Labeled the smallest mom in the world, Stacey Herald, is a 28″ tall pregnant women that looks like a human Kiwi. I’m not judging the small mother of 2, but she does resemble the nature defying Kiwi.

Nature's Funny

I did a little blog a few months ago regarding these mini nocturnal darlings from down-under-and-to-the-right (New Zealand) that produce an egg more than half their body size that nearly kills them due to the stress and pressure to their organs. According to doctors, this is exactly the potential dangers Stacey Herald faces with the increasing growing fetus. Her normal size husband had no comment on the subject, but it would be safe to assume that he likes his minis.

PS: out of date.

So another weekend whizzes by. I worked Friday and Saturday this week to make up for the bank holida

So another weekend whizzes by. I worked Friday and Saturday this week to make up for the bank holiday. Im glad there are no more bank holidays until chrimbo as I dont get paid for them and they cock my working week up. So I finished work at 11.30 on Saturday and it was down to Liverpool Cricket Club armed with my cool bag filled with a selection of Strongbow cider, sausage rolls and Seabrooks crisps. How predictable of me. So Lancashire put Worcestershire into bat who went onto score 258 from their overs. So a quick break and Lancashire came into bat, as the day went on we watched less cricket and chatted more shite as the effects of the grog kicked in. Lancashire started their innings well but had a slump in the middle and eventually won the game with 5 balls to spare. It was an average turn out for a Lancashire game at Liverpool and there was only one small stand which we sat in to start off with but moved around the ground later on. So the match was over and we headed over to The Kingsman pub. So after only a couple of extra pints I made the sensible decision to head home about 8pm so I wouldnt be too rough on Sunday. When i got home the people opposite were having a bbq and Mrs Fay and the kids were over there. So the excellent decision to go home early had been scuppered and I fell into ours about 12am and another 5 cans were sunk which led to me having a slight headache come Sunday morning.

So poor old Tony Blair had to cancel his book signing after his last one he was pelted with missiles. I read on twitter that Tony Blair was shitting himself as the protestors could launch eggs and slippers at just 45 mins notice. Sounds familiar that ! I wonder if they were size 11 Dr Martins or your more traditional Iraq slipper which wouldnt hurt too much. But anyway no more autographed books, gotta be pretty sad to get a copy signed

In Columbia the new worlds smallest man has been declared. At 70cm (27-inch) tall the Colombian has been named the world’s shortest living man by Guinness World Records. Edward Nino Hernandez, 24, weighs only 10kg (22lbs). His mother said he had not grown since he was two years old. Mr Hernandez, who works part-time as a dancer, told the Associated Press: “I feel happy because I’m unique.” He better cash in now as Mr Hernandez is not expected to keep the title of world’s shortest man for long due to hagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal is expected to take the title when he turns 18 in October. Khagendra, currently recognised as the world’s shortest living teenager, is only 56cm (22in) tall. Nice to see he has pets (see below) but on the scale of things they are like St Bernards to us and Mr Hernandez is in great danger of being mauled to death by them two dogs. He has also got his Guinness certificate leaning against the wall I see. Well I suppose he wanted it at eye level.

Cant leave the blog without a mention of our great England footballer Wayne Rooney. With the latest alleged stories of more prozzy visits (who can forget his granny shagging on Aigburth Road just down the road from where I live) Mr Rooney has been at it again. Now if Wayne’s got a heart and for Colleens benefit I suggest that he packs in his vice addiction and instead when he feels weak look at the picture above and arrange for Mr Hernandez to spend a night with a £1000 pound a night escort. Now researching world smallest everything I can across the world smallest mother !! Ok here it goes this was last November and in the Daily Mail. The world’s smallest mother is about to give birth for the third time – despite warnings she is risking her life. Stacey Herald, who is just 2ft 4in tall, was told that becoming pregnant could kill her, but bravely defied doctors to have two babies half her height. Baby number 3 was a boy and after some difficulties is now home with the rest of the family. For the women out there Malachi was born by a rare vertical caesarian which does what it say on the tin. Now I will leave that at that without descending into mockery but will leave you with just one observation why has she got a giant syringe or is she really that small ?

Thankfully I have a super injunction against the Merseymart stopping the printing sordid details of a the night I came out of the o-five one and stayed in the Adelphi with 6 of the 7 dwarves from the 1995 pantomime at the Liverpool Empire and Pete Price.

Peace

Tiny mom Stacey Herald and husband Wil are showing off the newest addition to their family – baby Malachi.

Stacey has a rare genetic condition called Osteogenisis Imperfecta, which stunts her growth and causes underdeveloped lungs and brittle bones.

Years ago, doctors warned Stacey, who is just 2ft 4ins, it would be too dangerous for her to ever have children.

Determined to have a family, the 35-year-old defied docs and has gone to give birth to three babies in the last three years.

Malachi was born by a rare vertical caesarian in November weighing just 2lb 1oz. After his arrival he had to be placed into an incubator in intensive care and was only allowed home last month after falling seriously ill with a virus and then suffered a life-threatening hernia.

Both he and his oldest sister Kateri, 3, have inherited their mom’s condition, while middle child Makya is average sized.

While Wil is at work Stacey watches the 3 kids on her own. A specially built platform allows her to bath them and change their diapers during the day.

