The Slovenian sprinter for the Dutch Vacansoleil team got the jump on the rest of the fast men, beating Tyler Farrar (Garmin) and Daniele Bennati (Liquigas) to the finish in Xàtiva.

A stage win in the bag, Borut can consider himself on vacation despite the hilly stages next week. Team sponsor Vacansoleil rents RV’s and mobile homes for camping in 16 countries throughout Europe. So we’re sure he can find a nice scenic spot to kick back and relax.

According to the press skit, all rental accommodations include a set of garden furniture and a parasol. TS sees Bozic holding a glass of rioja in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. He’s been one of the most combative riders, now he’s the most chill.

The Vacansoleil rider clearly enjoyed his day in the soleil. He foiled the best laid plans of Columbia and Garmin. Nothing like a grand tour stage win to give you that wide vacation grin. Tyler Farrar on the other hand must be wondering what’s wrong with his fast-twitch fibers. Is he wearing too much argyle – or not enough?

It was a sunny, picture postcard day in the Vuelta, a perfect day to go on vacation, especially if you’re Borut Bozic.

Xativa: The start and the finish of the Vuelta Stage 6

Circumstances are keeping me away from the Vuelta today. Sometimes real life gets in the way. Also, it looks like Eurosport are only providing a modicum of live coverage themselves.

However, lets dwell slightly on the stage itself. Stage 6 begins and end in the province of Valencia in a town called Xativa which dates back to the fourteen hundreds. It’s a beautiful looking place and hopeful will give rise to some wonderful backdrops as the Pelaton glides through.

The route is a lot more lumpy with three climbs. The highest being the Alto de Muela. However, assuming Andre Greipel can keep the any Breakaways under control, we should be in for a sprint finish and an opportunity for the German to claim a third successive stage win.

Stage 6 recap:

What a spectacular stage again! This stage wouldn’t have made such huge time gaps if there wouldn’t have been any rain, but that’s life…

For a long time it looked like at least one member of the day’s break would finish ahead of the peloton. David Millar broke away from the break on the last climb of the day and almost pulled off a “Voecklerian effort“. His lead even grow during the downhill, but as soon as he reached the huuuge avenues of Barcelona, the team behind him got organised and caught him with like 1200 metres to go (“…with five kilometres to go, I said to myself, ‘Oh no, it’s over’.”).

But the group that caught Millar wasn’t the whole bunch. On the wet, slippy roads of Barcelona there were a lot of crashes that split the peloton. One of the losers of the day was – guess what – Menchov, who has been punished with yet another minute. Tom Boonen also hit the deck, I feel terrible sorry for him. One day it’s the puncture, next day it’s a crash – c’mon Tommeke, I keep my fingers crossed for you! (Eurosport: “…the Belgian national champion not for the first time taking a nosedive on a thick white line.” Bad-bad Blazin’ Saddles). But the biggest loser of the day has to be Michael Rogers: the Columbia captain crashed as well and lost over 13 minutes and now he is placed 159th of 177 riders! I’d say his chances – if there were any – are over, instead of the GC he has to set up new goals for this Tour.

Long story short: Thor Almighty won he stage ahead of Oscar Freire (finally) and Joaquin Rojas. Ballan, Pozzato and Ciolek were also in the mix.

Stage 7 preview:

Welcome to the Pyrenees! Today will be the first really tough day in the office, as the peloton moves from Barcelona to Andorre Arcalis during a 224 km long journey.

First, they tackle a 4th cat. climb, than a 3rd, a first and a third cat. climb again before reaching the huge challange, the HC category climb (yes, mountaintop finish). This final climb is 10 km long, has an average steep percentage of 7.1%.

Now about the chances:

Surely it’s the first test to beat Astana. Cancellara wil surely do everything to keep the jersey, but be realistic: he doesn’t have a chance. Now, with four absolutely superb guys being not far behind the current yellow jersey wearing Swiss rider, it’s the turn of the other contenders like Evans, the Schlecks, Kreuziger and Nibali.

