Arizona State and University of Arizona football fans don’t agree on much, but they do have a chance to work together before Saturday’s annual showdown at Sun Devil Stadium and to help those in the state struggling to feed their families.

The first annual “Territorial Cup Series Food Fight,” sponsored by State Farm Insurance, will take place outside the stadium in the hours leading up to kickoff. Demand has doubled for emergency holiday food boxes during the early stages of this holiday season, and St. Mary’s Food Bank is hoping fans from both teams will help with donations of non-perishable food and cash that will go immediately to work in 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties.

Volunteers from ASU4Food and State Farm Insurance will be stationed at numerous food-drop locations surrounding the stadium. The ASU4Food group is also holding a raffle and those who donate are eligible to win a football or Sun Devil Stadium panoramic photo autographed by ASU coach Dennis Erickson.

HOUSTON (Houston Chronicle) – State Farm Lloyds has been ordered to issue $310 million in refunds to home insurance policyholders.

Insurance Commissioner Mike Geeslin said this completes insurance reforms that began in 2003 following years of record rate increases. Regulators had then ordered the company to cut its rates 12 percent.

The refund amounts to 6.2 percent of premiums for those the company insured from September 2003 to August 2004, and 3.4 percent of premium for each year of coverage for customers insured from September 2004 to July 2008.

State Farm, Texas’ largest home insurer with about 1.2 million policyholders, has ten days to appeal the order.

IT’S SO OVERWHELMING! Let’s do a little recap. Sunday night Monica, Larry, Ian, –

IT’S SO OVERWHELMING!

Let’s do a little recap. Sunday night Monica, Larry, Ian, – the cutest baby boy on earth - and Lily the dog, were suddenly displaced by a fire. Our volunteer Fire Department along with several surrounding community volunteer fire departments, EMS and local police saved the little house on Main Street from total destruction.

With the help of the Red Cross, Monica was able to get her medications for the night. Monica has M.S., and has already been through a lot. Our local grocery store, The Village Market was on hand to help her get some groceries for the night. A big thank you to Judy and Bobbie! MacGyver and Billy Bob secured the house and covered the holes in the roof, since it had started to rain, and has rained everyday since the fire. Miss Laney watched over Lily and Chris, the best baby sitter in the world, gladly took baby Ian to her house away from all the commotion. ( and Sophia made things a little better on Tuesday)

Monica, Larry, Ian and Lily were able to go to Tami’s. (Monica’s Mom’s home.) Which was a blessing since Tami is move out-of-state in the next two weeks. Funny how things happen! It gives her and Monica sometime together. Things always seem better when Mom is near and I’m a firm believer in, “everything happens for a reason”.

In the past three days, Monica has contacted the insurance company – State Farm - who quickly got a restoration company, Servpro, to go in and remove items that might be salvageable. They cleaned some emergencies cloths for them, and she should be hearing from a contractor with in the next few days. She is a little overwhelmed with all the paper work and running that is involved, but she has had a lot of support for close friends and family. Which is so important when you are faced with a life changing event.

I know Monica, Larry and the baby will make it through all of this. She is a strong little girl! I can see so many new and wonderful opportunities for her. Yesterday, while she sat at my table she told me that one thing she has already learned is that she will no long put importance on gathering useless items. Her hoarding days are over, she said. That is a lesson for us all! It’s not about what you have. Family, friends and life is much more important. There will be so many things she learns from this and so many things she will be able to share.

I'll help you Monica! Everything is O.K.!

Everything happens for a reason. Monica is perfecting her glass of lemonade and with every sip…..it will get better!

With companies struggling to stay a float during these tough times customer service is becoming the

With companies struggling to stay a float during these tough times customer service is becoming the deciding factor in customers purchasing decisions.

Survival Insurance is running with its new slogan “Its all about you”, which translates into an all new customer service area that is handling all of Survival Insurance’s clients. The “All about you” campaign was started in September with a bang in the Los Angeles area and has since shown a large amount of success in new insurance business and resigned clients.

