Will They Make the Right Decision for Financial Survival I want to introduce you to five guys Christ

Will They Make the Right Decision for Financial Survival

I want to introduce you to five guys Christian, John, Jess, Robert and Andrew.

This is a conversation they had recently on the merits of joining a

NEW system for Making Money from CellPhones for Cash.

Christian began the conversation:-

Well, I guess you guys are here to hear my report on the Cell Phone Program that I have paid for. I’m presently into week 5 and here is what is outlined for this week.

Video 1-Proven Concepts

Video 2-Organising your offers

Video 3- loading your offers

Video 4- Monitoring your offers

Video 5 Demonstration for proven concepts

Video 6 Demonstration for organising your offers

Video 7- Demonstration for monitoring your offers.

My first attempt to say the least sucked, made zero sales, I started with just $50.00.

However I have since used it with regards to CPA offers to people on iphones.As people are used to touch screens on iphones I found CPA offers work well

I started another test with only $50.00. I got over 63,000 impressions and click thru rate of 1.56% which I totalled 1000 clicks and I got 131 people to take advantage of the CPA I was offering.

I got paid $1.50 for each lead I made and $196.50 minus the $50.00 I put up I made a profits of $146.50.All of which took place in the span of 45 minutes. I have since done more and with the same results just on a bigger scale.

Mack, made his money by sending people to You Tube to watch a video’s of offers and such.

Bottom line like any other advertising method there is a learning curve even if you have instructions.

The only thing I am not thrilled with is the wait time between modules…What you think guys.

That’s great news Christian, said John.

Whats the details, What were you selling? What was the advertisment, what did it say?

If nothing else pal please tell us what did you deliver to them once they touched on the advertisment? Was it a URL website, what was on the page? Can you give us the URL or by Private Message? This is the most important information because I get all the rest, it is getting this part right.

You see fellas I have a video test running now but Admob are not giving me the impressions I need to see if it is working. It is an page to enter an email to view a video. Just watching the video I doubt will ever get much of a result because I tested.

Interesting chirped in Robert…

All good, but where are the examples, second how do you make an offer after a YouTube video has been shown on the iphone? You can not click and go to a page etc?

Christian continued.. It is a CPA business in a box from ROI Rocket. You have to be approved to get access to it. The ad was “Touch Make Money secrets” and the next page you can see if click on the link in ROI Rocket there. I think it worked cause the copy was good and simple opt-in – who knows?

I also brought the Cell Phone Cash system said Jess. And Im getting demolished.

When I joined I took and read the “sales” page 2 or 3 times just to make sure I knew what I was buying into.

After I signed up I logged into the members area and had the videos to watch. I was excited as this seemed to be very easy and straightforward.

I went to where Mack Michael tells you to sign up (it is free to sign up) to start posting your ads and then paid for my advertising. It is a minimum of $50.00 for advertising that you must pay for. My first add was shown to 71.000+times, and the clicks through rate was 1.5% but not one single purchase, which pisses me off.

The item I was promoting was a website that you join for $37.00 that let you download unlimited ring tones and games for your iPhone and other phones that could download these items.

I decided to put that ad on pause and then added a new ad promoting something else and put in the $50.00 and a few minutes later was told that the ad was rejected.

When I signed back in I did not see the $50.00 I added for the new ad and it was not listed on the other ad that was on pause. When I checked my bank account that second $50.00 had indeed been withdrawn, never returned.

I called the ad company twice and even used their online email support and never heard from then and never received my $50.00 back.

Guys it might be working for some of youse but my experience with this program left a bad taste in my mouth.

For gods sake Jess , said Christian….

You need to wait at least 4 weeks before investing any money…Rushing in and promoting the wrong things. You will need to complete the course.

You know if you have completed the course and watched the videos Jess you would have seen that advertising particular products like ‘weight loss was explained as a bad product to sell and why.

If you actually follow the advice you will make money!

I’ve completed the course for the most part..And if you treat it like adwords you will lose money!

I bet your still sending your mobile cell phone leads to landing pages. If so rewatch week 4 and make the changes.

And dudes, if you think the course is about using PPC techniques on Mobiles it is NOT!

IF your money is being sucked up in minutes you are bidding TOO HIGH!

My $50.00 campaigns run for days I just slot in when the big bidders are broke!

A million dollars does not appear after the first week and by the forth week you should be able to at least avoid the stupid mistakes most people seem to be making. You guys are going to have to focus on watching videos so far and the next releases.

