(bazen kötü oluyor). Mesela yolda yürürken kimi düşünsem karşılaşıyorum. Aklıma gelen başıma geliyor genellikle….

2. Bazen kendimi tanıyamıyorum, ama yine de kendimin en iyi arkadaşıyım diyebilirim. Değişkenim, bu iyi mi kötü mü kestiremedim henüz ama adaptasyon problemi yaşamıyorum hiçbir konuda…

3. Hayata verdiğim onca kayıba rağmen güçlenmesini bildim.. hani kendimi tanıyamıyorum bazen dedim ya, ben yıkılırım sandığım anları çok geride bıraktım.

4.”Aşk” a inananlardanım, bunun neresi ilginç diye düşünebilirsiniz ama onca yıpratılmış duygu ve kavram kargaşası içinde gerçek aşka yer var benim hayatımda…

5. Biraz maymun iştahlıyım ve acayip sabırsız biri olmaya başladım son günlerde…

6.Artık eskisi kadar ilginç ve bilim kurgu tadında rüya görmemeye başladım. Önceden gördüklerimi anlattığımda eşim bunları yazsan kitap olur derdi. Sanırım ilham perim beni terk etti.

7.Ben hayatı “keşke”’siz yaşamaya çalışanlardanım.. yani birşey yapmadan  uzun uzun düşünmeye, isteklerime kulak vermeye çalışan biriyim.

Sanırım bu liste uzar gider… Burada kesmek ve bu işi sınırlamak iyi olmuş…

We had a great week at IBC, and a lively, mouse-ear-filled weekend at Disney’s D23 Expo, but the fun’s not over.   This week, September 16th-17th, we’ll be featured at the 3D Entertainment Summit, where you’ll be able to catch both Steve Schklair and Sandy Climan holding forth about the fast-moving 3D entertainment market.  We’ll have some of our spectacular footage up on the big screen, including the public debut of a charming piece by legendary director of photography Allen Daviau, and will also be toting the usual fancy 3D TV, where you’ll be able to watch some of our work like this and this.

Ok so I’ve been on a little vacation. Ok, it was definitely an extended vacation. Updates!!! Black Card Monday’s which I’ve posted under events is officially over if you didn’t already know. Not because of my people, but Guesthouse got shut down. Actually, shut down is an understatement. It was more like GRAND OPENING, GRAND CLOSING. Never play with the IRS. They owed these dudes money and now they’re completely gone. I haven’t really gone anywhere in the past 15 days, but I just wanted to enjoy two weeks of summer before it is all over. Sobe Friday’s were apparently poppin, but I didn’t get to attend. Even on vacation it’s work, work, work, for me. I moved…. to the next room in my house and I’ve been slowly putting this ish* together. I’ve finally gotten to connecting the desktop again and the laptop has been sold off for an upgrade coming real soon. Thanks to all those who’ve been keeping in touch with up to date media info. I often open with a pithy little introduction hoping to connect my random life with the remarkable people I have the pleasure of speaking with.   Today I am not feeling overwhelmingly pithy but rather more like a guy with an opportunity to introduce the blog o sphere to one of my favorite places I call “home”…Miami

But of course I would be nothing if I did not do it with the help of a Tour Guide extraordinaire  - The enigmatic Elaine Lancaster – according to “legend”, fate and a bit of irony brought her to us in a way as is usually spun from a good tale, novel and/or novella…  As “on the very day fashion icon Gianni Versace was murdered in front of his Ocean Drive mansion—July 15, 1997—James Davis awoke to his first morning on South Beach after relocating here from Dallas. There was a cruel irony in their shared twists of fate, because Davis—much better known today as drag diva Elaine Lancaster—had moved to South Beach because of Versace. I had been a fashion model in Milan for a while and I got to know the whole Versace family,” says the six-foot, two-inch, blond-haired, blue-eyed Davis.” “So, I moved to Miami to be close to the Versaces and all of that energy….”