Approximately 70% of customers hit the road not because of price or product quality issues, but because they did not like the human side of doing business with the provider of the product or service. Research conducted by The Forum Corporation supports this fact and indicates that 45% of these customers said they switched to another company because the attention they did receive was poor in quality.

“Your customers are your lifeblood. Just as you would for your friend, you must take time to identify, acknowledge, communicate, value, and respond to them and their needs. If you tell a customer you’ll get back to him within a particular frame of time, do it. If you promise to meet him after hours, honor your word…and be on time. This shows him you value his business and his time. It also means you’re keeping track of the details, a personalized touch that means a lot in today’s automated world!” says Sam N., Vice President of Sales Survival Auto Insurance.

“This letter is to let you know how much I appreciate renewing my auto insurance policy. I usually hate speaking to people on the phone especially customer service reps. They usually act like robots and are not friendly or helpful. Sarah is one of a kind. Her sparkle and joy for life and people really showed. She was extremely helpful.” — C. Morrey, Survival Auto Insurance customer.

Instead of the reason that a company is in business at all, today’s customers are most often treated like a nuisance. Products and services
continue to increase in cost. Customer service, on the other hand, continues to decline. Dealing with busy cashiers who seem to have more important things to do than ring up your sale are the rule rather than the exception. It seems that businesses today have forgotten how valuable customers actually are. No one earns a paycheck, without customers.

About Survival Insurance Brokerage
Survival Insurance Brokerage Inc. was founded in 1982, with the sole purpose of providing consumers with the ability to comparatively shop their auto insurance rates with a number of high quality insurance companies with one simple phone call. In a matter of minutes the consumer receives all the competitive information required to confidently make the purchase of auto insurance simple and rewarding, in the form of substantial savings.

The new campaign launched by Survival Insurance is having quite an affect on the public. And, the public is “YOU”, and “It’s All About You”speaks to many different niches of the marketplace.

From the Hollywood couple to mr. and mrs. middleclass America to the all-nighters across California, Survival wants “you” to know that customer service is what we’re all about and what our business has been about for over 26 years.

As a brokerage, Survival shops over 400 insurance companies for their customers which guarantees the lowest rates and best policy terms that can be found.

For years customers have thought their agent represents them when it’s time for a claim. Not so in all instances. They represent the company they work for. Survival agents go to bat for their clients because they want to have them stay and in doing so, the Survival agent can speak for teh customer and the insurance company will listen them the agent before they listen to the customer.

When it comes time for renewing your policy, call these guys…they’re “All ABout Helping You!”

Survival insurance recently launched a new campaign unbder the banner “It’s All ABout You!”.

What’s that mean, you ask? Well, for years there has been broker bashing going on in the insurance community and finally, Survival Insurance, which IS a brokerage, has come out with this campaign as a way to put it’s competitors on notice that there’s nothing more important than servicing it’s customers and one if not the most imprtant and successful ways has been to shop over 400 insurance companies for the best rates and coverages for them. That’s what it’s all about. Survival agents represent their clients NOT the insurance companies.

It's All About You - hollywood pin up poster

This new email banner being used by many of the Survival agents is getting a great response as the public is drawn in by the imagery and the message that who ever you are, it IS ALL ABOUT YOU! People want to feel important and recognized as being an individual and this new campaign addresses people from all walks of life and some of the images are quite on the edge and some are pretty mainstream.

It's All About You- The Musician

Survival Insurance has a large customer base of motorcycle riders which this poster speaks to. The company has always found itself catering to the younger crowd and many of the images have that message. Here are a few more;

It’s all about service and Survival Insurance clearly hits the nail on the head with htis campaign. If it’s all about you…call Survival!

While we were enjoying the lunch, Brad Couch from Clean Fuels Ohio gave an informative presentation on alternative fuels, tips on improving fuel economy and non-vehicle options. Brad also mentioned about using algae as an alternative energy source.