The fifth member of the group finally spoke up with his evaluations of what the fellas need and the potential outcome of becoming a member Cell Phone Cash today offer can do for them:

The course sucks in its delivery. Said Andrew:- And as a whole it is very good, but you can and will be misled somewhat if you act before week 4. This course should be delivered in 1 Big Chunk if I was in a hurry to learn I would buy all module in the day and start promoting late that evening..Im a workaholic and like to get things done and ready.

Anyway my observations are that getting people to BUY is useless, getting people to ACT is the idea.

And secondly everyone who suggests using the system to build a lead base is spot on.

Alternatively make sure the program you are promoting has a strong follow-up system.

Thirdly fellas, if your sending people to web landing or squeeze pages; you missed a video or two.

My number four point is if your signed up for a 7 week uni course on Internet marketing, do you consider yourself qualified after 1 week or even 3 weeks.

Once you complete the course you get your degree or whatever. You don’t get your degree in week 1 or 2 and then they hope you show up for the other 6 weeks.

Oh yeah your probable wondering if I cheated, yeh, I made the pages iphone compatible by using wordpress and an iphone theme. Keep that to yourself guys as it working a treat.

And my final word on this great idea is theirs 4 billion Cell Phone users out there and we can get our percentages. And if your got your websites and are thinking of trying to get your clickbank offers in the mix …this could help.Here is a link to Smashing Magazine: -

Mack has shown us the way up the financial ladder and has a product with a huge potential. Combined this with our Know How we can FIREUP this market with NEW and interesting BUYERS.

Well, it seems that the Mike Arrington’s pointed critique of social marketing practices is getting even the very large players to move quickly.

Today, we’re adding a fifth principle that clarifies a specific use case that we feel is particularly damaging to the user experience: promotions that include hidden renewals without specific opt-in will not be permitted. Because it’s our belief opt-out offers are misleading and do not have the best interests of the users in mind, we will be updating our Terms of Use this week to better clarify this for users and developers.

There is a simple principle at work here. Visibility is key. There are many shady things quietly going on on the Net today. Once someone shines a big, bright light it becomes harder to hide. Everything starts with visibility.

When a registered user decides to tag something with some terms, the systems asks to compare shared

When a registered user decides to tag something with some terms, the systems asks to compare shared tags between the new source and recently added such by the same user or by his friends. By friendship the system understand users with similar tagging of one material or friends through social networking service like Facebook, or both.

Tags are not simply statements like “This ‘url’ material is ‘tag-term1′, ‘tag-term1′ and ‘tag-term3′”, but are used as “This ‘url’ material is ‘tag-term’ more than ‘url-already-tagged1′, ‘url-alreday-tagged2′ and few than ‘url-already-tagged3′, ‘url-already-tagged4′”. Every tagging term can be used as a comparison between materials.

Presenting users with social encouraging analyzes of common understandings on topics and what their friends have tagged enables a unique way to make new friendships and understand more about your friends.

This way tags can become context-oriented and gain meaning with more of their usage like Semantic web RDF terms which are pre-defined by definition.

Browsing tagged content can give the system more about the characteristics of the user in relation with the registered users tagged the content and the friends of the letter. This gives an ultimate way to determine which ad to present.

I have red a paper on Foundations and Technologies of The Semantic Web in 5th National Student Scientific-Technical Conference in city of Sozopol (Bulgaria, Europe), 27-30 September, 2009. On the letter I have presented a comparison between semantic web and the so-called wisdom of the crowd stuff.

This was inspired by the answers I have received to my questions in this event.

When it comes to social networking, more consumers are doing it and doing it for longer periods of t

When it comes to social networking, more consumers are doing it and doing it for longer periods of time. The latest numbers from Nielsen Online indicate that consumers spend 17% of their online time with social networks in August. That is an 11% increase over 2008.

by Kristina Knight

"This growth suggests a wholesale change in the way the Internet is used," ">said
Jon Gibs, vice president, media and agency insights, Nielsen’s online division.
"While video and text content remain central to the Web experience – the desire
of online consumers to connect, communicate and share is increasingly driving
the medium’s growth."

Micro-blogging sites such as Twitter, blogs, and networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn have all seen consumers increase the amount of time spent communicating with friends, family and co-workers, and advertisers have taken notice. Not only have consumers upped the time spent socially but marketers have increased the amount of money they spend in the social space.

Nielsen’s report suggests that marketers increased their social spending by more than 110% between August 2008 and August 2009; last month marketers spend $108 million on social marketing, indicating that marketers’ fears about social marketing have been upended or at least put on the back-burner as more consumers latch on to social networking.

