mengembalikan jati diri bangsa eBay melihat kunci spamming sebagai pelanggaran kecil. Namun berulang

mengembalikan jati diri bangsa

Jadi apa sebenarnya kunci spam

Email marketing can be a great tool for expanding your business. It would be advantageous to d

Email marketing can be a great tool for expanding your business. It would be advantageous to develop an email list to market to over and over again, with their permission of course. It can leave you with a steady stream of customers as long as you are in business. This email list can serve more than one purpose. As well as being a constant customer base, your email list is also available to be a test market. Through them you can send surveys periodically and ask them what they are looking for so you can provide it for them. This is a great option for any internet marketer.

What worries some people who are considering beginning an email campaign is being accused of spamming people. Spam is unsolicited email when those people did not consent to receive email from you. If you do this, you can get into a lot of trouble you will not want to be in. The people you send unsolicited email to can complain to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The result may be that you lose your email account; all the money you spent or all the hard work you may have done to build an email list will have been wasted. Your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or domain names will be recorded and placed on a list, called a blacklist. Once you are on this blacklist you will be prevented from sending email from these sources. Email marketing will be over for you.

There are things that you can do to prevent the above from happening. Actually, there are things you should not do and you will be less likely to be accused of spamming your list. The first thing you should not do is rent an email list. Sending an email to a list of people and asking them to join your list is better than sending out a completely unsolicited email, but it can be considered spam, even though you are asking them for permission to send them email; the first email asking permission is still an unsolicited email. The best thing is to have an opt-in list. With an opt-in option, people can enter their names and email addresses into your sign-up form which will be sent to you. An email is sent automatically to them from your autoresponder requiring them to click a link subscribing them to your email list. If everyone does this, you cannot be accused of spamming them. Further helping you stay off blacklists is to have an unsubscribe link in every email; it is a requirement. Following these rules can keep you off of blacklists and keep you earning money from your email list.

It must be easy to unsubscribe to your email list to avoid being accused of spamming your list.

It must be easy to unsubscribe to your email list to avoid being accused of spamming your list. For new members who enthusiastically signed up for your email list, this may not be a problem. But for older customers there may be an issue of a rising number of unsubscribers. This can be avoided. Consider what your customers are giving up. They may only want to stop receiving your emails, but they may continue to enjoy your products and services. In this case you can give a link to your website in the email and the customer can go straight to the website without having to bother with the email. Coupons placed inside the email may be a welcome sight for these customers, also.

The customer may think that you send too many emails to them and opt to unsubscribe. An option in this case is to have a page where they can opt to decrease the frequency of the emails they receive. The unsubscribe link would send them to this page and if they are determined to unsubscribe they can, but they will also have the option to agree to receive your emails once a month, once every two months, etc. Being flexible in this area that gives your customers the ability to control the email they receive will cause fewer people to completely unsubscribe from your list.

Another thing that will cause you to lose people is when they change email addresses. A good idea would be to have a link that will take your customers to a page that will have them change their email addresses. Make this easy and visible for your customers and you will not lose them when it comes time to use a different email address.

To prevent people from wanting to unsubscribe because they did not receive the type of email they were expecting to receive, make sure that the material on your subscribe link and your website match. When you update the content on your website, maybe the description of your email content on your sign-up form ought to be updated along with it. Follow this advice and you will be assured that your website and your email newsletter content match with fewer disappointed customers.

When people want to unsubscribe, another helpful tactic would be to ask them why they would like to do so. This information will be invaluable to you and help you to gear your emails toward the interests of your customers. If you can do this, more people may choose to remain on your list.

Follow the advice above and you will be less likely to annoy your email list. Then, they will be less likely to accuse you of spamming them!

Facebook spammer ordered to pay 711 million.Social networking sites have become one of the most important places for marketers to network. I love marketing, it is one of the best things about being in business but there is a slight problem with some of the marketing methods people use. Not everyone has the same ideas about what marketing is about. Have you ever noticed how some mailing lists send you short informative newsletters that you actually enjoy reading while others seem to be sending out a letter or two a day with useless blather.intrigues me, and got me to thinking the other day how annoying it is to get posts constantly on Facebook about stuff I am not interested in.