Seeing Evans attack, well, it would be something special: “If Cadel Evans gets ahead, then we don’t know what will happen, because we’ve never seen it before.” so Stephen Roche.

Armstrong: “I didn’t see the Pyrennees this year, I have more recent knowledge of the Alps than of the Pyrennees, so I’m a little uneducated about them this year.”

We don’t know nothing about Vande Velde’s form, so we can’t say whether he’s up for another great performance again or not. With Rogers out of the picture, keep an eye on Monfort and Kirchen of Columbia. Sastre may be 2.44 down, but you never know, he is an awesome climber. I’m not sure what to expect from Pereiro and Luis Leon Sanchez, just like Gerdemann and Karpets (all of them are 3-4 minutes down).

Today we also may find out who really wants that polka-dot jersey…Will Moncoutie have any competition?

It’s time for David Miller to  invest in the best rabbit’s foot money can buy.

Miller (Team Garmin) is one of the classiest riders in pro cycling. He’s also the most jinxed. Since his EPO days as the world’s best time-trialer Miller’s come back clean, honest and relentlessly hard luck. Colds, crashes, mechanicals–it’s been a difficult road back to the top. He’s lost stages by slipped chains, bare seconds and cruel fate.

In today’s 180k stage from Gerona to Barcelona, Miller jumped the early break and was the virtual yellow jersey on the road. Fortune finally cracked a big, wide smile despite the rain, wind and treacherous roads. Numerous crashes slowed the pack with GC hopeful Michael Rogers hitting the tarmac and perhaps ending his tour. But Miller, who’d targeted this stage and admiitted to feeling stronger than he’d felt in years, looked powerful and focused.

The Astana-led peleton sweep up the other breakaway riders, yet Miller stayed in full time trial mode, driving hard, still holding a minute with five kilometers to go. So it was heart-breaking to watch as the slight uphill finish and charging train wiped out his best chance in years. A stage made for the strong sprinters, Thor Hushovd (Cervelo) launched out of Oscar Freire’s slipstream to take the stage. Miller won nothing but a hot hotel shower and another two bowls of pasta.

So we direct David Miller’s attention to the power of the rabbits foot, the light-weight titanium horse-shoe, a bushel of four leaf clovers, whatever he can get his hands on. Miller needs a Get Out Of Jail Card. He’s best friends with Lance Armstrong, so perhaps he should have slipped the Texan 100 euros. As boss of the peloton again, Armstrong could simply have called off the final chase, leaving Miller to solo in a winner.

We applaud David Miller for his out-spoken stance against doping. But we wish he could get a much-needed injection of good luck.

In my vast knowledge of stages of ones personal, social, moral, the hierarchy of human needs, spiritual and intellectual development I have noticed other peoples growth as well as my own.

One of the theories i am highly intrigued with is Erik Erikson’s theory of Personal and Social development. At the moment I know i am progressing through between stages 5 and 6.

Stage 5 states that “Identity vs. Role Confusion – Teenager. Questioning of self. Who am I, how do I fit in? Where am I going in life? Erikson believes that if the parents allow the child to explore, they will conclude their own identity. However, if the parents continually push him/her to conform to their views, the teen will face identity confusion.”

Basically thats me finding out who i really am, what kind of people i should hang with and what i want to do with my life. It also states that my parents allow me to do more things and also they will try to stop putting their influence into me. But they will try to make my face their views.

“The Teen will facen identity confusion” Am i going through that now? I know who I am, but am I really who i know who i am? I dont know.

“Stage 6 – Intimacy vs. Isolation – Young adult. Who do I want to be with or date, what am I going to do with my life? Will I settle down? This stage has begun to last longer as young adults choose to stay in school and not settle.”

this one is about love and relationships. Basically in stage 6 it expresses the need for a serious relationship with someone.

