He plays Jacob Black,  who is in love with Bella, but is in the tribe of werewolves .  This makes for the compelling push and pull between the enmity that exist between the vampires and werewolves.

Interestingly enough, it has become a marketeer’s dream for the film, since Lautner’s fan base has grown and pitted him against the popular Robert Pattinson.  This has made the feverish hunger for the opening of the movie “The Twilight Saga New Moon“  even more epic.

Lautner’s star is on the rise and, by all indications, is going to surpass Pattinson who has not seemed as accessible to the fans.

Now, if I remember correctly, I did a kind of ‘first impression’ review of Lucky Star, after only seeing one episode. Well, now I’ve gotten to episode 16, and my opinions have really changed, so I’m going to do a quick review of it again

The first thing that I would like to comment on would be the animation. I’ve read a lot of reviews in which people complain that it is not up to the level that Haruhi Suzumiya was, but does it really need to be. The animation in Lucky Star is all about bright colours, and cute-looking characters – and it really does suit the mood of the show perfectly.

The opening theme is, well, interesting. To be honest, catchy as it is, it just gives me a headache, and I usually skip it.

The main characters are all pretty interesting, particulary Konata and Kagami, who are as-good-as polar opposites, but still really great friends. Not to mention Konata’s manga/gaming/anime obsession; I will never get bored of the classic ‘Legendary Girl A’ joke, where the employees of various manga-based stores try desperately to make her buy their products. There are various other characters too, but Konata and Kagami seem to be the ones holding the show.

The plot is… non-existent. The story is about a group of girls just going about their day-to-day lives, while having conversations that most teenage girls would have. Despite this, the characters are so much fun that a plot wasn’t really needed, and would probably have just gotten in the way.

Overall, I’m really enjoying watching Lucky Star, and would definately recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute anime, with fun characters, and some good comedy in there too (although, there are A LOT of Haruhi Suzumiya references, so you might want to watch that anime first ).

Tony Gonzalez,  prête son corps musclé dans le but de soutenir  le traitement éthique des animaux. En compagnie de sa femme Octobre, le duo se déshabille et pose nu devant les cameras. Pour l’association Peta (People for Ethical Treatments of Animals.)

Si l’on souhaite se faire entendre, il faut pouvoir se démarquer. Concrètement, la campagne de communication de la  PETA illustre cela. Depuis trente ans, cette association mène entre autre une campagne contre les partisans du port de la fourrure de tous poils. Dans le monde des pipoles, qu’elles soient pour ou contre, les stars affirment leur position et n’hésite pas à poser nus. Extraits.

Eva Mendès et Pamela Anderson n’hésitent pas. Reste à voir si cela permet vraiment de sensibiliser les personnes à un meilleur traitement des animaux. Une chose est sûre, cela plaît.

Brittanya O’Campo, one of those chicks from the VH1 shows “Rock of Love” and “Charm School”, has filed a police report claiming she was date raped last Friday night. The folks over at the The Dirty published a nude photo of Brittanya slumped over after the alleged crime below:

But the story even gets more bizarre. The alleged rapist, a Portland, Ore. club promoter, rumored to be called Dusty, says the sex was consensual and even thanked Brittanya for the one night of, um, passion. He told her: “I can not even believe last night!!! I had sooo much fun tho.” He did this on Twitter, of course!

Now another man has come to Brittanya’s defense. Andrew Vrakas, Director of Operations, for I Love VH1 Party (who? what?) sent a letter to The Dirty asking them to remove the photo and to add, that while Brittanya may be a drunk who sleeps around, she would never willingly have sex with a promoter. Never.

“She said she believes someone put something in her drink because she only had 3 drinks and is known for keeping control. She is pressing charges against the perps and has hired a layer to go after anyone who needs to be gone after… I’m a promoter and I know Brittanya well. I know she is no angel, but I know she doesn’t screw promoters.. maybe celebs… but not a lowly promoter! She seems likes a bad ass, but she is a sweetheart and a mother with an 8-year-old son.”

Firepits make for a great garden party. The warm glow of the fire complimenting the warm conversation. They are also perfect for roasting marshmallows over. But what about when they are not in use? The blackened pit can often look a wee bit manky. So step in the firepit/coffee table combo. When not in use, the lid hides the charred pit and provides someplace for you to put your latte.

Johnny Depp et moi

On ne peut pas être  fan que de stars féminines.  Autant j’aime Cameron Diaz autant j’aime Johnny Depp. Même s’il est vrai que l’exercice est plus facile quand il s’agit de s’identifier aux femmes, le contraire s’avère un peu périlleux. Mais on est fan ou on ne l’est pas!

Tout a commencé en 1987. Dès les premiers épisodes de 21 jump Street. Le mauvais garçon de cette série culte arborait dans la vraie vie un look de jeune premier. Ray ban sur le nez, sourire mystérieux. Mais il avait déjà donné la preuve qu’il serait un grand comédien. Un comédien qui s’implique dans ses rôles, qui les habite, un comédien qui joue pour gagner.

Comment je le sais? Une intuition. Un pressentiment de fan. Quelque chose que l’on partage avec un acteur en qui l’on croit.

J’aime Johnny Depp avec ce corps à la fois frêle et athlétique, avec la cigarette en moins tout de même. Les cheveux coupés très courts et cette frange qui ne le quitte pas. Complétement en marge de tous ces body buildés. Il plait dans sa simplicité et son naturel désarmant.

Comment réagit- on en voyant Johnny Depp dans cette chemise à rayures, légèrement ouverte sur ses pectoraux?

Fan toujours! Le langage des vêtements est très instructeur. Il est avide de liberté. Les cheveux ont pris un peu de longueur. Pas trop. Mais libres. Toujours une mèche égarée quelque part. Une chemise un peu grande pour son corps en mutation. Un regard franc et une bouche pleine de mystère.

Si j’ai pu détester les marcel un jour, avec lui tout paraissait à sa place. J’aimais les marcel de Johnny. Parce c’était lui; Ici nous retrouvons ses mèches. Les franges de révolté qui reviennent sans cesse. Il change constamment de look. Malgré le côté négligé, il y a de la recherche. Toujours ces chaînes, permanente contradiction du rebelle en quête de port d’attache. Johnny donnait l’impression du bad boy à la recherche de celle qui saura le dompter. J’adore ses tatouages.

Johnny est une personnalité versatile. Il est en perpétuelle transformation, exhibitioniste dans sa façon de varier son style. Pour une fois je n’adhère pas à celui-ci; mais c’est Johnny: chemise beaucoup trop protectrice. Il me parait inaccessible dans cet ensemble…

Un de ses looks que je préfère c’est le look destroy. Sans doute les années Kate Moss. J’adore cette mèche qui est là, encore et toujours. Oui, joue moi quelque chose de sweet Johnny!

Et si pour me détendre le soir, tu me jouais du piano??

Même si tu m’as effrayée parfois avec ton accoutrement de pirate des caraibes, je reste une fan inconditionnelle.
