This is the third painting in the “four seasons” collection. I had a more challenging time with spring as I look out the window at the sleet and snow. Once I allowed my mind to surrender to the current, all was flowing.

Every school has its own policies and I imagine not everywhere students celebrate Spring day as in Argentina.

I managed to finish a few paintings this week. I am sad to say I didn’t finish all 20 paintings in May, but I am glad I made so much progress. I’ve learned quite a few techniques in the process, and I will continue this project until it is done. I still have finish 6 paintings to complete the 20, and I’ve already planned out the finish product. I just hope they turn out the way I plan, but I suppose that really isn’t the point of experimenting with all of these different techniques.

These two paintings above are the finished crushed wedding flower pieces. They are meant to be hung either side by side or above and below the main roses painting with my wedding bouquet. They didn’t quite turn out the way I thought they would, but I learned some key tips to make this process go much quicker. It would be better to spray paint your flowers the main color you want them to be in the end. Additionally, sprinkle your crushed flowers directly onto the gloss and emulsion mix so they will stick. This will save petals, time and the gloss varnish you will have to use to stick them on after the paint has dried.

I had to make this painting in layers. First, I created a bumpy texture, then I painted the background with a mixture of white, blue, orange, and pink acrylic paint. I blended them together with a wet brush. After the background dried, I created the grass with a combination of gloss varnish and a green acrylic paint. I then mixed different acrylic colors with water to create the drops.

When all the under layers dried, I started painting on the poppies. I used a combination of red and pink to give them texture. The canvas will be finished when I paint on their dark center next week.

I’m not quite sure where I’m headed with this one. I used a brown acrylic paint with a combination of gloss varnish to create the base. Then I used the same combination with a red acrylic paint instead for the top coat. I want to see what reaction this creates, but I’ll have to wait until it dries.

This next one is a bit interesting. I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of making large circles with my gloss varnish and acrylic mixture. I’ll continue to experiment with this until I find the right mixture. Nevertheless, I did like the result I obtained in this piece. I created the texture with a light blue acrylic paint and texture paste mixture. Then I used the gloss varnish and acrylic paint combination to create the circles. I plan on creating a Koi fish stencil to to place on this piece followed by another round of green swirls over that. I am interested to see how this turns out.

This is Mr. Marmalade after his hair brushing, fulfilling his duties as our resident studio guard cat. Here he is sitting next to a few of Lisa Nunn’s fabulous flower paintings. He has always been a very happy cat, but he was especially friendly today. I think he was after my lunch to be honest, but I didn’t give him any. I didn’t want us to have a sick kitty on our hands. His company is always so very pleasant.

Fiecarui liceu i s-a atribuit o tara in urma tragerii la sorti in cadrul Consiliului Judetean al Elevilor, Economicului revenindu-i Franta! (nici ca se putea mai bine ). Pin urmare daca noua ne-a cazut Franta bineinteles ca s-a apelat la clasa mea de bilingv pentru participanti, am participat eu si inca 3 colege de la mine din clasa, o fata de la 11 A, un baiat de la 10 A si o fata de la 12 E (cantareata liceului). Profesoarele responsabile, adica doamnele profesoare de franceza ne-au propus sa facem o sceneta pe baza unei melodii franceze: Francis Cabrel – Je t’aimé, je t’aime et je t’aimerai . Am pregatit-o 2 zile si ne-am prezentat cu ea la concurs. Juriul a ramas surprins si cu ajutorul probei secunde (cea de cantare a imnului tarii respective) am reusit sa luam

Locul 1 bineinteles ca l-au luat gazdele si organizatorii: Grup Scolar Gheorghe Asachi cu Irlanda! iar 3 Metalurgicul  din cate am inteles cu Cipru!

Important e ca am adus Cupa la Economic (bine nu Cupa mare si “galbena”) dar pe cea mica alba si lucioasa tot am adus-o !