To give you a better perspective on what algae can actually do for us, check out this article about the first algae fueled car that was scheduled to travel from San Franciso to Washington, using 10 days and only 25 gallons of fuel. It is very intriguing!

Our next event will be on October 15 in Columbus. More details will be available on our website, Facebook page and LinkedIn group soon. So stay tuned!

It’s a common question lately. When do the new laws go into effect?

Some go into effect next year.

The Journal Sentinel wrote a story about this a while ago.

Motorists will need to have a policy providing at least $50,000 in bodily injury coverage for one person, $100,000 in bodily injury coverage per accident and $15,000 to cover property damage. The current limits are $25,000, $50,000 and $10,000, respectively. The higher limits go into effect Jan. 1.

Your new policy or renewed policy must include underinsured motorist coverage starting November 1, 2009.

Underinsured motorist coverage, which now is optional, will be required for state drivers on new or renewed policies starting Nov. 1.

Auto insurance will be required starting June 1, 2010.

I hope this answers some of those questions.

Nope, it’s from those assholes at State Farm insurance. Is this truly the worst commercial ever? No probably not, but it is the kind of advertising that makes me want to vomit. It’s filled with fake scenes, fake actors, and fake emotions. This is truly advertising at it’s worst. Here is a suggestion, trying falling behind on you insurance premiums and then see if your good, caring, compassionate friends form State Farm are still there for you.

I’m always impressed when a company does something new and become the pioneer that soon other companies will follow. The insurance business does not have the best reputation. The public view these people as boring, stuffy, old and money hungry – similar to the accounting world.

Technology has really evolved in the last few years with smarter and faster hardware, advanced software and the concept of web 2.0 (which is all about interactivity). I’m not sure if you are aware but State Farm launched an iPhone application called, “My Insurance Card”. This application allows State Farm clients with iPhones to access their insurance information which includes an image of their insurance card, and the ability for the client to find out their coverage instantly. This application has the capability to submit a claim and in case of emergency, take a photo with the iPhone and submit them and record accident details and vehicle damage. Did you know that Health Sciences are slowly evolving to what we will know it as e-Health where all our records and Health Card information will be stored online for easy retrieval that you and your health care professional can access. They will soon allow people to have a choice not to carry their Health card because of that reason.

State Farm, I’m thoroughly impressed! They have a Twitter account which also tweets frequently and releasing an iPhone application for their insureds. What a great marketing sales tool you have created.

The iPhone application, My Insurance Card, conveniently tied in to a story a blogger posted online which circulated on the Internet about a gentleman, who also happens to be a lawyer, was stopped by a cop and was asked for his insurance card. He didn’t have it on hand, but he remembered he had an image of it on his iPhone. When debating if it was still legitimate, the man said, where in the law did it say people had to have a paper insurance card? With that argument, the cop could not answer and let him go with a warning. The lawyer happened to be signed on with State Farm and now State Farm is further circulating this story on Facebook and Twitter. If you want to read the whole story, click here: How My iPhone Got Me Out of a Ticket. I would be thoroughly more impressed if I found out that when you renew and update your insurance information, it gets updated instantly to your file which you then can access through your iPhone.

Currently it is not available in Canada, but I’m guessing it is a matter of time that State Farm Insurance rolls it out to Canada or another insurance company mimics it. I think it is smart. The application is free, many people have an iPhone (last quarter the iPhone and Blackberry sold over 400,000 units in Canada).

The iPhone application is a great idea, but what about the Blackberry users? So many more professionals and students alike have recently jumped on the bandwagon on the Blackberry. From my experience more professionals use a Blackberry. Prior to graduating from college, I saw more students carrying a Blackberry than any other phone, including the iPhone. It could be because in Canada, iPhone is only available at Rogers or Fido (same company and only GSM company in Ontario, far as I know) whereas RIM distribute their products to wireless companies that are both GSM and CDMA.

I wonder what’s next in the insurance world because slowly insurance companies are adapting to technology and changing the way it’s run. This new iPhone application might also help dispel some rumors and preconceived notion that insurance industry is boring, stuffy, and old.

