Speculation is afloat after Jamie Lynn Spears wore a T-Shirt with “The Rumours are true.”

Rumours have been floating around the gossip wheel that the 16 year old is engaged to baby-daddy Casey Aldridge. Could this be Jamie Lynn confirming for us? Time will tell!

 Jamie Lynn Spears is still Britney’s sister. Jamie Lynn is still pregnant. Jamie Lynn, however, is no longer a high school student. She recently passed her high school equivalency exam, or GED. I guess now she can tell her baby that she was already a high school graduate before she had them . . .

I, blogger formally known as “mackseen”, have chosen to break my silence. I officially feel bad for Britney Jean Spears. When I was thirteen, I admittedly admired that she had paved a path for all the Jessicas and Mandys to come. And I wanted to be her friend.

Well imagine my surprise this morning, nearly ten years later, when I awoke to what can best be termed a “mini-feed” of “status updates” on one Britney Spears over the course of the night.

Was it a hostage situation? Was she on drugs? What was she thinking? Is she bi-polar?

It seems that the answer to most of these questions is a resounding “yes”. Now typically, I don’t feel bad for Britney. I don’t have any compassion towards consistently overexposed celebrities, not even Brad Pitt. But this morning, my sentiments changed.

Were three helicopters really necessary? Where is the line between being cautious and unprofessional? At what point will making fun of Britney Spears no longer be funny? Even little Jamie-Lynn Spears who had her family’s reputation to protect but failed, is undeserving of the media attention she has gotten. Never mind that it was probably Lynne Spears who sold the story to OK! magazine, that even their mother thinks their lives are one big, fat joke.

This incident isn’t as monumental as everyone thinks it is – if you do, things will only become more “monumental” as Britney Spears continues to nosedive towards her premature end. And then we’ll all snort a little, then cry a little when we realize that it’s not just another publicity stunt and that we all had a little to do with her demise, and then maybe we’ll hold hands and be a little kinder to the next pop starlet — just enough to make her dependent on our love and affection until the vicious cycle starts all over again.

For her part in losing custody of her children, Britney Spears is an idiot. How dumb of her to not listen to the Judge’s orders. What stupidity for partying at all in plain view of paparazzi and most importantly in front of her children. It’s common sense that it’s unlawful to be driving a vehicle without a license as is failing to buckle an infant in a car seat. Sooner or later Britney will learn that not even she is above the law.