I don´t mind seeing ideas and tips on the wall or as comments but my mail is for private conversations period. Ok, and the occasional sale or notification. I do get invitations from places like So Ho Market and I am glad. This store has great sales and I am a woman, so I occasionally like to shop. The owner of the store however only sends out ads once in a while. I am still a newbie in internet marketing compared to a lot of others but I came across a helpful tip about how to know if your advertising company is a spammer on a Keven Burton’s Blog .

So where is the limit? Where do you draw the line between helpful and downright annoying. Here is my take on the subject. I think if you are on Facebook and you want to sell that is fine but keep most of your marketing on your page. Use your wall. If you have something interesting to sell, give away or tell us about by all means send out in invitation but not every day. There has to be a limit. How about 2 a month. As for the newsletters, here is a tip. Read them before you send them. If they don´t interest you, if you don´t learn anything new, don´t send them. Rework them and send fewer quality letters. Less is more. Oh one more thing, how about starting your own social network with Ning or checking out the other 25 top social networking sites.

By the way I get newsletters from probably 20 companies and there are about 3 company’s that when I see their newsletter in my inbox I zoom in and read it.

Here they are in case you are interested.

http://veronikanoize.com/

And here is a tip from Aaron Chen about how to behave on social networks. Very interesting way to put it.

Thanks Aaron,

Well if you’re Sanford Wallace then may just end up costing you $711 million. Eina.

“On Thursday, Facebook won a victory for social-networking users everywhere. The U.S. District Court in San Jose, Calif., awarded Facebook $711 million in damages against Sanford Wallace, aka the spam king.

Facebook said Wallace, Adam Arzoomanian and Scott Shaw broke the law by sending unwanted messages and wall posts to people on Facebook, violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, the California Anti-Phishing Act, and the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act (CAN-SPAM).”[YAHOO]

I regularly post news and anti-spam tutorials as part of our company’s educational drive.

Today, I posted an entry, Australia not in Top 10 worst spam origin countries, but home to #6 spammer.

The gist of my blog is that Australia has been able to stay away from the Top 10 list because of its strong spam laws.

But governments can only do so much in fighting spam. The real key to fighting spam is the private sector’s network of internet service providers. Unless ISP networks cooperate, the fight against spam will be a losing battle.

But will networks cooperate?

The daily updates of the independent spam-tracking organisation, the Spamhaus Project, show that the positions and ranking of the world’s worst spam service ISPs keep on changing. Last May 2009, even one of the largest ISPs in the United States was in this Top 10 list, and it was ranked #6 worst spam service ISP.

Here is a part of the Spamhaus Project report :

Although all networks claim to be anti-spam, some network executives factor revenue made from hosting known spam gangs into corporate policy decisions to continue to sell services to spam operations. Others simply decide that closing the holes in their end-user broadband systems that allow spammers access would be too costly to their bottom lines.

The majority of the world’s service providers succeed in keeping spammers off their networks and work to maintain a positive anti-spam reputation, but their work is undermined daily by the few networks who, out of corporate greed or mismanagement, choose to be part of the problem.

If corporate greed, it would of course be foolish to assume that these networks will give away the proverbial “goose that lays the golden egg”. At best, they may stop servicing spam business only when cost structure arising from loss of customer support or from government lock-down pressure will be greater than the profits they derive from servicing spammers.

If mismanagement, networks have to put plugs to holes in their operations including a regular monitoring and reporting of any unusual activities in their network. Even that would mean extra costs which many ISPs will try to avoid as much as they can.

You can read more about this in my blog, A Matter of Sharing.

PERALATAN PENANGKAL CYBER TERRORISM

Although I had some friends over this afternoon (I’m not contageous, I just have to stay home to recooperate), I was forbidden from leaving the neighborhood and/or performing strenous activities, so a good deal of my day was spent on the computer spamming the Neopets chat board.

I know it’s very immature to spam chat boards. After all, spam is annoying, pointless, and just plain stupid if you really think about it. But that doesn’t stop me! For those who don’t know, Neopets is an online gaming site aimed more at the preteen crowd. I was hopelessly obsessed with the website until I was about thirteen, mainly because of the aforementioned chatboard (technically you have to be thirteen to use it, but I lied about my age). It turns out the “Neoboards” are mainly populated by bored teenagers who take the game way, WAY too seriously. Who knew, right? I didn’t realize until much later that I could have some fun with them.