Insurance companies
Insurance companies may be classified into two groups:
Life insurance companies, which sell life insurance, annuities and pensions products.
Non-life, General, or Property/Casualty insurance companies, which sell other types of insurance.
General insurance companies can be further divided into these sub categories.
Standard Lines
Excess Lines

myspace Comments – Myspace Hot Comments

In most countries, life and non-life insurers are subject to different regulatory regimes and different tax and accounting rules. The main reason for the distinction between the two types of company is that life, annuity, and pension business is very long-term in nature — coverage for life assurance or a pension can cover risks over many decades. By contrast, non-life insurance cover usually covers a shorter period, such as one year.
In the United States, standard line insurance companies are “mainstream” insurers. These are the companies that typically insure autos, homes or businesses. They use pattern or “cookie-cutter” policies without variation from one person to the next. They usually have lower premiums than excess lines and can sell directly to individuals. They are regulated by state laws that can restrict the amount they can charge for insurance policies.
Excess line insurance companies (aka Excess and Surplus) typically insure risks not covered by the standard lines market. They are broadly referred as being all insurance placed with non-admitted insurers. Non-admitted insurers are not licensed in the states where the risks are located. These companies have more flexibility and can react faster than standard insurance companies because they are not required to file rates and forms as the “admitted” carriers do. However, they still have substantial regulatory requirements placed upon them. State laws generally require insurance placed with surplus line agents and brokers not to be available through standard licensed insurers.
Insurance companies are generally classified as either mutual or stock companies. Mutual companies are owned by the policyholders, while stockholders (who may or may not own policies) own stock insurance companies. Demutualization of mutual insurers to form stock companies, as well as the formation of a hybrid known as a mutual holding company, became common in some countries, such as the United States, in the late 20th century. Other possible forms for an insurance company include reciprocals, in which policyholders ‘reciprocate’ in sharing risks, and Lloyds organizations.
Insurance companies are rated by various agencies such as A. M. Best. The ratings include the company’s financial strength, which measures its ability to pay claims. It also rates financial instruments issued by the insurance company, such as bonds, notes, and securitization products.
Reinsurance companies are insurance companies that sell policies to other insurance companies, allowing them to reduce their risks and protect themselves from very large losses. The reinsurance market is dominated by a few very large companies, with huge reserves. A reinsurer may also be a direct writer of insurance risks as well.
Captive insurance companies may be defined as limited-purpose insurance companies established with the specific objective of financing risks emanating from their parent group or groups. This definition can sometimes be extended to include some of the risks of the parent company’s customers. In short, it is an in-house self-insurance vehicle. Captives may take the form of a “pure” entity (which is a 100% subsidiary of the self-insured parent company); of a “mutual” captive (which insures the collective risks of members of an industry); and of an “association” captive (which self-insures individual risks of the members of a professional, commercial or industrial association). Captives represent commercial, economic and tax advantages to their sponsors because of the reductions in costs they help create and for the ease of insurance risk management and the flexibility for cash flows they generate. Additionally, they may provide coverage of risks which is neither available nor offered in the traditional insurance market at reasonable prices.
The types of risk that a captive can underwrite for their parents include property damage, public and product liability, professional indemnity, employee benefits, employers’ liability, motor and medical aid expenses. The captive’s exposure to such risks may be limited by the use of reinsurance.
Captives are becoming an increasingly important component of the risk management and risk financing strategy of their parent. This can be understood against the following background:
heavy and increasing premium costs in almost every line of coverage;
difficulties in insuring certain types of fortuitous risk;
differential coverage standards in various parts of the world;
rating structures which reflect market trends rather than individual loss experience;
insufficient credit for deductibles and/or loss control efforts.
There are also companies known as ‘insurance consultants’. Like a mortgage broker, these companies are paid a fee by the customer to shop around for the best insurance policy amongst many companies. Similar to an insurance consultant, an ‘insurance broker’ also shops around for the best insurance policy amongst many companies. However, with insurance brokers, the fee is usually paid in the form of commission from the insurer that is selected rather than directly from the client.
Neither insurance consultants nor insurance brokers are insurance companies and no risks are transferred to them in insurance transactions. Third party administrators are companies that perform underwriting and sometimes claims handling services for insurance companies. These companies often have special expertise that the insurance companies do not have.
The financial stability and strength of an insurance company should be a major consideration when buying an insurance contract. An insurance premium paid currently provides coverage for losses that might arise many years in the future. For that reason, the viability of the insurance carrier is very important. In recent years, a number of insurance companies have become insolvent, leaving their policyholders with no coverage (or coverage only from a government-backed insurance pool or other arrangement with less attractive payouts for losses). A number of independent rating agencies, such as Best’s, Fitch, Standard & Poor’s, and Moody’s Investors Service, provide information and rate the financial viability of insurance companies.
Non-life insurance premia written in 2005
Global insurance premiums grew by 11% in 2007 (or 3.3% in real terms) to reach $4.1 trillion. The macro-economic environment was characterised by slower economic growth in 2007 and rising inflation. Profitability improved in life insurance and fell slightly in the non-life sector during the year. Life insurance premiums grew by 12.6%, accelerating in the advanced economies with the exception of Japan and Continental Europe. Non-life insurance premiums grew by 7.6% during the year. Figures for premium income are not yet available for 2008, but the insurance industry is likely to see a slowdown in new business and falling investment revenue.
Advanced economies account for the bulk of global insurance. With premium income of $1,681bn, Europe was the most important region, followed by North America ($1,330bn) and Asia ($814bn). The top four countries accounted for nearly 60% of premiums in 2007. The US and UK alone accounted for 42% of world insurance, much higher than their 7% share of the global population. Emerging markets accounted for over 85% of the world’s population but generated only around 10% of premiums.
Controversies
Insurance insulates too much
By creating a “security blanket” for its insureds, an insurance company may inadvertently find that its insureds may not be as risk-averse as they might otherwise be (since, by definition, the insured has transferred the risk to the insurer,) a concept known as moral hazard. To reduce their own financial exposure, insurance companies have contractual clauses that mitigate their obligation to provide coverage if the insured engages in behavior that grossly magnifies their risk of loss or liability.[citation needed]
For example, life insurance companies may require higher premiums or deny coverage altogether to people who work in hazardous occupations or engage in dangerous sports. Liability insurance providers do not provide coverage for liability arising from intentional torts committed by the insured. Even if a provider were so irrational as to want to provide such coverage, it is against the public policy of most countries to allow such insurance to exist, and thus it is usually illegal.[citation needed]

