Bei der Jahreskonferenz von Reynholm Industries sollen eigentlich die erfreulichen Bilanzen präsentiert werden, als unerwartet die Polizei auftaucht, um Denholm unangenehme Fragen zu stellen. Der reagiert kurz entschlossen mit einem Sprung aus dem Fenster, um der Befragung aus dem Weg zu gehen. Geschockt über den Tod ihres Chefs, wird Jen vom Nachfolger auch noch verkündet, dass er die IT-Abteilung schließen will. Roy und Moss nutzen unterdessen einen Fragenkatalog, um ihr Todesdatum zu errechnen – mit einem Ergebnis, das Roy gar nicht glücklich macht.

I have a confession, I’ve never really been a video game girl. Until I got my Nintendo DS, well, not really. My pregnancy made me a die hard gamer. What else was I going to do?  It’s strange, I’m obsessed.

Sprung is the first game I’ve played all the way through. This, however, does not mean it’s the greatest game ever. It just means I had a slightly longer attention span that day. Sprung amounts to the mass market romance novel of the video game world.

Sprung is text based roleplaying game, where you can play as Becky or Brett. Think of it as Choose Your Own Adventure for adults. I’ve always been curious about these type of games since seeing them on JList and the Super Milk Chan show.
While the game itself is not hard you can spend quite a chunk of time playing. Because, like with those pesky books, a wrong choice could send you off on a terribly convoluted path. It’s also true this game is not for everyone. After all what game is?

Your objective in playing Sprung is to land yourself a man (or woman) while on a ski trip. You face a lot of obstacles in doing so. Including getting a job, keeping said job (Seriously who gets a job on vacation?), and a pesky Southern Asian woman (Yeah, I know, just laugh about it) who won’t shut up.
If you’re looking for rocket science and shoot-em ups, do pass this game up. However if you are looking for some mindless afternoon fun or love cheesy art  it’s time to get Sprung!

‘Crazy in Love’ by Beyonce was on the radio,and I was singing along, when I noticed she sang “You got me sprung and I don’t care who sees”. Sprung sounded kind of rude to me (lol),  but I know it is used frequently in American Pop/RnB. I had no idea what it meant, and so I thought I ‘d look it up:

Spring has sprung at Tea Gardens Grange where I work – not that this particular photo shows that really. This photo is a picture of just one of the many ponds we have around the village. There is also a large central artificial lake.

This particular pond is one that requires very little maintenance and that is probably because of the lower light levels, which means fewer aquatic weeds and plant life are able to become established. This is largely due to the many tea trees that surround the pond.

It would be my favourite pond in the village.

Spring has surely sprung!

Das Wort „Blauer Fleck“ hat eine neue Dimension! Vom unteren Rückenbereich bis zu den Knien hab ich schwerste Quetschungen in allen Schattierungen von rot bis schwarz. Wie es dazu kommen konnte? Im Urwald in den Bergen bei Honolulu gibt es einen Wasserfall namens Kapena Fall, der in ein sehr tiefes Becken mündet. Der Ort gilt als Geheimtipp unter Locals, da der Eingang zu diesem wunderschönen Naturerlebnis irgendwo zwischen zwei Büschen einer Friedhofsgärtnerei liegt. Heute entschieden wir uns mal gegen Strand, für Dschungel und Wasserfälle. Neben dem Wasserfall gibt es eine Klippe, die unter Einheimischen sehr bekannt und 37 feet (also gute 12 Meter) hoch ist.

Mein höchster tiefster Sprung bislang war vom 5-Meter-Brett im Höchstadter Freibad und schon das empfand ich als ungeheuer hoch. Aber nach Hawaii komme ich so schnell nicht wieder, also musste ich auch den Klippensprung mitnehmen. Ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen wie tief das Wasser unter mir schwarzgrün schimmerte und ich hatte vor wenigen Dingen im Leben mehr Angst, als dort hinunter zu springen. Aber da halft kein Zaudern und Zögern, ein mutiger Schritt und ich flog und flog und flog. Ich wusste gar nicht, wie lang 12 Meter Flugbahn sein können. Genug jedenfalls um vom Vorhaben, eine gerade Kerze zu springen, abzukommen und eine Arschbombe daraus zu machen.

Das erste was mir durch den Kopf schoss, als ich ins Wasser auftauchte, war der Begriff „Milzriss“, danach „Leberriss“, „Trommelfell geplatzt“ und „Wirbelsäule gestaucht“. Aber wenigstens wusste ich dem Moment, dass der Kopf noch dran ist. Trotzdem war es ein super Erlebnis, an das mich mein Hintern noch sicher eine Woche bei jeder Bewegung erinnern wird!

P.S. Das auf dem Bild bin zwar nicht ich, sondern Anna. Aber ich bin die selbe Höhe gesprungen!

P.P.S. Ich werde hier bestimmt kein Bild von meinem Po reinstellen, aber solche Verletzungen hab ich noch nie gesehen, das könnt ihr mir glauben. Und ich habe schon einiges gesehen. Schließlich habe ich früher mal die Bildbeweisstücke der Akten einer Lebensversicherung sortiert.

A BRAND new £23 million Scots school was flooded just months after opening.

Torrential rain and strong winds battered the new Eyemouth High School and leaked dangerously into electrical fittings.

Now staff are racing to repair the multi-million pound school in time for its 420 pupils returning for the new term on August 17.

The seaside school was built under the controversial public-private partnership (PPP) programme, meaning commercial firm Amey owns and runs the building, while the Scottish Borders Council employs the teachers.

It was even built with a nautical theme with pillars and wires made to look like boat masts and rigging.

But like a stricken ship the school buckled under severe rain throughout July.

Water leaked through the roof and seeped into light fittings, leaving expensive new classroom gear at risk.

Janitor Mark Johnston rushed to the soaked classrooms to quickly remove any equipment that could be damaged.

Emergency repairs are now underway, according to the council.

They said: “Amey were onsite promptly and Mark Johnston, one of the school’s new janitors, identified the area affected and acted quickly to remove any equipment that could be damaged.

“With the leak getting progressively worse, Amey and Graham Construction evaluated the situation and took the necessary emergency repairs to prevent further damage occurring.

“Mark’s swift actions and the actions taken by Graham Construction and Amey offsite teams have meant the damage to the building was limited to the loss of two areas of ceiling tiles.”

In letzter Zeit habe ich eigentlich keine wirklich guten Virals mehr gesehen, und hier entsprechend verewigen können. Doch der Folgende entschädigt die lange Durststrecke allemal. Für MegaWoosh geht Bruno Kammerl über eine Distanz von 35,2 Metern in ein Planschbecken, und mir fehlen die Worte. Näher am Produkt geht nicht, und schon jetzt einer der besten Virals in diesem Jahr. Im Übrigen sucht der Herr noch Investoren, und jetzt Swooh!