After a conversation with someone about the people they have been with and done things with. It makes me feel like im missing out on an essential part of my development. I feel as though i am closing in on Stage 6, the need for a relationship. Who with? how will i optain said relationship? I dont know.

Located where I am, there are only a few people I know who could, but with those? I Wouldnt touch them for a few of my own perosnal reasons.

Not just this persons conversation lead me on this spiral to negativity, it was a few other factors as well.

So really, I desire a relationship? Maybe… Im not sure, I just want a hug, i want someone to talk to easily, I want this person to be someone who knows the REAL me and only a few people on the internet know who i REALLY am or know more about me then anyone who i fraternize with including my parents.

I want someone, anyone. I am lonely. Deserted, Hollow, Alone, Envious, Empty, Cold and Burnt.

I crave someone, anyone…. emotionally and sexually (omg yes i said it!) wait, crave is not the best word to use. As it suggest ive had it before. I have never had someone emotionally and / or sexually. Oh it would be divine. just to have someone.

Ok really, wanna know what I meen? To the really abrupt point

- I want to kiss someone

- I want sex

- I want to shove my penis into something

- I want to be satisfied with myself for doing so

- I want my penis to be inside you in any orifice of your body [lol descriptive]

- I am horny, I admit that

- I want someone, anyone.. on a few conditions

1. They dont live in Ulladulla

2. They meet my standards

3. They want me in some way aswell.

- I want… a hug.

I am really struggling to sift through the thoughts in my head to find the socially acceptable ones to put in this blog.

At this present time. My “dark passenger” has userped the vast majority of my mind. I have been flooded with thoughts like:

“No one loves you”
“No one wants to hug you, no one that isnt your family and even then do they not want to hug you”
“Who would love you? No one”
“You are shit!”

Why cant my dark passenger just FUCK OFF! Seriously I dont want them there! But still he is there, late at night he usually comes out and consumes my mind with thoughts of negativity.

I have finally started to take charge of my own life. howso you might not be asking or caring? well

As complained about in my last blog about my physical appearnance and stuff…

I have started to change that now. I am doing my hair more often (not in public yet though, soon  my pets, soon) and people are saying it looks good [from pictures on dailybooth and such http://dailybooth.com/Jordan [yes i got Jordan as a username lol]]

I have been wearing more “Out there” clothes recently. Like the other day at school on my half day I wore skinny jeans, a tight, long sleeve shirt, my coat which i love [for some of the day i wore it] and a nice scarfe.

But the thing is, people who are skeptic of change on this town made rude comments on my atire, I didnt care. I still wore it, which shows a significant change in my perception of myself. As the old me would take the clothing item off that people were paying out and stuff, i left it on.

I am going to get my hair done sometime this week at a salon [omg it will look nice for once]

Stage 5:

Another spectacular mountaintop finish, what a shame I couldn’t watch the stage…

Menchov’s win is a sign, a big sign that he is a real contender, now we something about his form.Di Luca showed steadiness again, he rides like a real contender. Lövkvist is a suprise again, he might be the next Andy Schleck at the Giro; don’t forget, he’s a good time trialist. He might have lost the pink jersey to Di Luca this time, but it might be even better for Columbia this way.

Basso and Leipheimer did well, they know they shouldn’t give it all yet, losing 5-10 seconds can be easily made up in the time trial. Astana did a fantastic job for Levi and even more for Lance, leading them to the finish line safely.

Losers of the day are the guys of Lampre, Bruseghin has lost 2.26, Cunego has lost 2.39 and also Garzelli of Acqua, losing almost 5 and a half minutes. Is there a way to make these losses up somewhere? I don’t think so…

Stage 6:

This stage has not been that difficult, part of an early breakaway made it home: Michele Scarponi. Hadn’t he lost so much time at stage 5, I’m sure LPR wouldn’t have let him get away.

I am suprised by the arrival of the peloton: Boasson Hagen, Davis, Pozzato took 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively, which means, sprinters could survive and do well in the finish. I wonder why Lance, Soler, Danielson, Dave Z couldn’t keep up with them, though their losses were not that terrible.