"The considerable increases we’ve seen in ad spending over the past
year suggest that many of these concerns have subsided or been addressed. In
particular, advertisers that want to connect with core fan bases, such as movie
studios, are allocating more and more dollars to online communities like Facebook
and MySpace, where they can engage in an ongoing dialog with their target market," said Gibs.

Facebook and MySpace are getting the bulk of the ad buys in the social space. Facebook received most of the automotive, B-to-B and consumer goods ad spend while MySpace cornered the bulk of the entertainment, financial services and hardware/electronics advertising dollars.

Following my post yesterday on Twitter having to think carefully about privacy, a friend pointed me

Following my post yesterday on Twitter having to think carefully about privacy, a friend pointed me to a study that shows how social networks leak deep personal information, allowing third parties to combine what you do with who you are. Read the story here.

By itself, this may be absolutely OK depending on how much of this data is collected and how it’s used by third parties. However, most of the entities (targeting companies, ad networks, etc.) operate in a rather opaque manner for most consumers. First, you often don’t even know who those third parties are because they have no visible presence on the websites you visit yet your browser makes HTTP requests to them and they typically set multiple cookies on your machine. Many of them don’t even have a web site for a consumer to visit, for example, to figure out which business sits behind the URL and read their privacy policy.

A good (random) example is ad.yieldmanager.com, requests to which are typically hidden in the HTTP redirect chain. You need a tool like Live HTTP headers for Firefox to see them. If you make a browser request to ad.yieldmanager.com or yieldmanager.com you get nothing. The WhoIs record shows that Yahoo owns the domain. If you go to www.yieldmanager.com you’ll be redirected to the HTTPS version of the page https://www.yieldmanager.com which Firefox will refuse to display because it has an invalid security certificate. You’ll have to go through several dialog screens in Firefox to make a security exception and see the site. It will show a login screen for RightMedia (an advertising exchange bought by Yahoo) but no information for consumers. If you hit the home page of RightMedia, you’ll see a tiny link to “privacy” on the bottom which takes you to the privacy policy of the corporate site. At the end of the third paragraph, there is a link to the privacy policy on ad.yieldmanager.com. If you click on that, you’ll finally get to find out what RightMedia collects from you and what they do with it. Well, sort of.

The privacy policy says “Non-personally identifiable information is automatically sent to the Yield Manager technology by a user’s web browser. This information includes the date and time of the ad request, the user’s Internet Protocol Address, browser type, and the web page that the user is visiting.” How can they be sure that the web page I’m visiting doesn’t have personally-identifiable information? Does my Facebook URL personally identify me? Do my LinkedIn, blog, FriendFeed, Twitter URLs personally identify me? You bet they do. I have no idea whether RightMedia operates on those sites but if they do and if they can see links that can be tied to my account I’d certainly argue that their privacy policy is misleading.

Oh, one more thing. Do you know what’s the title of the privacy policy? “CONFIDENTIAL” Huh? Somebody better fix that.

<head>
<title>CONFIDENTIAL</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://my.yieldmanager.com/styles/css.php" type="text/css">
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://my.yieldmanager.com/images/default_icon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">if (top.location != location) { // if in frame
	top.location.href = document.location.href; // break out!
}
</script>
</head>

Do you think most consumers care about their information being potentially misused? I haven’t seen the studies but I hope lots do. How many of them do you think will be able to find out that yieldmanager.com/RightMedia exist and get around to finding the privacy policy and understanding it? Right.

In a world where it’s hard to even know who these third parties are let alone what one of the them says they are going to do with your information, how can anyone one be certain whether they’ll actually do what they said they would? Is it too much to ask that consumers have an easy way to (a) find out who collects data as they browse the Web and (b) have the privacy policy of those entities at most one or two clicks away?

Social media is the latest and biggest form of communication used by people worldwide to communicate

Social media is the latest and biggest form of communication used by people worldwide to communicate with each other on anything and everything imaginable from personal interest, advertising, network marketing, hobbies, newsworthy events, personal development, online marketing, and anything else that captures our attention that we may want to share with others. Since this form of communication is online, we can reach out to others on a global basis instantly with words, pictures, videos, blogs, cartoons, and any other media transmitted via the world wide web. The average time spent on social media is over four times that of radio and TV combined! In terms of using this a way of doing business online, lets take a look at how fast some of the more popular social media sites are growing.