Complexity of insurance policy contracts
Insurance policies can be complex and some policyholders may not understand all the fees and coverages included in a policy. As a result, people may buy policies on unfavorable terms. In response to these issues, many countries have enacted detailed statutory and regulatory regimes governing every aspect of the insurance business, including minimum standards for policies and the ways in which they may be advertised and sold.
For example, most insurance policies in the English language today have been carefully drafted in plain English; the industry learned the hard way that many courts will not enforce policies against insureds when the judges themselves cannot understand what the policies are saying.
Many institutional insurance purchasers buy insurance through an insurance broker. While on the surface it appears the broker represents the buyer (not the insurance company), and typically counsels the buyer on appropriate coverage and policy limitations, it should be noted that in the vast majority of cases a broker’s compensation comes in the form of a commission as a percentage of the insurance premium, creating a conflict of interest in that the broker’s financial interest is tilted towards encouraging an insured to purchase more insurance than might be necessary at a higher price. A broker generally holds contracts with many insurers, thereby allowing the broker to “shop” the market for the best rates and coverage possible.
Insurance may also be purchased through an agent. Unlike a broker, who represents the policyholder, an agent represents the insurance company from whom the policyholder buys. An agent can represent more than one company.
An independent insurance consultant advises insureds on a fee-for-service retainer, similar to an attorney, and thus offers completely independent advice, free of the financial conflict of interest of brokers and/or agents. However, such a consultant must still work through brokers and/or agents in order to secure coverage for their clients.