Di Luca is still in the lead, 43 seconds ahead of Levi, 50 of Menchov, 1.06 of Basso and 1.16 of Sastre. Cunego is at 3.29, Lance 4.13, Scarponi 5.23.

Just beginning a Year 11 unit on Macbeth (comparing Shakespeare’s play to a film version). Going through my resources I would have to say that I find the following three online resources provide all the material my students will need to supplement their reading:

1. Royal Shakespeare Company resources for Macbeth, in particular the online play guide
2. The No Fear Shakespeare ‘translation’ of Shakespeare’s play into modern English
3. Notes on Macbeth from the new literature website Shmoop (still in Beta)

These sites don’t take a ‘cheat sheet’ approach to the play, but instead help students to cut through the language and think more deeply about the play in production, which in turn helps them to find meanng in the play.  Are there any ‘must see’ sites that you would add?  Of course all the big Shakespearean plays have a million online summaries, but would you add anything from those to my best of list above?

I would LOVE to get more adventurous and use Angela Thomas’ Second Life Virtual Macbeth island, but the machines at school would seriously not cope (on so many levels!)  I might see later in the unit if the students would be willing to explore this from home.

Leo has the polarity of arrogant and disrespected, so with Tungsten that polarity plays in the world of construction, leadership and responsibility (goldseries/capricorn).

Bring about the perfect society. Making practical, efficient connections with others on the physical plane. Ambitious, feels pride in accomplishments. Reality, hard facts. Relationship to authority. Serious, determined, disciplined, focused. Fathering, disciplining love. Authority figures. Seeks certainties in life. Want things in concrete. Concerned with the practical relationships to support yourself within society. Not interested in blue sky ideas, needs to bring theory into concrete reality. Knowing the rules and playing the game.

The complement of leo and stage 6 is aquarius which has the polarity of destruction and nervousness. The middle path of aquarius is invention, which is needed to get to the purpose of stage 6, expression.

So Tungsten is about expression (stage 6) of ambition (goldseries).

On the longest stage of the tour, Mark Cavendish and Team Columbia work the train to perfection getting the win.  With an exceptional lead out by George Hincapie and excellent support by Kim Kirchen, Cavendish was dropped at the 150m mark in prime position to bring it home.  At the moment Cav took over, Hushovd all ready had him by a half a bike.  Cav punched the crank and within 50m he had distanced all sprint contenders and took the line, Wow.  He has the legs to contest and that means we’ve got a new rider to watch on the flatlands this tour.

This was a really dry stage today. Unless you enjoy the banal banter of the race announcers, save you’re viewing time for a stage with more potential.  Three minutes of highlight footage is all you really need.  Not much but a long breakaway to follow and no-namers at that.  The sprint will be the highlight of the day.

Team Columbia impresses me more and more.  There GC hopes appear to be on the back of Kirchen.  Kirchen, riding for T-Mobile, was 7^th at last year’s tour and clearly capable of besting that effort.  I expect he will be marking Evans, Valverde and Menchov among others when the road turns upward.  Tomorrow’s stage introduces two 2^nd category climbs that may hint at Kim’s strength and competitiveness.  It will be interesting to see how the team is used to set Kim up for a run.  I’m sure Hincapie will provide pace for one of the mountains.  Let’s see who is on point for the other probably Lövkvist.

2008 TdF Stage 6 Elevation Profile

Team Columbia is well positioned with three riders in the top 10 with Kirchen 2^nd, Hincapie 7^th and Lövkvist 8^th.  All of them are in the mix to be competitive for GC though Kirchen will be supported in the mountains most likely.

Noticeably absent from today’s finish were team Garmin/Chipotle.  Only Julian Dean placed in the sprint finish in 10^th.  There are two riders in the top 10 overall including Millar and Vande Velde.  I expect Millar will fade in the mountains like past years but Vande Velde could show us something.  Let’s see tomorrow.

