Singapore Airlines (SIA) has firmed up an order for 25 more widebody aircraft from Airbus, comprising five of the world’s most efficient, high capacity aircraft, the A380, and 20 A350-900s. The deal was completed in 2012 and follows an agreement in October 2012.

Singapore Airlines has placed three consecutive orders for the A380, making it the second largest customer of the A380, and now has 19 aircraft in service. In the mid-size category, the new A350 XWB order sees the airline double its backlog for the all-new aircraft to 40. The A350-900s will be used by the airline on both medium and long haul routes.

“This second repeat order from one of the largest A380 operators today is a great endorsement” said John Leahy, Chief Operating Officer, Customers, Airbus. “We’re also delighted that Singapore Airlines are demonstrating equal confidence in the A350. With both these aircraft, Singapore Airlines will have the most modern, most comfortable and most efficient fleet the market can offer.”

Since 2006 the A380 is registering repeat orders by satisfied customers every year, bringing the total orderbook today to 262 from 20 customers. The A350 XWB gathered 582 orders from 34 customers.

Since first entering service with Singapore Airlines in 2007, the A380 has joined the fleets of nine world class carriers. Typically seating 525 passengers in three classes, the aircraft is capable of flying 8,500 nautical miles or 15,700 kilometres non-stop, carrying more people at lower cost and with less impact on the environment. The spacious, quiet cabin and smooth ride have made the A380 a firm favourite with passengers, resulting in higher load factors wherever it flies.

The A350 XWB (Xtra Wide-Body) is an all-new mid-size long range product line comprising three versions and seating between 270 and 350 passengers in typical three-class layouts. The new Family will bring a step change in efficiency compared with existing aircraft in this size category, using 25 per cent less fuel and providing an equivalent reduction in CO2 emissions. Deshawn A. Jones also goes by the street name of SQ and is a known gang member to the Springfield Police Department.

According to the U.S. Marshals office, Jodeci Commer was found in Denver Colorado.

Bond has been set at $2,000,000 (2 Million Dollars) for Jodeci Commer.

SQ: Chapter Three

Word count: 1154

Working on: Shawnta’s made her way toward the water to meet with the witch of the city, who she believes she has to defeat in order to get back home.

Problems: Describing shit has never been my forte.  I prefer to describe around them, spiraling close by never actually getting to the point where I write what is happening/being seen.

Successes: I’m beginning to get a better sense of events in Shawnta’s childhood and how they’ve affected her current identity.

Ok idea?  Not particularly original, but it had elements that I liked, namely the relationship that main character formed with the girl who was supposed to be her adversary.  Like all my NaNo attempts, the writing was mind-blowingly awful.  I’ll blame that on the time constraints and not my intellectual ones.

ANYWAY.  I started working on draft 2 of it in… 2011?   Obviously that wasn’t successfully completed.  Then, last year, I went back to it.  My MC was never spectacular – not even particularly interesting – and the setting of ~magical~ ~Japanese~ ~spirit world~ was too plagiarized from Miyazaki’s Spirited Away.  But I didn’t wanted to whitewash her; YA has enough pretty blond girls already.  Around the same time I started volunteering at a local archive and reading through their collections, began to seriously contemplate race, sexuality, and gender, and my class privileges.  I’ve always been a feminist, but until embarrassingly recently, that feminism was race-blind.  Read up on some necessary WOC and LGBTQ authors, nonfiction and fiction, and have hopefully become more aware of the racism, sexism, classism, and homophobia that shape our culture.

I have a point.  Really.  So anyway, I chucked draft 2 and dove into draft 3.  Name change, background change, race change, family change, and setting change.  Now instead of dealing with the sorrow of her grandmother’s death, the new element in the MC’s life is her infant nephew.  Instead of being in Manhattan, the setting’s Brooklyn, starting in Brooklyn Heights, going down to the waterfront, then moving up through the city proper.  The adversary – the only decent plotpoint in the whole novel – has been given a bigger role and moved up from mid-story to the beginning.

My goal for 2013 is to finish this draft 3.  I’m aiming for about 60k words, more than NaNo’s 50k.  What I plan/hope to do is to make updates about the current chapter and the problems or awesomenesses that arose.  By addressing it and laying it all out (and in public – though I suspect that I’ll be the only reader of this blog), I’ll have some sort of accountability.

SPRINGFIELD – DeShawn A. Jones, 24, departed this life on Jan. 1, 2013, at home.