Redlining
Redlining is the practice of denying insurance coverage in specific geographic areas, supposedly because of a high likelihood of loss, while the alleged motivation is unlawful discrimination. Racial profiling or redlining has a long history in the property insurance industry in the United States. From a review of industry underwriting and marketing materials, court documents, and research by government agencies, industry and community groups, and academics, it is clear that race has long affected and continues to affect the policies and practices of the insurance industry.
In July, 2007, The Federal Trade Commission released a report presenting the results of a study concerning credit-based insurance scores and automobile insurance. The study found that these scores are effective predictors of the claims that consumers will file. (http://cynthia-nixon-bio.blogspot.com/)
All states have provisions in their rate regulation laws or in their fair trade practice acts that prohibit unfair discrimination, often called redlining, in setting rates and making insurance available.
In determining premiums and premium rate structures, insurers consider quantifiable factors, including location, credit scores, gender, occupation, marital status, and education level. However, the use of such factors is often considered to be unfair or unlawfully discriminatory, and the reaction against this practice has in some instances led to political disputes about the ways in which insurers determine premiums and regulatory intervention to limit the factors used.
An insurance underwriter’s job is to evaluate a given risk as to the likelihood that a loss will occur. Any factor that causes a greater likelihood of loss should theoretically be charged a higher rate. This basic principle of insurance must be followed if insurance companies are to remain solvent.[citation needed] Thus, “discrimination” against (i.e., negative differential treatment of) potential insureds in the risk evaluation and premium-setting process is a necessary by-product of the fundamentals of insurance underwriting. For instance, insurers charge older people significantly higher premiums than they charge younger people for term life insurance. Older people are thus treated differently than younger people (i.e., a distinction is made, discrimination occurs). The rationale for the differential treatment goes to the heart of the risk a life insurer takes: Old people are likely to die sooner than young people, so the risk of loss (the insured’s death) is greater in any given period of time and therefore the risk premium must be higher to cover the greater risk. However, treating insureds differently when there is no actuarially sound reason for doing so is unlawful discrimination.
What is often missing from the debate is that prohibiting the use of legitimate, actuarially sound factors means that an insufficient amount is being charged for a given risk, and there is thus a deficit in the system.[citation needed] The failure to address the deficit may mean insolvency and hardship for all of a company’s insureds.[citation needed] The options for addressing the deficit seem to be the following: Charge the deficit to the other policyholders or charge it to the government (i.e., externalize outside of the company to society at large).[citation needed]
Insurance patents
Further information: Insurance patent
New assurance products can now be protected from copying with a business method patent in the United States.
A recent example of a new insurance product that is patented is Usage Based auto insurance. Early versions were independently invented and patented by a major U.S. auto insurance company, Progressive Auto Insurance (U.S. Patent 5,797,134) and a Spanish independent inventor, Salvador Minguijon Perez (EP patent 0700009).
Many independent inventors are in favor of patenting new insurance products since it gives them protection from big companies when they bring their new insurance products to market. Independent inventors account for 70% of the new U.S. patent applications in this area.
Many insurance executives are opposed to patenting insurance products because it creates a new risk for them. The Hartford insurance company, for example, recently had to pay $80 million to an independent inventor, Bancorp Services, in order to settle a patent infringement and theft of trade secret lawsuit for a type of corporate owned life insurance product invented and patented by Bancorp.
There are currently about 150 new patent applications on insurance inventions filed per year in the United States. The rate at which patents have issued has steadily risen from 15 in 2002 to 44 in 2006. Inventors can now have their insurance U.S. patent applications reviewed by the public in the Peer to Patent program. The first insurance patent application to be posted was US2009005522 “Risk assessment company”. It was posted on March 6, 2009. This patent application describes a method for increasing the ease of changing insurance companies.