Fast forward to summer of 2009. I’m stuck up at our lakehouse and there really isn’t much to do. Therefore, I set up a fake Neopets account and started posting joke messages on the Neoboards to get the reactions. Nowadays, if I get really, REALLY bored, I’ll log on again and mess with the unsuspecting board-goers. This is precisely how I amused myself these past few days, stricken with pneomonia and unable to leave the house. Sure, I probably could’ve found a better use for my time, but this is WAY more fun. I mean, who doesn’t get a good laugh out of board titles such as “I AM FRAN DRESCHER”, “Uncle Lou watches me while I sleep- should I be concerned?”, and “Charles Shaughnessy is the most gorgeous human being ever to grace us with his prescence”? Uh, probably not a lot of people. But I do, and that’s what matters.

That’s not to say I’m particularly proud of this. After all, not a lot of normal teenagers find their fun in annoying the online community of Neopets. It’s funny, yes, but probably not a good use of my time. I still do it, though! So here’s my question: what do you do online that you don’t really like admitting? Do you subsribe to Miley Cyrus’s YouTube or obsessively Google Rick Astley? It’s okay, we’re a non-judgemental bunch here. You can tell us!

My new friend Chuck Falco, who is with an “Internet marketing firm” in Chicago called the Hype

My new friend Chuck Falco, who is with an “Internet marketing firm” in Chicago called the Hyper Text Group, has been corresponding with me for the past couple of months. I’ve never met Chuck, nor have I heard of his company, but he keeps sending me messages trying to sell me email lists — not just the lists, he’s offering to manage “highly targeted” campaigns for me, using their exclusive Hyper Mail software. He claims they have 85 million opt-in consumer email addresses, updated as of July 20, 2009, and can tailor a “niche market” list that’s just right for my needs. It’s hard to fathom that so many people have given Chuck permission to sell their names and email addresses on the Internet to anyone possessing a credit card.

“With a click of the mouse,” Chuck says, “I can mail out millions of targeted emails.” It’s a pretty big target.

I’m wondering how they got my email address and why in the world he would be spamming me to buy his spamming services. So, out of curiosity I visit hypertextgroup.com to find that the company’s tagline is “Email for the Masses.” That doesn’t sound very targeted. Their stated mission is: “To redefine the way people currently think about the use of homegrown mass email marketing.” They go on to say that, “Technology is constantly changing and the way we did things yesterday aren’t the same as the way we’ll be doing them tomorrow.”

Ripvanwinkle.com might have been a more appropriate name for this group.

I find that the real play, other than delivering highly targeted mass email lists, is jumping on the environment bandwagon — they’re out to cash in on helping companies like mine “Go Green” by blasting out millions of unsolicited emails to the masses, rather than mailing out millions of pieces of unsolicited mass mail and killing all those trees in the process. I guess this truly is the way of tomorrow: green has become the most important color in the spectrum and “e” is the most important letter in the alphabet — put them together and how can we go wrong?

Nothing personal Chuck, but I think I’ll pass on the mass email offer. I decide to unsubscribe but it doesn’t take as I get another email from Chuck with the same offer, and then again. Now I’m seeing that the true benefit of their Hyper Mail system is getting through my spam filters, which is why technology has to keep changing.

Chuck, if you’re out there, please take me off your list. With 85 million email addresses, one less shouldn’t be a big deal. Thanks.

Wallace ‘may face jail time for violating a restraining order issued during the case.’:

‘”Spam king” Sanford Wallace has been slapped with a $711 million judgment for spamming Facebook users. A California judge found that Wallace, who used phishing techniques to access Facebook accounts, violated a law against sending “false and misleading” marketing emails. The judge permanently banned Wallace from accessing Facebook and recommended he be prosecuted for criminal contempt, CNET reports.

‘Wallace, who filed for bankruptcy in June, may face jail time for violating a restraining order issued during the case. “While we don’t expect to receive the vast majority of the award, we hope that this will act as a continued deterrent against these criminals,” a Facebook lawyer wrote in a company blog post.’ -CNET