Facebook.com is one of the most popular sites that has over 140,000,000 active users and is growing at a rate of over 250,000 new users a day. The average user logs on 3-4 times a day and spends an average of 19 minutes on the site. The site is used to communicate with like-minded people and has become a popular means of growing businesses online. Large news conglomerates, like CNN, even use Facebook to stay in touch with their viewers. As a tool to grow a business, you definitely want to be where there is so much growth and activity to have the ability to reach out to a large audience.

Twitter.com is another popular site where the user can send out a “tweet”, or a message to other users in their network at a rate of 140 characters at a time. Twitter is growing at a rate of over 300,000 new users every month. Users send out over 4,000,000 messages a day to other users in the system. With this kind of networking between the people in this system, it comes as no surprise that it is one of the most popular social media sites. Twitter and Facebook allow the user to post a picture of himself/herself so the world can have a visual image of who they are communicating with.

The last site I will discuss is Youtube.com, which is a site where the user can post a video and upload it for other users to see. No longer are we confined to words and images, but we can now share a video. It’s like having your own TV station to broadcast your video to the interested person. This allows a more personal experience where the end user will be able see you and your work more effectively. Youtube has 75,000,000 videos and is growing at a rate of 150,000 per day. Youtube is also growing faster than its predecessor, which is television.

If you have intentions on growing a business online, I highly suggest you get into social media. This is being implemented not only by online networkers, but major corporations, as they see this is the wave of the future for advertising and communication.

Take Charge and God Bless!!

Eliminare dai registri i bambini, renderli invisibili.
I bambini.

Green with envy for the Island Caretaker potentials? Or just plain green all over. Savannah is home to the second largest St. Paddy’s Day celebration in the US (next down from…Chicago? Did I hear that right?…) I was lucky enough to get the morning off to see the parade.

I decided to spread the love with my handydandy campaign sign. I actually saw a guy with a green snorkle but couldn’t get a picture with him as he kept talking on his cell phone BUT I did meet some great people who’ve heard of the Best Job and were excited to hear about Hailey!

I told them about her dedication to social media, her trip around the world, and generally why I’m promoting her. Javiar (on the left) was great–he started up a cheer of “VOTE HAILEY! VOTE HAILEY!” I’m seriously kicking myself for forgetting to put the battery in my camera ): could have had a fantastic video. Ah well, my friend Amanda luckily had her camera phone.

Harley, the girl in the middle with the green hat, was also curious about Hailey and asked me a ton of questions (: Thanks guys for the positive reaction ^-^ I hate to ’sell’ at people, but they were genuinely interested.

and Hailey too (:

While I know a lot of people have a preference for an Island Caretaker who will look at the reef with “fresh eyes”–Hailey offers a different take, more of a “welcome to my home.” Her website says “come to the reef – you know one person there already” and that really encapsulates what I personally think is a successful Island Caretaker. It’s not about going on vacation and posting pictures, it’s about connecting with people and helping them find their dream too. Hailey lives in Queenstown so if she’s the Caretaker, she’ll be there to welcome you even after the 6 months. Maybe this will segue into a more permanent tourism position (: She’s earned it.

Hailey proves she would be a dedicated Caretaker–she is walking the walk…around the world! That is the kind of competition I was expecting the Top 50 to be. She has actually contacted local businesses to help sponsor her trip. This girl’s got it under control!

As it is, less than half of the Top 50 don’t so much as have a blog. How can I vote for someone to get a blogging job when I have no evidence they even know what blogging is? I think this campaign could deflate if the Caretaker treats their blogs as a TV show or report, that one-way style of communication.

Blogging is an artform. It’s about give and take and keeping the audience engaged. It’s about being real. Hailey is ahead of the game with a number of ways to keep those of us who didn’t get the job involved.

Another great thing about her is that she was dedicated to sharing the reef with the world even before she was chosen as a Top 50 applicant. She’s marketing savy not a savy marketer. Her effort to connect with people is genuine not rehearsed. She has been an active member at Ning where she maintained one of the busiest threads.

Hailey is doing exactly what I would have done–and more. I’m surprised that there aren’t more candidates using this month of opportunity to prove themselves in social media and beyond the 60 seconds the way that she is. I thought the Top 50 would be a cut-throat race of creative campaigning. Oh well, that just makes picking who to vote for that much easier

Did you vote for Hailey? If so, take a picture with a sign showing your pride–or encouraging others to vote then let her know so she can post it on her blog.