The family’s cupboards are organized so she can reach everything she needs to when her husband is not home.

At night Wil takes care of night feeding and diaper changes.

“We’re pretty busy right now,” Stacey says, “Sleep is something we really miss.

“Three children would be a challenge for anyone – even normal sized people.”

Mrs Herald struggles to cope with daughter Makya, who is already a foot taller than her.

“I can’t physically stop Makya if she’s upset,” said Mrs Herald. “She’s too big for me now, so Wil has to take care of that.”

With all this, Stacey says they are not ruling out a fourth baby. Crazy you say? We agree!
Malachi arrived eight weeks early by caesarian section on November 28, weighing just 2lb 10oz.

Years ago, doctors warned Stacey, who is just 2ft 4ins, it would be too dangerous for her to ever have children.

Determined to have a family, the 35-year-old defied docs and has gone to give birth to three babies in the last three years.

Stacey, who has 34 stitches across her stomach, said: ‘He’s the most beautiful perfect boy I’ve ever seen.

‘All I want to do is stay by his side.’ She had been expected to give birth just before Christmas, but doctors decided it was not safe to let the pregnancy go any longer.

The mum of three from Kentucky, USA, has a rare genetic disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes brittle bones, underdeveloped lungs and stunted growth.

She uses a wheelchair but manages to care for daughters Kateri, three, and Makya, 18 months, with the help of husband Wil, 27, a trainee priest.

Stacey was told having children would risk her life because the pressure of the pregnancy would put too much pressure on her body and squash her internal organs.

But after marrying Wil, who is 5ft 9ins, in 2005, Stacey bravely decided to go ahead with her plans for a family.

Now the couple have three children and have not ruled out the possibility of more.
For now, Baby Malachi is being cared for at a hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will have to stay in an incubator for several months.

We wish the Herald’s well and hope that baby Malachi comes home soon!

DRY RIDGE, KY – The world’s smallest mother is soon expecting her third child!

Stacey Herald, 35, is only 2 feet and 4 inches tall. Although she seems much too small for it to be biologically possible, she is 30 weeks pregnant with her third child!

Herald had been told by doctors in the past that a baby would grow too big inside her frame and eventually crush her organs, but she proved them wrong.

“They all told me that I would die. They begged me not to have a baby. Even my mother said,’ You know you won’t survive right?’” said Herald. “I told her: ‘It’s a miracle that I am here, that I have life, why couldn’t this be a miracle too?’”

Both daughters were born via caesarean section, but only her first daughter inherited Herald’s condition, osteogenesis imperfecta, which causes brittle bones and underdeveloped lungs. Herald is now preparing for her third C-section, as the baby is already half her size!

Although Herald admits to being extremely uncomfortable, she said, “We didn’t plan to have more than two kids, we just think that they’re a great gift to the world, and when I look at them I see Will and I feel so full of love, it’s tough not to want more.”

Measuring just 2ft 4ins, Mrs. Herald has already defied doctors orders and gone on to deliver to have two healthy baby girls.

The 35-year-old from Dry Ridge, Kentucky, USA, suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes brittle bones and underdeveloped lungs, and means she failed to grow.

Now the determined mom, who uses a wheelchair, and her husband Will, who is 5ft 9ins, are awaiting the birth of their third child, due in the next four weeks.

Even thought she cannot hold her daughter because her belly gets in the way, and she admits being pregnant is “uncomfortable”, the couple says they want more children.

By the time the new addition, a boy, is one he will already tower over his mum.

Stacey and her husband met in 2000 while working for a supermarket in their home town and were desperate for a family after marrying in 2004.

But doctors warned them that a baby would grow so large inside her tiny body it would eventually crush her organs.

“It broke my heart that I couldn’t have kids,” she said.

“All my life my parents had told me that I could do anything. Then there were these doctors telling me that we couldn’t be a complete family. It really hurt.”

Eight months after their marriage, the couple was thrilled to discover they were expecting and decided to go ahead even though family and doctors begged them to reconsider.

After 28 weeks, doctors performed a cesarean section and daughter Kateri was born, weighing just 2lbs and 1oz in 2006.

She grew well but there was heartbreak for the family when they discovered Kateri had inherited Mrs Herald’s condition and would also never grow to a normal height.
Doctors tried to let the second baby stay in Mrs Herald’s body for as long as possible, letting her pregnancy go to 34 weeks before taking her into theatre.

Daughter Makaya who, at 18 inches was more than half her mum’s body length when she was born, weighed 4lbs and 7oz.

Now both girls are bigger than their mother, who is now 30 weeks pregnant with her first boy.

She said: “It’s getting tougher and tougher to move.

“At the moment because I’m getting really big again I can’t hold my youngest daughter because my belly gets in the way and I can’t get my arms around her.”

Mrs Herald added: “All my babies are miracles, but we haven’t thought about if we’re going to have some more, as they’re a real handful right now.

“We didn’t plan to have more than two kids, we just think that they’re a great gift to the world, and when I look at them I see Will and I feel so full of love, it’s tough not to want more.”

I hope that after the baby arrives, this couple just enjoys the three miracles they have. It would be foolish for them to keep testing the laws of nature.