But this is not about a life half lived by any means, as it is James Davis-as-Elaine Lancaster that manifests the same transformational and creative genius that Gianni Versace gave to us and left as his gift to South Beach. Moreover, it is witness to Davis’s tenacious will that he did not simply turn his back on his newly found home when his idol was viciously murdered on the steps of his beachfront mansion.

In a recent interview I had the pleasure and priveledge of being privy to some remarkable insights from what I consider to be an “old soul” with legs for days!!!

So when I asked… “Would you mind playing cosmic tour guide and goddess of the Universe for me…?  The answer was a resounding  – “YES”

Why Miami? What makes Miami tick? You have lived and worked everywhere why make Miami your home?

“I have been fortunate in so many ways in my life, and after living in various cities in the United States, as well as Europe, I found myself wanting to live in Florida. I visited Key West for 3 months and thought that might be a great little cove to call home but it was way too small and after a few months I knew I could never live there full time.

I moved to Miami Beach July 15, 1997 to be close to Gianni Versace as I became friends with him and his brother in law, Paul Beck in Milan where I was living prior. Ironically, that was the same day he was gunned downed and killed on the front steps of his home. So in almost an instant my aspirations had taken a new direction. I have always loved the spotlight and making people enjoy themselves, so I brought Elaine Lancaster to life and what a life it has been for me so far. No matter where in the world I go or who is in the room from Presidents to A List Celebrities, when Elaine walks in the room it becomes hers at least for a while. I feel it and it is a very powerful thing. I never created Elaine to be mean or nasty, but rather to uplift, inspire and hopefully educate people about people. It is so much easier to affect change through humor than from standing on a soap box preaching.”

Where are we in the world REALLY? You have a rare opportunity to see the “state of the union” as a performer as (excuse if this is not how you see yourself) a gay man, as a comedian, social satirist and in some ways from a female perspective as you have studied the female to perfect your art.

“Elaine Lancaster is a character that I create as a profession. I do not live the life nor would I ever want to. The life of Elaine is too demanding and she is wanted to be everything to everybody. I love the duplicity of being able to wash it all off and be me. I am extremely lucky to be a gay man who is completely at ease with my sexual orientation.  I know what makes a man a man. It has nothing to do with ones physicality. I also know what it is like to walk a mile in a woman’s shoes…. LITERALLY.  I know that this is a man’s world and always will be, but I also know what strong, amazing creatures women are. They are the givers of life and I am happy to see men in America becoming aware of their emotional side and allowing themselves to feel and respond to those feelings. Not just Gay men, but all men.   It gives me such hope for our culture.”

Tell us a secret – Something we don’t know about you but now we will.

“I do live an intriguing life that has been completely by my own design. It is not something one can buy, study to become, or even pray to have. One must be born with the energy and zest for loving life or else one would tire quickly or would never be successful. My JOB is flashy, superficial in appearance, self- So I can live a life that seems like complete and utter surface, but the man behind the woman is anything but.  absorbed, simplistic, oversimplified, flimsy, empty, trivial, surface, skin-deep, two-dimensional, frivolous, foolish, silly, BUT my life is not….

I pride myself on being college educated.  I have traveled to most of the worlds capitals and have a true love and desire to learn about people from around the world. I have raised 20 million dollars for various charities within the past 10 years and received Proclamations from Miami Beach and Dallas, Texas declaring Elaine Lancaster Days.

Elaine is an Actor, singer, style icon, DJ, Entertainer, Costume Designer, Booker, Agent, writer, Columnist for the Glossy, Miami Monthly Magazine and guest writer for the Miami Herald.

On a personal note, I am most happy with the family I have, and the few, but true friendships I have maintained over the years, since they are the ones who love me regardless of who I may be to the world. I am also a friend to the friendless and try to be there for those who have no one to lend them a hand. Although I have learned through the years one must take care of themselves first and foremost.”