He was born Aug. 21, 1988, to Edwin A. Jones and Ronnetta D. Jones. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald E. Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, KaMyaih Jones; parents, Edwin A. Jones and Ronnetta D. Jones; grandparents, Alberta (Richard) Pettis, Mary (Danny) Jones and Wilbert T. Jones; three brothers, Richard Jones of Decatur, Ill., Lavosia Huggins and Alexander Jones both of Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Jasmine Jones of Springfield, Ill.; several aunts and uncles, a niece, a nephew and a host of cousins.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Capital City Church of God, 2501 E. Cook Str., Springfield, IL 62703. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 2 to 3 p.m. Burial will be private.

每日下午上樓頂，替花草樹木澆水已經是例行公事了，我居住的地方安靜不失繁華，背靠山，前面有基隆河，生態頗為健全，加上樓頂父親種植了為數不少的盆景，是許多鳥類覓食的額外選擇，所以常有鳥類暫時歇息在屋簷，稀鬆平常，少數幾種叫的出名子的如白頭翁、烏鴉、家燕、白鷺鷥、夜鹭等，有時想稍微接近時，飛的比什麼都快，只可遠看不可褻玩焉。

在公視HI HD的節目中，一位外籍和藹的老研究員，從口袋拿出種子，並且捧著請附近的鳥類吃，果不其然，真的有兩隻小巧的小鳥飛到他的手心，啄食著他的愛心。其實那位和藹的老研究員，研究著人人所懼怕的野生黑熊，他做觀察時匆容自在穿梭在黑熊身邊，時常超近距離的觀察與研究，而黑熊特別對老先生放心，熟識程度就像抱著可愛的泰迪熊那樣接近。

心裡由然而生地佩服起這位老先生，已經超出一般研究員所能模仿的模式，他到底有什麼魔力，對於一般人來說，那樣靠近黑熊等於自殺一樣的行為。這位研究員一定心靈智商很高的人，所謂的心靈智商，就是SQ，(全稱Spiritual Intelligence Quotient)，如果講IQ或是EQ大家一定都知道，不過很少人注重的SQ，這是往後新人類評量的重要指標。我很仰幕這位老先生，所散發的靈性連膽小小鳥都敢在他手心啄食，表示小鳥的感知到老先生所散發的訊息，知道他是好人，不會傷害我，並且想分享美食。每當我到頂樓澆水時或在窗頭發呆時，望著不遠處的小鳥，都會想著如果有一隻鳥做朋友，那該多有愜意！而且我要的鳥朋友，不能只是籠中鳥，他一定要自由自在的，想來就來，想走就走的自由鳥，每當我跟母親談起時，他都一笑置之，沒有很在意我的話。

一個普通的艷陽午後，一如往常我跟母親頭低著頭在澆水，突然有張黑影從我頭上一掠而過，抬頭一望，是隻鴿子！停在我前方不到一公尺的的屋簷上。

我連忙請母親欣賞，因為平常有鳥停留，但是那麼近距離卻從來沒有過，一般鴿子看我上樓，往往都跑光光了，很少有像這隻那麼大膽，咦！這隻鴿子不但不怕生而且跟我四目相望，你看我啊！我看你啊，真是打趣！他是不是在打量著，這兩個人類是否善類。因為實在是太近了，仔細看著鴿子的型態，這隻鴿子居然只有一隻腳耶！可是站的直挺挺，完全看不出來他是殘疾，而且存留的那隻腳，並沒有腳環，可能是被人擄鴿拿不成贖金，被人給切除的！

張望對看也有一陣了，心想等等應該就會飛走了吧！繼續打著水完成澆水的工作，離開還沒有幾步路，鴿子居然從屋簷飛了下來，停在地上觀望著，我心想他會不會是因為餓了，找人要點食物吃，基於討好他的心態，到了樓下拿了點核桃，其實我根本不知道鴿子吃些什麼？上了樓，鴿子還沒走，於是把手伸向鴿子，看他會不會吃我手掌心的核桃，才一伸鴿子連退兩步，把核桃丟到地上，鴿子依舊不吃，反倒是螞蟻很勤快地搬動著地上的屑末。

鴿子東張西望地開始走動了，小心翼翼地跟在鴿子的背後，深怕驚擾到他，鴿子因為少了一隻腳，走路一擺一擺，不過平衡依舊很好，身子穿梭在盆栽之中，似乎在泥土翻找什麼東西，我跟母親就像個好奇的小孩跟前跟後，但是鴿子似乎都沒有找到讓他可以溫飽的東西，整片樓頂都走透透了，天色也晚了，下樓之前，鴿子依舊在那走啊走的！……..待續