Certain insurance products and practices have been described as rent seeking by critics.[citation needed] That is, some insurance products or practices are useful primarily because of legal benefits, such as reducing taxes, as opposed to providing protection against risks of adverse events. Under United States tax law, for example, most owners of variable annuities and variable life insurance can invest their premium payments in the stock market and defer or eliminate paying any taxes on their investments until withdrawals are made. Sometimes this tax deferral is the only reason people use these products.[citation needed] Another example is the legal infrastructure which allows life insurance to be held in an irrevocable trust which is used to pay an estate tax while the proceeds themselves are immune from the estate tax.

Summertime is here and that means more travelers are hitting the road to their favorite spot to relax and enjoy the sun, beach or mountains and lakes. Most people don’t think to reveiw their policies to make sure they re covered in case of an accident or need a rental to get home. Just because the policy was purchased years ago may also mean your life has changed and you may have not increased coverages when you should have.

Contact one of our agents and they can tell you in five minutes if your covered correctly for the trip.

Have an enoyable summer!

Every summer drivers and riders hit the road for vacation. Gas prices usually rise and tires sales increase as well. One thing we find people don’t do is check their policies for coverage or find out if they are covered in case they need towing or car rentals. This is a very important part of your coverage and something to look at when kicking the tires before heading off into the sunset for that vacation into the mountains or up the coast to that perfect beach resort.

Have a safe and sound vacation on the bike or in the car or RV.
Call us for an instant policy check-up before you take off.

One look at Rani’s face (even after the beard) and those perfect eyebrows, YRF decided that Sona and Jasmine would handle the PR of ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ so that Rani’s new avtaar isn’t taken as too absurd. So they have decided to focus on: look at how adorable she is…don’t focus on the fact that she can’t possibly pass for a man. (By the way, isn’t she sooo cute and adorable. Just love Rani, so versatile. This movie looks like it’s going to be fun!)

Saavn.com along with State Farm Insurance is having a contest to find the next Bollywood singing sitara! Most of Filmistani Fandome is of course going to vote for Sona and Jasmine because they have voices next to none (pun intended)! How else will we get to be in a Filmistani film!

Lara is doing three comedies this year. “I love it when they say they can’t think of anyone else for the part. However, I still feel I have to get that one performance-oriented role which would take me to another level. Every morning I wake up and say, I know it’s out there somewhere.” (I know that Sona and Jasmine are going to be the ones to make the perfect film, which will take me to that next level). Oh Lara, how can we say no! We started on the script just as those words came out of your mouth.

Akshay is just so sweet. As he’s promoting the much awaited release of this year, ‘Kambakkhat Ishq’ he was gushing about all the people he got to work with.
“You set your film in nothing less than Universal Studios, then you do stunts along with Brandon Routh (better known as Superman), (than you get the best stylists in the world Sona and Jasmine, who did both mine and Kareena’s outfits), than you romance with Denise Richards and Kareena Kapoor and then the ultimate pleasure is to share screen space with Ramboji (Sylvester Stallone).”

Shah Rukh had to postpone work on the sci-fi film, RA 1 and instead will be working on Farah Khan’s “Happy New Year” after ‘My Name is Khan’ is finished. He’s really excited about it because Son and Jasmine co-wrote the screenplay for that movie and is sure it’ll bring him even more success, if that’s possible.

P.S. We tried to so hard to go watch New York today and it was playing in three theaters in our area, but it was sold out everywhere! Hopefully tomorrow we’ll get lucky and watch it. Look out for the review!

Where ca we save money? Good question. Is it on groceries, car payments, health insurance, clothes, toys, hmmm. Car insurance? Maybe. It seems that car insurance is really a mine field when it comes to saving on the policy rates. So many variables are there to keep it fluid and then there are so many companies that have vaiables within their products they offer as well as how much the agent/solicitor will tack on for themselves and don’t think they don’t, Mr. Progressive or Geico. How else do you think they make money. Salary? I don’t think so.

So, where do you really save money these days? I suppose in a savings account is the only for sure place.