We know, we know, the economy sucks. We know there are too many people out of work, uninsured, under-insured and really hurting. We’ve kind of figured that out from the unending barrage of bad news blaring from every available news outlet. We also know that things will get better – because they always do.

I won’t offer platitudes involving darkest moments right before dawn, or hitting rock bottom before climbing back up – though I will offer a bit of unsolicited advice. (Well, not entirely unsolicited, if you’re reading this blog you kind of sort of knew it was coming.)

In tough times businesses generally act one of two ways towards clients, vendors and community. Companies that have been around for a while realize that every business and economic organism goes through challenges and upswings. The businesses in it for the long haul will generally modify the day-to-day operations of their companies, including spending or hiring to allow them to make it through tough times. What smart companies will never compromise though is quality, reputation or ethics.

As we’ve seen too much of in the last year, newer or less ethically sound companies sometimes panic and through their fear end up destroying their long term viability. They squirrel away funds instead of using them to run their businesses. They stop paying vendors or suppliers. They fire their entire staff without offering any kind of compensation or cushion.

In tough times it can be hard to do the right thing, but it’s the only way to create and sustain your reputation, ongoing loyalty and long-term business viability.

I could offer more platitudes about why you should do the right thing, but I won’t. Having lived through the early heady days of the internet and the raucous and frequently unfounded cockiness of Silicon Alley zillionaires turned pencil pushers when that bubble burst, I will let recent history speak for itself. You only have to look back to the tech travesties of about a decade ago, to predict who will follow suit and who will actually emerge shaken but ultimately triumphant.

Facebook and other social media darlings, I’m talking to you right now, so stop squirming and listen. You’re young companies with even younger founders and you’re taking those steps towards monetizing your bit of good fortune and good enough idea. But betraying your core users is never a great idea because without us, well, you’re just Friendster. The very nature of the social networking beast is that you’ve given us the framework to spread word of your mistakes like wildfire.

Yesterday, I mentioned being used in social advertising on Facebook. I changed my settings and thought the problem was taken care of, only it wasn’t. I’m still there smiling at Tim Gunn and shilling for Tide. When Facebook’s users threatened to jump ship following the changed terms of service announced last week, FB changed them once again. Why then do we accept their day to day bad business practices and non existent customer service?

We’re faced with bad business on a daily basis these days, and you don’t have to be Bernie Madoff to become villified and shunned. Many lifetimes ago I worked in the diamond business where million dollar deals were sealed with a handshake. Go back on that handshake and no one would work with you ever again. It was that simple. While the business world is a lot more complicated, the long term ill effects of bad business and elastic ethics during tough times will definitely follow you when the market bounces back.

Some easy business rules to remember:

Do the right thing in good times

Do the right thing in tough times

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Recently, there was an intense furor over Facebook’s new Terms of Service, which weren’t only restrictive, but in essence claimed ownership of every single LOL, OMG and ) shared with friends. While the hue and cry caused Facebook to rethink their policies, it got me to thinking about what we all actually get out of these sites. Sure we can connect or re-connect, but at what price to our privacy?

Too many people (I thought smugly), aren’t using these services wisely. They haven’t protected their images or updates and randomly connect with anyone who asks. I, on the other hand thought I’d bullet-proofed my privacy settings and was only sharing with those I chose to share with.

I was wrong.

A Facebook friend named Jennifer Keene (yes, I did in fact e-mail her to ask permission to use her real name) wrote asking if I realized that my image and comments were being used in social advertisements on Facebook. I was shocked. I was appalled. I was confused. Social ads use comments you’ve made on public advertisements with the hope that your friends and network believe that you’re endorsing a product. Apparently, I’d made a snarky comment about Tim Gunn’s recent ad for Tide and my comment and picture were being used on my friends’ homepages in a way that made it seem as though I was endorsing the brand. While I thought that I’d privatized my profile, apparently I’d left myself and my comments wide open to being used by Facebook in a way that made me queasy.

The quick fix to that problem is here - turn off the social ads in your profile. The more tricky issue is of course that as we become more reliant on our daily diversions, we can sometimes become less vigilant about not only the more obvious issues, but the ones we forgot to worry about.

You can be sure that the next time that I shill for Tide, I’ll be collecting a generous paycheck for my efforts.

Ormai ci facciamo solo i cavoli nostri.

Una signora, durante una mostra, ha guardato questa campagna e mi ha detto “Credevo di essere una persona che si impegna, ma ho capito che a volte non guardo”

Diamoci un’occhiata intorno.