Asa, vreau sa imi cer scuze ca am lasat blogul la naftalina o perioada, dar am fost super ocupat cu scoala (abia astept sa intru cum trebuie in vacanta). Am sa va rezumez ce am facut in ultima perioada: am inceput sa lucrez la site-ul pentru modulul de la franceza, am maine o piesa de teatru (mai mult e un musical) cu ocazia Spring Day (eveniment la care ar trebui sa participe toate liceele), am alergat prin tot orasul pentru un club sau restaurant pentru majorat si cred ca am gasit locul, dar pana atunci mai am alte majorate.

الممثل Jo Insung و الممثلة Go Hyun Jung (الوصيفة الأولى في مسابقة ملكة جمال كوريا 1989) تم رصدهما في الـ27 من فبراير يتشاركان كوباً من الشاي في  مقهى في Samcheongdong في وقت متأخر من الليل.
إنّ إجتماع هذا “الثنائي” كان أحد العناوين البارزة لليوم.
و طبقا للشهود، فإن الإثنان كانا يرتديان ملابس عادية وبدا سعيدين معاً.
المقهى الهادئ عادة تعطّل على الفور و ذلك بسبب المعجبين و المارة الذين أرادوا إلقاء نظرة سريعة على “الثنائي”.

إذاً, السؤال هو هل يتواعدان فعلاً؟ حسناً، العامة يعتقدون بأنّهم قد يكونون كذلك, و لكن الممثل دحض كل هذه الإشاعات و علّق بأنهم أصدقاء فقط.
الجدير بالذكر أن الممثلة Go Hyun Jung أكبر من الممثل Jo InSung بعشرة أعوام .
كما أن الممثل Jo Insung سيذهب للخدمة العسكرية الشهر القادم .
Jo Insung و Go Hyun Jung جمعهما عمل سابقاً في عام 2005 في دراما “ Spring Day ” وكلاهما أقرّ بأنّهم أصدقاء جيدين جداً.

 La Primavera dell’ Europa

E’ già iniziata la campagna informativa della Primavera dell’ Europa 2009, giunta alla sua settima edizione!

Quest’ anno gli insegnanti sono invitati ad iscriversi in netto anticipo, rispetto agli anni passati.

Il sito web di SD2009 è attivo e alcune scuole si sono già iscritte!

Questo è un buon inizio per programmare le attività on line e quelle off line da realizzare sul territorio!

Il progetto Spring Day for Europe è coordinato da European Schoolnet su mandato della Commissione Europea.

L’ obiettivo principale è di suscitare il dibattito nelle scuole sui grandi temi dell’ Europa

per la realizzazione della società europea basata sulla conoscenza, sensibilizzando i giovani  della UE alla cittadinanza attiva e democratica.

Come per il 2008,  Spring Day coniuga le proprie iniziative con la tematica lanciata dalla Commissione Europea per celebrare il 2009: anno della Creatività e dell’ Innovazione.    

E’ una bella sfida rivolta ad insegnanti e studenti per mostrare le molteplici modalità con cui la creatività  e l‘ innovazione si possono manifestare e realizzare.

Creare ed innovare contribuiscono a portare nuove idee nel modo di fare scuola.

Il sito mostra le molteplici attività a cui si può partecipare nel periodo che va dal 25 marzo al 9 maggio, il giorno che celebra la Festa dell’ Europa.

Tutte le scuole, a partire dalla scuola dell’ infanzia alla secondaria superiore, sono invitate ad esprimere la loro capacità innovativa e creativa.

So the first of September marks the first day of spring in the southern hemisphere and marks the end of winter for us and the arrival of spring. I was thinking of doing something cheesy but I decided against it, so instead I present to you a horrible picture taken with a cheap camera of a tree that sits right outside my window that bosoms like clock work each year. And yes I know its a day early but I am bound to forget, so happy Spring day to all readers of Anime Life And Everything Else.