USA is different. Si en España cada vez que las productoras de cine intentan denunciar a páginas de elinks o torrents acaban con un palmo de narices, en USA es totalmente lo contrario, y la muestra más reciente es una sentencia que condena a dos páginas a pagar entre ambas 4 millones de $ de multa.

Lo más triste del asunto es que las páginas ShowStash.net y Cinematube.net no alojaban en sus servidores ningún archivo, sino que eran dos sitios (de los que hay muchos) que linkeaban los contenidos de otros sitios (supongo que de Stage 6).

Siguiendo el razonamiento de la MPAA y ciertos jueces americanos por esta regla de tres, deberían de denunciar a Google y a cualquier otro tipo de buscador. Pero claro Google tiene abogados y estos pobres pardillos no tienen mi para pipas.

Afortunadamente la locura no ha llegado hasta semejantes extremos en España.

Stage 6 has the polarity between arrogant and disrespected with the purpose of expression. But this expression needs the complement of aquarius which has the polarity between destructive and nervousness but with the purpose of invention.

Freedom and cooperation between individuals. Free-thinking, unorthodox, far-sighted, idealistic, utopian. Impersonal thinking, detached from emotional considerations. Interested in focussing the mind to formulate new and unusual ways of dealing with people, groups society and the world. Progressive view of things and rarely follow the beaten path. An insatiable urge for discovering that which isn’t known. Or developing that which is known into something which is new, refreshing and completely different.

So this is the phase of expression (leo) in the process of the lanthanides, which as a whole is about bright (gemini) truthseekers (sagittarius/scorpio) that concentrate (taurus) on their inner world (scorpio) to become autonomous (scorpio) individuals with mindpower (gemini/scorpio).

Next: Promethium

Molybdenum is the first remedy from the individual part of the silverseries. After the primordial spirit, body, mind and soul, we now get to the individual spirit (leo).

And together with that, the complement aquarius.

Progressive view of things and rarely follow the beaten path. An insatiable urge for discovering that which isn’t known. Or developing that which is known into something which is new, refreshing and completely different.

Molybdenum is in stage 6, the same as Chromium. Scholten calls it the initiation, the fire walk. Not an exercise but the real thing.

Challenge to do something creative. Initiated in their own creativity. Not open for others, turn inside to unite all their strength for their performance. Wilful and dominating. Not want to burden others with something they see as a personal challenge. Have to do it all by themselves. Prove they can show their ideas. Feeling forced to be creative. Point of no return. Can not go back and do not dare to go on. Pressure themselves, by taking assignments. Force themselves to be creative. Want to remain free, go their own way. Appear very proud. Great fear they will not succeed, afraid to loose their face. Prefer not to show what they are doing, but try out first. While challenged they get triggerd to perform. Work has to speak for itself. Not want to explain it. Hide their aspirations, because they still have to earn the fame. Doubt if they will ever succeed to make something creative, that will be worth something. If they fail, they feel it as a humiliation.

DivX hat mitgeteilt, das es seine Videoplattform Stage6 am 28. Februar 2008 abschalten wird. Begründet wird dieser Schritt mit der Konzentration aller Kräfte auf das Kerngeschäft, die Lizenzierung von Geräten und die Weiterentwicklung des Codecs.

Viele Stream Seiten werden dies nicht so toll finden da dies als Perfekter Hoster bekannt war.

Fue bonito mientras duró, pero lo cierto es que nos sabe a poco el tiempo que ha durado este estupendo servicio de alojamiento de videos en calidad Divx.

Tal y como anuncian en su blog oficial Stage 6 dejará de funcionar a partir del próximo día 28 de febrero. Esto supone que infinidad de páginas con videos online dejarán de poder ofrecer el contenido que hasta ahora alojaban en este servidor.

Las causas del cierre se deben a que no pueden mantener los altos costes de mantenimiento, y seguir luchando contra las denuncias que les presentan cada día.
